Friends with Benies is highly entertaining and a quick read. It is an AMBW Paranormal Romance tale that is funny and sexy. I found myself laughing throughout this adventure. This is my first time reading anything by T.B and I really enjoyed it and her writing style. Included is a bonus chapter that makes you smile.
This is Ryder and Wednesday’s story. They are BFF’s wanting so much more but getting out of their own way at times would be a good thing if they could see what is right in front of them.
I didn’t realise this is the seventh book and as such I have not read the other books in the Paris in Springtime series but I will be going back to them if they are as good as this one.

Break The Darkness is book 2.5 in the YA fantasy Vigilant series. This is another part of Rei’s story. Make sure to read the books in order. This book answers some questions and brings the story together much better than the previous books.
As with the others it is fast-paced and action packed. It is a paranormal story mixed with fantasy and science fiction. Lots of emotions – heartbreak, hope, secrets, suspense, betrayal, mystery, love and sacrifice in a world full of magic and werewolves. .
Some twists and turns and still a few more mysteries left to be answered.
Mythology and mystery, danger and supernatural/paranormal beings, magic and more that I am sure that any YA fantasy lover will enjoy.

Grave Digger Academy II is a good YA paranormal fantasy. I said it with the first book but this book has more of a Harry Potteresque feel to it as the students line up to win the inter-academy face off. I love that the series is fun and light hearted.
Young Witches, death, graves, deadly games and the adventure begins. The story flows nicely and is excitingly intriguing with delightful characters. There are still so many layers to be explored and revealed that looks exciting.
Makayla is back for her second year at the Grave Digger Academy and finds there is still so much more to the Academy. An Academy with lots of secrets and things that are hidden within the grounds and in the darkness.

Ellie and Templeton are back and this time, as well as running the Kitty Beret Café and her costume business, Ellie has a new cat come in looking for a home, but it is a sad case as the owner has died and it is one of her regular customers. It turns out that her dying wish was for Ellie to run a cat show for rescued cats, Ellie thinks it’s a great idea, but is not sure how she will find the time or the money to do it. Fortunately for Ellie, the older lady has donated funds so that she can do it and so Ellie goes ahead and finds a venue and people to judge the entries.
On the morning of the cat show, Ellie is ready to get all the café’s residents ready for their show, this part goes smoothly, but that is the only thing which does. As soon as Ellie enters the building, the let parents descend with demand and complains, with some compliments and thanks sprinkled in, so as she is heading to start her list, she goes into a storeroom, unfortunately she isn’t the only one in there, she finds one of the judges murdered and gets locked in with him.
The janitor comes round and finds her thanks to a raging Templeton and let’s her out, calling the police at the same time, so Detective Dare and his partner show up, but declare that the show can go on as long as the storeroom remains out of bounds. This makes everyone a little bit happier, but the demanding pet parents continue to wreak havoc. As the judging continues, Templeton starts doing his usual thing and brings clues to Ellie, but will they find who the culprit is before anyone else gets hurt? This is another cozy mystery full of felines capers and crazy cat people which will keep everyone reading throughout.

Ellie Warren is a lady on her twenties and she just adores cats, so much so that she has a cafe dedicated to them, it is called the Kitty Beret Café. The café is also a boarding house for the cats, they live there until they are adopted into loving homes and the people who go there go mainly for the cats and a cat themed food or beverage item as a bonus, sometimes it is the other way round though, Ellie also has sells cat related merchandise, as well as making cat costumes, some of which the resident cats wear.
One day, Ellie has a customer who starts shrieking at the top of her lungs, in front of the many other customers say enjoying their lattes, complaining about the cats and how vile they are, proceeding to stomp out of the door with a threat to write something about how disgusting a place the Café is. Ellie thinks no more of it until two detectives come into the café to talk to her about a person who is found dead outside the back of her café, she is shocked to find out about it, especially when she finds out it is the woman from earlier in the day.
As the investigation goes on and Detective Simon Dare tries to figure out who the culprit is, Ellie’s cat Templeton starts bringing her unusual things, she keeps them to one side so that she can show Simon them later, but are they clues or just random objects? This is a cozy mystery full of feline mishaps and mayhem, but with Simon, Ellie and Templeton on the case, it is a mystery which will hook you in completely.

Necrosis by C.L. Schneider is a gripping zombie apocalypse survival story that grasped me tightly in its hold. I have read and loved all Ms. Schneider’s books, so it was a no-brainer for me to snap up a copy of this to dive into. This is a bit of a different direction to her other books that I have read- but, hello, zombie apocalypse….. which turned out to be my favourite of all her stories. This is the story of Amy’s fight for survival for herself and her young daughter after a deadly virus sweeps the world- leaving chaos, destruction, and masses of infected in its wake. This fast-paced, tense, and gripping story is full of action, adventure, horror, danger, dramatic developments, intrigue, sacrifice, challenges, mother’s love/mother-daughter dynamics, family, hope, darker themes, and emotion. Grave Digger Academy II by C.A. King follows on from Grave Digger Academy and continues the intriguing adventures. It is a fantastic YA paranormal fantasy with plenty of mystery, action, tension, intrigue, and dramatic developments. As we discovered in Book One, Makayla didn’t want to attend Grave Digger Academy, but didn’t exactly have a choice. She soon discovers that there was definitely more to Grave Digger Academy than she expected. In this instalment Makayla is about to start her second year, and after what happened in Book One, things are off to an interesting start. With an inter-academy challenge thrown into the mix, there’s plenty of tension in the air, while bringing a huge dose of the unexpected – and so the supernatural adventure begins. Another fun read! Burn is the first book in the Elemental Warriors series and debut novel by Joanna Morgan. This is a fantastic paranormal romance with plenty of originality, danger, Elemental warriors facing off against a powerful supernatural adversary, action, adventure, mystery, intrigue, tension, intensity, chemistry, steam, and agendas. I was drawn to the book by the interesting cover and the fact the blurb promised something a little different in paranormal romance… and, to be honest, Ms. Morgan had me at Elementals. So, I didn’t waste a minute and grabbed a copy and began to immediately explore. I was soon immersed in an exciting story that pulled me in and kept me flipping the pages, avidly reading to discover how things would play out. I loved the creative and original world-building, it really added an extra element of interest to the whole story for me. The whole Elemental Warriors, Sleepers, Chaolt thing was really well done and had me invested right from the opening passages. I think this book sets the series off to a fantastic start and I can’t wait to get my hands on Book #2! If you love paranormal romance you will definitely want to grab a copy of this book to explore. Embers on the Wind is a very complex, thought-provoking, novel. It spins back-and-forth over several generations and deals with some sensitive subject matter. It took a little while to get into this book, but about a quarter way through you can really start to put everything together.
The story has multiple characters that are both despicable and likable. You have to pay very close attention in order to keep track of everything that is going on, but you will find yourself understanding more and more as the book progresses.
We read this book as part of our book club and to get the feedback from different individuals and what their thoughts were enhanced my joy of this book even more. This author has a very unique writing style that takes a little getting used to but you can still enjoy everything about the story. At times it was hard to read parts of it and there may be some things that are a trigger for folks. I appreciated that at the end of this book the author already had book club type questions that brought about even more forethought and discussion. This is not a book that I typically read but was pleasantly surprised.

This book is adorable. And who doesn’t love mermaids?! This book is about two friends playing by a lake (Fig and Maia). Maia can see the mermaid Trezzie, but Fig can’t. It can make this a bit strange when playing. Fig and Maia are playing with stones when Maia spots Trezzie swimming towards them. Trezzie places a small stone next to Maia, but when she shows it to Fig she says it’s to small for their tower. Maia thinks there is something about it because it came from Trezzie. When they look closer they can see that there is something on it, but they need a magnifying glass to see it better. Science to the rescue! Fig says she knows how to make one, and lists an item she needs. Fig doesn’t see Trezzie go into the lake and bring back an item, but it shows up next to her feet!! Fig makes a magnifying glass with the container and they can see what is on the rock. Maia says to show Trezzie, but because Fig can’t see her she lets Maia show her. It turns out that there is a fossil on the stone. Something similar to a Rolly-Polly. The bug that curls up with you touch it. The girls ask if there are more so they can each bring one home. Trezzie leaves and is gone a long time. Fig thinks she got lost and decides to head home. What happened to Trezzie? Does she come back? Do they get their fossils? Read the book to find out that and more!! This book was for my seven year old. She LOVES mermaids and this one is so cute! The story keeps her locked in until the end. And it’s fun to test out some of the science from the books! There are more than one book, but they can be read as stand alone with no problems. I love the added science in the book. That’s not something that is really taught at the younger ages so “sneaking” it in now can’t hurt!

Ellie Warren is the owner of Kitty Beret Cafe. As the name suggests, the store has coffee and cats. The book is an easy read full of cats, a mystery, some funny cat moments, and of course an investigation. Fun to have another glimpse into Ellie’s cafe and the characters both human and cat. I think the author adding the new experience for Ellie by having her host a cat show to get people to adopt cats and extra fun!

This is such a cute book! And I just love the idea of an UnBirthday surprise! Every year Caspin and his Grandpa share a special tradition of a surprise box under his bed for his birthday. This year there was 2!!!! What could that second one be? What could it mean!? He opens up the presents and of course is shocked at what he got. He doesn’t understand why those gifts, but he remembers from previous birthdays (other books in series) that sometimes the gifts are far from what he expects. He brings his gifts downstairs and on the way learns about the first one. After his grandpa explains the bigger gift his mother gives him a hint about the smaller one and rushes off. He smells something out in the hall that brings him to another surprise of the day. What will he do with his new surprises? And what adventures await down the hall? Read this cute children’s book to find out! My 7 year old liked this book. It wasn’t super long and it was a fun plot, so it kept her interest until the end. The illustrations are cute and younger kids can follow the story plot with the pictures easily. I would defiantly recommend this book to kids ages 4-8. Younger kids being read to and the older kids reading out loud. I would also recommend getting the other in the set, but you can read it alone.
Ellie Warren, a kitty cafe owner, finds a herself in a bit of trouble when a very cranky customer who seems to detest cats is found murdered in the alley behind the cafe. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this book. It’s definitely got some mystery aspects to it. I thought it was fun the Ellie made outfits for the cats so that they get adopted by people that want a pet cat. The outfits Ellie makes sound so fun and it’s great the cats seem to tolerate them. Ellie sure sounds like a fun person to hang out with. I also like that Ellie seems to have a budding romance with detective Simon, helps that he seems to be a cat lover too.

Ellie and Templeton are at it again! This time at a cat show! One of Ellie’s long time customers passed away and in her will left some money for Ellie to take and put on a cat show specifically for rescue cats. Ellie, not wanting to refuse the dying wishes, decides to take on the request.
Once at the venue, Ellie is in search of some supplies when she comes across a dead body. The body was that of one of the supposed judges of the event. Ellie calls Simon right away and they decide to carry on with the show. The murderer could still be in the building.
Templeton is up to his normal shenanigans and finding items. Ellie remembering that the items he found a few months ago led to the previous murderer, she doesn’t dismiss anything he finds. Ellie’s attention is spread thin as she is hosting the show, Templeton keeps running off, cat people seem to be prissy and full of complaints. What else can go wrong today?
This book was better than the first in the series. Yes it talked about cats a lot but focused on outside things as well making it more mysterious than the first book. I once again fell in love with Ellie and her sleuth cat.

Jake went on blind date. His friend set him up on blind date with one of their friends. The first date was okay. Jake and his date kept talking everyday. One day Jake went to visit his friend Luke where his date works. Lauren is Luke’s assistant and needs to do something for Luke . Lauren texted Jake and his phone went off so she knew he was her blind date. You have read the rest of the book to see what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

These are the poems of my dreams! I wish I were a poet that could take readers on a journey like this! The illustrations bring the poems to life as you wind further into the rabbit hole as the pages turn. The author’s mind is eclectic and deep as he shares his trippy experiences with readers. Every page is filled with raw emotion that hits deep in the mind and soul. I will read it again and again just to continue unearthing the message behind each piece. This is definitely an amazing read from start to finish.

This was a good follow up to book 1. I really enjoy the cute nature of the story and the plot is enjoyable. Anything with cats in it is a winner for me. It is a cozy mystery novel that keeps you engaged. I really enjoyed the cat show that Ellie hosted.

Fun cozy read to curl up to. This is book 2 of the series and this story is totally enjoyable. Ellie Warren, owner of Kitty Beret Cafe, was asked by a past customer to run a rescue cat show. Hesitant at first, Ellie decides to run with it…that is until she has a run in with a deceased cat judge! Who is behind the murder of a cat judge?? Definitely read and find out.
This series is fun to read….cozy murder mystery with a love of cats in costumes! I also just love Templeton… especially my favorite line of “I’m ready to cause mayhem”.

This installment has a ton of HP vibes, especially with the flying car and the competition among the schools. I enjoyed the story and the character development. You get to know more about the main cast of characters in this book, which was interesting. I particularly liked the scenes with the helper/familiars and the addition to that group. As with the first book, I liked that the author doesn’t put in a bunch of fluff. The story is right to the point with no unnecessary detours. Quick read. Excellent follow up to the first book.

As a lover of everything apocalyptic/dystopian, I grabbed this anthology pretty quickly. Every single one of these stories is great and I highly recommend picking this up. As a bonus, all of the proceeds are going to veterans and first responders, you just can’t beat that.
It was difficult to pick a favorite since all of these were amazing, but Courtney Konstantin’s was fantastic!! From the moment I opened to her page of “Babysitter of the Apocalypse,” I was floored. Non-stop action throughout the whole story and I was racing to read faster just to find out what happened next. My heart can’t take any more suspense for a bit as these got to me! It was wonderful to see the absolute perseverance of the characters and how they worked together to pull through no matter the cost. I cannot recommend this anthology enough, pick it up and catch the thrill ride in each story!

I had not read anything from this author previously, but I am excited to read the rest of this series and her other works. I thought this was a really cute rom-com, murder mystery, with a dash of good humor mixed into it. The main character, Ellie, is in her 20’s, so sometimes I had to remember that some of the things she did, was age appropriate. The author legit had me guessing whodunit right up until the very end. She had red herrings all over the place and they were convincing. I thought it was a very fun and cute book and I look forward to seeing how things pan out between Ellie and the very hot Detective Simon Dare, who seems to have the stamp of approval from her mischievous cat, Templeton.

Ellie is back again and this time she is trying to run a very lengthy cat show for rescue cats. Unfortunately one of the judges, who is an actual judge, turns up dead. Plus side, we get to see more interactions between Ellie and the hot Detective Simon Dare, although the relationship between Detective Dare and her kitty Templeton just continues to get cuter. Again the writer does an amazing job of mixing a murder mystery up into a cute rom-com with such adorable humor. Again, the author does a fantastic job of writing the supporting characters in such a way that I was kept guessing until the very end as to who was the murderer. I am excited to read the third installment in the series!

If the Kitty Beret Cafe was real I would be the most loyal costumer. That being said any cat lover would fall in love with this book because Templeton is the cutest little baby ever. He has so much personality if at the end of the book he turned out to be like Salem from Sabrina then I would not have been surprised. But spoiler alert that did not happen, he is just a cat that saves the day.
Lets talk about who joined Templeton in this cozy mystery: Ellie – the owner of the cafe who is accused of murder. A cat lover to her core, she fosters cats and helps get them adopted. She sews cat costumes and dresses them up for there days at the cafe. Simon- One of the police detectives on the case (the murder of Mary Harrington) Shirl – Works at the cafe Hooper – Works at the cafe Andy – Boyfriend to Shirl, someones tags along on the adoption day drives Mr. Harrington – husband to the victim Cat Hate Group – A group of people who hates cats; friend and frenemies of Mary Harrington.
What I liked about this book was the cat love. While this book is a fun read and all the characters in Canyon Creek are mostly fun characters. In this book everyone is a suspect, and I am not exaggerating EVERYONE is a suspect. At one point this book makes it so that everyone is a creditable suspect at one time and I really thought the husband just wanted her out of the way.
That being said the murderer is revealed and it does make sense though no matter how many cozy mysteries I read I will never understand why they fill the need to confess everything.
This book checked all my boxes, funny, fast read, cats, cozy mystery, sweet and great characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of anyting listed above.

Wow, do I ever like the change of pace. I have watched shows before where different elements are brought into the picture, but this is one of the first novels I’ve read with this take on magic/paranormal aspect within their pages. I absolutely love Brooke’s character throughout, but especially as she’s becoming comfortable in her own skin, and owning her person. She has just met some of her life goals when things get a little steamy, so to speak, and Levi enters into the story.
The character development was wonderful, slow, yet addictive and delightful with every sentence, and I really felt as though I was experiencing the whirlwind of emotions both main characters felt. This author is a new one for me, and I will be sure to read more of her skilled writing soon, especially the next installment in this series. Highly recommend, well worth a read!

Book 1 – Try Easy Fans of Vactation Romances and a good love triangle this is the book for you. In 1968 Mary “Lou” Hunter wants to be a photographer in Seattle. She gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she lands a free trip to Hawaii.
Keoni is a surfer.
During Mary’s trip to Hawaii they have a fling but things aren’t as simple as two people falling in love. Things get complicated as it is not 2 people in this relationship but 3.
Mary must decide if her dream is still Seattle or if she wants to take risk and stay in Hawaii.
Book 2 – Try Me Fans of Fake Relationships Turned Real will Enjoy This One thing I enjoyed about this book is I feel I can take surfing off my bucket list. This book focused on surfing so much I felt like I was doing it myself.
Surfing is how two of our main characters Declan and Peal get to know each other. They admire one another for their skill. Declan unable to handle his friends death flees Hawaii but comes back for a competition and that is the setup of the novel.
As Declan heads back home he must face what has happened.
Pearl doing her best to fulfill her mothers dream of becoming a famous female surfer does everything she can to get her name out there. Including fake dating fellow surfer Declan.
Book 3 – Try Right This is a friends to lover; Celebrity Romance Claudia hanging on to her career but her nails doing her best to not be a has been. Her career gets a much needed rescue with a tv show in Hawaii and there she meets her long time friend Henry.
Henry is a stuntman the best in the business but when he runs into Claudia he has to tell himself to not do anything stupid. Being the best in the business he has to struggle with himself as he continues to tell himself his career is not worth jeopardizing over her.

This is the first book that I have read from Matilda Reyes and I was not disappointed. I was not able to put the book down. I had to finish it from beginning to end. It had me hooked starting from the first page until the last page. Ava Ramos is one furious mage. New York City is her town, and she and her Black Cauldron Detective Agency know every beat of the supernatural underground. Need an object found or secrets uncovered? Ava and her partners are the mages to contact. A former rival, Tasis, shows up with a case that proves Ava just might not know everything about her town. The Lauret Grimoire, the oldest known compendium of the supernatural, has gone missing from one of the most closely guarded magikal libraries in the city. The mages assigned to guard the damned thing can’t find any clues. Tasis is one of those mages. Now, Tasis is calling in the last favor Ava owes him. Ava never breaks her word, so she and the Black Cauldron Detective Agency take the impossible case. I can’t wait to read the second book and see what else happens. I recommend this book for any and everyone. It’s a terrific read and I look forward to more books in the future
River Witch is my first book by this author. I was interested because of the blurb on the cover. I was not disappointed. The story follows Hester, a farmer’s daughter intrigued by the river, Sabrina, and the river nymphs. I liked that this story was a bit magical while having realistic characters. I enjoyed reading how Hester developed into a young woman. The story has twists and is filled with lore and world-building. The story develops slowly and creates a beautiful dialogue between humanity and nature. I look forward to delving into more books by this author soon.
This is the first book of the modern-day fairy tale series and I fell in love with it immediately. The book immediately captured my attention from the very first page and I was not able to put the book down until I had finished it. This is also the first book that I have read from the author and I wasn’t disappointed. Ashley Adams doesn’t have time for haters. Already too busy dealing with dead bodies after her stepmother purchased a mortuary, she is ready to put the lid on her judgmental peers and finally bury her high school experience. Falling in love was the last thing on her mind. Too bad fate had other plans when the local celebrity lands in her life. Pop sensation Harry James is ordered by the court to attend public school for his senior year or face jail time. He can’t afford any bad press if he wants his summer tour to go ahead. The entire gang is back in another Kitty Beret Cafe Mystery and I am so happy about it. I love this series so much that I would still be happy if we were on book 40 and beyond. This series definitely keeps you entertained.
A beloved customer of the cafe has passed away. One of her final requests, have a cat show for sheltered cats. That’s what leads Ellie to find another dead body and that is how our story begins.
Ellie and Detective Simon once again follow the clues.
This is a great read if you enjoy suspense, cats and a good cozy mystery.
