My Pearl Heart by J.N. Sheats
Jasmine Hayes has been running from her memories for years, throwing herself into school, friends, and her business, Divine Events. Quick witted, hot tempered, and a brillaint businesswoman, Jasmine divides her time between organizing events for the social elite, and catering to her best friend’s extreme personality. Life is as it should be, until James Conner sweeps her off her feet. Literally, kissing her silly before announcing his engagement to her best friend.
James Conner comes from a family full of rich and successful people. The Conners are the closest thing to royalty in New England, but James isn’t like the rest of them. A drunk with a string of poor business choices, he used to spend his days wallowing in self-pity. That was two years ago, now he’s determined to right his life. First step, marry Cadence. Second, get the money he needs to start his new venture, and a quick–mutual–divorce per their contract, but there’s an unforeseen problem–Jasmine–the spicy redhead that set him straight two years ago. The woman that has been on his thoughts ever since she kicked him out of his parent’s anniversary dinner.
Can James wait that long to have Jasmine? What will she think about his and Cadence’s insane contract?
This is a stand alone story with a HEA
