The True Purpose of Vines (The Winemakers Book 1) by Giovanna Siniscalchi – Review by Diane Sennett

The True Purpose of Vines: An intoxicating historical romance about wine and love. (The Winemakers Book 1)The True Purpose of Vines: An intoxicating historical romance about wine and love. by Giovanna Siniscalchi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This historical fiction romance takes place in Portugal, 1870. The book is written in vivid detail.
Julia Costa struggles to keep her vineyard productive after the death of her husband. Her financial struggles are only part of her burden as many other wineries are dealing with a plague that could also threaten Julia’s vineyard.
Griffin Maxwell is tasked with collecting Mrs. Costas debts in exchange for a partnership in a larger firm.
Their first meeting isn’t ideal, but it is one that neither of them can forget. The romantic tension that builds between these characters is palpable, and I couldn’t put this book down.
