Things are Shaking (Invisible Magic Wand Series) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Amanda Gonzalez

Things Are Shaking (Invisible Magic Wand)Things Are Shaking by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book two of The Invisible Wand series, this story is a continuation of Caspian’s story after he receives his invisible magic wand. When Caspian uses his wand in front of his cousin, she wants one too. Luckily, Grandpa has one for her and that’s when things get fantastical: everything starts to shake. For children ages 4-8, this book centers on a family with the ability to use wands that control time. The story is short and to the point with well-paired illustrations that are easy to comprehend. The subliminal message about earthquakes/safety during one such event was placed into the story well.
