This was a good story of opposite worlds colliding. Lily, lead singer of Brightside auctions off a date with herself for charity. When the recipient of the date fails to appear multiple times, Lily sets off to find why she was stood up. Rhys, the blind date recipient via his mother, refuses to go because his mindset for the rich and famous don’t allow him to see beyond the surface. Upon finally meeting, the two share a chemistry that neither expected and both must be will to make concessions for the other. Lily fears Rhys will be persuaded by tabloid cover stories and Rhys begins to fear Lily is too big of a star for his dreams. This story was very sweet with a wonderful cast of characters. It takes us on a journey of how far love will let us go if we are faced with the scrutiny of the public eye and the misconceptions that tabloids present. Also, Rhys’s niece Sienna, is an absolutely adorable!

I’m pretty biased on this book because I absolutely love this series due to the plot. Morrigan is a fave of mine and these books are always beautifully written. Well worth the read if you are a fan of deities and like to have some spice to your books. I am still missing a few of the books in this series but even skipping one I did not get lost in reading Rogue. Best Celtic mythology fiction books I’ve had the honor of reading. You’ll fall in love with Baz and Delaney and question everything.

I read this book in two days, hard with 3 kids but enjoyed reading it so much that I could not put it down. It’s a hate to love romance and the first one in the series. Cash and Hollis are next door rivals and play pranks on each other. It’s very entertaining to see how they interact and how the story unfolds. I can’t wait for the next book. My new favorite series.

Just One Time is a wonderfully relatable story about a girl and her best friend and the love they have for one another in secret. Abby is getting older and she wants to have a family but hasn’t found love and isn’t sure of IVF. Nate has loved Abby forever but they are best friends and why ruin it? This story is everything you could want sex, love, real life, and past history.

If you have read Braving Lily you will know some of the names in this story. I love a great hate to love relationship story. This one had some twist I did not expect but made me love it twice as much. What happens if your one week stand turns out to be a manwhore but this whole time you have been wrong? Could you find love and a relationship in this tension?

A story dealing with real life events or what I would think a real life pop/rock star would be like. Rhys and Lily have a honeymoon effect on you. The sappy falling in love, heated up sex moments to the insecurities causing issues. A great read.

Frozen By Lies is the first book in the Sleigh Riders series. It’s perfect if you’re after a paranormal romance that will get you in a festive mood! There’s snow and hot chocolate and everyone has appropriately festive names, but refreshingly it isn’t too cutesy. It’s decidedly an adult book and there’s conflict and animosity as well as romance and magic.
Noelle is a fun protagonist! Proactive and determined, she won’t let matters rest and is ready to stand up to her protective cousins. I also like Grandma Sapphria who stands out from the rest of Noelle’s family as sympathetic and supportive.
This book gets four stars from me. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series – hopefully it will be out in time to enjoy next holiday season.

The Thieves is book two in the Millersville series and while I enjoyed the book, I did not like it as much as Shore Lodge. The premise of the story focuses on Jasmine, who needs quite a large sum of money for her father’s failing health. With limited options, she turns to questionable (and criminal) methods. Along the way, other criminals get involved as well. When Jas and Paul pull off the perfect heist, they think everything is in the clear…until another pair of criminals robs them and leaves them with nothing. Bets and Zerk are wanting to retire from their life of crime, and underestimate the determination of Jas to save her father….The book is written from the two POVs of Jas and Bets, so the chapters will rotate between the two. I liked that the characters were both liked and disliked, and that made them feel a bit more realistic to read. I feel like this book ended too soon, and that may be part of my four star rating, but again, it was not a bad read and I enjoyed the unique story.

Dr Frank Enstein has become the best in his field of Plastic Surgery so when an opportunity comes along to lead his very own trauma clinic for burns he is ready for the challenge. Although leaving the cosy world of private practice for the riggers of a hospital he is determined to make this work as this is a cause close to his heart.
Once meeting his new colleagues he is invited to go out after work, not really a very social person but is spirited along, until he meets the buxom beauty behind the bar but when she approaches him with a question he immediately ends up with the wrong conclusion embarrassing him and her.
Barbara has had the literal weight on her back, although some people see them as beauties, she sees them as uncomfortable, back breaking and down right horrendous. So when she met Frank and hope he was the answer to her prays as soon as he opened his mouth it all feel away, but when the good lucking Doctor comes back and apologies to her and gives her a name of a friend to help her with her breast reduction they start becoming more than friends.
I loved this story, this is the second book I have read in this series and this does not disappoint. At first I thought that Frank was a bit of an arse but as you get to see the interaction with Barbara through the story you get to know his story and start to warm to the character. As a buxom woman as well I instantly bonded with the character of Barbara and the issues she faced on a daily basis but her sassy, strong character was a dream to read.
The story although short was well written and follow beautifully toward the happily ever after that happened. I would recommend this book and can’t wait to read more in the series.

Lily ends up in an auction, Rhy’s mom bids on her to be his date. He stands her up, tada,……let the adventure begin. I found this story to be funny, humorous and a bit humble. Wonderful writing to make them both human. I felt the angst and what they both felt deep in my heart. These two are meant for each other. The characters are well written. I found the story to be such that I was instantly pulled in because Rhy’s mom is a blackmailer that isn’t letting Lily off the hook and I want to know why… If you want to enjoy a great romantic suspense, check this one out.

I loved the action in this one. I found the characters entertaining. Delaney and Baz kept me glued to the story but Teague and Ella were quite fun side story also. I found the story to be well-written. Isn’t Morganna quite the troublesome one? She stirs up trouble all around. A story that will pull you right in and you won’t want to leave until it’s over. Following the adventures of Delaney and Baz was an entertaining adventure for me. If you like paranormal romantic suspense, you should try this series. It’s really good.

Saucy and sexy, this story of revenge is a winner. Heath stole Nadine’s money. To get even, she sleeps with his trainer. A quick read that will entertain you and make you laugh, the antics to get back at Heath will have you laughing. One scene involves a muffin pan and I about spit my coffee all over my Kindle when I read it. The characters are a hoot. I love the writing. It’s hilarious and I swear, the author has been in my head reading my revenge plots. It’s so fun to come up with them. Even better to read revenge fiction, I loved this story. If you are looking a spicy, romantic, quick read, this would be it. Check it out.
I found this story very intriguing: The story of Olga and her sisters had me right from the start. A very interesting tale of historical fiction. I found the characters well-written. Even being from a different time period, I found the girls relatable. The writing was such that it drew you in and kept you engaged Fans of historical fiction will love this story.

This has been my favorite series so far. Chase Care has been done with such truth and reality that you just can’t put it down. In this, book 3, we read about Pete Walker and Rowena Anderson. These two have history from their Army days in Afghanistan. Some big secrets will finally come out during this story. The romance will get you. I felt some big emotions just as much as all the characters did. The story has action, lots of drama and it’s full of medical stuff. It’s my favorite book version of New Amsterdam. I devoured every little bit. Nakoma to Mike to Noah to Jacob to sleazebags like Silas. You will be sucked in right from the start. This is written to be engaging, intriguing and downright fantastic. It’s one of the best books you’ll read this year, if you love medica romantic suspense. You can read it standalone. I’m gonna tell you, go read the first two. I will be counting down the days until book 4!! Comes out.

This super cute debut novel by KL Small was the perfect book for middle grade fantasy lovers. It was entertaining and well-written, which makes it excellent for capturing the attention of younger readers. There was also a lot of character development for the MC, Zarina, who was the selfish princess and the 13th child of the king and queen. When she and her aunt go to a dressmaker in the middle of the woods and she makes a deal for a magic dress, the adventure begins. I definitely think this is a book that will bring pleasure to it’s intended target age group.

However, I can’t seem to evade my worry of my biological clock, and my fear that time is running out. I’ve always wanted to be a mother, and with each passing day, there is a greater chance that might be a dream of mine that will never come true.
And if the clock isn’t loud enough— my controlling and overly judgmental mom is. Her snide comments never go unsaid and her numerous failed attempts at setting me up with any new bachelors in town are enough to spur small town gossip for months at a time. Never mind the fact that she tried to set me up with Old Man Bucky down the street from her— the frail but sweet widow who walks with a cane and has grandchildren my age.
But this isn’t about my mom or her obsessive need to see me settle down and pop out the grand babies she so desperately wants. This is about the emptiness that has lingered inside of me for so long that I worry I will never fill it.
I have a lot to be thankful for in my life. I’m in good health. I run a successful cafe that I inherited from my grandparents and an incredibly handsome best friend who is willing to help make my dream of becoming a mother come true.
It may not be the most conventional way to start a family, but there is no one that I trust more. Besides, we agreed that it would only happen once. Regardless of the outcome, we walk away with our friendship intact. I know this is crossing the line of friendship, but this is my one shot. It’s one night.
Samantha lives in the southwest with her husband and two small children after abandoning her childhood dream of living in a cabin in Colorado when she found that she couldn’t afford to live there and was deathly allergic to the woods.
When she’s not writing she’s usually spouting off sarcastic remarks while drinking wine out of a coffee mug to look like a functional adult while chasing down her toddlers. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching reruns of Friends, and the 24/7 flow of coffee that can be found in her veins. Be sure to follow her on social media for updates on what she’s working on.

Baz Cormac never intended to be a rogue, but fate had other ideas.
Being forced to pledge loyalty to the evil Morrigan is its own kind of hell. So when Baz discovers the lie she’s used to keep him and his band of rogues under her power, he concocts a plan to force the goddess’s hand, which drops him in the center of a cosmic tug-o-war. No matter which way he leans, someone is going to lose—and it looks like that someone may be Baz.
A talisman fights her fate…and her fatal attraction.
Delaney Ferrell has spent her life trying to live down her uncle’s choice to turn rogue. As a warrior-talisman hybrid, she’s done her best to serve the warrior community as a protector. But a cryptic letter sends her to an abandoned home where she encounters a lone rogue with fighting skills no rogue should possess. Instead of killing her, he kidnaps her and takes her to his lair. He presents a terrible danger to the community, one she must neutralize.
So why does he have to be so damn charming?
Discovering Delaney is his fated mate throws all of Baz’s plans into chaos. And when the goddesses come calling, Baz has to choose between a rogue’s freedom and a talisman’s love.
Will they have a chance at love, or will they be torn apart?
Like the tagline of her first novel, Tam DeRudder Jackson’s personal motto is “love is worth the risk.” Readers and reviewers have praised her stories for her swoon-worthy characters, movie-quality world building, and strong writing. Though she’s a voracious reader of all genres of romance, her favorite genres to write are paranormal and contemporary. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s probably traveling or skiing or dancing at a rock concert.

Rhonda Lee Carver is a bestselling and award winning author of contemporary western and romantic suspense, but she loves to write other genres too. She’s known for writing stories that keep readers laughing, crying, gripping the edge of their seats, and screaming all in one book…like riding a virtual roller coaster. Whether she’s creating sexy cowboys or tough guys, or sassy, independent heroines, readers are sure to find strong, powerful, memorable characters that are relatable.
By day, she taps into her creative, fictional world but at some point she transitions back into reality where she’s a volleyball-stands cheerleader, homework virtuoso (at least she thinks so), amateur nurse to skinned knees, mediocre chef with some awesome microwave skills, pet-guru (all the strays show up at her house), and a Jackie of all trades for her kids who are the loves of her life. Yoga and chocolate keep her sane. Hallmark movies require cuddling up with tissues because she can be emotional. She adds a sprinkle of her own real-life adventures in each story she spins because a little truth never hurt anyone. She wouldn’t give up one thing in her crazy, chaotic, ever-amusing life, except, she might do magic tricks for the bungalow on the beach she’s had her eye on (GOALS).
Writing for Rhonda is like falling in love and finding a new best friend over and over again. Her characters will find a place inside your heart too.

What happens when the limelight isn’t all it was meant to be?
Lily
It’s like the entire world is rushing ahead and I just want to stop the ride, I want to get off.
I need a rest. A break. An easy half-hour with someone who doesn’t have stars in their eyes and money on their mind.
So, I sold a date in a charity auction, and when the recipient doesn’t even bother to turn up, I question whether normal men are worth the effort. Turns out the rock star variety aren’t.
But it irks me. Men don’t stand me up – nobody does. I’m Lily Tyler, goddamnit.
What I know of this man is enough to pique my interest, and I’m not going to take no for an answer now. I’m having this date, one way or another.
Rhys
A setup, with a rockstar, organised by my mother. That’s not what I’m looking for.
Some self-entitled little girl looking for a doe-eyed boy to worship her, I think not.
It’s safe to say, after my marriage crumbled before my eyes, that I’m not interested in opening myself up to any kind of heartbreak again, ever.
But when I find myself backed into a corner, when she’s asking for nothing more than a coffee, can I say no?
Will Lily manage to strong-arm her way into this date? Will Rhys get more than he bargained for if she does?
Braving Lily is a steamy rock star romance. It’s the fifth book in the True Platinum series. Can be read as a standalone

The Bolsheviks are determined to eliminate any remaining holdovers from the tsarist regime, hunting down the last Romanovs and putting them to death. Now living in England, the Romanov sisters remain hidden to protect their identities, even as isolation strains their relationships.
But they can’t distance themselves from the world forever.
Olga learns that a peer of the realm has accused the late Empress Alexandra of betraying Russia and her allies during the Great War. Under the spell of the scheming Grigori Rasputin, Alexandra disclosed military secrets to the enemy. If this rumor becomes a part of the historical record, it will destroy her mother’s reputation and her sisters’ futures.
Disguised as “Olivia,” a wartime nurse turned maid, Olga accepts a position in Lord Hammond’s household. There, she works to discover the truth about her mother. When Olga meets his lordship’s heir—an alluring but enigmatic veteran—her situation grows even more precarious. The more she learns about the tragedies of his past, the more complicated and dangerous their connection, and her own family’s legacy, turns out to be.
An avid history nerd long fascinated with the Romanov sisters, Jennifer Laam currently lives in California with a spoiled tabby cat named Jonesy. When not reading or writing, she enjoys planning cosplay for the next San Diego Comic-Con, experimenting with vegetarian recipes (to mixed results), and obsessing over House Targaryen and Grogu aka Baby Yoda.

Best friend extraordinaire, Nadine Garrison, is back for book two, but she’s got her own problems this time.
Sure, in retrospect, going into business with some guy I’d only been dating for six months sounds impulsive.
Okay, it was impulsive, but it was a good opportunity, and Heath put in as much money as I did. We were equal partners. Until he made an unauthorized withdrawal.
It’s not like he absconded to another country with the money. No, he sunk every dime into a foolproof investment. In my defense, I was vulnerable when we met, and Heath was only supposed to be my rebound guy. I never dreamed I’d have to financially rebound from him.
So now, while he’s busy hawking snake oil, trying to grow his downline, I’m out here just trying to maintain my sanity, stay on top of my game for my sales job, and keep our juice bar afloat.
But there’s always time for vengeance. Heath stole my money; I’ll take his beloved personal trainer. It’s a start.
Wick puts my body through the wringer, in the gym and out, but he’s so not my type. His storm-cloud eyes might see right through me, and his filthy mouth definitely takes my mind off my troubles for a while, but there is not a more arrogant man in the world. Like I said, so not my type. So, why do I keep seeing him?
A broke bitch can still be a bad bitch. And the more time I spend with Wick, the badder I want to be.
Indie Sparks writes heroines with hutzpah and heroes with dirty mouths and the skills to walk the talk. She gives them all the happy endings they deserve, some for now, some forever. Spicy rom-coms are her favorite flavor in fiction. In real life, she favors the bold, wonderful tastes that some silly urban legend calls bitter and insists makes her more prone to becoming a serial unaliver. She wouldn’t hurt anyone, but she would gladly take everyone’s black coffee, red wine, and extra-dark chocolate. Her purse holds more lipsticks than money, and the only thing bulging more than her bookshelves is the men in her books.
Pete Walter has worn many hats in his forty-five-years on the planet: leaping into hostile territory as an Air Force pararescue jumper, physician assistant, and now Clinical Facility Director for Chase Care. Jumping into danger is harder at his age, but when he’s called to help rescue a kidnapped mother and daughter, he doesn’t hesitate.
Dr. Rowena Andersen, a divorced single mother of two, has returned to her family’s ranch in Montana, where she works as an ER doctor at Guardian Hospital. The rural location on the outskirts of an American Indian Reservation allows her to keep her kids and her secrets safe.
When a severe blizzard hits, Pete’s and Rowena’s pasts collide and their fates change. Rowena realizes secrets are not so easy to keep. Pete, older and wiser, is willing to sacrifice. They ride a roller coaster of love, spirituality, and skill—but it will take a miracle to survive.

L.M. Mountford’s goal in life is to be unique, a character who stands out from the crowd that you just can’t help remembering with a bemused chuckle.
A born and bred country boy from the southwest of England, he knew from an early age that he wanted to write and spent most of his time writing story ideas or playing Star Wars on his PlayStation.
Not much has changed over the years, though his stories have grown decidedly dirtier, and he swapped the Star Wars for Call of Duty.
Dubbed the Lord of Lust in 2019 and a firm believer that nothing sells like sex and violence, he loves writing about hard and gritty romantic thrillers, loaded with action men, sassy heroines, and a whole lot of dirty, sexy heat.

The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga is the second book in The Hustlers Trilogy by Rowan Rossler. It follows on from book one- The Cruiser, but this story’s focus is on a different couples’ romance- each book promises to be a standalone, but with interconnected details, elements, and a few recurring characters shared within the trilogy. Chavez was at the top of his game, making an impressive mark on the tennis world when he just up and disappeared off the scene. Flynn is a sought-after motivational speaker and professional coach who works wonders in her clients’ lives, but is weighed down by her own demons. When a chance meeting brings these two together, Chavez is making his comeback and decides he wants Flynn to be his coach and keep him on track— focused and motivated. But soon the sparks are flying, and the ‘professional’ lines become blurred. There is as much ‘action’ off the courts, as there is on…. But both have their own personal demons to deal with, so when you add in a blemished reputation, secrets, emotions, an age gap, and unresolved issues between the two, it really makes for a great read… you won’t want to miss this book as Chavez and Flynn have quite the story to tell. This is a superb sports (tennis) romance, with a reverse age gap, opposites attract, interracial romance, chemistry, sparks, banter, intrigue, unresolved issues, suspense, angst, drama, forced proximity, taking a chance on love, overcoming challenges, and more. The characters were developed superbly, and the story not only had an intriguing plot, but it also sizzled off the pages…. the author definitely managed to weave an unputdownable read. Bring on Book #3!!! Happy reading…

The Challenger was so much more than a sports romance. Was there tennis, yeah. However I feel like this was one of the subplots to the main story. The saying is “you can’t fix what isn’t broken.” Unfortunately the two main characters the author presents in this book are extremely broken. I don’t mean physically but mentally and emotionally. Which could be a trigger for someone looking for a book to read. I’ve read sports romances in the past, and I decided to read this one because of my husband. He’s a tennis lover, I was curious as to how this would differ from the baseball, hockey, and football ones. Well being those are team sports that’s one way. Less of a support system, however I’m glad I read it. It was pretty good. Flynn and Chavez are two people who need to let things go, to move forward. The problem is they are both in therapy because they don’t know how. Their meeting was by chance, but continuing to communicate took effort. Neither one of them likes opening up. Neither one of them is that trusting of anyone. But for some reason they push each other in a way that brings them together. Flynn agrees to be Chavez’s tennis coach to help him rebuild career. What she does is help him discover who he wants to be. Unfortunately at the same time keeping who she is tight lipped. So the question is when does the other shoe drop? Things aren’t perfect but they are getting by, till it all comes crumbling down. Will they survive it? What about Chavez’s tennis career? Well to get those answers, I’d say it’s time to give this book a chance. I enjoy sports romances but this one has some darker undertones that are intriguing. In saying that, what are you waiting for? Enjoy!

Lois Wickstrom does it again! Imagine your typical “Chicken Little” story with a little investigation thrown in. Instead of running around yelling about the sky falling when an acorn lands on his head, Chicken Little decides to do an experiment.
Same old favorite with lots of fun improvements thrown in to help lead curious young minds. A new family favorite!
This was a very cute book. This author writes really nice children’s books. This series about Caspian and his grandfather is full of fun and makes good use of a child’s imagination. I highly recommend this author and this series to anyone with young kids. I think they will enjoy this book and hopefully it will inspire them to continue reading.
