Breach of Trust (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 8)Breach of Trust by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breach of Trust is the eighth book in The Madeline Dawkins series. This can be read as a standalone and enjoyed. I recommend reading the earlier books first to enjoy them fully. Madeline and Mike are back at it with a busy workload. Hit with three cases at the same time, and they tackle all of them. I know this can sound like a lot to handle in one book, but the author takes the storytelling well without leading to a confusing or bogged-down read. I always enjoy the dialogue between Madeline and Mike. One of the cases involves a horrible ex-husband that Madeline relates to all too well. Also, one of the cases involves a senior retirement village with a poison pen writer.
Even though we have the same primary characters in each book, they are still developing and have yet to get stale. Madeline has come a long way since the first book. I look forward to reading more in this series.
