His Forever Muse (Book 2 of The Echo Series)His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great story. Calliope’s decision to run away from Phillipe was the best decision of her life. I am so glad that she gave Brandon another chance. And Curtis, he deserved more of her anger since he was a jerk but it was heartwarming to see Calliope and Curtis back together.

Calliope was never the apple of her mother’s eye. Callie often felt that she was the bane of her mother’s existence. That is how she treated Callie, strict rules, high expectations, constant pressure to be the best and perfect. Callie walked away from her parents, brother and friends to start a new life. It wasn’t what she expected. Callie was deceived by a man she trusted and ended up in an abusive relationship until she had reason enough to leave.

Brandon was Callie’s best friend growing up. Well, her brother’s best friend. Somewhere along the line Brandon fell in love with Callie but never told her. It was too late when she disappeared out of their lives. During a trek of self rediscovery, Brandon reconnects with Callie. Not wanting to let her get away from him this time, he follows her to her new home city of Paris. Once there, Brandon inserts himself into Callie’s life only to discover many of the secrets she has been hiding. Brandon commits to Callie despite her objections and helps her fight her ex.

I wish I could have heard Brandon play and sing. That is the only thing missing from this book, a hidden audio file of his voice. There is drama. There is action. There is a little bit of steam. There is forgiveness. There is healing. There is sooo much love. It is a good read. P.S. I knew it was the sister.
