The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars by C.L. Schneider – Review by Breanne Christian

Magic-Scars (The Crown of Stones, #2)Magic-Scars by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ian Troy was captured and tortured by his enemies. Drugged to keep his magic suppressed, Ian Troy is broken. Even though the Shinree are no longer slaves, they are living in fear and are nowhere near free. Ian is starting to find that he is not who he used to be and strives to find the truth behind his connection to the Crown of Stones. Can Ian help his people not live in fear? Does he ever find the truth, or does he allow his magic and addiction to be his undoing? Find out in Magic Scars.
The second installment is full of loveable and relatable characters as well. The story unfolds with no confusion and is a stronger piece of writing than the first. Readers will go through Ian’s trials and tribulations with him while feeling the feelings he has.
I highly suggest picking up the Crown of Stones series. The stories are riveting and make you want more. I cannot wait to find what happens in the third installment.
