Under My Care (Chase Care Book 3)Under My Care by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pete Walter is part of Chase Security and Care, when he is woken up to a call for a rescue mission he is up at the plane. Walking through the plan he will need to implement as the medical director in order to keep the men and there recuses safe, but when it is revealed he will in the area of Rowena Andersen , the woman who has been a part of his heart from the day they met and time they spent together.

Rowena returned back to her home town to be the local doctor in the hospital, although she is divorced and with two children to support she tries not to remember the time in the army and a particular man who stole her heart and that the regrets eat away at her daily with the secret she has kept for so long, but when a blizzard threatens the hospital and a emergency arrival, can she trust herself when her past arrives in the present and can she hope for a future?

This book is the third in the series and can be read as a stand alone story, although to be really honest who would as this series is brilliant. I loved this story and the way that Pete and Rowena finally found each other after all this time. The chemistry between them is off the page and them getting to rekindle the friendship and love is lovely to read.

The story is fast paced and is full of twist and turns with drama added in for good measure,. The characters are rich and well developed which enhances the story as you read the struggles of both characters. The only downfall I have is there is a lot of medical jargon and although this did not detract from the story it did feel quite heavy in certain parts of the story. I loved the way the author added the myths and legends of the area into the story and this just added an extra layer to the whole mystery of the novel.

I definitely can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.
