My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A dark paranormal book that sucked me in from the beginning. René is hurting after his twin sister is murdered. He can’t seem to process the fact that she’s gone and doesn’t want to stop searching for the killer. He visits crime scenes where other women are found to see if any leads might help find the killer. I can feel the pain and loss René is experiencing since I’ve lost several family members in my lifetime.
Belladonna has been hiding for a long time to keep herself safe. When bodies are left in her woods, she must act to save her home. When she sees René, he intrigues her enough that sh starts showing herself to him in dreams. What does she want to do with René? Will they ever find the killer and keep others safe? That my friends, you will figure out as you read along.
