The Finding will grab you right away, with the emotion, the heartbreak, the hope, and all the twists. I loved this book and once I dove in, I was able to finish in one day, Logan and Victoria truly are two amazing characters that you want to love, hold, protect, and will even cry for. This emotional ride will show just what true love is and how a journey to find what Logan wants and needs truly will leave a mark on anyone reading this. A.M. Porto truly is a gifted author, The world and lives of these characters will leave a mark in your heart. This emotional YA thriller is her debut book and I have a feeling we will see a lot more of her and this series. The emotion, the characters, the writing style truly is amazing and I can not wait to read more In the series! WELL DONE!

Shalom Israel is a wonderfully written children’s book that children of any age will enjoy. It takes on an tour of Israel through the streets from north to south and east to west. We learn the cultures and diversity . The pictures are very bright and vibrant and definitely brings the story to life. I love how its educational and teaches us how different countries different cultures and ways of doing things but we’re all the same. My five year old loved it. I highly recommend reading this book to children of any age I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I love a good thriller book and this was one of them. This author definitely didn’t disappoint! The story was face paced, but very good. You can tell the author thought out the details in the story. This book was a page turner for me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good thriller book.
Wow what an emotional rollercoaster ride this fantastic book turned out to be!! With wonderful characters like Tessa and Simon and such a creative storyline this book is absolutely one you have to read!! Once upon a time is not the norm when it comes to this author. But when it comes to retellings there is no norm. With lots of imagination and magic along with lyrical narrative at times keeps you guessing as to what retelling tale is coming next. The Misery House is the first book in the epic three-book series The House on the Hill by David Kummer. We have a quiet and peaceful small-town setting with small-town mindedness where it can be unwelcoming at times and loving at others. The story is told from several POV’s building the tension and drama fuelled by fears. It is a thought-provoking read. It is the lives and the people in this town and the creepiness that surrounds them all that draws you in. Having said that though sometimes the story didn’t flow easily and is a bit stilted surrounding the vivid picture narrative of the characters. It’s just a House on the Hill. An empty House on the Hill. An eerie house. A place where horrors are brought alive by stories. A place where something maybe lurking in the shadows. I still enjoyed the story that holds promise for future books. It does end on a cliff hanger ready for the next book. If you hate cliffie’s you are out of luck but if you like psychological thrillers, then give it a go.

Smooth Hoperator is the wonderful second book in the Rom Com series Love on Tap by Sylvie Stewart. I thoroughly enjoy reading Sylvie’s fabulous work because I know I am in for some fun, a bit of drama, a little suspense along with fantastic characters. It is non-stop laughter as we journey along with the well-developed, crazy, quirky, and likable characters I think this is my favourite book by Sylvie to data. Sunny’s grandfather Duke is a cantankerous trouble making conspiracy theorist who I just loved. Throw in Carter’s mother, pet skunk and a protective best friend you never know what you are going to get. Smooth Hoperator has a solid plot and a great storyline full of humour, lots of warmth and heart, a little heated chemistry. When opposites attract is when the fun starts. It’s easy to imagine friends and family sitting around enjoying this atmosphere and friends. Make sure you start with the first book in the series Ale’s Fair in Love and War as it sets the tone of what’s to come. I can’t wait to read Millers story.

Her class in Forensic Biology led to Little Red, The Detective, in which Red is studying fingerprint identification, so she can tell that “Grandma” isn’t who she says she is.
Lois has taken so many science classes that she believes science is the solution to almost every problem, including the dilemmas in fairy tales. She has invented what she calls Science Folktales. In each science-based tale, the protagonist achieves a better ending than the original because of learning scientific principles. She has turned some of these tales into plays.

This is my first book by Ms. Berve, so what better way to get a feel for her work than a book with lots of short stories to explore. As you would expect from fairytale retellings, this is woven with magic, the paranormal, curses, a little mythology, imagination, fate & destiny, action, adventure, drama, twists, and emotion. Ms. Berve has cleverly crafted her stories in such a way that they are quite unique from the ‘originals’. There are also some illustrations sprinkled through the book too, that add to the charm of the collection. Mitch thought his life was perfect. Successful career as a tenured professor at a University, a loving wife, a home to call his own until overnight his life was turned upside down. A student died on campus and all fingers pointed to Mitch, his reputation started to decline rapidly. Then he noticed his wife was becoming more and more distant and he had no idea why. His thoughts were running amuck with the what ifs. He thinks that someone is out to get him but who?
Mitch starts drinking heavily and starts to have gaps in his memory. He starts to rethink everything. Maybe he is to blame? He doesn’t remember doing anything but that doesn’t mean he did it, does it?
This book was a wild ride. Confusing but in a good way. I could not put it down. I had 3 theories going on for the ending of the book and I was only kind of right. The ending was a major twist. It was very hard to like Mitch as a character which actually helped with the plot. Throughout the book, you have flashbacks to middle school and it shows how Mitch is the way he is as an adult. He is narcissistic and cold but also logical and sometimes reasonable. My thoughts kept alternating between ‘awww poor Mitch’ to ‘you know what, he deserves it’. The author did an amazing job keeping the book fast paced but still so full of detail and action. You really got a feel for the emotions surrounding the characters.
If you like psychological thrillers, then give this book a read! It’s definitely worth it!
This book was cute. It is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone but some of the main characters are from Book one so I think reading these in order would give the best reading experience possible. This book was cute and a funny romcom and I enjoyed the authors writing style. I am looking forward to more by this author in the future. Happy Reading!

I couldn’t get into a lot of the stories near the beginning and middle of the anthology, but the last story was AMAZING! I also loved the idea of a fairy tale museum, although some of the tales (and it could be reader error, for I don’t know all fairy tales) I had a struggle finding which fairy tale it was a variation of.
Overall, I enjoyed the at-times lyrical prose as well as the varied lengths of the included stories. I also appreciated how magic was a part of every story, given that was the title.

I had ZERO IDEA that this book would be THIS GOOD! I will NOT spoil it for you at all, that would ruin it! This book was so figuratively written, I felt like I was right there with all the characters in the book. The return to the past and back to the future in this book just keep you guessing minute by minute, and you will want so much more from this extremely talented author once you have completed the book. RUN AND GRAB IT NOW! I love psychological thrillers so much that podcasts and documentaries about true thrillers have filled out my extra time! Thank you tons to the author! This was a spectacular read!
Serafina is the middle child and oldest daughter of a man in the Italian mafia. Salvatore is the bastard son of another man in the mafia. Set on revenge to avenge his mother being turned away while pregnant, Salvatore sets his mind to getting Serafina from an early age. When he finally gets her though, his hardened heart can’t help but have feelings for her. Opinion I love a good mafia story and this book is the first in a series of them. I believe that Roberts did a stand up job creating a world in which the mafia could in fact exist. The revenge plot is certainly something I would expect of a book in the genre. I did have a few minor problems with the story. The way religion was addressed in certain spots irritated me in that it almost was sacrilegious. (I do realize that has more to do with my faith but my faith was brought up in the book.) I also had a problem with Serafina marrying at 16. (Again, I know this has more to do with my morals than the story but it does rub me the wrong way.) Other than my two issues, I though the book was well thought out and it kept me captivated. My two issues will certainly not keep me from reading more in the series, as it looks to be a good series.

I have a few mixed feelings about this book. First of all, it’s geared towards 10-14 years of age. This age group is going to love Lizzie’s story and totally get where she is coming from without any issues. I tried to see it from that perspective, however my 40+ year old mind sees it as an adult. Overall, I enjoyed the story very much but felt like Lizzie’s parents could have done more to guide her along the way. It seems like they were more wrapped up in their own lives to really give Lizzie and her brother the attention they deserved. On another hand, they did have their hands full and maybe just didn’t know how to handle everything coming at them at once. I get the impression that Lizzie’s day was trying to guzzle water from a firehose and it just wasn’t working.
That being said, again, this book was enjoyable and young readers will find humor in Lizzie’s antics. Hopefully they will also be able to learn from her choices and not make the same or similar ones. Learning that all actions have consequences, whether good or bad, is so important in this age group.
I do recommend reading this book, no matter your age! It would make for great discussion and maybe even some cave adventures of your own!

First off, although you don’t need to read the other books in the series first, I highly recommend checking them out because the characters find themselves in this book as well!
This is Heath and Grace’s story. Heath is a famous baseball player and Grace runs an animal shelter. While they come from different worlds, they are not as different as some would believe them to be. These two spend a lot of time trying not to fall in love (and hate each other instead). Even when they make a go at things….it is a constant back and forth of them really being together. When both of them put their hearts on their line, and their true feelings out there, they just might have something amazing!
I really enjoyed these characters. There is more behind the love ’em and leave ’em facade that Heath puts on. And Grace finds her own self worth along the way. I could relate to her because my family is a lot like hers. I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the first two books make appearances. This series is very good and I can’t wait to read the next book when it comes out!!

The Misery House is Book One in The House on the Hill Series. It is a sinister psychological thriller that will grab your attention and keep you reading until the end. The author does a superb job of keeping the reader’s attention throughout the story as the suspense and tension builds. He then takes us on a series of twists and turns that keep you riveted until the final pages.
The story is set in a small town and is told from different points of view of the Woods family. It starts off innocently enough as we are introduced to Cliff who is attending his son, Nate’s baseball game. Then comes a mysterious fire that takes place where two dead bodies are discovered. As strange things begin to occur, the townsfolk have noticed that strangers have arrived in town, which in itself is odd because no outsiders generally choose to live there. Cliff’s daughter Kaia’s best friend had just gotten married when her and her husband mysteriously disappeared. Then there is the creepy old house on the hill that must somehow be involved because of its reputation as being haunted.
This book grabbed my attention and kept me reading until the end. I loved the spine-tingling vibes that gave me goosebumps a few times. The characters were well written, and the small-town setting was done superbly. The townsfolk, being so unwelcoming and weary of strangers was dark, mysterious, and creepy in its own respect. If you were not born there, it would be almost impossible to be accepted, which was weird and odd. Any newcomers were viewed as suspicious, and the townsfolk were standoffish in their behavior towards them. Throw in a haunted house and I was seriously hooked! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!

Smooth Hoperator is Book Two in the Love on Tap series. It is a contemporary romance that focuses on the story of Sunny and Carter, who are complete opposites but somehow find their way to one another. Sunny is a librarian who is all sunshine and lollipops with a wardrobe as colorful as her personality. She loves helping people and has a heart of gold. Carter has recently moved back to town after leaving his political career behind under suspicious circumstances. He is a bit broody but very protective of his loved ones. Sunny and Carter meet at the library that he frequents, and he catches Sunny’s eye, but Carter thinks she is too colorful and not his type. That is, until he spends a bit of time with her, and she manages to make an impression on him that leaves him wanting more of her in his life. As the two spend time together the chemistry between them grows.
This was a beautifully crafted opposites attract romance story with wonderful characters. Sunny was like a little ray of sunshine that did what she could to help those she loved. Although on the surface Carter appeared to be broody and detached, he too had a heart of gold. On the surface they appeared to be complete opposites but were well suited for one another. I loved the character of Sunny’s grandfather and the situations he got himself into, like the love column in the newspaper that he took over writing responses for. The letters and responses had me chuckling out loud and I could not stop laughing out loud whenever I read one. I highly recommend this book!

Wow! This book is so much but written so well you can’t tell that there is so much. Jammed pack full of mystery, suspense, drama, revenge, obsession, and so so much. This story was great. It’ll keep you entertained from start to finish. Definitely recommend it!
This is a dark, twisty kind of book that sucks you in and doesn’t spit you out until the very end. Its the kind that sometimes you set down to process what you have just read and to catch you breath, but you don’t stop for long because you definitely need to find out how the book ends. How there will be resolution, if there will be some semblence of a happy ending. This is the kind of book with the most amazing characters, those who have been through things, that are clearly tormented who that author has clearly poured their heart and soul into. This is the kind of book that I know that I gravitate to when I am in a dark and twisty mood. The kind where I don’t feel quite right and I want to know that I am not alone in how I feel. Vic and Lo are absolutely amazing characters who I can tell that the author put so much thought into. Vic has such an amazing story arc and character development. I definitely felt all sorts of different emotions for her throughout this story. This story is told in their dual perspectives and that adds to the emotion of this story. This dual perspective storytelling is done so well that it feels like two of your friends are telling you their version of events of something important that has happened to them. This book has a trigger warning and is suggested for mature readers. I definitely recommend heeding that warning if you need to. However, I also recommend reading this book. It is the kind of book that sticks with you long after you read it. It is definitely so good!

I want more!! I am in great need of knowing what is going on with this terrifying house. The suspense all the way through to the end has me wanting the next book so bad. The family dynamics in this book are so heartwarming and the very serious protectiveness of the mom makes me feel right at home. The unforeseen fire in the local’s shop is more and more disturbing by the time you hit the end of the book. Just who did it? I can’t believe how quickly this book sucked me in. I am looking forward to the next book by Kummer in this trilogy for sure!

I found this to be a wonderfully creative story. Not only do we get a vampire story, but we get various historical periods and even other legends/myths. [Trying not to give anything away – you just have to read it!] I enjoy the complicated situations the author created to initiate meetings between the main characters, as well as the supporting characters. Their stubbornness, sassiness and sibling torment made the story seem natural. I thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs and would recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance novels.

This is the fourth book in the Shadow Chronicles series and focuses on Kimber’s story. I’m so glad we get to see things from Kimber’s perspective as I was always so curious about her and the true extent of what she went through.
Kimber and Fabian are great. Kimber really comes into her own with Fabian’s help and I couldn’t be happier to watch her develop!
As usual I love the author’s way of writing, it flows well and is easy to follow. In addition to this, the descriptive writing allows you to step into the world they inhabit to join Kimber and Fabian in their journey.
I can’t wait for the next book to be released, it’s going to be great!

This is the third in the Shadow Chronicles series and I never want it to end. I just can’t get enough of Tasha and Levi!
I love their chemistry the believability of their actions and thoughts and their character development beginning to end. They face more obstacles in their battle against the hellspawn and I enjoyed being on their journey with them.
As per usual the author’s writing style is great as it flows well and is easy to follow. The descriptive language creates vivid imagery of the surroundings so you’re never far off stepping into the story yourself.

Great continuation from Forbidden Wolf! This is the second in the Shadow Chronicles series and it’s just as good as the first.
Loved being there with Tasha and Levi as they face not only the old obstacles but the new ones. They still have the chemistry I love and the development as they continue to find out secrets and discover more of the enemy.
Again, I enjoyed the style the author uses in writing. It flows well, is easy to follow and is descriptive so I feel like I could step into the world.

This is the first book in the Shadow Chronicles series, and it was great. I was hooked from the beginning.
The characters are well-written and they their development as they are hardened by their experiences is believable. I really love Tasha and Levi together; they have chemistry, they’re sweet and it’s forbidden which makes it even more exciting.
I enjoyed the way the book was written, the writing flows well, things are clear and described well. I could envision clear pictures of the scenery from the author’s words.

This is an author that I have fallen in love with – her writing style, her stories. And this book is the perfect example as to why. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It makes a great addition to the series and I found it light reading and entertaining. This was the perfect kind of book to pass away an afternoon. It has entertaining characters that you really become engaged with. I especially liked the fact that the heroine is a librarian. I love how every book by this author is completely different. They all seem to have their own voice and that really makes me connect with them even more. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I am already looking forward to the next.
