Mr Lucky by Lee Wood
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Mr Lucky (Trentbridge Tales Book 1) by Lee Wood Is a great crime thriller.
Detective James Sheldon’s ideal life was wrecked in a single split second. He is on the streets begging for change and considering suicide 18 months later. He unexpectedly wins a record-breaking 168 million lottery in a surprising turn of events. But what ought to be a life-altering fantasy turns into a terrifying nightmare.James is suddenly thrown into a deadly game where he must face drug traffickers, criminal lords who want to kill him, and the inner demons who keep him awake at night.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down. As the story progressed, it made me glad I got the second one to get started on it right away.
