Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.I can’t wait to read more from this series.

A Love Restrained by Becky Flade is a great romance book
Kylee Parker, a police officer in Philadelphia, is committed to guarding and helping. She interprets the work in terms of absolutes such as good and evil, black and white, and right and wrong. That is, until she pursues a drug dealer down a dark alley and discovers that the terrible kid she had a heartbreaking crush on throughout her adolescence has evolved into a more gorgeous and dangerous man.Jayson Donovan is aware that Kylee Parker is better than he deserves. He’s firmly on Kylee’s moral wrong side as the right-hand guy of a local drug-pusher gangster. But despite knowing better, he can’t resist but grab for her repeatedly.

I couldn’t put the book down. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read more from this series.

4.5 stars Themes OF Kismet: A Multicultural Meet Cute Romance was a delightful read. I have not read anything from A. Akinosho before and I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me a bit of the movie Serendipity. They say third time’s a charm but, in this case, “fourth time’s a charm” in this little gem of a story. Our characters meet several times throughout their lives, but it is the fourth time that they won’t let anything stand in their way. Kismet has a lot to answer for in this tale. Kismet is a finical and persistent creature and not to be trifled with when it comes to love. Unfortunately, Noah and Ebun’s journey is not sunshine and roses. This lovely romance story is a twisty road to love. Being from different cultures plays a lot in the story but it makes for a sweet tale. The characters are well developed and A. Akinosho writing style make this a charming tale. It has all the feels and is filled with drama, angst, betrayal, lies, secrets, frustrations, hopes, dreams and humour but let’s not forget the danger that is lurking just around the corner. If you like a sweet romance tale, then Themes OF Kismet is for you.

The Mating Haze was good. It’s the second book I’ve read in this shifter romance series. The author brings you into a new world. If you like shifter novels this series should be a go to. Yes it’s a series however they could be read as standalone novels as well. Trigger and his step-father have made it to Wyoming with every intention to help a lion-shifter community in need. But are they really helping? Trigger is feeling fulfilled but his world soon gets turned upside down. Not only has he received his mating call, but some things have been said that have caused him to open his eyes. He started to open his eyes to who his stepfather is and what he’s been doing. He enjoys helping but for a good cause and he has every intention of helping Laramie get her boutique up and running. Laramie can’t say no to helping out her family, which has put her dreams of opening a boutique on hold. Though she’s consistently planning what she’s going to do with the store and space. That is till the mating call hits her, she’s ready and willing to meet her mate. Little did she realize he would be right under her nose. Or that he wanted to help make her dream a reality. She has such high hopes for what they initially said to her, till she has a sit down with his step dad. Now she’s feeling uneasy. How does she handle that when it comes to Trigger? The author weaves a web that brings certain characters full circle. Also displays the growth between the two main characters that you want in a good book. You should check it out.
I am absolutely blown away by this book!! I have enjoyed every book I’ve read from this author, but this one was the most captivating yet. The flow of the story is flawlessly magnificent with a special spin that is so refreshing. There is drama, action, and a rollercoaster of emotions that will pull you in from the very beginning. I was immediately invested in each character and couldn’t read fast enough to find out what happened. If you love romantic fantasy books with twists and turns as well as plenty of action, this is a must read for you!

By going with him, her life changes for the worse for the next few years until she reaches out to Ross! Hadley is literally being tortured physically and sexually. Ross of course chooses to rescue her and be the hero. It was never a doubt. He always had feelings for her but she was much too young for him and aside from that, she was his brothers girl. Now, Nothing will stand in his way carrying out the request she writes in her letter accept there’s a tiny chance. Not only is he coming for Lacey but, he’s not leaving without Hadley. I really don’t understand how someone can go from that type of abuse to playing in that daddy dom / middle / little play. Just a bit strange. All In all I thought the book was pretty good.

Lies That Bind is the 6th book in the thrilling Logan McKenna Series. This one finds Logan in Oregon working on the renovation of her and Ben’s newly purchased vacation home. Once again, Logan is thrown into the midst of a homicide investigation. This book is very aptly named as there are so many lies told throughout the book (from the flashbacks of the early 1930s, the flashbacks of the 1970s, along with the present day) that have a lasting effect on those directly and indirectly involved. Reading this, I had many “a-ha” moments as things fell into place in my mind. It was a very exciting read. Valerie Davisson has a wonderful way of writing that allows the reader to become immersed in the story and invested in the characters. The characters are truly unique and diverse; Lies That Bind includes rumrunners, socialites, Southern belles, and a New York City lawyer. Another great book by Valerie Davisson!

My girls and I loved this Porter and Midge book! My toddlers are 4 and 3 and absolutely LOVE animals, but are still learning how to respect their spaces and how to approach strange dogs. We’ve been working with them, and this book was a great visual reminder for them. Some of it was a little above their ages, but overall was still important information for them to learn in a fun way.
Would definitely recommend if you have pets or if your littles have a love for animals and just not quite sure how to show it in a gentle way!

Alice, accustomed to being the town’s black sheep, decides to take control of her love life when the town’s meddling goes a step too far. Her solution? I will not give anything away. You need to read the story and drink it all in. I felt connected to Hope from the very start. She has a vision for her life and isn’t going to settle for anything less than wonderful. Adam’s story is relatable and yet heartbreaking. He is reluctant to open up again with what happened the last time he did. To open your heart after such a monumental loss is difficult and scary. But it seems like their paths just keep crossing and have been for months, since their first chance encounter At what point do you just cave in and let fate take over, just accepting that maybe this person is put in your life for a reason?
Grab your tissues and block out some time because once you start you will be hooked on this book.

This was such a fun romantic fantasy. There’s love, hatred, kidnapping, suspense, magic, and so much more! Cahki was kidnapped from her country and brought to be a concubine to the emperor. Along the way, Sung-jin rescues her and convinces her the safest path is for them to marry. Cahki is a fiercely independent woman who absolutely hates being backed into the corner with no real options. Sung-jin’s father is wickedly evil and doles out horrible punishments even to his son. Will Sung-jin and Cahki be able to overthrow the emperor safely with their lives intact? You definitely want to read to find out. The author includes a warning in the beginning; absolutely pay attention to that. There is language, physical abuse, and some explicit sexual scenes. I would only recommend it for a mature audience, but I enjoyed it!

This is book 7 in the Grimm Wolves MC series. And even though the books focus on different member of the MC I do advise reading them in order so you can appreciate the full story of the members, who they are, their place in the MC and what they stand for. This story was amazing. As always it is a fast paced read where to broken and tortured souls find each other and start to make steps towards healing with the help of the brothers in the MC.
This story focuses on Frank (Dingo) and Celee.
Frank has had an abusive upbringing and since finding and becoming a prospect for the Grimm Wolves MC his life has now become all about proving his worth to earn his patch. He has seen his brothers finding love and settling down but because of the mental abuse he suffered he doesn’t believe that is on the cards for him. Until he meets Celee.
Celee has come from a very abusive family where her father treated her as property to be sold to the highest bidder. However with her father dead she is now alone and trying to find her way when she meets Dingo. The connection between them is instant but they both have a lot to work through from their past and it gets even more complicated when it turns out their is a bounty on Celee’s head. Now with the help of his brothers and some friends from the Handmaiden Devil’s MC (another great series to read) they now need to figure out a way to protect her and get rid of the threat if she and Dingo are every going to have a chance to be together.
This book is filled with emotion, danger, family, friendships, and a protectiveness that the club gives to all its members. This author never fails to amaze me with the story telling as each one is unique and captivating. One thing I do love is that the female characters are all strong women who have their own minds and who aren’t afraid to speak them. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next and which member of the MC we are going to be made to fall in love with.

But, when Maeve finds herself as the target, could it be too late?
I enjoyed this story. There are a couple of storylines intertwined throughout the book. There is Maeve’s determination to find out who killed the beloved Chief. The unwavering love between Maeve and Will as they try to chase Will’s dream and work on having a family of their own. And, finally, the importance of family support through all of life’s ups and downs. I loved Maeve’s character. She was smart and witty, but I could also feel her heartbreak and frustration. The author seamlessly wove these storylines together so they progressed concurrently. Overall, a great story that I didn’t put down until the last page!

I love how this final book in the original Tuscon chapter wraps things up with this generation as well lay the path for the second generation of Satan’s Devils Tuscon chapter.
Truck isn’t one of the original members but became a fixture pretty early on in the series. He gets through being a prospect only to go fight a wild fire. Things go from amazing to garbage in the blink of an eye.
Ally is such a strong woman. She did what she had to do to survive, fate stepped in and changed her life for the better.
I find myself getting so lost in the story that the narrators are definitely the story.
If you’re a fan of the Devil’s you will know everyone and their stories. If you’re interested in the Devil’s I cannot not stress enough to start with Book 1.

Ever since I finished the first book in this series, I’ve been anxiously waiting for this one. It did not disappoint. Side note: You really need to read the first book before this one to have the complete backstory. The characters are amazing and well-written with a lot of depth. The world building is stellar. There’s humor, suspense, danger, drama… everything you’d want to keep you turning the pages. Definitely a must read!
This is not my first audio book by this author but it is one of my favorites. I enjoyed listening to this book. I enjoyed the narrator and their tone of voice. I enjoyed how they changed tones for characters which made them engaging. The characters are unique and creative. This is a shorter story that certainly packs a punch with adventure and had me coming back for more. This is an easy and entertaining story to listen to. I enjoyed this audiobook and I highly recommend it.

Holly Claus lives in the North Pole and is the daughter of the famous Santa Claus and she is in charge of collecting the Cheer which powers her home, but she has never been as successful as her father and has to spend a lot more time away from home collecting it, be it at festivals, concerts, or theme parks and she is always trying to find new sources. Ash Hayes is a young man with a twinkle in his eye, he lives in Emerald Hollow and owns a business there, but he also helps the rest of the town out when he needs to and this keeps him very busy, but he loves it and thrives in the atmosphere the towns hard work has created.
When Holly starts out her new Cheer cycle, she decides to do something a little bit different, she finds a flyer about a fall festival in a small town and realises that it isn’t something she has tried yet and that it would be a great opportunity to test a theory she has about small towns and how much Cheer they have, so she hops in her faithful sleigh and heads to Emerald Hollow, but as soon as she enters the nearest place, her Cheer watch goes mad and she cannot understand why, especially when she meets the owner, but she is determined to find out why. Ash is busy preparing for the fall festival the town holds every year, but this year he has also decided to try and boost the Christmas faire that they have, he even enters them into a Hallmark contest, something which will help the town bring in the tourism it so desperately needs, so when a beautiful woman orders one of his famous drinks in his restaurant, he cannot help but be drawn to her and he cannot understand why, but he decides to get to know her a bit first.
As the festival approaches, Holly and Ash spend time together and cannot deny that there is an attraction there, but Holly cannot afford to be distracted and when she mentions that she is leaving after the festival, Ash realises that that isn’t something he wants, he wants someone who stays, however, when she agrees to come back for the Christmas faire, he is glad. Things are not as they seem though and when Holly returns home with her bumper load of Cheer, things start to change for her, but is this change a good or a bad thing and where does Emerald Hollow and Ash fit into it all? Will Holly be able to figure out why her Cheer meter is reacting how it is before Christmas comes around and everything that comes with it, or will everything fall apart and slip between her fingertips? This is a new take on a old festive tale where small towns, Cheer and romance mix to create a magical story that everyone can enjoy.

Fractured Hearts is the seventh sublime book in the Grimm Wolves MC series by D.M Earl. Gah! Ms. Earl has once again hit this one out of the park. There is no picking favourites with her books, because every time I think I have found my favourite, she ups the ante with the next book and blows me away. Each one slightly eclipses the previous, and I’m not sure how she keeps doing that- but she does- and that makes me one very happy little reader! She doesn’t know it, but she’s one of my ‘ride or die’ authors- and I’d happily read the telephone book if she wrote it- or her shopping list for that matter. As expected from Ms. Earl, she has lovingly crafted two heart-achingly beautiful, damaged souls who have had so much to deal with- but fate finally relents and reveals their missing ‘part’. This is an emotional, angsty, heartachingly good, dark romantic suspense story about the healing power of love, finding your missing part, and finding where you belong. Add in a cute but mischievous furry companion, danger, twists, dramatic developments, tension, sizzling chemistry, violence, action, intrigue, forced proximity, and a touch of the paranormal- and this story really takes off. The intensity level was dialled to high- which kept me on the edge of my seat, flipping the pages to keep up with all the developments. Be warned though, there are some taboo, uncomfortable, and possible triggering subject-matters contained in the story- so please take that into consideration and read the warnings before diving in. I also suggest having tissues and wine close at hand, you’re going to need them. There are some interesting, interconnected details that Ms. Earl has cleverly woven through her story, and the series. We get several perspectives throughout the book, which adds an extra element of interest to the storyline- as well as painting a bigger picture. We ‘catch up’ with characters we’ve come to know and love from the previous books/series, as well, which makes reading these books so great. If you love intriguing MC romance with an original spin- emotion, drama, brotherhood, camaraderie, family bonds, intensity, banter, and gripping developments- then this is definitely the story/series/author for you. This cozy mystery is set in the beautiful New England setting. The characters are well thought out and add to the complexity of the mystery. I enjoyed the humor and relatable dialogue. Trying to guess who the murder was kept the pages turning to the end!

This book was really good. It is the first book of the series and I cannot wait to read the next one. Jasmine is a no rules breaker kind of girl but when this new mysterious guy comes she starts thinking of things and unimaginable which is the rules. The alpha on the other hand had his chance at his mate, but he rejected who the moon goddess gave him. Are these two destined to be together?

Chasing Cheer was a cute seasonal read. It was easy to read but I felt like it was missing the hook to really bring me in! I just wanted a little more. The characters were wonderful and it was definitely a nice time of year read.

There’s a lot going on in this story. Murder, mystery, chemistry and so much more. The Earl, Her Reluctant Guardian was pretty decent. It started off slow and all over the place to me, but as it progressed things started to come together. Told from the point of view of the two main characters gave the story a little more. I enjoyed how the author made it work wonderfully. Vanessa returns home to find out there’s a lot more people in her house than expected. With an overbearing man who insists on her making her debut this coming season. She had no intentions of finding a husband and she’s struggling with control to take her home back. Everyone keeps making her feel insignificant, especially Lord Danville. At the same time despite the constant disputes, he makes her feel something she’s not familiar with. What will happen? Will she win her argument? Will they address the chemistry? Lord Danville just doesn’t have enough hours in the day to address everything on his plate. An unknown psycho on the loose, a ward he needs to guide in the right direction, as well as trying to bring a new guy into the loop of what he does in the war room. However despite his job Vanessa’s care is starting to become more than he can handle. At the same time is that really the problem? He has feelings for her, and feels if he can find her a good husband he can let it go. His job is starting to cross over into territory he didn’t expect. He needs to keep his family and his ward safe. Will he succeed? Will they find this unknown psycho? Will he give Vanessa some breathing room or is her life in danger because of him? All those questions and so many more will come to mind and be answered as you navigate this story. Historical fiction isn’t typically my thing, doesn’t mean I don’t like it. This book I enjoyed! I think you should enjoy it too!!
