Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia Series) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Megan Conley

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia Book 1)Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story has it all…a driven plot line, character development, and spice. Alexander really does hook you from the first pages and keeps you wanting more through the end (and honestly beyond). The setting of the story is a fun change from your typically “office” romances and I really enjoyed the character development of Cy/Marcus…it’s really what you want to see in your MMC (especially with this plot line). And we can’t leave out Jolie’s development either. I can totally relate to her being a single, working mother who is nervous about letting someone “in.” I loved seeing Jolie and Cy/Marcus “interact” together…the spicy scenes are very well done and they aren’t overdone or gratuitous. I really enjoyed the first installment in the Spicetopia series and can’t wait for the next book to come out.
