I have been hooked on this series since I first started it and couldn’t wait to dive into this book. Then I read the prologe and had to step away for a few days. I was not expecting that at all.
Once I got my feelings in check I opened the book and I’m so glad I did. I instantly fell in love with Bijou and her daughter Claire as well as the relationship they have with one another. Definitely one I have wished I could have with my Mom and with my daughters. My girls and I are close but nothing like Bijou and Claire.
This is about healing and embracing a second chance at love and a normal life. I’m so glad they were each able to find the person to help make the holes in their hearts smaller, but never completely. It’s hard to lose someone you love and the pain grief don’t ever truly go away.
I really hope there will be more in this series. I will be waiting impatiently hoping that someone in this group isn’t done with their story and starts talking to Ms. May.

Wonderful faith based children’s story. Andrew is a little boy who loves many adventures. As he gets a bit older, having a brave sword, helmet and all the things to be a warrior is meant to be. Being brave, big and strong is all Andrew holds dear. When not feeling so brave, Andrew learns that it will be ok and he is not alone…..
The illustrations are colorful and very engaging and the overall story is just lovely. I believe this is a great book for the littles and also the young at heart. This story truly made my heart smile.
This was another cute installment of the Buckeye Falls series! I enjoyed the characters and the community feel of this series. This story had dually likable characters in Mallory and Beckett. I appreciate that as sometimes it is nice to take a breather from angsty males. I hope for another in this series.

I have read a few books from this author’s other books and I quite enjoy the worlds that are built. The author is able to bring all the characters to life. I like the fantasy setting for this and the complexity. I like how the narrator voices the characters and how much it adds to the richness of the story. I love the conflict in the book and how it builds for the main character. I just love reading authors new series. I am quite happy to read all supernatural and fantasy. This book was a great fit for that. I like the fantasy setting for this and the complexity. I like how the author has written the characters and how quite down to earth they are given the plot. Have you ever been up and decided you would read one chapter of your new book so that you can get sleepy and fall asleep a little faster. This is not the book to do that with. I started reading it thinking I could put it down after one chapter, no. I was fifty percent of the way through reading the book when I fell asleep. I woke up with my kindle on my chest where I finally dropped it when I fell asleep. Then every chance I had to read I would pick it up and keep going.
Harper is talking to a Gallery owner about showing her work when her brother keeps calling her, interrupting her meeting she finally picks up the phone. She hears her brother scream on the other end and then checks her email to see if he has sent her anything there to find out that yes he had sent her a video. Will’s best friend and army buddy, Caleb, meets up with Harper to help her try and find her brother.
If you want a really good book I suggest you check this one out. I am so glad that I did.

I would say that you could read this as a stand alone but highly recommend you read book 1 prior to this one.

The Secret Aftermath is the highly anticipated second instalment in The Discoveries of Julia Xero series by Gloria Oliver. I admit I squealed when I saw this book had hit my Kindle as I absolutely adored the first book, and have been anticipating what the second book might hold ever since finishing Book #1. I was part way through a fantastic Boxed set when this book arrived, and I didn’t hesitate to put the box set aside so I could dive into this story immediately. I held my breath as I set off, as I really did have high hopes that this would be as good as the first instalment. Well, I am here to admit that I really should never have doubted Ms. Oliver, as this was every bit as good as the first, if not better. If you haven’t read the first book yet, I highly recommend that you do, as this book picks up right where the first book left off. So, knowing what happens in the first book will ensure there is no confusion as to what has happened, and what ensues from there. Plus, the first book provides character introductions, story foundations, and other important information- all of which will enhance your reading experience and enjoyment of this book/series. Forever To Fall by Libby Kay is like a roller coaster of emotions. It follows the storyline of two people who have been best friends ever since they were children. Beckett is in love with Mallory. It is a cheesy romance where one loves the other but the other is focused on something else. I enjoyed reading the book from the prologue to the end. There is 3 books in this boxset and i enjoyed all of them. I have to say that the stories just keep getting better and better and the last book was definitely my favorite . I’ve read the beginning half of the series and was so hooked and determined to see what happens next. Bella has recently left her husband and has been on a quest of self discovery. She is an avid romance novel reader and with the help of her friends, starts to explore a side of herself she didn’t know existed. The series is split into 13 novellas so each one is short but very funny, witty, steamy as Bella gets to explore this sexual side of herself through different dating sites. Some of these men become good companions, those who help her question what her true desires are, and mostly she explores with the support of her friends along the way. Reading her thoughts along her self discovery journey is so relatable and makes you feel as though you are living through her experiences.

This is the second book of the London Detective Agency series. It focuses on James, who investigates a stalker case for the local bakery owner, Tessa. This book continues along with the first book in the series and contains all of our favorite characters and many new ones. I loved how James finally finds someone to keep him from being such a huge workaholic in the office and gets him to get out a little more from his daily habits of spending way too much time at work. What a great mystery that has you second-guessing who the stalker may be. It casts a light of suspicion at so many of your favorite characters but beware not all are as good as they seem. This book has a lot of exciting scenes in it and will make you anxious to read it from cover to cover, so grab a snack and get ready for a fun read. Matthew was a part of the main family of vampires in the last book, but after the death of his soulmate he retreats from those he is closest with and lives in the mountains by himself. He was struggling with his fire element and can only use it when he already has a fire going. He has become friends with some mortals, the Medici brothers, and has started working for them. He is able to hide that he is a vampire and helps when there is trouble in Rome. Valentino is trying to take control of more cities and Matthew becomes a protector. He saves a new vampire, Leo, and sends him to live with a vampire acquaintance. Matthew needs to keep using his powers and pulling from his former group for power to keep him safe. He starts to realize that he is not alone and he does have humans and vampires in the Resistance who are wanting to help him, he just needs to start trusting others. I liked that this book was similar in the series but focused on a new character.

What a cute story. I love that the children were involved in the trip to the vet. I also loved how Mom told the children that the cats go to the vet just as we go to the doctor. So many things were discussed and explained to the children So they felt like part of the visit. This is a must have if you have pets. It keeps the children informed, as well as comfortable with Dr.s. This author did a fantastic job with this story. It was fast paced and easy to follow.

This is such a sweet and romantic story that will make you believe in lifetime love. Mallory has loved Beckett for as long as she can remember. When Evan gets engaged, Mallory and Beckett find themselves thrown together for wedding festivities. The feelings of the past still remain, but the two decide to date in secret because they don’t think Evan will approve. However, like in any small town, nothing stays a secret forever. Will these two, who loved each other when they were young, be able to make their forever dreams come true?
This is a cute story that I devoured in one sitting. While it is the 5th book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the small town atmosphere and the belief that you can find your true love before you really know what love is. I have enjoyed the other books in this series and this one was just as good.

This review is from book 1 and I don’t want to spoil this series. Therefore This is all you get. No Spoilers. Ian Troy is a Shinree, his race is what sets him apart from other races. He also comes with an addiction for magic. Only problem is his magic can kill everything and everybody in his path. Being of the Shinree race he must serve his master, even if that means going into battle. Having blood on his hand and the death of many. He decides to escape, but as far as he runs, everything catches up with him. I enjoyed this story, at times I felt as though I was in a race. This author has an eye for detail. The characters fit their description given by the author. Having read many books in this genre, I found this series just as entertaining and complete. This series makes for a great road trip listening. I recommend reading or listening to this series as it will not disappoint.

Forbiddenly Yours is Book 2 in the Titans of Chicago and I definitely was eagerly anticipating my Titans fix again….I love how Anise invites me into a world of powerful alpha men, sizzle and spark, passion but also secrets and danger. There is so much to not only this story but this series, I definitely recommend reading this series in order as you get to know characters that are woven in each story.
What possibly can happen when enjoying holiday time off at a beautiful island to relax and enjoy…but finding the person that totally draws you in to depths that were unimaginable. The connection that Callum and Nicole have after a chance encounter is that….instant spark….believing in just in that moment that afterwards going back to their real lives at home, never to see each other again. Be careful what you wish for….when another chance encounter happens and feelings become real….just hold on for a roller coaster of an emotional ride….especially when someone wants to interfere with everything that Callum has worked for….
This story is fantastic and I am looking forward to the next Titans story.

I grabbed this book as soon as I came across it even though I had never read anything by this author before. I absolutely love a good MC book though, so I decided to give it a chance. I am glad I dove into it immediately as I felt the author did an amazing job crafting a truly engaging storyline. Before I knew it, I had finished the book and was eager for more! I found myself completely invested in the characters Reaper, Avi, and Raven. Each of them brought something a little different to the story but everything meshed together incredibly well. There were quite a number of twists and turns in this emotional rollercoaster which had me on the edge of my seat, nose to the page. I am extremely excited to see what else this author has in store for us. If you enjoy MC romances, do yourself a favor and pick this one up!

Shadowed Storm: A Shadow Defense Security Thriller Book 4 (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott. This is the 4th book in the Shadow Defense Security Thriller Series and its just as good if not better than the previous 3. I love this series and while they can probably be read as standalone’s I highly recommend reading them in order to pick up on all the hidden gems you would miss reading them as singles. Its the continuing story of Alexis who finds out her former research professor is trying to release a strain of algae that would wipe out the world thru our water. When the bad guys find out Alexis is trying to stop him they are trying to stop Alexis and they will do it anyway they can. Which means Alexis is in serious danger. Seb is the security assigned to Alexis and he has got his work cut out for him. Alexis is more worried about Seb and his friends and wanting to keep them safe that she makes it harder for Seb. There is great chemistry between Seb and Alexis and you won’t want to stop flipping pages to see what happens!

One of my favorite books is The Crown of Stones Magic-Price by C. L. Schneider. This is the story of Ian who is a Shinree, a Magic user whose race has an addiction to using magic. While trying to stop a war Ian used his magic to end a war and by mistake killed lots of fellow soliders and the woman he loved. He is on a mission to save the Rella Empire because he was sworn to do it. As he sets out on the journey he meets lots of people who are not his friends but pretend to be so he has to sort thru them all. He’s also having to deal with a magic addiction and get it under control before it consumes him. This is a great adventure with lots of magic, sorcery, drama, action and intrigue. Once you pick this up you will not want to put it down. Do yourself a favor and start reading it today! The second book is just as good The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars (Book 2) by C. L. Schneider . This is the second book in the Crown of Stones series and while it is not my favorite genre I have gotten sucked into this world and I want to read more and more. This is the continuing story of Ian Troy who has been captured by his old enemy King Draken of Langor. Ian has been sentenced to prison and while there he has been tortured, drugged, robbed of his will, his memories and his magic and made to do unspeakable things. As he awakens from the drug induced stupor he realizes this world is not familiar to him and that world is terrified. King Draken has taken control of the Crown of Stones and tore it up. Ian must find a way to repair the damage he has done. While Ian struggles to come to terms with the new man he is he finds his link to the Crown of Stones and uncovers all kinds of secrets. To save the Crown he must learn to deal with his magical powers without using the destructive appetite it creates. Will Ian succeed? I highly recommend reading the 1st book before. This book continues with the amazing story of magic, betrayal and mystery. Once you pick it up you won’t want to put it down! Do yourself a favor and read this trilogy today!

The Alchemy of Glass by Barbara Barnett. This is the 2nd book in this series and I highly recommend reading the first book beforehand to better understand the story and characters. This is a historical, sci-fi mystery and its very full of information. This is a book you need to pay attention when you are reading so you don’t miss anything. Its the story of Gaelen who discovers a piece of glass in an old friends journal and it takes him on a journey thru different spaces and time periods. Gaelen goes thru all kinds of diseases with weird and different cures that throw Gaelen into all kinds of fits. He is seeing what a bleak future this world is going to endure. When he finds out that Dr. Anne Shaw is the only one that can help him find the cure he is not happy because in the prior book he did not treat her well at all. Will he be able to save the future world from itself? Read this fast paced historical mystery to find out!

In the book Magic Price, Ian Troy feels like he is a danger to everyone around him. He made a wish to stop a war that had been tearing realms apart for years. Even though he lost a lot he now has to face the difficult decision to save the reals one again from both new and old enemies.
For book two, Magic Scars, Ian funds himself in an unknown world. An enemy has taken control and named himself the High King. There is a group that is rebeling and they task Ian with repairing the Crown of Stones in hopes that it will turn things in their favor. During his quest he receives scars that are connected to this crown and he wants to find out the reason. Along the way he uncovers many secrets that have been hiding for many years that could either save everyone or be very detrimental. Finally in book three, Magic Borne, Ian is trying to find out the secrets of his people, the Shinree. He has been using his magic and that is what causes scars to appear on his body. His father wants to rule over all as Emperor, but Ian wants to stop him. In order to do that he must destroy the Crown of Stones. What will it cost? This was overall a good series and I am glad to have come across it.

The Apothecary’s Curse (The Apothecary Series) by Barbara Barnett – Review by Amanda Gray
I really enjoyed this book, it takes you on quite a journey. This book is full of history, wonder, mystery and romance as you span multiple lifetimes of Gailen and Simon. I was a little confused at first keeping up with the characters, but once I got it, I was immersed in the story and had a hard time putting it down. Even if you are not a fan of fantasy there is enough historical fiction to satisfy and the same is true if you are not a fan of history, but enjoy fantasy. The book ends with you wanting more and hopeful that it will be a series.

This children’s book was so much more than just a family taking their cats to the vet! The author really took you along on what felt like a real and informative adventure to the vet’s office. It’s a great, realistic read for children and adults who may have concerns for their pets. It also leaves you with helpful information on caring for our purr friends. I found the illustrations very cute, and I enjoyed looking around at each page.

This MC romance had me hooked throughout. Each book in the series tells the story of one of the members of ‘The Merciless Few’ MC. This storyline focuses on Reaper who is suffering after his relationship, his bike and his life were all wrecked. Having had his life turned upside down he focuses on his club and his MC brother’s. Until Avi and her daughter Raven, ‘tater tot’ comes into his life. When mother and daughter are in danger from a family member Reaper vows to protect them both. The world of the MC came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story. The plot had a mix of drama, emotions, MC life and of course romance, along with twists and turns that all kept me happily turning the pages. I look forward to future books in this series.

Here are my initial reviews of these books and reading them again in this complete book did not change my opinion, in fact it only reinforced it. This is a great series and I highly recommend it.
The initial introduction into the life of Ian Troy was epic. It brought to my mind stories like JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. As I proceeded on the journey with Ian Troy I was left in awe of this author’s imagination. The story captured my attention and I enjoyed the journey. The ending was dramatic and left me wanting more. I look forward to the next installment and cannot wait to continue the journey.
The second installment into the continuing journey of Ian Troy did not disappoint. The epic adventure just keeps getting better. C.L. Schneider built a dynamic world and I really enjoyed immersing myself in it. The trials and triumphs of Ian Troy and his fellow travelers endured were both exhilarating and at times sad. This epic adventure was a great continuation of Ian Troy’s story and C.L. Schneider’s dynamic world. I look forward to the final installment.
The final book in C.L. Schneider’s trilogy was fantastic. As Ian Troy’s journey came to an end, I cried, I was that vested in his story. This heroic novel had many ups and downs, but the journey was so worth it. C.L. Schneider once again reached, for me, the status of J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin. She is that good. This is an author I will follow and I look forward to the next journey.

This is a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. I enjoy her ability to add romance and suspense together in a non-stop story. Her characters are creative and written with a lot of heart. This book is no different. It is a well written story that is both engaging and hard to put down. This is a story that is full of betrayal, deception, love and murder. The characters are connectable and relatable. I enjoyed how they brought the story to life on every page. They have great growth throughout which makes it easy to read and entertaining. They pull you into their world and keep me turning pages fast to see what will happen next. This is a fast paced story that you don’t want to miss. This is a great story and series. I highly recommend this book and this series.
