The Boss Prince (It’s Raining Royals) by Alix Nichols – Review by Alexandria Richard
The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A cute royal, secret identity, semi-mystery, romance
This story has so many romance tropes in it, yet they all come together well to give an engaging romance novel, the first in a series. Kudos to Alix Nichols. A fairly quick and well paced read.
Boss Prince certainly gave an interesting take on the idea of a royal family. There’s a secret country and within the royal family is an “oracle” who tasked Prince Max with finding a woman who is “the key to the key,” whom will help lead the royal family to keeping their country safe, and hidden.
Once Max and Lucie are together their chemistry and attraction explode, despite them both knowing they should stay sway from the other, romantically at least.
Story ends well and sets up the next book with the continuation of trying to fulfill the prophecy and save their country from ruin.
I loved Lucie’s Aunt and Uncle. Their characters brought a bit of levity to the middle of the book and allowed us and Max to see a bit of background into who Lucie was outside of helping at her mom’s classic fan boutique.
I’m not really a fan of most of Max’s family as characters but I enjoyed how they helped the story move along and appreciate them for what they brought to the table.
