What an amazing novel!! It captures your mind from the very beginning and keeps you in its grasp all the way through and for many hours afterwards. I was unaware this was a series so when I tried turning the page, on what looked like a new chapter on kindle, I was shocked, dismayed and instantly went looking for book 2. It’s not out yet so I have added it to my must have list. Rowan, Theo, and the rest of the characters have transformed the way romance stories usually happen. I loved all the plot twists and turns. The Princess’s plight at the end will leave you twiddling your thumbs and obsessed with watching the calendar until the next book is due out. Happy reading!!

After reading Professor Valentine by Diana Vale, I couldn’t wait to jump into her sequel (book 6 in the series) Forever Valentine. The continuation of Diego and Cassie’s story. I love what Diana Vale has done with their love affair. Starting out as advisor and student, to a story about twin flames/love. The way Diana Vale develops her characters is done beautifully. The digging deeper into Diego and Cassie’s love is memorizing. With a wonderful supporting cast of minor characters throughout, Diego and Cassie have the love everyone wants. the undying and unyielding kind. I also the way the characters were able to persevere with all the obstacles presented to them, to test their love to the ultimate limit. I look forward to reading other books written by Diana Vale in the future!

Gone Country by Katrina Marie is a cute and sweet small town love story. I do enjoy how Katrina brought her characters to life.
Stella, a workaholic, has been given the opportunity to go to the small town of Asheville TX to get the new company distribution center up and running. I enjoy Stella’s independence when it comes to her job, but outside of work her codependency on her cousins Audrey and Tiffany is disappointing. As the story moves on we witness her growth in independence outside the workplace. As someone who is all about one’s independence it brought a smile to my face reading through her journey.
Then there’s Johnny, a tall dark and small town man handsome. He not only helps Stella in her disaster on arrival, but he has his own demons to deal with when it comes to intimate relationships. Being scorned by his high school sweetheart he reminded me of a lot of people in this world who have insecurity issues but want to put that behind them and move on. Though never an easy task.
I loved the sweetness of this story as well as the growth of Stella and Johnny, not only individually but also together.
The way Katrina Marie presents her character development, I will definitely be looking into more of her books in the near future!

The characters are all so well fleshed out and I enjoyed getting to know all of them. Typically I’m not a fan of much romance, but she made it work very well. I will definitely be reading more of her work!

The Bow was a great read! This book was interesting, entertaining and enthralling. It felt like a really quick read as well. There were so many steamy scenes, that is definitely an 18+ read. I still can’t tell which book so far has been my favorite, but I enjoyed this one much more than the second one so far. I absolutely love the world and characters that Hazel Storm has created in this series. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Home To The Outback by Nicole Flockton is the first book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series. As usual, Ms. Flockton writes a beautiful, realistic story about relationships. Some are easy and others aren’t but it is part of life and I appreciate that the Ms. Flockton writes in this way.
Ryan Flanagan studied hard to become a doctor and ultimately became a very good plastic surgeon. After years of success working on rich people, Ryan found that he wanted to help those in need like burn victims. Unfortunately, he found that his business partner didn’t agree. Soon after cutting ties with his business partner, he receives a call that his mentor Colin was in a very bad accident. Sindy Carruthers returned to her home town of Bunya Junction after a bad relationship. Colin helped her regain her confidence and mad it possible to share her experience with her family. Sindy is working as a nurse in Colin’s office when the accident happens. After the funeral, Ryan and Sindy find themselves part owners of the medical practice Colin had owned. Wow! Stormwood is hauntingly scary, and I couldn’t put it down! Such character building and story telling all rolled into a neat, almost sorrowfully short, book. Luna Mayfield uses romance to spice up this paranormal tale, but the haunting elements remain the focal point. Mayfield also includes a little familial history along the way. Intriguing and original, I recommend Stormwood to those brave enough to weather the chills and goosebumps. I can’t wait to see what other tales Luna Mayfield spins.

Easy-going, lighthearted read! Gone Country by Katrina Marie is a sweet, east read romance!

Stella is a city girl who picks up and loves to the country for a job and meets country boy Johnny! Though they are from two different worlds, the collision of their worlds into this romance was sweet and fun —and funny! I found myself laughing out loud during parts and enjoyed getting to know the characters.

Katrina Marie has a comfortable, easy-to-read writing style and this book entertained me and was a pretty fast read! I’ll look out for more by this author.

There are so many twists and turns you can’t even begin to predict what will happen next. The characters are wonderful, the plot intriguing, and the over all story left me looking for my by Ms. Mayfield. The characters are very relatable and help draw the reader in from the very beginning, but much like the main character in this story once your drawn in will you be able to get out? You’ll have to read Stormwood by Luna Mayfield to find out for yourself.

Sweet contemporary romance with a little bit of mystery that I definitely enjoyed reading. The romance in the story involves 2 men that vie for Kyra’s affections. Dylan is a marine biologist and also I love how he was devoted to preserving the turtle nests at the beach and more mature. Jake, whom is the son of Dylan’s boss, is a bit more irresponsible. At first, Kyra’s attraction to Jake was undeniable, but she also feels more sparks with Dylan. The bit of mystery that happens is whom is raiding the turtle nests at the beach and taking the eggs for their own greed. I really loved this story and how it flowed all together. I loved this sweet romance.

It was easy to feel connected to the main character Kyra, a beautiful, smart young woman working as an intern at the Mon Repos Turtle Center. She has caught the eye of two men she works with – the “bad boy” and the “good guy” and navigates through the situation well. The story takes a turn when the scientists and conservationists find that someone is poaching the turtle eggs. This can devastate the sea turtle population. Can they work together to find the poachers and find love?

There was so much to focus on in this book that it was hard to pick just one thing wether it be the law, politics, morality and so much more to choose from. Mr. Ullman’s attention to detail is amazing and gives his story so much authenticity and believability that you’ll almost feel like these are real live events happening right now. So if your looking for a great new crime thriller to read then I highly recommend Stand Your Ground by A. J. Ullman.

This was a pretty good read. It was short but I did enjoy the idea of an estate holding paranormal secrets. Some of the parts felt a bit rushed event though their intent in building the plot was clear. I would have liked to see the events occur over along duration at the estate. I felt it developed too quickly in the timeline. I definitely would read other books by this author.

The main characters are wonderful, and her word building skills made her plot and overall story line easy to follow. This story was so beautifully woven that I was pulled in from the very beginning and I never wanted it to end, I will definitely be looking for more by Ms. Finn.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is probably one of the sweetest contemporary reads that I have read in a long time. Not only did Ms. Mannersly impress me with her characters, word building, and plot but I loved that it was based around turtle conservation. Personally if all of her characters are like the ones in this book then I definitely look forward to reading more from Ms. Mannersly. With an amazing love story, a passion for saving animals and so much more how could you not love this book? So if your looking for a short contemporary romance this weekend I highly recommend A Natural Passion.

I devoured this book! I couldn’t get enough of the story line and really connected with the main character. When Princess Rowan and her cousin Davin make the poor choice of buying bootleg vodka from a kingdom they are not supposed to be in, they are caught, drugged and facing death at the hands of their captors. When their captors, Clan Elk find out who they have captured, they realize they must call a Summit to decide what must be done with her.

It quickly becomes apparent that Rowan does not fit into her new surroundings here in Socarian. Women in this kingdom are expected to be demure and defer to the men. Rowan is outspoken, mischievous and even her fiery hair can not be understated. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions that will keep you on the edge of your seat and I loved every second of it.

For a short read this book had a really great story jam packed into it. The authors writing style really flows well. As someone who believes in conservation efforts I really appreciated the efforts of the characters in this story. The push and pull between characters really makes this story stand out as a full length novel would in terms of story and character development. For a novella I actually really enjoyed all the drama, emotion, action and the little mystery. Definitely a story worth the read.

This was a new author to me but after reading the description I was intrigued. I am glad to say that this book did not disappoint at all.
We start off following Poppy which was a little confusing since there were flashbacks to Poppy as a child and some of the atrocities she had to experience. From there it is easy to make assumptions about Poppy especially after being the one to turn her father in. As she goes through this rollercoaster of life, we discover that she is at war within herself for loving her father and yet being the one to turn him in after he killed Shawn. Enter Carson who is writing a book about her dad and has acquired a stalker, that unbeknownst to him has been around for a while. Yet he is not the only one in the stalker’s sight, Poppy is too, and it almost seems like a game of cat and mouse to figure out who this person is. Is it a victim’s family member that her father murdered? What happens when the game finally comes to a head? Who will come out on top? I cannot recommend this book enough, and will do so to every book club I am apart of and every avid reader I come across I just loved this book and am excited to read Ms. O’Flynn’s other books!

Deadly Words was a fantastic read!

Poppy Pratt is just a normal person, right? I mean, so what if she turned her dad in for killing her boyfriend? So what if the police think he’s murdered more people, specifically women? There’s no proof he committed those other crimes, and if you ask anyone, they’ll say that her dad was a great guy. One mistake. He made one mistake to protect his daughter.

Fast forward to Poppy as an adult. She’s moved from her hometown, where that terrible experience happened. Now she’s a doctor, she’s getting help, and she’s doing her best to move on. Until someone writing a book about her dad shows up in her driveway. He claims he’s being stalked and thinks it’s her father.

Soon Poppy finds that the way of life she’s created is falling to pieces. Growing up with a psychopath as a father, she recognizes that whoever is now stalking her, is also a psychopath. Now she’s got to find out who it is and how to stop him before it comes out that she knows more about her father’s crimes than she’s shared.

Meghan O’Flynn has weaved a tale of suspense and surprises for her readers that keeps them on the edge of their seats. This first book in the Born Bad series makes you wonder, do our parents actions have such a strong hold on us and what are the odds there are two psychopaths in the same car?

This is a must read and I can’t wait to start the next one in the series!

Tammy Mannersly is a good author. She has mastered the art of storytelling. Her details allow me to picture in my mind what is happening in the story. Her characters are fully developed and full of life. In this story, Dylan O’ Day is a Marine Biologist and Kyra Stone is the new intern. Dylan is having feelings for Kyra but she has feelings for other co-workers. To make the story more interesting, there are poachers who bring danger and drama to the story. I highly recommend reading this short story to see if Dylan and Kyra get together and what happens to the poachers.

This is a young adult story that I fully enjoyed. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. They are connectable and give life to the story. This is a story that is written with a lot of heart and you can feel it on each page you read. This is a fast paced story that I would recommend for any young adult. This is a story about Emme and her insecurities about relationships. Will she get over these insecurities in order to have a relationship with Brendon? Brendon is a boy that everyone wants to be with and has an ex that is determined to get him back. What happens with these two I highly suggest reading this book to find out. They are great characters and I enjoyed their growth together. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

There are too many good things I have to say about this book! I was hooked from page 1 and kept wanting more. One of my favorite thrillers of this year by far, so far! Some parts were so creepy and left me with goosebumps, exactly what I have been looking for in a book lately. I love the going back and forth between the past and present, so you really know what’s going on in Poppy’s head and what happened. I heard there’s a second book coming out as well, so I can’t wait to get my hands on that one!

Another enjoyable and engaging short and sweet contemporary romance novella. Kyra Shine has been interning for a few months at the Merchant Marine Science Centre and already has a crush on bad boy and ladies man Jake. Meanwhile her older and trusted mentor Dylan O’Day seems to be very overprotective of Kyra and does not think much of Jake, but Kyra thinks he’s misinformed, after all they share a love of conservation and nature especially the ocean. Dylan has been an exemplary and devoted marine biologist for years but since Kyra joined the team he has been distracted. He wants to tell her how he feels but being older and her mentor he understands the ethical issues involved. Before he can act however, they discover that the endangered turtles nests which they have been watching over along the coast have been raided overnight.
The Science Centre team goes on high alert but following a dangerous encounter with the illegal poachers the team fight to save the turtles before another nest is ransacked. As Dylan decides whether to tell Kyra how he feels, Kyra is finding out that maybe Jake is not as perfect as he seems and that in fact she has more in common with her mentor. This is a heartwarming, sweet romance with a love triangle theme. The storyline has enough action in the plot along with a bit of mystery that I was kept happily turning the pages. The characters are all relatable and realistic and Kyra is especially likeable, I enjoyed seeing how her relationships changed and developed between her and the two men in her life. Set in Australia along the beautiful coast the author made the setting come alive and I could almost feel the sun.

I was intrigued when I read the summary of Deadly Words by Meghan O’Flynn, that I knew I had to check it out. Well written with great character development, however I struggled to get through it. It definitely wasn’t for me, but I don’t want that to be a deterrent for someone else.
Meghan O’Flynn created an interesting world for main character Poppy. Poppy a genius in her own right turn her father in to the police for murder when she was a child. Now someone is stalking her and writer Carson Price with all things starting to point at a link to her past, specifically her father.
It is her father’s doing?
Is it a hallucination?
Is it Poppy herself?
Just because this book wasn’t for me, if you like a book where the main character has a mysterious past that is now coming back to haunt and take over her future. Check it out! It could end up being your new favorite book!

This book was very cute. I enjoyed the idea of and undercover mission and Lucie not knowing the identity of Max. The name of the organization was fun, too. I really enjoyed the scenes where they traveled the passageways. It was very reminiscent of National Treasure or Robert Langdon in the Dan Brown books. I would like to see how this story progresses in the series and would read more by this author.

Stormwood: A Haunting Paranormal Tale by Luna Mayfield is a well written and intriguing paranormal story. This is a new author to me so didn’t know what to expect when going into the book. The description gave me a creepy vibe about it – I could picture this being any one of the scary films I have watched – and I couldn’t wait to start it.
I think the author has done a great job of creating that same on edge feeling with this book as you get when you watch something of the same genre. I was engrossed in what was happening and wanted to see how it was all going to play out. This is a great way to have discovered a new author and I am excited to read more.
