Beloved is the 3rd book in the 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond. I would not recommend reading this book as a stand-alone and I would definitely read the books in order as there is a great deal of information relevant to this particular book that happens in the first 3 books. As this is such a fantastic series, it wouldn’t be any hardship to read the others first. I guarantee that you will love them. In Beloved, Dylan wants to take his relationship with Evie to the next level but she’s not really sure if that’s what’s right for her at this time. Her head (and heart) are rather pre-occupied with her latest client Wyatt Wolfe, her first love. Wyatt is suffering from some major health issues and Evie has been hired to accompany him when he attends a clinic to try out some new treatment ideas. Added to this, Evie’s ‘devoted fan’ is still stalking her and has resorted to trying to get to Evie through her sick mother. I loved this book even more than the first 2. I was pulled in straight away to the story and wasn’t let go until I was a sobbing mess at the end. A word of warning – have tissues at the ready when reading this book. I really can’t wait for the 4th book in this series to see what the author has in store next for Evie.

The Fat Girls Guide is surprisingly quirky, and incredibly inspirational. I enjoyed the book from the moment I started reading it to the moment i finished it. K L Montgomery has a way with making you laugh, and helping you discover yourself in the same paragraph. This book deserves 5 stars for it’s absolutely whimsical way of writing and overall being a great book. I truly loved this book and plan on reading it again!

A Sun So Bright is my new favourite book in the Reigning Hearts Series by the very talented K.G Fletcher. I know I always say this, but I really do love all Ms. Fletcher’s books, so I was really happy to find this had arrived on my Kindle- and I put everything else aside to read it. This is a wonderful billionaire romance, with a twist. Because, in this story it’s the leading lady who is the billionaire, and her leading man is a hardworking guy from the suburbs, who is struggling to get by. Fiona has been very unlucky in love- the men in her social circle are either already in committed relationships, or too daunted by her incredible wealth to even approach her- while others are blatant Golddiggers. She’s tired of being alone, seeing her friends so happy in their relationships, and being the only single at any functions they attend. After a disastrous New Year’s Eve function, Fiona finds herself in an upscale bar just before the stroke of midnight. There she meets hunky barman Chris who immediately captures her attention. The many glasses of Champagne she’s imbibed make her bold enough to give him a New Year’s kiss when the clock strikes midnight. A kiss that has her mind swirling with possibilities. Chris could definitely be the answer to her social dilemma. And so, a ‘business’ deal is struck. I won’t go into any more detail, as I really don’t want to give too much away. Suffice to say that this book is worth the read to discover where this arrangement leads- and if these two can keep things strictly business. Or will they blur the lines of their arrangement? After all, their chemistry is intense, and Chris loves the challenge Fiona presents. He’s determined to strip away all the haughtiness and her icy demeanour, and uncover the real woman beneath the facade. While Fiona loves that Chris isn’t just sexy as sin- he’s attentive, caring, interesting, and makes her feel centred, calm, and happy. But coming from such vastly different backgrounds, and with such different lives- things aren’t going to be quite so easy. Add in a little danger and drama- and this story really wouldn’t let me put it down- reading it all in one sitting. I really loved this story- and way more than I thought I would, especially since I really wasn’t sure I could come to like Fiona. She came across as a rich B*tch- a judgemental and materialistic snob who only cared about herself and her ‘image’. But as the story unfolded, I got to see that she was really hiding behind her money- using it to sooth away her unhappiness and loneliness. But it really wasn’t working. On the surface she appeared to have everything anyone could ever want or need- a life of luxury, an enviable lifestyle, lots of friends, a beautiful home, and everything available at her beck and call. But in reality, she was so very lost and alone. Only partway into the book I started really loving her. Now, Chris on the other hand was quite a swoon-worthy creation by Ms. Fletcher; completely charming, sweet, caring, kind, attentive, endearing- and OH SO SEXY!!! They really are perfect for each other- two different worlds colliding, and the sparks fly. The story is completely captivating- romantic, touching, engaging, and memorable. Definitely my favourite of the series so far!!! I really can’t wait to see what she does next!!!

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery. Anytime I see K.L. Montgomery’s name on anything I get it and read it. This was no exception and I’m so glad I did. I related to this book in almost every aspect. Its a must read for all girls/ladies/women. Its a book showing us how to go about having positive self body image and gives us the tools to do so thru music, journals and meditation. The work has to be done to see results but I truly believe that these are valuable tools that anyone can use to have a better vision of themselves. This book can pertain to fat people, skinny people, and everything in between. It may be uncomfortable if you are really truthful with yourself but the results will be amazing. Do yourself a favor and read Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body, you will be so glad you did!

Motorcycle club/biker books are not my favorite genre, but I enjoyed this one. It had a very entertaining plot and storyline, with characters that felt genuine and real. I really enjoyed the two different perspectives, and related especially well to the tall aspect and jokes. (not a spoiler, if you read you will understand!) I feel like it had a very conclusive ending, if you like this genre and theme of story I recommend it. Definitely an 18+ novel though, with the language and steamy scenes involved.

Journeys through SpaceTime is a collection of stories running through parallel universes. Each story happens in one realm, and each story has the protagonist, the antagonist and an invisible force connecting them all, encouraging the protagonist to believe or remember his/her powers to fight against the evil. The focus shifts from one realm to another, we come across kings and queens of Egyptian empire, the vassals of the Roman empire, people from the Utopian empire and then humans of the current Earth. The book spans across different characters in multiple universes and in each universe, there is this good character, trying to battle the evil forces in any way they can. It is a very ambitious sci/fi project with lots of details, and definitely not an easy read. There are too many characters and too many worlds. To be honest, as a reader I felt it should have been more spread out. But as this book is the first in the series, I am hoping the author is going to connect all the pieces of the puzzle together and we will know the reason behind so many different characters. Based on how he constructs the plot, it can definitely turn out to be an epic fantasy/ science fiction series. It is not easy to imagine and building one fantasy world, and the author does a very commendable job building up so many at one point of time. It is a work of excellent imagination from a very promising author. Hope to see more work from him!

Landing the Lawman is the fifth book in the Hills of Texas Series by Kadie Scott. Even though this is the fifth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. It is another great contemporary romance- with a little drama, lots of chemistry, emotion, steam, tension, angst, banter- and a friends to lovers element. We’ve met the Hills in the previous books, and this is Carter’s story. This is one of my favourites of the series and I loved following Carter and Logan and seeing how things developed between them. They are such opposites- but really are perfect for each other. Two halves to a whole. And as with the other books in this series, it left me feeling good at the end and really satisfied with how things played out. I can always count on Ms. Scott to produce a great story that will pull me in and keep me engaged the whole way through. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) is the first book I have read by M.J Masucci. When this book showed up on my recommended book feed, I admit I was more than a little intrigued. So I grabbed a copy and jumped right in. It is a second chances romance, with drama, love, betrayal, angst, past history, forgiveness, and some push-pull. I have to be honest and say that I am a little disappointed, because I really couldn’t connect with the characters, even though I really wanted to. I definitely wanted to love this story, but I felt the writing was a little stilted and the flow of the story wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped for and some parts felt abrupt and/or strained. I really think the characters and storyline could use just a little more depth to really make an impact. But that is probably just me- so, I will revisit this book again in the future to see if I still feel the same way- or whether I was just having a ‘bad read day’ during this book. As I said, I really wanted to love this book- but for me, it fell short- the characters frustrated me so badly, I wanted to smack their heads together. Some of the dialog didn’t feel realistic or believable, and even a little contrived for the situation. The characters personalities grated on me- and I really couldn’t find my groove with the storyline. Even though there is a bit of a twist to add some interest and drama to the story- it still didn’t grab me in the way I wished it had. But I will revisit later and reassess things then.

Oh, what a wonderful collection of stories this book, The Wicked Wolves of Windsor and Other Fairytales, by Byrd Nash is. New stories but they feel so familiar. Easy to read, morals with a twist and they just feel good. Been a long time since I’ve read fairy tales, but these were so good. The Prince Learns A Lesson was my favorite. Think I am going to try a few of these out on my grands. I loved these stories, you will too!

Lillie (Maggie Trilogy Series Book 3) by Mya O’Malley was an emotional read. After following Naomi through two other books I have become very attached to her. Naomi has a wonderful spirit and is such a great character, I felt like she really comes into her element here. There is another mystery to solve and it weaves in so naturally into the story. I love the thrilling elements that are embedded in this paranormal read.

Never Date a Siren (College Fae Book 1) by Byrd Nash was a wonderful fantastical read. I enjoyed the world that was built and the mesh between fae and human. I adored Brigit as the main female lead. She was such a “wow” character with a unique perspective. I loved Brigit as being out guide through understanding the fae world and their expectations, it was a great way to build the world and introduce the reader to the implications of what is happening. Logan was a good character read, I found it interesting that the victim was the male lead but again it was a welcome change. I cannot wait to see what the author creates next in this series.

I can’t even begin to tell you what a pleasure this book was. The Sister Pact: Home is Where the Heart is by Jacquie Biggar was such a delight. A good clean romance with a situation between sisters that seems unsurmountable. Sometimes things happen in families that there seems there is just no coming back from. Someone has to be willing to cross the bridge, no matter how painful that is. In some situations time is short and it’s best not to leave it too long. Sometimes you just don’t know what you are missing. This was a great little story about all that. A real easy read that will leave you with a big sigh at the end. So glad I read this one, you will be too.

Beloved was a great 5 star read and book three in the 21st Century Courtesan series. I was pulled in right from the beginning of this series and it keeps getting better.
Evie is thrown for a loop when the man of her dreams wants marriage. Wyatt and Evie have known each other since they were seventh graders, first loves actually. He needs help and Evie is the only one who can help him.
Easton and Wolfe also come back in this book along with Evie’s stalker. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. My emotions were all over the place. All of the characters added a great element to the story. We also get some hot and steamy moments that will melt your kindle.
Overall I really enjoyed this book There are so many dark and mysterious elements to the story and I loved it. Pamela pulls you right in with her writing. I was finished before I knew it and now I can’t wait to read what’s coming next from this author.

We have Abby who is the model student and human being. Top grades and on her track to Harvard until something in her past comes up. It was something she buried but no deep enough. Someone is calling her out on the events of her past but she has no idea who it is.
I loved reading this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it had me guessing who this person could be. I have fallen in love with this book and the author’s writing. The author became a one-click for me!

Beloved is the third book in the 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond. I have been waiting for this book to come out, to see how this story progresses. It was well worth the wait. This book hooked me from the first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. It is fast paced and had my emotions all over the place. Evie is such a complex woman with a heart of gold. The men in this story are beyond out of this world, and the plot I’d amazingly mind blowing. This is my new favorite book by Ms. DuMond, and I just can’t wait to read more from this amazing author!

Naomi has returned in the 3rd installment of the Maggie series, to once again find closure for spirits that are in need of peace.
As she settles into her life with Bryce and Holly, she’s feeling like she’s finally able to rest. She’s had an eventful year or two and its reasonable to say she could use some serious quiet time. All does not stay quiet as she’s revisited by a spirit from her childhood, Lillie. Even when she had interacted with Lillie as a child she understood that there were parts of her that were not ok, mean spirited and downright scary. As she got older, she no longer heard from Lillie and in fact, she had pushed those memories so far down that she had forgotten. But it was one of those moments of exploring that she became face to face with a harsh reality, Lillie wanted something from her. But what is it?
Along the way, she’s asked to help out on a special case where a woman is killed. There aren’t many clues and it believed that Naomi’s special abilities can help them find out who did it and why. Combined with the difficulties of Lillie’s tormenting, her new relationship with Holly and the new case, Naomi feels like this will all be her undoing. How can she find out who was truly behind what happened to Lillie, the homicide victim and save her family at the same time? It’s one thing after another and she’s determined to not let anyone take her happy ending away.
I loved this series, even the moments where it startled me! My heart ached for Lillie, even when I wanted to scream and yell at her. The emotional pull with this whole story got me and I couldn’t put it down. It’s so well written, and so spot on with the ghostly moments. It’s the perfect read for anyone that loves more realistic paranormal books with a side of suspense and romance!

Game of Fear: A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist. Fearless Series Glede’ Browne Kabongo ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a full length novel. A thriller written for YA, but don’t let that stop you. It is a great intense story for all.
As I won’t give away any spoilers, I can tell you that this is a must read! Abbi Cooper is at St. Matthew’s Academy headed towards a major league college. Her nightmare is about to happen and she has no clue who could be behind it all. She must play the game and find out who knows what.
Glede’ Browne Kabongo has a great imagination! Her story is gripping and will keep you turning the page, just to see what happens next. Her characters are typical teenagers. You know the ones you hang out with. This story gives you suspense as well as well as keeps you up all night to finish the book. Once you sit in this rollercoaster, hang on as its about to get real. I enjoyed this story and look forward to spreading the word. This is a new author for me! One I will continue to follow.

The Wicked Wolves of Windsor by Byrd Nash is a collection of fantasy fairy tales with a modern twist but are as dark as the Grimm brother’s tales. Each of the six stories are very short and different from the others. Whilst each story is unique there is the underlying theme of the old classics within. In each there is a strong female protagonist definitely no shrinking violets to be seen. The stories are set in different times and locations that range from modern to medieval giving each different flavour.
If you love your fairy tales and a little magic Byrd’s Wicked Wolves will hit just the right spot.

This book is not in my normal age group range for characters (high school). I just feel i don’t relate or they’re acting older than they should but this had a nice balance so it held me to the story. Abbie is destined to go far but someone is trying to blackmail her for the one wrong thing she ever did. I kind of figured it out early on but wasn’t 100% sure until closer to the end. Will read more from this author as it seems with the sneak peak at the end the story continues on for Abbie in college and another mystery.

Landing the Lawman (The Hills of Texas Book 5) by Kadie Scott is another enticing story in the series. It is a sweet and funny tale that is sexy and endearing characters that you can’t help but fall in love. Each book has been about all the siblings and has focused on the sons but this story is about the only daughter, Carter. Kadie is a must read author.
Carter is sassy and strong, opinionated and definitely not shy. She knows what she wants and isn’t ashamed to go after it but there is one man who she finally realises she loves but he is not a relationship man.
Logan is a workaholic and does not do relationships with woman and not so much with people in general. But there is one temptation that is slowly getting under his skin.
I highly recommend grabbing a copy and enjoying the ride.

This series has grown on me. I can’t believe that this is the last book of the Lillie trilogy. I absolutely love a good paranormal romance but this author exceeded all of my expectations. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing story.
Naomi is feeling a little peace now in her life. She is loving her new little family. Naomi thought her life would be normal again but when her officer friend comes to her for her help in a case she is back at it again. She feels like she can help solve this horrible crime. Sky to Sea by Amanda Marin is the is the second book in the Crimson Sash series. This series does need to be read in order to fully understand what is happening. It had been a while since I had read book one but I found it really easy to pick up from where it left off. I soon found myself immersed back into the characters and their stories. This book was well paced and exciting. You really have to feel for Neve and Micah. They really thought they had found the place for them to be safe and happy and instead they find themselves mixed up in more turmoil. The author has done a great job with the continuation of this series and I can wait to see what comes next.

5-Stars
Game of Fear (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo was thrilling and crazy! I loved this invigorating story. I was hooked from the start with this novel. I loved Abbie and her group of friends. It reminded me of my friends from when I was young. She was a talented and strong lead character. I loved how smart and motivated she was. The characters were all developed well in this novel. I also enjoyed the various settings and felt they were described well. This was such an exciting read. I highly recommend it.

Lillie is the grand finale of Mya O’Malley’s Maggie Trilogy and what a finale it is! If you love paranormal suspense and love stories than congratulations, you have hit the jackpot AND you absolutely need to read the series in order as the previous books have been building up to it all! The journey we have been on with Naomi has been an interesting one, she has been through a lot and Lillie really tests her and she realises what her destiny is. Naomi can see and hear spirits that come to her for help so that they could have some sort of disclosure. In Lillie Naomi has married Bryce and she has hoped to have some time to find her normal and enjoy her married life and get to settle into her role as a stepmother to Holly. The writer takes us on a rollercoaster ride that she has thrown in couple of crazy twists and developments and I truly hope that there will be a spin-off as she hints at when wrapping up the trilogy as I love the paranormal genre and her writing style!

Covert Threat is the fifth book in the series Gray Ghost Novels by Amy McKinley. Ms. McKinley is an amazing author who brings her story to life. Her characters in her story are amazing and keep you engaged throughout the entire story. This story has some romance in with the action/mystery all rolled into one book. One reason I enjoy McKinley, as a reader I want to be apart of the story and not on the side lines. This story is about Trev, a former Navy Seal, and Jules a workaholic who needs some protection. Trev is assigned to protect Jules because of threats made against her. Will Trev be able to protect Jules? Will Trev and Jules end up being a couple? Only reading this story will you find out about these details. .

A great read about weddings. Tensions run high and danger lurks when the daughter of the Minister of Defense and her new groom are found murdered. All Luke and Samaar want to do is get married on a yacht in Instanbul. But life seems to have other ideas in store for them when a security breach puts their plans on hold. With these targets on new couples, the team of the Raven Group race to find the culprits before they strike again. Can they find out the truth before it’s too late? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Luke determined but loving underneath or Samaar standing up for herself but vulnerable underneath. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the scenery of a Istanbul or Turkey with its seas and beaches for sense of peace and tranquility, but also foreboding bad tidings. The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in the chapter titles. I also liked the use of suspense with small details revealed slowly to make you keep reading to find out who’s behind it and why they’re attacking weddings. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.
