Beau & Bett by Kathryn Berla is a five star novel. This is my second novel by this author and I have loved them both! This was like a modern day yelling of Beauty and the Beast. The roles are reversed, but it still did the trick! When we are introduced to Beau, his family is struggling. With dad out of work and all the bills piling up and mom having an accident, Beau knows he needs to do something to help out. When he goes to the estate of the rich kid his mom had an accident with, he asks them for a job to pay the bill to fix the car. Little does he know how awful Bett can be. As he gets to know her more, he realizes there is much more to her life than just being an awful, spoiled rich girl.
Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) by Zeia Jameson. 4 out of 5 stars Milo Cipriani. What a strong name. If I was a dude, I would want a name like Milo Cipriani. Proper Impulse is the 4th installment in the Jaded Lily series. This series is amazing. We first meet Milo in the previous books and I will be honest, he wasn’t left on pretty terms. Milo is a police officer who takes his job very, very seriously. He is stern, uptight and a stick shoved up his rear. He meets his match when he comes face to face with his exact opposite, Juniper. Juniper is free-spirited, fun loving and will wear her heart on her sleeve. She is willing to bend the rules just a little if it means doing the right thing in the long run. Opposites really do attract in this blizzard meeting of Milo and Juniper. This book is dual point of view, which is very refreshing and gives unique insights to each character as the development grows with and between each one. This book can be read as a standalone. Myself, I highly recommend reading all books in series order as the author intended. Beautiful story, fantastic characters and another ballpark smash for Ms. Jameson.
Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley was a great fantasy read. I was hooked from the beginning. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I love my ancient world stories and this read did not disappoint. Nerissa was a great read, I loved her strength. There was definitely an air of mystery about her that grabbed my attention.
5 Star Unchained Memory (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 1) by Donna S. Frelick a spell binding read that sucked me in from the beginning and didn’t let go till I finished the last page. There was times I was on the edge of my seat. Asia and Ethan.Shes a smart independent woman who is determined to find out what happened to the three hours she can’t remember . He’s a Psychiatrist who has compassion for his patients and he’s very determined to help Asia. Will Asia get the answer’s she is looking for? What does these two future look like? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley is a fantasy story. I really enjoyed this book and was glad to pick it up. I have read other books from this author but this was different for me because of the fantasy aspect. There is so much world building and character development and it pays off. The story is great and I did not want to put it down. I liked there were parts taken from mythology and it helped guide the story. I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading more like this from this author in the future.
Beau & Bett by Kathryn Berla is a reboot of the classic Beauty and the Beast. Beau is a kind, young man who is working off his family’s debt to Bett’s. Bett is a beastly, unkind teen girl. Will Beau’s kindness rub off on her rough exterior? This is a quick read and it was a good story. The story of Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite tales and this did keep the spirit of the story despite all the changes. I am glad that the author took the liberty to make it her own and not just change one detail. I did miss some of my favorite parts of the original but did enjoy this as well. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Love Me, Dreamy: A YA Paranormal Romance with Breathtaking Twists by Laura Burton is Amazing. It is original, fresh and exciting. I was hooked and enthralled and it kept me flipping through the pages. There were lots of twists that had me guessing all the way through, there was no way I could guess where the story was going. Lauras’ writing is truly magical and as always it is a pleasure to read her works. The vividness and the passion shone through and seeped out from the pages. The characters were wonderful and I fell in love with them and the story has stayed with me long after I finished.
I am not going to reveal anything because this is a tale that has to be read and fully savoured by reaching your soul word by wonderful word.
This story has my stamp of approval if you don’t grab it you are truly missing out on something magical.

Irresistible Heroes Anthology. First off let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Anthologies. It is like getting multiple books all wrapped into one amazing book. You also get to read authors that you might otherwise have never even considered looking into. One of my favorite authors, just happened to be in this particular anthology, lucky lucky me…… and also a few that I have never read before.
Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes ( Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 9) by Tamara Ferguson. I love that one again we find ourselves in Crystal Rock, this time with just as much drama, suspense and romance from the previous books.
I truly enjoyed reading this anthology and now I have a couple of new authors to start reading…..

Finding Ruth is not my typical type of go to read, often biographical books just tend to not keep my attention quite the way fiction books do. However, I adore Cynthia Hamilton and her Madeline Dawkins novels have really been some of my absolute favorites that I have read this year so I decided I needed to give this one a go as well. I am so glad that I did. It was eloquently written story that I never expected to grasp me by the heartstrings quite the way that it did.
Finding Ruth tells the life story of Ruth, Hamilton’s mother. I can’t imagine how that must have felt to do, especially with knowing the outcome of the life secrets and trials she would unearth. I loved how this never failed to stay real, it was quite frankly raw and beautiful in all its scarred edges. I really ended up absolutely admiring Ruth for the life she managed to live, and give to three children on her own. It makes you feel really lucky to have the things I do as a mother, I couldn’t imagine doing without some of the basics like Ruth does so often. There isn’t really a negative comment I could make about this novel. I would highly recommend that you scoop it up! I can’t wait to see what will come from the ever talented Cynthia Hamilton.

I loved this book so so so much, I met Poppy in Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander which if you haven’t read go grab that as soon as possible, the two books work well with each other. Poppy is now one of my favorite female leads. She cracked me up half the time with her inner dialogue and when she was talking directly to me.
Sylvie has a way of grabbing you at the very beginning and slowly transporting you into the story where you forget that anything else is going on around you.
This book had it all and Poppy and Mac had quite a journey, ups and downs and definitely the slow burn the author tells you to expect before beginning. Mac is every girls dream and I fell in love with him immediately, even when he scared me as much as he scared Poppy.
Not going in to the storyline…Just know you need to read this book, it was completely awesome and I know I will read it again in the future.
Can’t wait for the next book I pick up by this author, an automatic one click for me.

The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 2) by India Kells 5 Stars!!!!!
I am absolutely without words this book was such a great read. I have read this author before and I was not disappointed. I really was hooked from the first page. I realy find that this author has such a refreshing style. The characters really jump up off of the page and straight into my imagination. I felt as though I was Josie.
I really like how the author creates the drama around the characters. Josie and Spencer just have such a spark and the little added bonus of Gage well that was just the right amount of spice. I also like how just a bit of the past comes into play. The author really draws in the reader and I will definitely be reading more from this author as well as hopefully this series.

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen. This is such a cute and easy read, it easily sweeps you away into the lives of the characters. The blurb utterly hooked me straight away. I wanted to see how things ended up and how these characters made things work. I instantly fell in love with them and their story. I have read a few books by this author now and each and everyone I have enjoyed, this one being no exception. I would definitely recommend anything by this author.

Another wonderful story of the Paranormal Talent Agency Crew. Liz…who has been thorn in everyone’s side now meets her man. Can she keep him is the question. It’s great to see some of the old characters get involved with her story. Well not only hers…Catherine is deeply involved as well.
This is the last installment of the Paranormal Talent Agency. These are some fun and other-worldly characters. The author does a good job with the story. It seems to flow nicely and the wonder of what was happening next filled me. I read this fairly quickly.

It’s Matt Benagert’s turn to find his lady love in Undercover, book 2 in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by author Via Mari. While Matt is working undercover in the Chicago mafia world he comes into contact with Marenah Koslov and the sparks fly. Marenah is beautiful, blonde, and Russian with an ocean’s worth of secrets. Matt is taken by this beauty right from the beginning but once some of Marenah’s secrets come to light he has to decide if Marenah is worth all of the danger that comes with her. This was a great addition to this series, I’ve been a fan of Matt’s since the Prestian and Torzial books by this author and have been looking forward to Matt getting his HEA. Marenah was the perfect foil for Matt. She was tough, strong willed and independent while having a heart of gold and an integral need to help the underdog. I can’t wait to see who is up next in this series.

Asia is missing 3 hours of her life. That small amount of time had a massive effect on her life. Now she is trying to find out just what happened in that time frame. This leads her to Ethan, a psychiatrist who specializes in odd cases. But the feeling they have for one another are not to be shared between a doctor and his patient. Plus, the deeper they delve into what really happened, the more they discover how little they really know. But this isn’t the only issue. Ethan has had other patients with similar experiences. Not to mention the people who seem to be after them. Will they get to the truth of what really happened? Or is the cost of information too great?
This was unlike any book I have read before. It was quite interesting, but I thought there was a little too much going on in the beginning. Later on though, it all evens out and is a little more cohesive, but again, this is just my opinion. The characters were done well, they are not just flat cardboard people put here to take up space. Even the secondary characters are enjoyable and have depth to them. There is plenty going on in this book too, so you will not be bored. Plus it has action, romance, and science fiction aspects to it, covering many genres.
If you enjoy science fiction with action and romance thrown in, this book is for you.

The story Out Bad (Sinners or Saints Book 1) by Janice M. Whiteaker is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the last word. The story is very romantic. There are scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I loved reading about the two main characters. He is kind, understanding, and hardworking. He also is a man with a past and demons. Everything seems to change when he meets Gwen. Gwen is intelligent, stubborn, and could be considered a workaholic. With one meeting she finds herself not able to stop thinking of him. There is an attraction between them that they can’t deny. Will his past try to take away the one thing that matters to him? What does the future hold for both of them? Read this book to find out. This story is at times emotional and suspenseful. It had me wondering what was going to happen next as well as enjoying reading about the feelings and emotions that the two main characters have and show for each other. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced. While many of them are helpful and friendly there are those who have their own selfish agenda. This is a story that you will not be able to put down until you have finished. It is a book that I highly recommend reading.

The story Finding Ruth: A Daughter’s Quest to Discover Her Mother’s Past by Cynthia Hamilton is a biography/memoir book. It tells the life story of the author’s mother. It is a tale that is emotional and also hard to put down. I found Ruth to be strong, intelligent, and at times stubborn. I found her story to be filled with love, disappointment, and at times despair. The book has a way of staying with you and I found myself thinking about it long after I had read the last page. There are descriptions of the different relationships she has as well as how through it all she took care of herself and her children. The author has pieced together her mother’s life through memories, photos, letters, and public records. There are moments that are heartbreaking. Don’t miss out on an amazing story of one woman’s life as told by her daughter which is sure to touch your heart. I highly recommend reading it.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. It is a well developed story that is engaging and held my attention. I enjoyed watching Cindy grow throughout the story. She pulled me right into the story with her as she learns things about her Grandmother that she didn’t know. As she finds things, it leaves her with more questions and she is determined to find the answers. This is a heartwarming story that will make your heart swell. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this story, a heartwarming story. This book is about a subject that I have experienced, it is a difficult subject, this author did a great job with it. This story is told from the POV of a daughter talking about her mother. In this story the daughter realizes that she doesn’t know much about her mother’s life. The more she digs, the more she realizes the trials and hardships her mother went through and more. This story is full of heart and will touch your soul, a must read.

The story Discovery (The Orphan Train Saga Book 1) by Sherry A. Burton is a historical fiction book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself lost in a book that is both interesting and emotional. The story takes you back to a time when some in society were not sympathetic to the plight of orphans and when it seems that those orphans were considered disposable, unwanted, and unloved. This book brought tears to my eyes and I found myself thinking about it long after I had finished the last page. It is a story that touched both my heart and soul. I enjoyed reading about Cindy Moore. She thinks that she is tying up some loose ends regarding her grandmother’s estate. What she finds instead are secrets and discoveries that she never expected. She uncovers her grandmother’s past as part of the Orphan Trains and the details of her grandmother’s life. This is a story that is hard to put down until you finish the last page. I highly recommend reading it.

Unchained Memory is the first book in the Interstellar Rescue Series by Donna S. Frelick. I have really enjoyed reading this book, and series- coming into it a little backwards by starting with book four and working my way backwards to book one. So, as you can probably guess from my last statement, the books in this series can definitely be read as a standalone without feeling like you are missing out on anything, or any important parts of the story. But, there are other recurring characters in this story/series who are really interesting, and you will find yourself wondering about them and what’s in the other books- so expect that one book won’t be enough, and that you’ll want to catch up on the other stories, too. This is a bit of a racy space adventure- a science fiction story, full of danger, suspense, emotion, action, adventure, mystery, secrets, and intrigue- all wrapped around a sizzlingly hot romance. But it was the emotive content of the story that I really wasn’t expecting- it snuck up on me, woven through the storyline, but coming to a head towards the end, where I spent the final chapter/s bawling my eyes out. Then add to the mix some combustible chemistry, many intense scenes, heartbreaking details, violence, abuse, danger, hidden agendas, betrayal, friendship, adversity, conspiracy, risk, love, loss, grief, heartache, sacrifices, and memory loss- and you have all the ingredients needed to make this a completely riveting read! Asia Burdette works at a talent agency in Nashville, doing her best to put the past behind her- but not really succeeding. Her days are plagued with thoughts of what ifs, guilt, and heartache- and her nights are haunted my terrorizing nightmares that leave her with more questions than she has answers for. In a desperate attempt to put it all behind her once and for all, Asia finds herself at yet another Psychiatrist’s office- without any real confidence that he’ll be able to help her. Ethan Roberts takes on difficult cases- and prides himself on being able to help. He takes this responsibility to his patients very seriously and is respectful and professional, no matter what. But his latest patient is testing his resolve, both personally and professionally- her story is heartbreaking and frightening. He feels for her and is determined to help her. Will Ethan believe her? Will he be able to help her? What happens when danger comes calling? Is there really someone with a hidden agenda, or is it just a misunderstanding? What they discover is so much bigger than either of them ever expected and will change both their lives forever. The story transitions from past to present and back again through the story- developing a lot of the backstory and character background information. Ms. Frelick cleverly wove the past and present together into a smooth and intriguing read that had me engrossed the whole way through. There is definitely more to this story than first meets the eye, and it’s more than worth your time, money and effort! Another fascinating read from a fantastic storyteller!

Love Me, Dreamy is the latest instalment in the Love Me series by Laura Burton. This is my first read from Ms. Burton, so apart from the intriguing blurb, I wasn’t entirely sure of what to expect I’d find when I embarked on this mysterious adventure. What a great surprise this book turned out to be- in a really great way! I had thought the story sounded sweet, light, and interesting- and I decided it would make a great ‘palate cleanser’ after a string of darker reads- but what I got was so much more. This turned out to be an enthralling paranormal romance with a wonderful fantasy component, and some sci-fi elements. Ms. Burton has woven a wonderful tale that held all my attention from the beginning, right till the very end. I read it in one sitting and loved every word! I am so happy to find that there are two other books in the series for me to sink my teeth into! This story may not be all that long, but Ms. Burton packs a lot into this polished package. There is an adventure, action, danger, mystery, suspense, intrigue, tension, emotion, wonderful world building, and so much more for us to appreciate. The story is very thought provoking, and I kept trying to piece everything together and figure out exactly what was happening- I had several scenarios running through my mind- but wasn’t entirely sure until towards the end. One of my scenarios turned out to be correct, which surprised me- because it could have gone in so many different directions. I really enjoyed the whole process- the plot, the characters, Ms. Burton’s easy flowing and dynamic style, and following along intently to find out one of my ideas was actually right. The story really was so cleverly constructed that I couldn’t be sure about anything, so I was clutching at straws and looking for any clues- guessing all the while with several possibilities. I was completely wrapped up in what was happening and desperately needed to know how things would play out. Amelia and Toby are really wonderful characters, and I really loved meeting them and cheering them on from the sidelines. These two were perfect for each other- and the ending was the perfect way to finish this touching story. I am not going to get into the story here, because I really don’t want to give anything away- the surprising twist is worth discovering for yourself. This is a sweet, clean, surprising, intriguing, and well written story that all fantasy/paranormal, and romance readers should have on their TBR. I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Burton’s work in the near future! She’s an author whose work I won’t soon be forgetting.

Beau & Bett by Kathryn Berla is a fun modern day fairy tale. Her characters resemble the fairytale but there are many more layers to their characters. I was a little skeptical because I love Beauty and the Beast. I was blown away. There were some harsh moments with the Beau and Bett but that was to be expected. Overall I would recommend this story to everyone. There needs to be a little more fairy tale stories in this chaotic world.

What would you do if you were tempted or even pushed to break your biggest rule when it comes to work? Not even for your husband? Well we find out if Athena is the rule breaker here or not in this story. I love this author, hands down have read all her books to date. And this didn’t disappoint. Was different from her other reads and it was a homerun here! Loved the characters, the drama, the hot bedroom and non bedroom scenes! This is a must read. I don’t want to say anymore for fear of giving too much away but can i get a Ramsey for myself?

A great read about love. Eamonn is a traveller in the horse trade. Whilst at a fair, he falls for a young woman named Katie. To his horror, she is forced to marry another man who she doesn’t love. Desperate to save her, he races against time and across the sea to unknown lands with nothing but luck and some close family members. Will it be enough to win her back? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Katie standing up for herself but vulnerable underneath or Eamonn sure of himself but devoted underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the supportive Ciaran or strong and silent Ruari. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the standing stones in the bog with the mist for a sense of magic and mystery wonderfully written. Or the scenes at the fair full of life and people with small stalls and trades giving a feel of the historical setting so vivid its as if you’re actually there. Or the vibrant sense of colour throughout with the dancing lights or the brooch or the wedding dresses bright and bold and wonderful. The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of events and was easy to follow. I also liked the use of the weather throughout, giving a feel for Ireland and also foreboding bad events at points aswell wonderfully written. I also loved the use of the Irish names and places and pronounciations was a lovely touch. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Proper Impulse is the fourth novel in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. This is my second novel by this author.
I don’t want to give too much away but I loved this novel. From the first meeting to the end and I didn’t want this novel to end.
This is a novel where opposite attract between Milo Cipriani who is a police officer who always does what’s right and Juniper Jensen who helps those in need. Surprisingly this relationship and chemistry works and is an entertaining read.
This story follows the lives and relationships between Tallie and El Diablo.
Tallie is a hostess in a club and El Diablo is the biggest mafia boss in New York. When El Diablo asks for Tallie’s assistance he didnt expect to fall for her and he didnt expect for the secrets she revealed to him about her childhood.
What follows is a rollercoaster ride as Tallie comes to terms with her past and El Diablo trys to solve who’s trying to start a war while struggling with his growing feelings for Tallie.
I really enjoyed this book. The story is well written and the characters are so good you feel like you actually know them.

McKinley continues to prove herself to be so versatile in her writing style and appeal. This latest work completely drew me in and held me captive from beginning to end. I couldn’t shake how tangible everything felt to me. Simply put, if you love a good fantasy, good writing, and a great storyline, you need to pick this up. You won’t regret it. This is a stellar take on some fantastic fantasy/mythological themes.
Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) By Zeia Jameson. I absolutely loved this story. Seriously wish I could read it again for the first time. From page one I was hooked, although I’ll be honest after the other books I knew I’d probably like this one as well. But “like” it isn’t a strong enough phrase I LOVED IT! The characters are complex and relatable and just had a way that had me sinking into their story. The author has a way of making words jump off the pages and come alive before your eyes. I love a story that makes me forget time and where I’m at and this one while short does just that. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way!
Guilty Pleasures Volume 3: Guilty Pleasures By Joyce McCarthy. Another awesome set of stories made to get you a bit hot under the collar. This collection has something for everyone and I enjoyed reading it from start to finish. I honestly couldn’t put it down once I opened it. It’s well written and paced nicely, it being short stories doesn’t hinder the enjoyment I got. Have a glass of ice water on hand though just a thought because this author knows how to write guilty pleasure. Five stars all the way and highly recommend it.
