The Memory of Us written by Lisa Sorbe. This is a cute second chance story about Laney and West. There’s a lot of push and pull with their relationship and with everything that happened in the past. Laney is a little hard to get to know as a character but the more into the story the more you start to understand why. West on the other hand is pretty open about certain things especially when it comes to messing with Laney and getting her to open up. But once every thing is out in the open will thing work out like they should have or is there too much in their past for them to move forward with a new relationship…

The Only Series by Bree Kraemer is a set of five books and what a gre as r series this is. I have had the pleasure of reading other books by Ms. Kraemer in the past and she hasn’t disappointed me yet. There are several hot moments throughout the series that will leave you fanning yourself. We meet several great characters who all face different challenges while falling in love.
Only By His Touch was my favorite of the five though I loved each one of the stories so much this one got to me and I think that is because strength Samantha has and shows when life decided to knock her down then kick several times while she is down. She come out on the other side stronger than everyone realized, including herself.
Only With Trust is Michelle’s story. She has been burned many times in the past and has serious trust issues due to that. She is afraid to give her heart and rightfully so but in the end the heart wants what the heart wants no matter when the brain says.
If Only is Colin’s story and I think of the guys he ended up being my favorite with Steve a very close second. His family has a history with love that not a lot of people can say they have and it slams into him the moment he sees her. Why the brain seems to shut down once a guy falls in love I will have no idea.
Only You is about Sophie getting her happily ever after, after heartbreak and watching her friends find their someone special. Sophie broke my heart a little bit and I just wanted to hug her and make it better.
In Only For Love we finally get to find out about Gretchen and see the scars she carries from her childhood. Running will not fix anything and I wish I could have told her that.
Each one of these stories touched me in a different way and saw a little piece of myself in each one of the women. Great series.

Rising Star by Susannah Nix is the type romantic comedic story I have found myself enjoying lately. Griffin is what I think I would to think my favorite actors be like in real life when the cameras aren’t looking. The love he has for his dog just melted my heart and made me like him that much more.
Alice is amazing, she is working on her Doctorate and while working with another Professor has a horrible experience that unfortunately happens way too often in life. I know it isn’t the easiest of things to face but I wish she had done more.
The two of them together just work so well together and I enjoyed their story and look forward to reading other books by Ms. Nix, hopefully in the near future.

Fatal Legislation by Ellen Butler is book two of the Karina Cardinal Mystery Series. This book is full of suspense, drama, and mystery. You are definitely on the edge of your seat the entire time.
Karina is independent, strong, and smart. Karina witnessed something she never expected to see. However, now that she’s considered “a person of interest”, she is determined to get to the bottom of it. There is a lot in Karina’s way but she’s determined not to let them get in the way. Karina has to maneuver politics and money.
I enjoyed this book even more than the first book I think. It has everything you could want out of a book and it’s very well written! Karina is such a strong character. She’s driven and determined. She’s definitely someone you could picture as yourself. I am glad I picked this book up!

Hope’s Defeat ( The Fated Series Book 3) by Angela McPherson is the third book in the Fated series and is the continuance of Trinity and Blain’s story. If you haven’t already read the first two books in this series I highly suggest you do .Oh man I’m completely blown away .I love this book/ series and can guarantee I will be reading it again and again. Rising Star was a great 5 star read and book one in the Starstruck Series.
Alice has been asked to move out but she’s been dodging her roomie, now that she’s a third wheel he wants her out. She hasn’t had any luck finding a new place. She is working as an extra on a tv set.
Griffin is an actor on the show that Alice is an extra for. Now that the show is coming to an end he has to start looking at other options for his career. He has to work in Atlanta for a few months and gets news that he no longer has a dog sitter.
While talking to Alice, Griffin comes up with a great idea to have her live at his house to house/dog sit for him. Alice is a little leary at first because of something that happened to her in the past, but finally agrees.
As Griffin and Alice spend time together the closer they seem to get. Could there be more for them?
There is so much to this great read. We see what can happen to celebrities and tabloids and just what a mess they can cause. We learn more about Alice’s issue with a professor. I loved these books. Each one was filled with wonderful characters. Each book could be read as a standalone but they make more since read in order because the characters are mentioned in all the books. It helps also to understand the history of each as well. They were great steamy romances and I could not stop reading them!

I originally read this series as individual books in 2017. It was so cool re-reading them as a boxed set. Like revisiting old friends who you haven’t seen since the Christmas Party last year 🙂
I love this series, it gives me the same feelings that I got when I read Jessie Evan’s “Always a Bridesmaid” series or Melody Anne’s “Billionaire Bachelor Series” starring “The Andersons” – that feeling that I want to – no need to – devour all the books and never want the series to end. Each book is better than the last and we get to see what the previous characters are up to now.
Each book has all the components of a “classic” romance. There are friendships, family, sexy times, angst, misunderstandings and ROMANCE.
I have a total girl crush on the author and she has become a one-click author to me – no questions asked.
I absolutely recommend this series and it is in my top 5 romance series of all times.

The Something Series Box Set contains the first three books in the Something Series by Aubrey Bondurant. I absolutely love this series since I read the first book two years ago and i can’t recommend these books highly enough. This box set is a great way to get into Ms. Bondurant’s work- and it is like a present – you get three books in one go! The Box Set contains: Tell Me Something (1), Ask Me Something (2) and Bet Me Something (3). Book one gives us Haylee and Josh – the story sucks you in from the first chapter, it keeps you on your toes and it is hard to put the book down as you want to know how do those 2 hard headed aka independent and strong willed people figure out a working relationship. The author was able to find a great balance between cute and light-hearted and ‘sturm und drang’ making it an enjoyable read. Book two gives us Sasha and Brian – Ms Bondurant’s writing was even better, the characters were more complex, there were no embellishments, you were getting hit with emotions right and left…I cannot tell you how much I cried while I was reading this book… Don’t worry, it is not a bad thing, I think it gives credit to the writer’s ability to write so well that I could relate to what was going on to the extent it made me cry. I did laugh out loud as well, no doubt there! Ms Bondurant does not shy away from the topics that many of us struggle with – control over being vulnerable, anxiety, panic attacks, being alone or trusting, keeping appearances or letting people in… I felt like I was living the life Sasha was living, feeling the pain, confusion, triumphs, love, sex… Book three gives us Kenzie and Colby – Kenzie has been in love with Colby since she was six years old, but will he ever not see her as her brother’s best friend’s sister. Ms Bondurant shows us how Kenzie is growing into herself and finding out what it is that she is supposed to be doing with her life, standing up for herself, her love…and Colby, a man child, vulnerable and playboy, needing to grow up and stop hiding and take a stand… Ms Bondurant does not write about being perfect and having everything come easy, she writes about that we need to work for what we want and what we deserve! I guarantee that once you finish the third book you will continue to the rest of the series!

I love discovering new authors that become more than just a writer. I’ve realized that Virginia Wine has a beautiful way with words and creating a world where I can get lost within. I found myself loving everything about Surviving the Storm. I felt like I couldn’t let go of the characters, like I was experiencing everything that they were going through. And that, is what I love about reading. Having that beautiful experience that the author meant to do. I can’t wait to see where Wine takes this series, as this book was a definite 5 star for me.

Bree Kraemer’s The Only Series is a 5 book boxed set which includes: Only By His Touch, Only with Trust, If Only, Only You and Only for Love. This boxed set was amazing to read with the overlapping characters between the stories and the elaborate plots that they encompassed. I really liked how the author tied in the stories between books, characters, and all to create five separate stories, but each intertwined in their own ways. The female leads each had their own unique personalities that allowed you to keep them apart as you ventured between the stories, as well as, the male characters which were distinctly divine in their own rights. This story flowed with attraction, chemistry, and an loads of emotional journeys to embark upon. Absolutely loved!!

Surviving the Storm is the second book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This series should be read in order as characters from the first book are back in this book. Plus you will have the backstory for this great contemporary romance. Alex and Madison are both strong willed characters with character flaws. Will they learn to trust each other to fall in love. This book is full of romance, suspense, action and drama. Alex and Madison have such chemistry, they just need to work through all the secrets and lies. I love the follow-up in this book about Eden and Theo. This is a great series and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really, really enjoyed it. It didn’t take me long at all to become absorbed by the author easy to read writing style. There are some sensitive issues in the story but the author did a great job when writing about them. I really felt like she had taken the time to think about how to write about them which made it very realistic. I felt a real connection with Alice and I enjoyed reading about her. I liked Griffin too, I don’t think that he was quite what I was expecting and so it made him even more refreshing to read about. Overall I really enjoyed this story – it was a sweet romance filled with a little bit of angst along the way! I will definitely be looking to read more from this author again in the future.

Rising Star by Susannah Nix is an entertaining and fun story that had me falling in love with the characters with ease. For me this book was all about the characters – they were everything. Their banterous interactions were brilliant to witness. You could feel the connection between them and you couldn’t help but want them to find a way! The book had everything you could want – romance, fun, hotness and a dog! A thoroughly enjoyable book.

Rising Star is the first book that I have read by Susannah Nix and if this book is anything to go by, it won’t be the last of her books that I’ll read. As well as being a great romance novel, Susannah Nix tackles the sensitive subject of sexual harassment and she does it really well. TV extra and PhD student Alice Carlisle is going through a hard time. She’s struggling with her PhD due to the unwanted attention she’s getting from one of her tutors. Her tv extra job is coming to an end and her flatmate wants her out. Rising star Griffin Beach has a predicament, he needs a dog sitter while he’s away making his new film. Who better to do the job than Alice, an extra on his tv show who adores his dog, although he’s pretty sure that she doesn’t like him. I really loved both of these characters. In particular I loved how Alice dealt with the issue of unwanted attention from Dr Gilchrist. This issue was handled so well by the author. The insights into what is going through Alice’s head give you so much love and empathy for her character. Griffin is such a sweet guy and him and Alice are so awkward around each other at first as they both try to deny their growing attraction to each other. Although, being a guy, he does make a few mistakes, but hey, we can’t all be perfect. This is a book that I would definitely recommend to others.

This is the second book that I have read by this author an again I really enjoyed it. It’s not my favourite genre but I have really enjoyed finding a new genre to enjoy and I think P.A. Wikoff is a fantastic author and he has a great writing style which keeps my interest throughout. I really liked the characters and the detail in which the author had used enabled me to fully envisage what I was reading. Lara is a really interesting character and I really enjoyed following her story. There are some great twists and turns in the story and it is definitely full of action and fantasy. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

The Progeny Assassin: A Tarnished Lands story by P.A. Wikoff is the second book in the Forgotten Lands series. This book can be read separate to the first although in my opinion you will be missing out. It had been a while since I have read book 1 and I loved jumping back into the Tarnished Lands world. This author has a way of painting a picture so that it is so easy to imagine the characters and what is happening. This particular book is fast paced and intense. It feels like you are taken on a wild journey, right alongside Lara. It is adventurous and exciting and an all round enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend not just this book and series but also this author.

Tell Me Something is book 1 in the something series by Aubrey Bondurant. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was really impressed! I have been waiting a long time to find a book that had me completely hooked in this genre like this one did/ I think it’s safe to say I have found myself a new go to author and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series. This story covers some really sensitive issues and I thought that the author did an amazing job with the way in which she wrote about them. Due to the content of this book it is definitely for mature readers only! I loved the relationship between Haylee and Josh – they were definitely good for each other. The chemistry between them was off the charts and the sex scenes were HOT!! I suppose it did have a 50 shades feel about it but so do many of the books in this type of genre and it’s definitely not an issue for me as a reader. I thought the sex scenes were particularly well written! To be honest, there were times when the sex scenes were almost as raunchy as the kind of thing you might find on a website like watchmygirlfriend.porn! I liked Haylee’s character, for someone who has suffered such loss in her life she was strong in ways she didn’t know – it takes something to completely start again and have a fresh start. During the Christmas scenes I just wanted to give her a big hug, I can’t even imagine how you get through that by yourself! Josh was a tricky character for me; on one hand I LOVED him! I loved that he didn’t fit the typical alpha male, dominant character, he had his own insecurities and issues that he had to work through but I also got frustrated with him at times when it came to him admitting how he really felt about Haylee.
Ask Me Something is Sasha and Brian’s story. This is the second book in this series and I am as in love with this book as I was the first one. I love Sasha – she comes across as really independent but there’s still that small vulnerability especially when it comes to Brian. Over the 8 years she’s kept her feelings under wraps convincing herself that there’s nothing there just friendship and an easy flirty relationship! I love that she stands her own ground when it comes to her job to prove that woman can be just as powerful as men in the boardroom! Brian, oh Brian! He was so dreamy!! Although I did want to him to just man up and tell Sasha how he felt! He definitely fulfilled the alpha male/dominant role for me and more! I would have happily taken Sasha’s place on more than one occasion!! I liked that this was told from Sasha’s POV although I think I would have liked to have seen some parts from Brian’s POV even if we do get to hear from him in the epilogue. Again this story had some underlying issues that were explored and again they were really well written about. I think this is one thing I am coming to love about this author, amongst all the hot sex scenes are storylines that have a deeper meaning and they are beautifully written about.
Bet Me Something is book 3 in the fabulous Something series . This is the third book that I have read by this author and I can’t even describe how in love with this series I am and the characters that are in it! I love that the characters from the previous books are still in this one and you can still get glimpses into their lives and how they are progressing but it doesn’t take anything away from the story that you are reading – they are cleverly intertwined! I really like this authors writing style – her books are easy to read and have kept my interest from the beginning until the end. Bet Me Something is Makenzie and Colby’s story. The chemistry between these two was immense! Poor Kenzie she has liked Colby for so long and I loved that she took her chance when she had it! I really liked her character, I thought out of all the characters in the story she grew the most and by the end of the story she had become a lot stronger and stood up for herself. Like in the other stories it took me a while to warm to the male character in this instance Colby, he was another great alpha male but he frustrated more than the others – although by the end I loved him! The struggle for him was different because he felt like he was betraying his best friend, Brian, by being attracted and wanting his younger sister.

Virginia Wine has become my new favorite author! I absolutely love this story. Alexander Kincaid Storm III! Wow! I love characters who start out as jerks, who are really just confused and lost. You know those characters that don’t know what they are missing.
Madison Perry is the female main character and doesn’t want to follow her heart. She too is confused and lost. I love these two characters, their adventure, the way they handled the situation throw at them.
I am looking forward to reading more from Wine and recommend that you start reading her too!

This is an amazing Collection of Romance, Fantasy, Contemporary Romance, Second Chance, Paranormal & Suspense stories. There is literally something for everyone. I read them all and loved them. My favorites were No Place Like Home by Stephanie Morris which is the story of Tabitha looking for a new start on life and love who decides to work on a cattle ranch. She meets Aiden who has been hurt severely and is looking to heal, will they both let down their guard to learn to love and trust again? Such a great story. I also really enjoyed Christmas for Two by Kris Jayne. Its the story of Delilah who used to work for Griffin and he contacts her to come back to work for him or does he want more? Such a fun workplace romance! Take the time to read this collection and you won’t be disappointed.

Fatal Legislation: A Novel: Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 2 By Ellen Butler
The author did an amazing job pulling me into this book of suspense, mystery, danger, and funny antics. I loved reading this story, once I started I couldn’t put it down till I found out what happened. This book really makes you think…could this really happen? Why can’t Karina seem to keep herself out of trouble? I love that her character is so inquisitive, but she also listens to advice most of the time anyway. This is definitely a book you won’t want to miss!! This book can be read as a standalone, but my suggestion is to read the first book because it is awesome, but also because there are some references to things that happened in the first book and you will have a better knowledge of some of the characters. I highly recommend this book, it is a great read!

It was a good book!! It’s an edge of the seat page turner. Your boyfriend has to investigate a murder that you’re the prime suspect. You will never want to pot this fast paced, well written book down. The authors passion for this mystery shows through with each sentence written in this book. Is there more cuz I wanna read more!! Definitely read this book you won’t be sorry.

The Progeny Assassin: A Tarnished Lands Story by P.A. Wikoff is the second book in the Forgotten Woods series. Though each book can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading Book 1, The Harrowed Half-Breed, first. Just like book 1 this book is incredibly detailed, so detailed in fact that it felt as if I was right beside Lara during her journey of self-discovery.
This storyline is dark, twisted, captivating, entertaining and action-packed. I was captivated from the very beginning until the end.
If you’re looking for a one of a kind fantasy read look no further!

I am such a fan of India Kells that I always jump at the chance to read her work, and this book is a great reason why! This book is dark, twisted, steamy, intense, action-packed and romantic all at the same time. Everything I love in a romance read!
Right from the get-go I was hooked, this storyline captivated me and had me on my toes the whole way through. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next steamy romance read!

The story was very hard for me to get Into. There is so much narrative. I struggled to focus on the story. I found myself reading through a haze at times. It does get more exciting about half way. For some reason I really couldn’t get into Lara’s story. I didn’t even realize she is the assassin until she keeps killing. Her Master disappears and Lara goes on a quest for find her. On her way she runs into different feathered folk and humans. Some she likes and others she doesn’t. She learns a few things about herself as the story moves forward. The character Lara actually seemed like a good character. I could see her growth as the story went on. This is the second in the series. I feel it could be read as a stand alone but it might be more enjoyable if read in series order.

The Mother-in-Law by Judy Moore is a suspense thriller novel that would be more aptly titled monster-in-law. This book is the perfect poster child for why you should never marry someone that you haven’t known more than a month. Which is exactly what Victoria does. Too her it was a fairy tale; she found true love and put a ring on it as fast as she could. But not all fairy tales have a happy ending, especially if there’s an estranged mother-in-law. This was slow thriller book. It took a long time for suspense to build and motivations to be revealed, which after a while began to drag. I wish there was more suspense to this book, and there was more of a payoff in the end. A lot of the chapters felt as though they were acting as fillers to make the book chunkier, and didn’t add anything to the plot. Especially when comparing this book to Judy Moore’s Murder in the Vail, which had me hooked from the very beginning. In the end I found that I had no real connection to any of the characters, and their relationships didn’t affect me. Which truly is a shame, as I fell in love with the premise of the story, thinking I was in for book filled to the brim with suspense, but instead it all fell flat for me. I still loved the writing, and level of detail that went into in the book, as well as thought the idea was very creative, it just could have been executed a bit better. Alas, I still look forward to reading more from Judy Moore in the future.

The Memory of Us is a second chance story written by Lisa Sorbe. It is a tale of a rekindled romance between Elena and Weston. They knew each other their whole lives and were the best of friends. Until they became more. Events had them not seeing each other for years, only to meet again.
This story is light, even though it deals with loss and moving on. The author has a way of softening the blow, for lack of a better word. So even though it is really sad, your focus becomes the two leading characters and of course, the somewhat humorous and eccentric secondary characters. I understood each character in a semi detached way, but that in no way detracts from the high quality of this author’s work. It is a busy time and I could not give the book the complete attention it deserved, but I thoroughly enjoyed their story and the enigmatic writing style this author demonstrates. 4 stars.

The Confectioner’s Truth Confectioner Chronicles Book 3 Claire Luana 4 out of 5 stars
As I likely mentioned in my reviews of the first two books in this trilogy, this series is meant to be read in sequential order. Each book ties in well with the storyline of the book before it, picking up where we left off. I really enjoyed this series as a whole, I don’t read this genre too often but every now and then a book will catch my eye. The Confectioner’s Chronicles truly surpassed my expectations, I enjoyed the series from each cover to the conclusion. There was never a shortage of excitement, twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Wren was a great character with depth and I enjoyed seeing the character progression throughout the series. It’s difficult to share the aspects of this book I really enjoyed without running the risk of spoiling anything. That being said, I felt like the Confectioner’s Truth wrapped up the Chronicles very well and I wasn’t left disappointed. Claire Luana has crafted must read series for sure!
