This was a really sweet romance read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I had a feeling I would enjoy the story as the blurb interested me and within a few pages I could tell it was my kind of read. I really loved the characters, Shay and Matt. They were both down to earth people and had this great realistic feel about them. They are the kind of characters who you can’t help but like straight away and end up rooting for them the whole way through. So I could see how the story could be a little predictable however I still loved it. I thought the authors’ writing was good – it was a perfect easy to read small town romance story. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Killmore by Martha Sweeney is the first book in her new series, Killmore. Categorized as a romantic suspense book I fell hard for this book and couldn’t bring myself to put it down until the very end. Getting to see a strong female lead character who also happens to be beautiful and complex really made this a great read. Antonio Herrera is sarcastic, snarky, realistic, ruthless, and best of all protected by the Feds. The Feds are more than willing to look the other way about her dealings with drugs and human trafficking as long as she is willing to play ball with them. But Antonio has always had a hard time trusting those around her when it comes to her business dealings. While the Feds offer sounds good, is it too good to be true? Will she be able to keep those around her safe? How much danger is Antonio in with the Feds? Sweeney is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this story up. The banter between the characters, will leave you smiling and fall out laughing at their antics. The steam in this book will curl your toes and blush your cheeks as well. I highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a great story. I can’t wait to see where Sweeney takes her readers in the future with this series.

Courage (The Sisterhood Series Book 2) By Chelsi Arnold 4 Stars
This book is the second in the series and I highly recommend reading book one before picking this one up. It is a military action adventure series based in the future about four women as they navigate their lives in and out of the war. The characters in this book are fantastic. They’re strong opinionated women that you know you would love in real life. I laugh and I cried in a few parts of this book and I felt like I was there right alongside them for the ride! I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend! Review by Anastasia D.

This story is about courage, strength, bravery, and honor. This group of women are like family and would do anything for each other. Born to Fight is the first book in the Can’t Resist You series by Brittany Anne. This is my first novel by this author.
Rain lives in an a bunker alone and quite content with her routine for the past two years until she helps a man who is bloody and in need of medical attention.
Hunter Kane, a Resistance soldier is hurt while trying to protect a women from being attacked. When unconscious for a few days, her voice pierced through his thoughts and makes him to want to wake up to see her.
After nursing him back to health, Rain, feels a bond with Hunter but both don’t want to get to close to each other for different reasons. Can Hunter, the soldier born to kill find something he wants more or will Rain’s secret tear them apart.
I didn’t think I was going to like the dystopian setting but I really enjoyed the dark and gritty world it was set in.
I loved the characters and how the story unfolds and the secrets the main characters were hiding.
I hope the next story is Kayla and Sawyer. Definitely felt some chemistry there.

5 Star Across From You By Amabel Daniels is a wonderfully written romantic comedy that I had a hard time putting down once I started reading. This is Lexi and Jack’s story. Lexi is a woman who has sworn off men and is trying to guard her heart But then she meets Jack. Jack is looking for love and can’t stop thinking about her. Will she give Jack a chance to win her heart?can he convince her that he wants a relationship with her? Will these two get their HEA? I highly recommend reading this book especially if you want to know what happens next .I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is a story for the books. Have you ever had to fight for your life? To know that every second could be your last? Leia knows too much and is being pulled from both sides. One side wants to use her the other wants her dead. The story was intense and thrilling. I was sitting up straight waiting for what was to come. The suspense was killer. To live in fear but to also have e strength to say that you will fight for your life. There was so much sadness and heartbreak. But also courage and bravado. The author developed the characters well. This is Hunter’s and Rain’s story. This couple is facing a ton of adversity. Rain is stronger than knows and brave. Hunter has faced his own traumas, but with the support of his chosen brothers, he has become a force to overcome oppression. Love was never to be part of their story, but they found each other and must fight for each other. I very much loved Rain and Hunter as well as their story. I also loved meeting Hunter’s brothers and members of their community. It has pulled me into the story, and I cannot wait for more of this series! I very recommend it!

Killmore by Martha Sweeney. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I flipping loved it! I can’t wait to read the next one! Its the story of Laurie whose husband works for a Major Mexican Crime Lord and is very abusive to Laurie until she becomes Antonio Herrera’s ( Crime Lord) girl! He forbids her husband to touch Laurie and she pleases Antonio in any way that she can. There is also the problem of Laurie being used by the Feds helping them to take down Antonio. Laurie ends up going into the Witness Protection program and moves off to a small town to run a small restaurant. She stays pretty closed off only letting very few people in until Aiden moves to town. There are immediate sparks between them but she’s scared to trust anyone. She still lives in fear of Antonio finding her. Will she let go and trust Aiden or will she play it safe and stay to herself. This book was so good and I can’t wait to read the next one!
Great conclusion to the build up of Aless’s life as a mafia princess! This is book 3 with characters from the first 2 books in the My Life Series. This series is also a prequel series to the Brothers of Camelot series.
This book was easy to read even while I was holding my breath as to what could happen next. I really expected more from Capo/Papa, the jerk face, however I am sure we haven’t heard the last from him. I love how Aless’ men follow her, protect her and really have her back when times got tough.
When Aless goes to make her big move I wasn’t really sure about how easily she made friends at the hotel, but as you can see with the 5 stars, it worked! That was just a lot of trust to put in people she really didn’t know.
I can not wait to see what else Navone has in store for these characters! I can recommend this book but only after you have read the first two, but then after you do, you’ll recommend it to yourself!

Necie Navone is going to be an author to follow as she did an AMAZING job with this series. She understood the way the Italian Family works. Her characters are real and believable. It is like Alssandra could be a best friend. This story is a fast, action packed, and mystery rolled into a three-book series.
In the last installment of My Life Series, we find that Alessandra has really blossomed into the young lady who is only 20 years old. Alessandra has had a lot of things happen to her in her short life. The fact that she is in Italy and is the Head of the Family requires a lot of knowledge about the working of the family and the “business”. Alessandra has proven that she can lead the family and now it is time for her to shine. Will it be enough for Alessandra or will she have to dig deeper down and bring more to the table?

This story is a novella in the Darling Cove series and I would recommend reading the other stories in the series to get to know the characters better. Faith and Greg are struggling with everyday life as a married couple. The secrets that lie in the shadows threaten to tear their family apart. When they find our that they are expecting, things are happy but they cant help but stress. That stress causes Faith to have complications and go into early labor. Will a Christmas miracle save this family? Or will they be torn apart? I thought this was a good novella to added to the series and i was happy to see how all of the couple were doing. Deadly Alliance: A Fortis/Purgatory Crossover Novel by Maddie Wade & India Kells a four-star read that will push you. What a great crossover, you can read one of the series, both or neither and you will still get something out of this story. The story is strong from the first page, you will be kept guessing at every turn and the drama is full on, Emme and Shane are so compelling to read. Despite all the twists within the story the overall was a little underwhelming but the drama during kept it up, so you may think you know where it will end, but you won’t know how you get there.

This sounded like a woman writing in her journal. The boom to me seemed like someone giving thanks for all they have been going through and what is to come. The main focus was finding the brighter things in life. To turn a awful situation into something positive. It’s to look in front of you instead of behind you. To take the ordinary and make something extraordinary. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

What an interesting character name Denim. This was just a short read so we could get a feel of who Denim was. I really like this character. He is a crime boss’s son but he has such a giving and caring soul. He dies what he can for people. You can really tell that he cared for those around him. I don’t know what it is about bad boys that women fall for. We know they’re no good but we just can’t resist them. I feel like Denim is going to be that character that will stay with me for life. We all have book boyfriends and Denim is shaping up to be a good one. He is someone that I wouldn’t want to anger though. The relationship with his brother is so strained. I doesn’t like how outwardly prejudice his mom was. Overall I’m excited to see what way the author takes Denims story. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

COURAGE is the second book in The Sisterhood Story. While I think this could be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading book 1 – BRAVE – first so you have a bit of background on The Sisterhood.
This is a series of female Navy Seals in battle. While book 1 seemed like a prediction of the future, COURAGE takes recent events and with a few twists and turns makes it fictional. The world is a scary place.
This story pulled so many emotions out, from laughter to heart break and grief to awe at the bond of friendship. It is superbly written and once again it feels like the author has first hand knowledge of being in the military.
I will continue to stalk the author for new additions to the series.
If I could rate higher than five stars, this would be a book I would do that with.

Embattled Hearts was a good 4 star read and the first book in the Lost and Found series.
There are some things you can’t change in life, who you’re related to, taxes, the nasty boss you’d like to shove off a roof. And you can’t choose who you’re attracted to.
Shannon is hired on to work at LNF Investigative Services. And when she meets John sparks fly between them. John doesn’t think that he has a chance with Shannon, why would she want a guy like him?(broke my heart) John is struggling with his injuries suffered from being in the Marines. He isn’t able to go out into the field like the other detectives and hates it.
When Shannon’s safety is at risk due to a stalker, John offers to stay with her for protection. Will they find out who the stalker is? Will they give in to their attraction?
You’re the first person I’ve ever been with who doesn’t make me want to shoot somebody out of boredom -John
My emotions were all over the place, with some teary eyed moments. I feel these two were meant for each other and you could feel their connection on so many levels. The secondary characters were great and I was very happy with the ending. The struggles that John went through trying to deal with his injuries is exactly what alot of our military go through everyday. To have this in a story brought some realism to it, kudos to J.M. Embattled Hearts is the first in a series and I honestly couldn’t put it down. I was surprised it was book one, as I felt like I know these characters already. I don’t know if that makes sense but they were just so complex, personality wise, and developed. Anyways, John is an abrupt and grumpy guy, he has some self esteem issues to work through and can be kind of a bear. Shannon mostly rolls with it, though, and I feel like the fact that she communicates so well is ultimately what helps them get through anything. It was interesting to see the struggles people can go through after getting hurt in the military, but also how they can form a commeradery. There was the suspense element to this book, as well, and a mystery of who is doing these things and why. All around, I found it enjoyable and look forward to the rest of the stories.

Deadly Alliance is a crossover of Fortis and Purgatory. I haven’t read any of the Purgatory books but I’ve read a few Fortis books and loved them. They are action packed, with a tight knit team who all have awesome skills. This has the same vibe. There’s also always a love story, and this time it’s Emme and Shane. They are from opposite ends of the world but are together to bring down a bad guy. Of course posing as a married couple will bring two people together, and add in some serious attraction and you get fireworks! This book was fast paced, suspenseful, and sometimes shocking. I wonder where the author will lead us all next?

Getting the Goods by Elizabeth Perry is wonderful romantic comedy. I laughed a lot through this story as the banter, quips and antics were quite hilarious. Ms. Perry is a ‘new-to-me’ author who I will now be following quite closely, after reading this fantastic story! Gabriella Martin may only be 29 years old, but her biological clock has been ticking quite loudly. She would love nothing more than to become a mother. So, with her window of opportunity to fall pregnant closing up quite quickly, and also as she hasn’t got a man in her life and doesn’t have enough time to allow nature to take its course- she and her best friend hatch a desperate plan that they hope will result with a ‘bun-in-the-oven’. Their scheme involves picking up a sexy stranger, seducing them and then making off with the ‘goods’ before he’s any wiser. Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans… because things certainly don’t go according to plan for Gabriella’s heist. Sure, the stranger was entirely sexy, and the sex was off-the-charts HOT- but then fumbles when she gets ‘caught’ making off with the ‘goods’. Panic sets in and Sophie takes off, vowing to never try that ploy again- and thankful that she’ll never see his face again. But never say never, right? Because come Monday morning Sophie discovers that he’s now the new owner of the company she works for. #Mortified. How is she supposed to work with this man knowing him so intimately, plus the fact that he knows what she tried to do. But when he needs her help to get the company back on track, bargains are made that will change both their lives forever! This is such a witty, funny and romantic story- with just enough drama to keep things interesting. The story had more depth than I was expecting, with emotive scenes that were sweet and tender. But there are some serious sparks between them too- with makes for great reading! I hope this isn’t the last we hear/see of these characters, because I also want to know what happens with Carter, and with Maria- and PLEASE Ms. Perry, don’t leave Alexandria with Cal the AH! She needs her own HEA story, too!!!! I will definitely be looking out for Ms. Perry’s next book!

Five Stars Short, sweet and to the point. We get to catch up with one of our favorite couples from Darling Cove. Embattled Hearts is the first book in the Lost and Found Series by J.M Madden. This is my first read by Ms. Madden and I am happy to say that after reading this story, it definitely won’t be my last. Ms. Madden writes an engaging, emotive and romantic wounded warrior/military romance that was not only believable- but inspiring and meaningful as well. There is much more to this great story than the beautiful romance. Thee is suspense, danger, action, camaraderie, brotherhood, drama, chemistry, and some hot, steamy scenes that will leave you hot under the collar. John Palmer was badly injured in Iraq, which ended his Military career and changed his life forever. John has become quite bitter and angry, and has spent the past 5 years trying to pick up the pieces of his life and move on. With his two friends from his military days, Chad and Duncan, they open Lost ‘N’ Found Investigation Services. When they hire a new office manager, John feels wants her so badly- but his disability has left him feeling like ‘less’ of a man and he really doesn’t feel like he has anything to offer her. Shannon Murphy has had a crush on her boss since meeting him six months earlier. He may be angry and grumpy, but she finds him entirely sexy. But when strange things start happening and danger seems to be stalking her, it’s John she looks to for help. What ensues makes for avid reading! I applaud the fact that while Ms. Madden depicts some sensitive issues, she does so in compassionate and respectful way, whilst also highlighting the hardships faced by wounded warriors and veterans. The obstacles that they face not only to recover from any injury, but also in having to carry the memories of their experiences with them, as well. It’s not just the physical scars/wounds, but mental and emotional ones too that are a little more difficult to deal with. Going from proud, able bodied Marine- to having a life changing injury such as John’s, takes a lot of adjustment- physically and mentally. The pride is still there, as is the sense of responsibility and expectation- and being looked at or treated differently is not easy to get over. This story brings a lot of these issues into focus, as Ms. Madden gives us a glimpse into the toll that has on a soldier and the sacrifices they make for their country- as well as a little of what they endure when things go awry while in service. The story was also quite romantic, and I loved the connection between Shannon and John. I love that she saw past John’s disability and found him to be virile and sexy despite it all. Ms. Madden crafts wonderful characters- giving them strengths, but also not shying away from giving them some vulnerability, depicting them in a very honest way. Ms. Madden’s story is so well written, realistic, believable, very emotive and entirely captivating.

Madden – Review by Angela Hayes
Once Upon A Romance is the first in A Dream Come True Series by Alex Bailey. I love a Christmas romance, so when I saw this pop up on my recommended feed, I snapped it up. The thing I most love about this book, is the way the Ms. Bailey interweaves the love of all things Disney, with the magic of Christmas- whilst also showing a heartfelt and tender romance. This is your quintessential ‘feel-good’, and romantic Christmas story. One with all the wonder, charm and emotion I adore about Christmas stories. Ms. Bailey writes beautifully- creating wonderful quirky characters that I would love to call friends, and explore the theme parks with. She was also easily able to capture the magic of the season, and I loved the minute attention to detail that makes this story come alive. Sophie O’Connor loves her job working for a large publishing firm as a text book editor. She is dedicated, focused and organised. She is still coming to terms with the death of her beloved sister, 10 months earlier, and is devoted to her eight-year-old niece, Ariel. With Christmas fast approaching, she is determined to make it as special as she can for Ariel, as it is the first Christmas without her mother. But when she finds out what it is that Ariel wishes for, Sophie fears she won’t be strong enough to see it through. Ariel wants to spend Christmas day at Disney World, riding her mother’s favourite amusement ride. Sophie’s sister, Natalie, was a huge Disney fan and adored everything Disney- and so did their parents. Sophie, not so much, plus add the fact that Disney would hold so many memories of her sister, and Sophie wasn’t relishing the idea of spending time there. But this was Ariel’s special Christmas wish- so Sophie was determined to make it come true in every way. But what happens when a fairly straight-laced, non-Disney Aunt has to contend with a fun-loving, and imaginative little Disney-aficionado? She might need a little help- which comes in the form of a fun-loving, Disney devotee- Ray Bueno- who adds a little magic to their Disney experience and helps to fill the hole that the loss of her sister left in her heart. Holiday Romance at its best!!

Deadly Alliance was a great 5 star read. This was a great collaboration from these two authors, I was excited to read it.
Shane is on a mission to find the serial killer who is responsible for the death of his best friends sister. The killer seems to be targeting women who all have the same look to them. Emme happens to have the look that could possibly draw the killer out. She joins Shane’s team to portray his wife undercover.
It looked like a convention for the deadly and sexy. Jesus, not one person in the room was ugly, far from it they were all gorgeous. – Emme
These two have such a great chemistry between them, you can feel the heat coming off the pages. They are both very strong characters that I loved immensely. They just clicked in so many ways. Will they be able to find the killer before he strikes again? Will they keep things professional or give in to their attraction?
We get suspense, mystery, drama, danger and so much more. I was on the edge of my seat flying through the pages to see what was coming next. There are some great twists and secrets that added great elements to the story. The secondary characters added a great element to the story, it’s like one big family when they are together. If your looking for a great read, this is the one for you. I look forward to reading more from Maddie and India.
Courage (The Sisterhood Series) By Chelsi Arnold. I for one absolutely love this series. Once again the author tells a story that’s both different and very moving. I recommend reading these books in order for all the back story. The characters are complex and believable, and oh so easy to connect with. I love the time spent with these wonderful characters. The emotions written into the storyline are definitely meant to be felt soul deep. This sisterhood is one of the greatest group of women I’ve ever gotten to read. The storyline is well written and paced nicely. It had me turning the pages as fast as possible and completely hooked from page one. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.

Courage (The Sisterhood Series) Chelsi Arnold 5 out of 5 stars
Courage is the second book in Chelsi Arnold’s Sisterhood series. It is a continuation of the first novel, Brave so I would recommend reading Brave first for the background and a solid foundation. For the second time I am thoroughly impressed by Chelsi Arnold’s strong writing, she has the ability to make the reader feel like they are right in the midst of the action and as though each character is one of their closest friends. I am equally as impressed with the strength of each of the women in this book. I have not read many military novels but I love how unique this series feels. So many books focus on the males in the military, it isn’t as often we see a well crafted story from the female perspective. I like that the series is set a bit in the future and is entirely realistic and thought provoking. If I were to describe Courage in one word it would truly be strong. Strong plot, strong writing, strong women, strong bond. I have loved the Sisterhood series thus far and look forward to more from Chelsi Arnold.

Must Be Crazy ( Darling Cove Book 3 ) By Deborah Garland 5/5 Stars
I truly can not say enough wonderful things about this series!! If you’re a sucker , ( like myself ) for a romantic love story with a happily ever after… this book ( and series ) is for you!! Being a single mother, I do have a soft spot for single parents! Especially single father’s … wow, I’m not sure what it is.. but it’s a weakness of mine!! I absolutely looooove a romance love story, with a few twists and turns. Trust me, once you start reading this book… you will NOT be able to put it down!! Sky and Edward meet in an unconventional way… but immediately sparks fly. Is their love worth fighting for? You gotta read this book to find out!! You won’t be disappointed at all!! Another outstanding job, Deborah! I can’t wait to see what’s next!!
