Across From You by Amabel Daniels is a fantastic Rom-Com read! From the very first chapter I was hooked. Lexi’s personality had me laughing out loud as her inner ramblings went from one thought to another. This book is non stop go, intriguing, funny, entertaining and a true page-turner. It’s the perfect book to read when you need an escape from the real world!
I really enjoyed how well the story flowed, even with the dual POV’s! Amabel wrote with so much detail that made it easy to picture everything playing out in my mind and I feel like I could read about her for hours! I would love to read more about her!
This is a book I would recommend to others and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Across From You is a fun, romantic standalone novel. Written in alternating points-of-view, we follow Lexi and Jack after they meet during a compromising situation. In your typical tale of miscommunication, hilarity ensues from the very beginning despite Lexi’s obvious embarrassment at recent life events. This book is relatable, funny and just all-around loveable. A must read for any contemporary romance fans!
Lexi Regan is not having much luck. Having been the victim of a horrendous romantic blunder, the last she wants to think about is men. What happens next? She’s faced, literally, with a naked, hot, sexy man during a one-off art class she attends with her best friend. Cue hilarious flirting. I was laughing out loud at Lexi’s mixture of embarrassment and intrigue, which only became more hilarious when we found out her surprising connection to the mystery model. The author timed this miscommunication perfectly, not dragging it on too long so that I got both bored and annoyed. One of my biggest issues with romance reads is when this type of scenario is dragged out for over half of the book; just get on with it! We didn’t have too long to wait until Jack O’Connor is revealed to Lexi which just made things all the more interesting!
Jack is a fantastic male lead. While he has some of the stereotypical traits (a sexy man in uniform is always a win for me), in many ways he isn’t so typical. This made him a really complex character, which is always fun to read. The connection him and Lexi have is both instant and deep, and only strengthens over the course of the book. They had their ups and downs and there were some seriously emotional moments, which rounded off the book perfectly.
Overall, Across From You hits the romance-crave so many of us have. It is not only a really good story, but also packed full of wonderful characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and cannot wait to try more of the author’s work. This will definitely be on my recommendation list!

Embattled Hearts by J.M. Madden is the first book in the Lost and Found series. This is clearly the start of what will be a great series. I do love reading a good military romance, especially when the H is injured in some way. So right from the start this book ticked a couple of boxes for me. Then throw in some interesting characters who worked well together. You could feel the attraction between them. Top it off with a well written and well thought out story line and you know you are in for a trolling ride. I have read books by this author previously but this one is the one that probably caught my interest the easiest. It was full of action and kept the plot interesting from start to finish. A great book and I can’t wait to see what else is to come from this series.

Courage (The Sisterhood Series) by Chelsi Arnold is an action packed ride and keeps you intrigued right to the very last page. We normally only read stories of men in war and how good they are so it was a refreshing take to read about these wonderful women doing just as good a job. I enjoyed Chelsi’s storytelling and how she instilled so much depth and character to this group of strong, sweet, sassy and ready for action women. I absolutely loved their banter and craziness as it showed their depth of feelings for one another, their family. The action starts from the very beginning and does not stop. The twists and turns made my head spin and the action and mayhem was so palpable you could feel it with every pump of your heart. This is one great story that should not be missed and an honour to the women and men who fight our wars. Good job Chelsi!

Killmore by Martha Sweeney is an action packed ride and keeps you intrigued right to the very last page. I enjoy Martha’s storytelling and how she effortlessly lets the words flow keeping you engrossed to know more. The depth of the characters and their world make the story that more believable. The sexual tension between the main characters is prevalent right from their first meeting. Laurie is a feisty and determined woman, she has had to learn to be and letting anyone in to her life is not on the cards. I absolutely loved their banter and craziness as Aidan tries to make her his. The twists and turns sometimes made my head spin but in a good way and I know there is so much more to come to this story. I can not wait for the next installment, The Killmores, I know the journey will be great.
Degrees of Acceptance (A Prestian Series Book 2) by Via Mari is the second book in the series and is a suspense erotic romance story. This book should not be read as a standalone because you will not have all the information about the characters and their world behind you. I really liked the first book but am in two minds about this one. The writing style in this book didn’t quite grab me, it didn’t feel as easy to read. The story line was interesting, I enjoyed but I found myself wanting to smack Kate sometimes because she felt much more naive in this book and made things harder than need be and it frustrated me no end. That aside, it is a an emotional read with lots of action and danger, secrets and mystery that will keep you intrigued to know what is going to happen.

A Must For Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella by Deborah Garland is yet another wonderful addition to the stories of the Mallory’s. Deborah has written another beautiful but heart wrenching novella with A Must For Christmas. I am in love with the characters from this series and feel personally invested in each and every one of them. So if they hurt, I hurt. If they are sad I am sad and let me tell you there were plenty of times I had a good sob. However, there were also some moments that were pure joy.
Faith and Greg have been through so much to get where they are today, but could all be lost in the blink of an eye? Fear like they have never known is now front and center, with no time for second guessing. Now because of two little men their lives are forever changed.
Deborah’s stories are so vivid and rich and I am always happy to read her work. It is effortless and written with love. Her stories should not be missed.

Degrees of Control is book three in the Prestian series by Via Mari. This series is high energy drama and suspense and often left me on the edge of my seat, anticipating the next move. It is such an interactive series for me, and one that just keeps getting more thrilling, more passionate, more suspenseful.
Katarina wants it all but has trust issues. Frustration was what I felt when she became difficult. Chase is the alpha who is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it, so he has to make adjustments and seems to handle it a little better than Kate. Their lives are certainly not dull, which makes for action aplenty, and many nail biting, hair raising moments. Just what I crave in a romance.
Via Mari has excelled again. This author drags out so many feels, readers may need a little rest to reflect after each story. 5 stars.

A Must For Christmas is a Darling Cove Novella by Deborah Garland. It follows on exactly where Must Be Crazy left off. Although this novella could be read as a standalone, you will have much more enjoyment if you have read the 3 previous books. This is a fantastic series and I would encourage anyone considering it to jump in and enjoy. Must be Crazy left us on Skye and Edward’s wedding night with Faith going into premature labour with her and Greg’s twin boys. This novella was action packed from the very first page with Faith going into labour and kept me on the edge of my seat right to the very end in the hope that all would turn out ok. This novella brings back all members of the Mallory family who had gained our hearts in the first 3 books as they come together to celebrate Skye and Edward’s wedding then spend Christmas together, only to be thrown into turmoil when Faith has complications and goes into premature labour, leaving her life in the balance. This novella will take you through a roller coaster of emotions as Deborah Garland is an amazing storywriter, giving us amazing characters to fall in love with. I’m praying that this novella is not the end of the Darling Cove Series.

Embattled Hearts is the first book in the Lost and Found series by J.M. madden. This is the first book I have read by J.M. Madden, but definitely won’t be the last. This military romance is full of mystery and suspense. I love the concept of the Lost ‘N’ Found Investigative Service and look forward to reading more stories by these brave men. John and Shannon both work for the Lost ‘N’ Found Group, so when Shannon has a situation with a stalker it only makes sense for John to stay with her until the situation is taken care of. The chemistry between the two is off the charts, but John will have to overcome some of his insecurities. This fast paced book is full of twists and turns, and I just couldn’t put it down until the end. If you like military, romance or suspense this is the book for you.

From beginning to end this book and series held my attention and captured my heart. Necie Navone does an amazing job with these books further establishing characters we are introduced to in the Brothers of Camelot. I loved all of these characters and the universe that this series delved into and explored. Amazing development. I felt every single emotion deeply. Cannot wait to read these books again.

Never Let Me Fall Fatal Dreams book 3 by Abbie Roads Five Stars I am in shocked and a little sick. This story was unbelievable. The thought of living a life like Helen and Thomas lived is frightening. To always be afraid and wondering when it would end. Thomas’s childhood was so depressing and to think that about what his stepfather had planned for him. It made my stomach churn just thinking about it. The author did a great job writing this story. It was suspenseful, painful and in some ways beautiful. The bond between Helen and Thomas grew and was a thing to behold. The moment he realized he could heal her and set to just that was the moment I knee this book was a keeper.

Imperfect Heart (Combat Hearts Book 4) By Tarina Deaton I have loved reading this series and this book is no different!! This author had become one of my favorites, I have truly enjoyed reading every story and have become invested in each of these wonderful characters. I am so glad to see that the characters from the other books make appearances in each story. Zoe and Tim’s story is heartwarming, hilarious and so much more. Zoe is a strong and independent woman who finds herself in embarrassing situations whenever her hot neighbor Tim is around. I found myself not only smiling but actually laughing out loud at times. They have both been hurt in the past and are apprehensive about having someone in their life. If you want to read an awesome romantic story and find out what happens between these two, this is a must read! I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

This collection of stories was a perfect way to introduce me to new authors. I’m not much of a science fiction fan but these stories still held my attention and I enjoyed them a lot. Each story gives readers complex and believable characters and the authors do an amazing job with all the details in each one. The stories while short still pack a punch and have you turning those pages pretty fast. With drama, action and even romance what more do you need? These stories had me completely hooked on this anthology. Looking for something a bit different from your “normal “ reading give this collection a try and you’ll be pleasantly surprised I bet. Im giving this collection a four star review and highly recommend it.

Deadly Alliance is a crossover novel, bridging Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security series and India Kells’ Women of Purgatory series. I have read every single book in both of these series! I have been a convert ever since I finished the first book, if I remember correct then I read India Kells’ series first and then stumbled onto Maddie Wade and her Fortis Security series and the rest is a history … I keep track of the new releases in my Google calendar …. We have Shane Rhodes from the Fortis team and Emme Wallace from Purgatory team and they end up going undercover as a married couple to take down a serial killer. One of the victims is Shane’s best friend’s little sister so you can imagine what it all means to him! It is amazing how these two writers have been able to merge their writing styles to create one mind-blowing story willed with action, twists, laughter and tears … At no point was I able to say who had written what part …. I hope that there will be some more crossovers as this one has left at least me panting for more!

5-Star Compilation!
This novel is composed of multiple short stories that are action packed and contain many wonderful characters. Each story was easy to follow and get lost in. My favorite story out of the entire book was Heart of The Cat. I loved the main characters Trescina and Walkyr. Both were not of the human species but found themselves on earth. I enjoyed reading several of the other stories. My second favorite is probably Starway with Nikka, Danyel, Star, and Koi. It was short and full of excitement! I was amazed with all the amazing authors contributions to this book.

The Darling Cove Series is set in a town called Darling Cove, the North Fork of Long Island and features a cast of characters who are family by choice and by blood. I would recommend reading the other stories in this series to get to know the personalities featured in this novella.
I was super excited when I saw this story was about Greg and Faith. I was curious as to what they were up to for Christmas. This story is quick, emotional and layered. It was deeper than the traditional Christmas novella and I enjoyed it.
I would recommend this story, this series, and this author.

I just love dragon shifter books. This was also a new author and series for me. I was not disappointed! This is yet another wonderful twist on the legend of King Arthur. The author’s writing style and story are so unique and refreshing.
The whole chemistry between Nathaniel and Chloe is just electric. I felt as though I was Chloe and went through all the feelings and emotions as she did. I really liked the fated mates bit. I found that I was just glued to the pages to see what would happen. I was definitely on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Chloe would decide and how it would all end. The emotions and affects of being fated mates brought so much to the book. The fact that there are seven more brothers brings so much to how the series will move on and I cannot wait. This first book is such a great starting point of this series and I cannot wait to see how the remaining stories unfold. I definitely will be reading more of this series and from this author.
Killmore is all that and them some in the realm of suspenseful, action, and romance category. Martha Sweeney puts out that lure and once you bite and swallow that lure you are hooked and you will be fighting throughout the book until the end. But wait there is more, book two that you will want to read to get to the conclusion of the story. That is all the information you will get for book two. Now back to book one, this story is about Laurie and Aiden. Laurie has been put into witness protection. She has walls built up and is not ready to put them down as of yet. Aiden is on the FBI team that wants Laurie’s assistance as she is an asset to that case. Will Laurie assist Aiden in the case? Will Aiden get Laurie to break some of the walls and see some of the positive side of Aiden? Only time will tell.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss By: Allyson R. Abbott 5 out of 5 stars
The story A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful holiday romance book that I loved reading. I found myself lost in the pages and feeling the magic and spirit of Christmas. I loved the character of Emma Louise Fallon or aka “Elf.” Elf’s plans for the holiday are changed when her girlfriend suddenly is not able to come to the cabin they were going to vacation at. She decides to still go to the cabin as planned and spend time on her own. What she doesn’t expect is how much work it will be in order to keep warm and maintain. When she stops in town she believes and has suspicions as to who a couple is that she meets and then there is Rudi, the part-time veterinarian, and cop, who she finds very attractive. What does this Christmas season hold for Elf? Will she spend it on her own or does the magic that comes along with the season have different plans for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is perfect to read around this time of year and had me either smiling or laughing out loud in some parts. I love when an animal is written into a story, so I loved reading about the stray cat that decides to keep Elf company. I would highly recommend this book.

My Free Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 3) by Necie Navone is follows on right where book two finished. This is the culmination of everything coming together in the tragic world of the Princess a toward her ultimate goal. With the men undeniably hers, the Princess continues to run things as she sees fit but she knows there can only be one end but little does she know that others have that same goal insight. Necie has once again written a winner as she takes us on the journey that ends with death and sadness, love and loss. It’s and ending that needs tissues and will bring a few tears as you are so emotionally invested in these wonderful characters. There is still lots of action and murder and mayhem, and secrets that could bring them all down.

There is a hostile army outside the gates. Will they take over the city? Members of the Guilds begin to disappear. Wren suspects who is behind the disappearances. Her investigation will have her facing old and new enemies. Will Wren find the truth behind the disappearances? Will she find the missing Guild members? How much danger is the city really in? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about Wren and the relationship that she has with her boyfriend. This book has a bit more romance than the last one. This was a book that was a more emotional ride for me. I have grown to love many of the characters since reading the first book and now with this one I was not only rooting for them to succeed in whatever actions they take but also for them to find happiness in their lives. There are moments of suspense that had me having to tell myself to breathe. I love how the story has plenty of detail and I felt like I was right there with the characters. There are some twists and turns that I did not see coming. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting down. Highly recommended.
F*cking Frank (Smirk Series Book 1) By Jen Luerssen 5 Stars
With a title like F*cking Frank I was expecting something good. What I got was so much more. From the uniqueness of the story being told from Frank’s POV to the interaction between him and Mikey, this book had it all. Colorful banter and steamy scenes between the two main characters only enhance the book. The flow of the story is easy and engaging. Emotions cross the gamut so be prepared for the roller coaster. And Jen Luerssen doesn’t stop there! The blurb only gives you a peek of what this book could be but trust me it is just the tip of the iceberg. And when you have sunk into like the Titanic, you will not come up for air until the end! As a first-time reader for this author I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the writing style. I will definitely be looking for more from this author and am intrigued to see what comes next in this series!

Everyday Enchantments is a great inspirational read by Maria F. DeBlassie. It’s short and sweet and full of stories about life’s little treasures. It’s an incredibly detailed read, I was able to picture everything playing out in my mind as Maria describes everything from scents, emotions and even to the smallest of details, which made it highly entertaining.
It’s books like these that I love reading as they open your eyes to everything we take for granted and allow us to remain present and living fully in the moment every single day. I fully enjoyed this read and would recommend it to anyone looking for some daily inspiration!

Shoot Me: A Lie To Me Novel By: Lynda Filler 5 out of 5 stars
The story Shoot Me: A Lie To Me Novel by Lynda Filler is a book that I loved reading. It had me intrigued from the very beginning and I found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. One of the reasons that I loved the story so much is the character of Layla. She is a woman who after losing Mateo, a man that she started opening up her heart to, has decided that she needs to change the scenery of her life and goes to the city of Guadalajara. Layla is a smart and independent woman who is looking for the one person who will complete her, give her happiness forever. In her new surroundings, things begin to happen at a fast rate. Chaos happens at a private opening for the fashion photographer Pablo. Then things ignite between her and Pablo. The tension between these two is off the charts and there are some scenes in this book that make the temperature in the room rise. Add in that she again meets Omar, a man who is determined to make it on the music scene and one night stand for Layla, Mish a University student that she has put in the friend zone, as well as a cartel boss’ son and it make for a story that will at times keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. There are also discussions on social and political issues. Will Layla find the man who will complete her? Layla begins to wonder if when she runs from situations, is it really from her heart? Read this story to find out how it turns out for Layla and the other characters. The author has written a book that is not only exciting to read it also makes you stop and think. My emotions went up and down with the characters. There are moments where my heart was hurting for the characters and others that had me wondering about the actions that some take. Don’t miss out a wonderful and exciting story. It is a book that I would read after the story Lie to Me. It makes understanding some situations easier. Highly recommended.
