My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Painting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes a four-star read that will turn your head. This was my first read by this author and I hope it won’t be my last as it was a compelling and often eye-opening but at times a little confusing. The twists and turns make the story interesting and give it a depth that would be missing from the story otherwise.

Must Have Faith (The Darling Cove #2) by Deborah Garland – Review by Sarah Oakes

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about struggles to forgive. Faith Copeland left her fiancee Greg Mallory at the altar ten years ago. When a chance brings Faith back to Darling Cove and reunites her with Greg, will they be able to mend their relationship or always be remembering the past?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Faith doing a hat she loves but standing up for herself or Gregs harsh exterior but protective nature underneath. I really loved about the setting of a small town with its train station and police station small community full of life and people who all know eachother. And loved the sense of the newsroom with long corridors . The only issue I would raise is there was some repetition at times. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

This book hooked me on the first page. I dove head first and didn’t look back. It is riveting, emotionally charged, and realistic. You find yourself walking alongside the characters. The pace was steady and the book was rich in detail. I enjoyed everything in these pages and cannot wait to see where the series goes next.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed set by K.L. Montgomery a five-star filled read. This is the first three books in the Romance in Rehoboth series and all together they make each book stronger than the last. I don’t know why but they do, each story is of a different strong, individual woman getting what she needs and deserves, each book is good but my personal favourite was the Flip, Sonnett had something about her in a total nerdy chic amazingness and Andrew had that special something that would turn your head and make you chase crocodiles in the rain.

This raw and emotional second installment remains true to the story we connected with initially. It absolutely needs to be read in order for full understanding of the storyline and character progression. This book realistically portrays family dynamics and teenage angst. The emotions felt very real and came across the pages connecting with me immediately. I was invested with the characters and drawn in immediately. Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommended.

Redemption- Meghan O’Flynn

5-stars

Redemption by Meghan O’Flynn is the 5th book in the Ash Park series, a series I would recommend reading in order as each new book follows the last. Redemption is dark, suspenseful, intriguing, heart-wrenching and a fantastic conclusion to a mind-blowing series. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this series. Every book kept me on my toes, constantly guessing and coming up with theories.

I have loved following these characters and their development, Detective Petrosky specifically. He’s a broken man who has experienced so much loss and seen so much evil and he finally gets the justice he so deserves and for that I couldn’t be happier.

I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for their next crime read!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Small Town Hero is book one in the Small Town Brides series by Kim Koby. A first time read by this author, and what a delight it was. Getting to know these characters was endearing and kept me thoroughly entertained and warmed my heart.

Rebecca, after discovering the ultimate betrayal, flees and ends up far, far from home. Ryan swoops in and despite her prickly disposition, helps her out of quite the pickle. They manage to get to know one another in a really short time and their feelings develop at warp speed also. They fight, they become closer emotionally. It is an epic tug of war on their emotions and it is a sight to behold. An absolute pleasure to witness.

I truly got swept up in the whirlwind they created. It was an incredible thrilling journey, and one I am so glad I read about. 5 stars.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is the third book in K.G. Fletcher’s Southern Promises series. I have read the second book which was also my first read by this writer and I fell in love with her Southern story telling! I know now for sure I need to go and pick up also the first book (as it turns out our girl Jessica is friends with Katie who is the female main character in the first story of the series AND both Jessica and Tim love Georgia Clay music!)
Georgia Pine is the story of Jessica Kaufman – a mother to four young girls and just recently divorced from her hot shot cheating real estate mogul husband, and Tim McGill who is hiding out in Georgia and trying to rise like Phoenix from the ashes of his former celebrated career on the West Coast.
The story was heart-warming like Southern hospitality, I loved the simplicity and yet the complexity of the feelings of the two people who feel such a strong pull under the surface so you sit at the edge of your seat and keep your fingers crossed that Tim will learn to trust and open up to these little girls their mother and that Jessica will get her happily-ever-after!

Redemption: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 5 by Meghan O’Flynn
5 out of 5 stars
This is a book where I had to sit and pace myself. This story picks up 5 years after a killer was loose on the streets. Think London’s Jack the Ripper, but in modern day Ash Park. Detective Petrosky is a recurring character from a previous book, Volume 4, Hidden Ashes, in this series and he has some serious ghosts to slay. All of his past and the ghost of his murdered daughter, a victim of the Looking Glass Killer, comes rushing back when a woman is kidnapped and she looks just like his daughter.
Petrosky is on the hunt for this terrible, terrible person. The last 5 years of guilt, sorrow and hatred is fueling his desire to bring his killer down.
O’Flynn is a masterful storyteller for the ages. The details and depth that she gives to each of her stories is incredible and I would place her talent on par with James Patterson and Patricia Cornwall. These books can be read as standalone but I HIGHLY recommend reading them all and in order.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adrift in Costa Rica is the 5th book in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn and I am so glad to have another book in this series. I fell in love with the workaholic Soren in the first 4 books, now I get to fall for the surfer Soren who looks like Thor – YES PLEASE! Like the last 4 books, the writing will have you feeling like you are in Costa Rica right beside Soren and Elena.

A heartbroken Soren has now found himself is a small village in Costa Rica trying to find what is next for him. After a small surfing accident, Soren meets Elena an ex-pro surfer. Soren has decided to extend his stay and take surfing and Spanish lessons. While meeting Elena, Soren has become a lighter version of himself but will Elena’s past put a stop to their romance.

I so need Soren to find his true love; someone that will balance out his workaholic side with his laid-back side. But I have a feeling Elena is not that person if she lets her past back into her life. Aviva again, you have me on the edge of my seat ready for New Zealand.

4 out of 5 stars

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Painting Kuwait Violet since Pamela Q Fernandes is a new to me author, but I know I wasn’t expecting the novel to hit the ground running with such pulse quickening speed. The first chapter was attention grabbing and I was drawn to the book immediately.
I felt that the writing throughout stayed incredibly strong and the conversations between characters were authentic and felt as though I was listening in on friends. The characters were raw and relatable, specifically Violet and the story really held a lot of emotion.
Painting Kuwait Violet is a very different story then the ones I’ve been reading lately, more of a book that sticks with you, popping into your mind here and there and really making you reflect on what you just read. I really enjoyed the book overall and I am intrigued by the about the author segment, I am looking forward to checking out more of what she has written.

Siren Call (Eastern Shore Swingers Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Erin Davidson

Siren CallSiren Call by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Siren Call is the third book in Phoebe Alexander’s Eastern Shore Swingers series. Each book in her series can be read as a standalone, as they centre on new characters and new relationships; but still include characters from the previous books.
In Ocean City, Maryland, there’s a secret club, filled with swingers, that venture far and wide to frolic and play in its themed rooms, every weekend. The Factory is where the magic happens, enticing strangers with promises of nights filled with mystery and fun. In Siren Call the Factory throws together Jessie and Sirena, in hopes of their relationship becoming a blossoming romance, but both have skeletons in their closet that they’d rather keep to themselves.
I really enjoyed the story overall. I thought the characters were very believable and relatable. They came across as real, genuine people, which helped me really engage in the story. I also really enjoyed the precipice of the series, and how sex positive, and body positive they all were. Which is great to read in contemporary fiction.
Really loved the story and rated it 5/5 stars!

Love, Christmas – Movies You Love (The Holiday Series Book 2) Anthology – Review by Lisa Boltiador

Love, Christmas - Movies You Love (The Holiday Series Book 2)Love, Christmas – Movies You Love by Mimi Barbour
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love a good Christmas collection- especially when you get a mix of authors you have read over and over, and some that are new to you. So far, I’ve read a couple stories in this collection-
A wonderful life gave a similar feel to the classic. A man who feels hopeless, being given a purpose, a way to help, a chance at love, and even a miracle? There’s a mystery that needs solving and some bad guys to deal with, too.
A royal white Christmas is cute and short, two people from opposite sides of the world just happening to be staying in the same area for Christmas. It was a feel good holiday story.
Holiday Affair really captured me. Lucas is kind of mysterious and has so many more layers than what we see in this novella. I feel like I would read multiple books about this couple!
Two Hearts Home For Christmas is a second chance romance that I loved. It goes right along with all this author’s series, which I am a big fan of. Nancy and John have a bit of that magic that makes love last a lifetime. These stories touch my heart.

First of the cover is hot! Such a great book. You seem internal term-oil, struggle, realization, heartache, and so much more. The spark that ignites their passion could burn them with the truth Tim is withholding. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Hot, steamy, and so much passion. You want to root for them. The author really has a great writing style like not a lot that I have seen. Once you start the book you will never want to stop. It’s a read again book and a read again series. Is there more because I definitely want more. Great book!!!!

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington – Review by Shannon Fowler

Michael's HeartMichael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this story. Michael’s Heart shows what kind of heart the author, Harrington, has.

“…no matter how full of love a person’s heart was, there was always room for more.” This is how I feel after reading this story. A much fuller heart!

The characters are fairly well developed. We are given just enough of their feelings, their pasts, their concerns and opinions to see how important Colbie and Michael’s messages really are.

“It’s the ordinary that makes life worth living.”

Many people feel they need someone else to make them whole, to inspire them. When really each person, man and woman, has that strength deep inside themselves. Harrington could see that in Colbie too.

“It was scary at first until she realized she actually could do it alone with no assistance.”

Being able to read and “see” a character’s actual growth through-out the story means the author has done a fantastic job! Way to go Harrington!

The entire story touches on many different real issues, teen pregnancy, abortion, adoption, fertility issues, even spiritual beliefs and death. Definitely worth the read! A little advice though, do not read this book in public…only read it next to a box of tissues!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love, Christmas – Movies You Love (The Holiday Series Book 2) by Various Authors

5 Stars!!!!!

When you just want to get lost in romance this is the anthology for you. I love the fact that there
are so many authors and a wide variation of stories. I like the fact that there are so many new authors as well. I know that this is a group of books that I will be able to read again and again.

I would like to highlight my three favorite stories starting with my most favorite A Royal White Christmas by by Leanne Banks. This was such a sweet romance. It is the typical love at first sight that just grabs your heartstrings and has you routing for the girl to get her guy. I like how the author kept the air of mystery surrounding Brice till just near the end.

The instant chemistry between Brice and Holly is endearing. Sometimes the typical mushy romance is just what one needs and this book totally filled that need for me. I really like how the author was able to make Brice make Brice accessible and not your typical royal. I found that the author had a nice writing style and a very creative way of bringing the characters to life. I definitely will be reading this one again and again.

My second favorite was Jingle with my Princess by Mona Risk. This book had quite a complex plot to it. There were parts of the past of the characters that really played a big part to the whole story line. The past between Amy, Paul and Scott really created the people that they had become. I like that Scott really gets to get through his hurts of the past.

The chemistry that develops between Scott and Charlene is quite refreshing. The fact that she is the balm that heals his wounds and helps him to come to terms with his past is the best part. The fact that in the end Scott and Paul sort their differences and Paul realizes that there is no reason to be jealous really added a realism to this story. I was really drawn to Charlene’s character as I felt I could relate to her in some ways. I like how she was able to see through Scott’s faults and checked the facts before she threw away her chance with Scott. She was able to see that Amy although her sister in law had a flawed view and by taking a look from the outside she saw that in fact Scott was misunderstood and I was ever so glad when she gave him a chance. I will definitely be reading this book again and again as well.

My third favorite was Her Mr. Miracle by Donna Fasano. This is another one of those you can’t always be prepared for the love bug stories. I like how the author is able to bring the characters to life. I really got into this story as if it was happening to me.

The complexity between Ronnie and Adam is quite refreshing. She has her complex life she is trying to escape from and he has his own problems to deal with. It’s a two peas in a pod sentiment. They are totally made for one another. I like how the author brings in just enough drama to the story line . There is a point just at the end where I was just banging my head cause you knew that Adam would make things more complex than they should have been and I could feel my heart drop as I am sure Ronnie’s would have. Then getting to near the end when in typical guy fashion he almost makes a complete mess of it all but alas the day is saved. I know that again this is another
book I will read again and again.

There were so many books in this collection and I know that I will enjoy them all again and again. This is the perfect set for the cold long nights ahead not just for Christmas. I am so glad that this has many new authors for me and that it is a varied collection of story themes. This is a definite must read!

Love, Christmas - Movies You Love (The Holiday Series Book 2)Love, Christmas – Movies You Love by Mimi Barbour
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love Christmas (Movies You Love 2) by Various Authors. This is a wonderful collection of books all situated around Christmas. They range from short to medium length books. A few of my favorites were A Wonderful Life by Mimi Barbour. Its the story of Noel Bradford who has hit a rough patch in life and almost takes his own life. While he is in the town where his family’s company is he meets a girl named Mary who runs a non profit called “In Need of Help”. Another favorite was A Royal White Christmas by Leanne Banks, the story of Holly Lawrence and Brice who is a Prince in training. They meet over Holly’s brothers lost dog and sparks fly. I also really liked Brianna’s Season for Miracles by Joan Reeves. Its the story of a girl named Brianna and her father she feels like she’s disappointed her whole life. She goes home for Christmas and falls in love with one of her dads workers all while trying to reconcile with her father. These books are so good and full of Christmas spirit. My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book #1) by Necie Navone – Review by Angela Hayes

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1)My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Hidden Life is the Brothers of Camelot series prequel and the first book in My Life series by Necie Navone. I was really taken with the first book in the Brothers of Camelot, and as a prequel, this is such a fantastic addition to the storyline and ‘bigger picture’ that Ms. Navone is painting.
After the tantalizing snippet that we got at the end of ‘The Only One’, this book has only heightened my interest, even more than it already was. I practically inhaled this book, zipping through it in one sitting because I was desperate to find out what happens, who the elusive Aless was, and how she and Greyson meet. Well this book is far more complex than I had imagined. Yes, I did get some of my answers, but I also got more of Aless’s compelling story- because this book starts from Aless’s early years and works its way through to her later teen years.
Alessandra Canzano was born into an Italian crime family, the only child of the powerful and ruthless Capo (boss). She is their Princess, treated as royalty and living a fairytale life- until her sixth birthday when danger makes itself known, changing her life forever.
Her father had big plans for her right from the moment she was born, but after the events at her sixth birthday, he becomes even more controlling and obsessive. Alessandra’s beloved Uncle was tasked with training her, as he would one of the men. From the age of six she learnt hand to hand combat, then at eight she began weapons training as well. She was to tell no one of her training, or the reasons behind it. She was to keep that part of her life hidden from her mother, grandmother, family and friends.
Aless soon became one of the best fighters in ‘the family’, easily able to out shoot and defeat any of the men in hand to hand combat. But she was also learning a lot more about her family, their business, and the role in it all. She feels the heavy burden of responsibility and expectation, wishing she could just live a normal life. She has one brief encounter with a boy that stays with her long after he’s gone. Holding that moment in her heart and dreaming of a life with someone who loves her passionately.
Although she may be the family Princess, she feels more like a prisoner. The more she learns, the more she questions whether she can be a part of that world anymore. She starts to wonder if she would be better off running away and leaving it all behind. With danger an ever-present part of her life, Aless will have to remain vigilant. She is determined to find a way to avoid what her father has planned. But what can she do? Will she have no choice but to buckle under the pressure to preform to his expectations? What exactly does her father have planned for her? What does she uncover along the way? Where does Greyson fit into all of this? Does she end up staying because she’s afraid of losing everyone she loves? O will she finally escape her gilded prison? What does her future hold?
While we do get some of those answers in this exciting instalment, there is still a lot to uncover in the next book, “My Tragic Life”- which I have already devoured, because I just couldn’t wait to continue Alessandra’s story. Shocks, twists, tragedy, lessons and more await Aless.
Ms. Navone is a wonderful storyteller, weaving a superb story that plucked at my heart strings, had me on the edge of my seat most of the time- whilst also creating characters who came to life, pulling me into their world and holding my attention right through till the end. The story is told from several POV’s which gave the story an extra element of interest. There was a lot going on in this book, lots of action, suspense, some violence, emotion, drama, and just a drop of romance.
Brilliant!

Thank you, Ms Navone!

My Hidden Life by Necie Navone – Review by Maura Harper

My Hidden LifeMy Hidden Life by Necie Navone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“It’s the blood they shed for the Family, and the devotion they’ve shown that makes them Family.” That is an interesting definition of family by choice vs family of origin. This story is about THE Family (always with a capital F), more specifically about the Princess of the Family and how she grows up.

I know I read about this character in the first book of the “Camelot Series” but it’s been a few books since I’ve read the story and I can’t remember the part she plays. This is her origin story.

The first part of a trilogy, MY HIDDEN LIFE is written in great detail from the protagonist’s 6th bday to her 15th. It is a story that shows the growth, both physically and mentally, of Aless as she moves through her childhood. The secondary characters all play a large role and the story is easy to follow along.

I am so so grateful that I have parts two and three of the trilogy downloaded so I can continue with the story .

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Redemption was a thrilling 5 star read and book 5 in the Ash Park series. I was so excited to get my hands on this book to see how the series ended and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

I really enjoy books that have me trying to figure out things as I’m reading, only to be thrown way off base. There were several twists and turns that added great elements to the story. We continue with Detective Petrosky and the cases he is working on. Could there be a connection between them? Will he finally solve his daughters murder?

I don’t want to give anything away about this great read so be prepared for an intense read that will leave you emotionally spent. Meghan does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing. All of the secondary characters were great. It was great how everything tied together in this series finale. I highly suggest reading all of the books in the series before this one.Beware that there are some scenes in the series that could be triggers for some. I look forward to reading more from this author.

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Calling the Curveball: A Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly was a emotional, heart warming, hot read that got me right in the feels and, had me hooked from start to finish.

My first read by this author, I went in with a opened mind. Mostly because I wasn’t quite sure about this one. I was proven wrong (I love when that happens), this book had everything I love about cheesy, quick, hot romances and so much more.

This is that second chance style romance book. Both parties, have been hurt; one is riddled with guilt, the other, recovering from a divorce. Both aren’t really looking but that’s when things always happen. I have to say I liked the way our female MC took the lead, it was a nice change from other romance were the over barring alpha male, is the instigator in the relationship, or in starting one. That was refreshing and, hell, it was super fun to read about. I had a big old gin, cause Jamie was taken so back that it was freaking awesomely epic.

As for our MC’s. Well, they were something. But for me Jamie had the most character development. For him it was about overcoming the survivor guilt and learning that he wasn’t at fault for that tragic night. Having Kira help him through that, and him for her, was special. I was rooting for them from the start.

And that’s where I’m going to leave you, as this is a shorter read, I don’t want to let anything slip and spoil this wonderful read. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will have a time reading about these two broken souls, finding love and hope again.

Happy Reading

My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

BECKONED, Part 5: Adrift in Costa Rica by Aviva Vaughn was a pretty okay read, considering I didn’t read the other books. I was captured right away, and with the way this book is written, and how well, it stand on its one.

So yeah, me being me, and unable to read series in order, I’m starting at the end. As I said with the way this book is written, it stands on it own two feet. And though I didn’t get to know the key characters backstories, with that first opening chapter alone, I got everything I needed, and even though I didn’t have a connection from the other books, it was a heart breaking scene.

Going into this book, I have to say I loved the way it was written. Very smooth, consistent, and it had this lightness to it that was weirdly soothing, and just pulled me into this story. Soren, poor guy, I really felt for him. I mean that opening chapter, was a slap in the face. But man the character development for him, was massive. From that first meeting till the last, you could say dropping everything, was the best thing he ever did. Nice clean slate.

Elena, she was the perfect match for him, and because I didn’t have any lingering attachments to Angela, I quickly started rooting for her and Soren. She also brought some drama, hot sass and of course, a lingering mystery from a chapter in her life, she didn’t want to repeat. It added that something extra that rounded out the story.

This book was great and as I’ve said, I very much enjoyed it. True I should have read the other books, and I do suggest you do as well, because Soren and Angela seemed to have had something special, and I don’t want you to miss out on that. What that said, please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will get swept away by this entertaining, engaging, heart melting read.

Events happen that leave him on the run with his family. Surviving and fending for himself is something has never had to do before. Part of him enjoys the adventure, but another part of him misses the easy life he had. Will he survive? What about his family? What will they do when they finally make it to safety?

I have read this author before, but this is the first book in the series that I have read. It was wonderful. I do not know yet what role Hale holds in the future books, but this novella tells his story well. It is quite interesting to see just how much Hale transforms. He was an arrogant, easy going man who loved the good life. But he is forced to change. The story itself pulls you in too. As this author does so well, it does not take too long for the action to start and does not relent until the end.

This is a young adult fantasy book, but really any age above YA would enjoy it. I highly recommend it.

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Robin Rankin

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher was a great whirlwind romantic love story. I loved the way Lauren and David met and how they just connected.

With as connected as they were they still had their issues in the relationship, self esteem or lack of can cause so many problems. I could imagine the level of insecurity Lauren was feeling while with David.

David with his sexy British accent to go with his incredibly sexy face and body. Whew, I do wonder if the image I got matches up with what anyone else came up with.

I have read a few other books by Ms. Fletcher and she has impressed me with her stories and writing. She is quickly becoming an author I keep an eye on to see if there is anything new.

The Confectioner’s Guild (The Confectioner Chronicles Book 1) by Claire Luana – Review by Erica Fish

The Confectioner's Guild (The Confectioner Chronicles Book 1)The Confectioner’s Guild by Claire Luana
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claire Luana did it again with The Confectioner Chronicles. She has created a world within that has food apart of the magic. Ms. Luana has a tendency to write her characters with the most love or hate with in her story. She likes to teach little lessons with in her book. I think that is why I am a follower of Ms. Luana. In this story she takes an upper class son Hale and makes him a lower class citizen, which to me says anything can happen and you need to be ready for it. Wren, who bakes desserts with luck inside it, finds herself without luck as she is accused of murder. There is no time for Wren to try solving this on her own. Throughout this story it is really fast paced and one needs to pay attention behind every twist and turn because there are clues and you do not want to miss them. The underlying theme I felt as a part of this story is trust and all the making of good desserts. I would love to find a bake shoppe that has magical desserts to help get out of situations that may be happening in my world. I would recommend reading this series as it is only going to get better.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Series book 3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Ashleigh Harrington

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine by KG Fletcher is the third book in her Southern Promises series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Jessica and Tim, you get to see these two characters grow closer and start a family together. Watching these characters throughout the series, from books one and two, you get to see the story being told from their eyes and how their lives have changed since coming together. Having fallen in love with Fletcher’s work from her previous series, and then loving the rest of this series, I knew that I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to read this one. While each of these books are written in a way that they could be read as a standalone, I totally recommend reading them in series order, Georgia Clay and Georgia on My Mind, as the characters really came alive for me across the books. If you are looking for a fantastic series that will take you in and never let go than this is the series for you!

Painting Kuwait VioletPainting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Painting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes takes place in the oil rich land of Kuwait. Violet gets a job in Kuwait as a maid to help payoff er father’s debt. But it may not live up to everything she has expected. She sees and hears things going on that she questions what may be happening around her. She develops a relationship with Sabah Dashti who realizes that Violet knows a lot more about business, which helps develop a good relationship between the two. But things keep happening at the home of Sabah. Will they figure out what is going on and who is doing it?

The writing of Ms. Fernandes keeps you engaged and it is very realistic relating to what was going on in Kuwait during the time the story took place. It flows and is very descriptive. The characters are well developed and very believable. Painting Kuwait Violet is full of mystery and suspense and keeps you turning the page to see what will happen next. I am looking forward to reading more from Pamela Q. Fernandes.
