Running From Demons By M. K. Theodoratus This was good fantasy read. As soon as I started reading this story I was drawn in and it hit the ground running. There was a lot going on throughout the entire story and it kept me captivated. Pillar Beccon heads out on a journey to find out about her mother’s past and secrets. She does a lot of growing while on her journey and also finds herself in grave danger. There are some interesting characters that you get to meet in this book. You must read this book to find out if Pillar finds her way out of danger, and what she finds out about her mom’s past and about herself. I recommend this story it is very detailed and entertaining. I felt like I was there going along this journey with her. You will not want to miss this wonderful story.

Marks of the Mazza: Reverse Harem’book is the first isntallment in Blake Blessing’s The Mazza Series and what a beginning it is! It is her debut book and she knocked it out of the park! I cannot wait for the next instalment as she left us hanging … well, that is the meaning with a series, right? In this first book we are introduced to Isolde – the Mazza – someone who bears the marks of all four houses of this mysterious people and supposedly holds untold powers. Their appearance signals great change and they are supposed to a saviour … the thing is though that Isobel thinks she is completely boringly normal and she has no idea who those people are and what the different players in those different houses are … What do you do when you end up in a wrong ‘Uber” with a bunch of sexy guys aka our Fae guys, each of them from one of the four houses and the beginning of Issy’s harem. Depending how the writer spins her story … there might be quite a few of them. In the first book we are introduced to Donato “Nato”, Sage, Egan, Jari and Rand … It is funny how I started thinking of Laurell K Hamilton’s Meredith Gentry series and maybe that explains why I loved the Marks of the Mazza so much! As with other “EMBRACE THE PASSION: PETS IN SPACE” volumes, VOLUME THREE has 11 stories about (obviously) pets in space.
This particular edition introduced me to all new authors.
Some of the stories are short stories that show a snippet of a story while other stories are full bodied and multi layered. What I’ve liked about all of these anthologies is that it’s easy to pick up and put down while doing other things in life.
Each story is unique and could stand on its own merit. I will be looking for more stories by these talented authors.

This is the start of a new series of dragon shifters. This group of shifters is the “dragon version of enforcers. Police, judges, jury, and sometimes executioners, all rolled into one.”. Each dragon has it’s own distinct look and while some are not related by blood, they are all brothers and sisters by experience.
This is the story of the group’s alpha – Finn. He is “THE BOSS” of the group and is a serious guy. He’s been through some things that effected him in such a way that it changed his outlook on life.
Delaney is someone that trouble seems to follow. She has had some pretty wild experiences as she has grown up and she often wonders if this is really her life. She has settled in her new living space and has made a great friend when things start to change – again.
This story was enjoyable in that it had suspense and shifters and friends and romance and DRAGONS. The story had great world building and I look forward to reading the future of this series.
It was a quick and detailed read that I recommend.

Imagine getting into the wrong car and finding your destiny. Wow this book just really had me hooked from page one. I love supernatural and paranormal romances and to add the extra drama well this book has just ticked all the boxes. The author has such a unique and refreshing take on the Fae.
Isolde really doesn’t have a clue what she steps into and I just love the whole sort of mystery and drama that plays out. The whole dynamic of her and the four Fennin is just mind blowing. I find the author has such a great way to bring this story to life. I found myself feeling the emotions and doubts that Isolde was feeling. I really liked the concept of the reverse harem and the whole idea that she was the one to bring about the destined change. I really cannot wait to read more of this series and also more from his author.

The Jack is the exciting second book in M.K. Harkins’ The Immortals series. It picks up a couple of years after the first book, The Reader, ended with the extinction of (nearly) all of the Jacks – a race of immortals who bring terror and death to the world. I’m glad there was a chance for Archer to develop more as a character, following the events of the previous book. It was also great to get to know Sadie – I really liked her as a character (and Eve!). The way she’d struggled over the years with her immortality and the mortality of everyone around her reminded me of other characters, such as The Doctor in Doctor Who and Tom Hazard in How To Stop Time. Many of the other characters from The Reader had a role, and it was good to see how they’d grown in the time between the books and look at them from different perspectives. I love the fantasy world M.K. Harkins has created! I’m a big fan of urban fantasy and the meeting of the real world and something other. There’s also a bit of a sci-fi feel to it as the various immortal races employ advanced science and technology. For me, this is a five star book. I’m really enjoying this series. It’s very original, intriguing and well developed. I’d recommend it to sci-fi and fantasy fans, especially if you like stories about immortal characters.

This is a story that has romance and some comedy mixed in. I enjoyed how this author is able to pull me into her story right from the beginning. This is a story about a woman who works too much and finds something or someone unexpectedly when she takes a vacation. She is my favorite. She is sassy but has a little bit of insecurity issue. Will she find what she is missing in her life, I highly recommend you read this book to find out.
Marks of the Mazza: Reverse Harem is the first book in Blake Blessing’s Mazza series. Isolde – like all of us – was just waiting for an Uber when destiny came knocking. After getting in the wrong car, Isolde discovers the world of the Fennin, an ancient fae like race, with incredible powers, that are on the brink of war. Isolde is a prophesied Mazza, a powerful supernatural, who has the ability to unite all the houses and bring unity to the Fennin. After being abducted by four insanely hot Fennin, Isolde must navigate their treacherous world, and decide on which side of the fence she sits, as she has the power to tip the scales. I really loved the concept and story for Marks of the Mazza. I thought it was very creative and engaging. Blessing does incredible job of reeling the reader in and keep them in just enough suspense, so that they never want to put the book down. Isolde as a main character was fearless, and sassy; she also had a very distinct voice as a narrator. The voice wasn’t one that I could get my head around and enjoy, I found her to be to over explaining as a narrator, and it would disrupt the flow of the story. But that’s really the only thing I can fault from the book, and it’s just a personal preference. What I might not like, you might love. One thing I loved more than anything was the chapter title art, it’s beautiful watercolour, and you’ll have to get the book to see it. As it is stunning, and I’m a sucker for art in books. I enjoyed this first book of the series and look forward to reading the next. 3/5 stars.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a book that will capture all of your emotions and not let them go. This is a book that I have been waiting for, for so long. I didn’t realise this was the follow up to In The Pursuit of Charity until I was a few chapters in but once I did nothing could have made me put this book down. This book tore my heart to shreds more than once, and in ways I didn’t expect, only to slowly, page by page, but the pieces back together again. This book had me smiling and it had me crying. I was just as immersed in this book as I was he first even though it wasn’t the story I expected it would be. Alexandria Sure is an incredible author whose writing grips hold and won’t let you go, even after you have finished reading. I love how she writes the story that the characters deserve, taking you as the author on a journey. This book was absolutely brilliant and I cannot recommend it more.
The Catch is technically the second book in the Fisher of Men series from Phoebe Alexander. It could be read as a standalone without confusion, but I promise that you won’t want to miss the first one! The books are fabulous. In fact, I may be a bit partial in the consideration that Phoebe is a one-click for me. I don’t ever question, I just buy when it comes to her novels, but she has never ever let me down, and this was no exception to the rule.
As with most of Alexander’s works there is a strong tie to body positivity among her lead female character, Paisley. Something we all could use a little more of in our lives. I loved Paisley, and learned a thing or two from her myself. I too am a curvy and vivacious woman, and I too have my own demons. I appreciated how Paisley handled hers and could relate to her on a very personal level.
Paisley has been on the run from her past for a long time now. Her current situation finds her helping out at “The Factory”, a local swingers club in a small Maryland town. Yes, I said swingers club, so if some spicy romance scenes are not your thing heads up, but really it is done with the utmost class and absolute realistic approach. Something rarely found in fiction related to alternative lifestyles
It is at this club that she meets Calvin. Where Paisley finds a comfort and release in the lifestyle Calvin does not. It is not something he disapproves of, he just doesn’t want to live the lifestyle. This is all well and good and leads to a good friendship between the two instead. At least until the twist you don’t see coming is thrown in their path. What will happen when these two are thrust together to protect Paisley from her past?
Marks of the Mazza was an interesting 4 star read and book one of the Mazza series. This is my first read by Blake Blessing and her debut as well. This is an interesting new twist to paranormal romance/Reverse Harem and my first time reading this genre.
After closing up for the night at her job, Isolde ends up getting into a car that she thought was her Uber, there are very handsome men in the car. She ends up seeing the men again and there is an attraction that she is feeling. After a toe curling kiss she finds herself waking up in a whole new world where she is staying with Donato, Sage, Egan and Jari.
These men have been friends since childhood and have made an agreement amongst them, to mate with a Mazza, when they find her to get their full powers to help in the war. We discover that Sage may have a little glitch in his commitment, will he follow through with mating? There are definitely plenty of other’s very interested in taking his place, good and bad.
There are additional characters introduced and they all added a great element to the story. I was pulled right in and really enjoyed this story.There is so much going on and we do get some hot mating scenes as well. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. We did end with a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Credence Woods is a standalone novel that follows Kennedy Hewson as she struggles to accept, and feel comfortable with, the person she has become. This story is all about self-discovery, acceptance and love, things which all of us should spend more time reflecting on. This can easily be a one-sitting read, it was for me, and is one of those reads that really grabs you. I really enjoyed Credence Woods and can’t wait to recommend it to others!
My favourite thing about this book is Kennedy. As far as leading ladies go, she has so many of the qualities that I love to read. She’s strong, fierce and independent but also has her own insecurities, which makes her so relatable. What woman hasn’t worried about their appearance at some point in their life? Having this connection and similarity with Kennedy immediately made me like her and want to know more about her story. And what an introduction we had to her life! I will admit, at first I really didn’t know where this story was going to go! A grimy club in Tennessee is not what I was expecting, and nor was Kennedy’s choice of activity! So then we saw her back in professional work mode, things became addictive; I had to know what kind of person she was. This book had so many surprises, I couldn’t stop myself from binging on it and finishing it all in one go.
Aside from Kennedy, there are some really wonderful supporting characters in Credence Woods. From Max, one of my new favourite American men, to Hank, I loved the characters Kennedy finds herself surrounded by. They are just as addicted as she is and I thank the author for taking the time to develop them so much.
Credence Woods was a fun, uplifting and romantic read that I enjoyed from start to finish. From the wonderful characters to unpredictable plot, I can definitely recommend this read to others. I’m excited to read more of this author’s work!
I literally devoured this book in one sitting. It is definitely one of those books people can relate to. I love how Kennedy is super successful within her business life and as well as her person life, for the most part, but there are things she struggles with that I think women have issues with as well, such as doubt in yourself and feeling worthless at times.
Kennedy leads a very structured life but I love how Max had a way of getting to her. She starts to question her strict life and the feelings for Max grows but that also brings the second guessing on everything.
I love how realistic this story was and I couldn’t get enough of it. Kennedy was so relatable and Max was just as amazing!

I really loved this novel it so relatable for many people facing insecurities, doubts about your self and so much more. I felt really connected with the story and the characters and i struggled to sit my kindle down i was so engrossed in the story i found it hard to pull my eyes away. I know what it’s like to look in the mirror and think very little of myself the self doubt creeping in and the little voices telling me I’m nothing but when someone sees you in a complety different light it’s hard to wrap your head around it which is what you will find Kennedy she has all this self doubt will she believe in herself or believe what other’s see or will the little voices in her head win. I really really enjoyed this novel absolutely fantastic.
I enjoyed this story so much, the main character really spoke to me from the very beginning and I felt an instant connection with her. Kennedy was such a relatable character and I think that there are going to be so many readers out there that once they start reading realise this. After I read the blurb I wasn’t sure I would find this connection but I really did. I loved reading her story, her good times, her bad, her struggles and her joy. It felt like I was reading her diary and her inner dialogue was so funny at times. I found the book to be such an engaging read that I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down at all. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I loved her creative and engaging writing style so I would definitely love to read more from her again. I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Credence Woods to other readers; it was a wonderful read with an equally wonderful character!

If you are looking for a good science fiction story with a new twist this book is for you. Colleen Myers is an amazing author who takes you a ride that you do not want to get off until the end. Must Remember is a part of the Solum Series. Not only is filled with aliens, adventure, and action, but also magic survival, and memory loss. The story is about Elizabeth Camden’s or better known as Beta. Her world is coming to topsy-turvy, as she was taken away from her college campus to an alien world. She does not understand what was going on fully and she has had her memory gone. She is confused not knowing what is going on. Will Beta figure out what is going on? This is a must read for everyone’s library.

Credence Woods by Alexandria Sure is a beautifully written love story. It’s most definitely an ‘opposites attract’ story. You could never imagine these 2 characters being together. I was totally drawn to the story from the very beginning and devoured the whole book in one sitting. Kennedy Hewson is a high flying sales executive buying industrial properties and selling them on. She’s a total workaholic, city girl. Kennedy has previously undergone weight loss surgery and is now a shadow of her former self, although since losing the weight she still struggles with confidence and sees herself as a ‘fat’ person. While on a working trip to Tennessee, Kennedy has a car crash and is rescued by handsome local Max. Max takes Kennedy to his home to look after her and there is an attraction between them. This is a beautiful story which portrays Kennedy’s journey to deal with her issues around her weight and her growing feelings for Max. Max who lives in a different state (a different world really!) who couldn’t be any more different from Kennedy if tried. Can Kennedy overcome her self-confidence issues and realise that she is desirable? Can she give up the high powered city job that she has to live in the country? Will Kennedy and Max get the happily ever after that they both deserve so much? These and so many other questions are answered in this gorgeous story that I thoroughly recommend to others. Before finishing this review I must add that there are some amazing side characters who add so much to this story, none more so than Kennedy’s personal assistant Hank. Hank is truly awesome. Everyone needs a Hank in their life!

This is a love story I haven’t heard before. I guess I never realized all the struggles someone would go through, dating after weight loss surgery. Even years later, Kennedy’s self esteem and body image are affected. Professionally and fashionably fierce, she’s in need of a boost in the rest of her life. Max is a sexy southern gentleman, a great book boyfriend, and just plain sweet. I really like him and how he makes her feel. I love her assistant too! This book is light on angst. It does get a little crazy near the end, but has a happy ever after. It was entertaining and enjoyable.

Our Next Chapter is a contemporary romance book and is the first book that i have read by this author and i loved it. From the moment i picked this book up i DID NOT want to put it down. It was not only the authors awesome writing style and her ability to draw me in, but it was also the story line and the fantastic characters that made this story. This was one of stories that had me on a whirlwind of emotions. One minute i was happy, laughing and excited. The next i was sad, angry and tearing up. In her new post-apocalyptic world, she has survived the claiming and destroying of her world from the E’mani, the creepy alien men from Space. She suffers their experiments and torments, and finally she escapes. She doesn’t remember the details of why, but they want her back….badly and they will do anything to get her back. In her fear and pursuit of safety, she runs into the Fost, the enemy of the E’Mani, and hey, the enemy of her enemy is her friend….right? Beta struggles with the memories from her time of capture and knows that they hold the secret as to why the E’mani want her back so bad. As she tries to regain these memories she is drawn to the handsome Marin, a Fost who seems to have a similar attraction to Beta. This book is not in my normal wheelhouse genre but I was oddly and pleasantly surprised with this book. The characters were well rounded and sharp. Easily relatable on a personal level and with dashes of humor thrown in. A good read for a rainy day.

Joker’s Fool is the eighth book in the Satan’s Devils MC series by Manda Mellett. This is a m/m romance and was well written with what I can only assume are true issues when coming out. How I missed the first seven I don’t know but if I had to pick one to be introduced to this Motorcycle Club this was a great one. It can be read as a standalone thankfully but I’m interested in the stories of the others is this club.
Joker had a horrible and tragic childhood and carried the scars into adulthood. Those scars built a strong wall between Joker and everyone else until he gets to know Lady and very slowly he starts to allow Lady in.
I can’t imagine the struggle of not only realizing you are guy but accepting that you’re “different” and that some people may not like or accept you for that one reason.
I truly loved this book and I hope to get caught up on the series at point and look for new books in the future

Joker’s Fool was a great 5 star M/M read and is book 8 in the Satan’s Devils MC. We jump from past to present as Joker remembers his childhood memories.
Joker has a secret that he’s keeping from his MC brothers. We get a deeper look into Joker’s childhood and his struggles he went through at home. Kind of breaks your heart, I had a few teary eyed moments.
Lady helps Joker realize that there is nothing wrong with him and that they can be happy with who they are and who they love. Lady had a very different upbringing that was supportive and very opposite of Joker.
Can these two have a HEA? How will their brothers react to the truth?
Manda really pulled me in with her writing. My emotions were all over the place, hate, fear of discovery, pain from past, and so much more. Joker had me right from the first time I met him in the series, and getting to know his story was something I couldn’t wait to read. I’m glad that Lady was there to love and help Joker. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. This can be read as a stand alone, I definitely need to go back and catch up.

The Sound of Love is the first book in The Sound series by Maria Watts. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be the last. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. This is not your typical rockstar romance, it shows the good and bad side of following and being involved with a boy band. This story features Nina, who has a giant crush on the lead singer of The Funky Guys, Chris Mulligan. When she accidentally get the chance to meet him, and they have chemistry, thing progress from there. As Nina follows Chris out on the road, choices must be made, but she is young and Nina struggles with new experiences trust issues. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Michelle Sullivan’s Our Next Chapter is a contemporary romance. This novel was a page turner through and through. Michelle’s style of writing easily captures the reader within the story and holds it while she shares a captivating story of ups and downs, loss and growth, regrets and aspirations with a second chance. I fell in love with the main characters as I was reading this story and thoroughly enjoyed how this author paces the story and showcases character growth and development. Karalyn and Dez are the quintessential high school couple where everything that could part them falls into place with their lives now set on separate paths. This story was a piece of literary art.

Self Love by TL Clark is the first book I’ve read by this author. This book is a standalone and is recommended for readers 18+ due to some of the content.
Molly is stubborn and independent. She’s also generous and caring. There’s a lot of facets to Molly but she’s pretty self- deprecating as well. She really focuses on her faults and the negatives rather than any real positive where she is concerned. Molly deals with a lot throughout this book. As the book went on, I was definitely rooting for her. I pretty easily connected with Molly as I’ve faced similar issues. That connection made her real and really pulled me into the book more than I originally thought I would be pulled in. I was hesitant when I started this book but I’m glad I took a chance anyways because I would have missed out on a good book otherwise!

I know, I know… It clearly said “DO NOT OPEN UNTIL HALLOWEEN” but I couldn’t help it, I HAD to read it as soon as it hit my Kindle. This is one or my favorite authors who writes such spectacular stories that I couldn’t resist.
I have something in common with a character in this story. You see, I’m a “flamboyant introvert” (I also explain it as an extroverted introvert) and had to make sure that the story portrayed said character in a grand manner. (She was portrayed perfectly.)
Did you know that “Darkness can never hurt you as long as you have hope in your heart for a bright sky ahead.”? You will learn that and more when you read this incredible story. It’s a story of magic and friendship and stories, ohh the stories.
I recommend this beautifully written story to everyone from my young cousins and my elderly mother’s book club alike.
Actually, can I rate it with 31 stars for Halloween???

I give Marks of the Mazza: Reverse Harem (Mazza Series Book 1) by Blake Blessing, 4 stars.
Isolde lives a normal, if somewhat boring, life. That all changed the moment she gets into the wrong car with some men she has never seen before. They say they are another race and she is the one they have been waiting for. That she bears the marks of the four houses of these mysterious beings. And to make things even more interesting, she is supposed to mate with one male from each house of this race. But they are not the only ones looking for her. There are others that want to use her and will do whatever it takes. Can she believe all this? If so, does she go along with it?
This was a very interesting book. I have never read a reverse harem book before and maybe that was why, but it felt a little confusing to me at first. But the more I got into the story, the more drawn in I got. Besides the romantic side, there is action and betrayal. Isolde is interesting herself and easy of the men in her life are different, making this an even better book.
If you like supernatural romance and/or reverse harem romance, this book is for you.

Hidden an Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn is a five star novel. This is the fourth novel in the series and they just keep getting better and better. Like to be scared? Then this is the book for you. The first introduction to this book is inside the head of a killer. The way she was able to write from this deep, dark, mysterious perspective is frightening. I didn’t know at first if I was going to be able to continue reading, but after pushing forward, I am glad I did. Just like the other Ash Park novels, this one does not disappoint. It is full of intrigue, mystery, frightening murders and plenty of work on the relationships of the three main characters. Once I got past the prologue, I couldn’t put it down!
