This book is different than anything else that i have read recently and it was one of those books that had me asking a lot of questions about myself. This book is about a young woman and her journey through life as a person of faith and how her life isn’t going how she had planned it but God will guide her along the way. The authors writing style was great and i could easily put myself in the characters shoes. I enjoyed this book a lot and i thought it was certainly worth the read! I would recommend to a friend.

If The Shoe Fits... (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book #3)If The Shoe Fits… by Bea Stevens

If The Shoe Fits is the third installment in The Liberty Lawrence series and it is just as sweet, fun & mysterious as the first two books. Libby is our main character who gets a job in the fashion section and is excited to get to work. Unfortunately her boss is kind of horrid and doesn’t treat Libby very well. Libby is such a awesome character. She is funny, has a heart of gold and is shoe OBSESSED! The plot thickens and Libby ends up being the one in the bad guys path. She will have to figure out this mystery before she ends up with her pretty shoes scuffed up from the trouble.

He has suffered a significant loss and he is doing his best to move on with his life. This is the first Christmas he has had to without his mom. I also like all of the other characters. The emotions are high but luckily he has wonderful friends by his side.

The InheritanceThe Inheritance by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book. It was a short read that i was able to read it in one setting and didn’t want to put it down. This story is about Lani. She is an artist, and like all artists, she is struggling to get by. She learns that she is going to lose her apartment and that just makes matters even worse.
Lani learns that an uncle she hasn’t seen in years had put her in his will and left her an inheritance. There are conditions of the will and she has to go see her uncles friend Sam to complete some tasks. The chemistry between Sam and Lani is off the charts. I loved these two. Could this man be the thing she has been missing, or is she just after the inheritance?
This story is a must read and i would recommend it to a friend.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first book by this author and it was a great action packed story. This story was faced paced and had a whole lot going on and that wasn’t a bad thing. Some drama, mystery and a whole lot of mayhem. This story follows a pretty awesome girl named Britt and her friends as they battle their way through life and protecting their town from demons. This story was well written and it kept my interest throughout the whole book. I was drawn to how well the characters were developed and I thought the story overall was great. It is fantasy based, so if that is your go to genre then I think this book would be perfect for you. I would recommend it to a friend!

Luke (The McKades of Texas Book 3) by Kimberly Lewis – Review By Anastasia Dodson

Luke (The McKades of Texas, #3)Luke by Kimberly Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review For Audiobook:

Luke is the first book that i have listened to by this author and I loved it. It was a sweet and funny story that i found both heartwarming and hot hot hot. The author did a wonderful job at capturing my attention and keeping me interested til the very end.
Karlie is our MC and she just graduated from college. Luke is a sexy noncommittal cowboy that Karlie has known her whole life and she has loved him for as long as she can remember. She has decided to take an internship at Luke’s family’s ranch for the summer to make her job resume look better to future employers. When Luke sees Karlie for the first time after two years he is extremely surprised that little Ms.Karlie isn’t so little anymore. The banter between the two of them is hilarious and i just love that Karlie is a little firecracker. Will a relationship bloom between them or will they remain family friends like they have always been.
I thought the Narrator was the perfect choice for this book because she was able to make a different voice for all of the characters and that made it easy to listen and follow along. I think my favorite voice she did was Luke’s Momma! She sounded EXACTLY like a southern momma should.
I think both author and narrator did an awesome job and I will definitely listen to more books by both of them!

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 2) Bea Stevens – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2)Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my second read by this author and i liked it just as much as the first book. Its funny and lighthearted and just a breath of fresh air in the mix of books I’ve read lately. This is the second book in The Liberty Lawrence series but it can be read as a standalone. With that being said, i would suggest reading them in order because there are characters that you are introduced to in the first book that are also in this one. PLUS it is also a good read.
Libby just recently started a job as a reporter but man is her boss Dave a floozy. He runs around like a chicken with its head cut off and often lives her hanging without a word and he doesn’t treat her well either. When life get tough she has to decide if the course she is on is worth it or if she should step it up and move in a different direction.
I enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more by this author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is perfect for anyone that wants a good, funny, lighthearted read! I was entertained from the very first page and i thought this was a great way to start a series. This fun story is about Libby. She is a junior manager at a hotel and she LOVES designer shoes. When Libby founds out her boss’s office is the site of a theft, she is convinced she knows who the culprit is BUT, unfortunately the investigating officer isn’t convinced her theory is true and dismisses her. The banter between those two is hilarious! I couldn’t get enough of those two. I am looking forward to reading more of this series and more by this author!

Love love loved this book! I have read a few books by this author already and this is for sure one of my favorites. It was sweet and cute and who doesn’t love a good friends to lovers romance.. I can’t get enough of them.
Lucas… oh sweet sexy Lucas! (Can I keep him? okay? Glad that’s settled!) He is a single dad who is going through a NASTY custody dispute with his horrid ex-wife. His lovely daughter currently lives with him but if the ex gets her way that all will change. That’s where Kate comes in. She is Lucas’s best friend’s sister and they’ve come up with a plan to help Lucas keep custody of his daughter.
Such a good story line with a few twists and of course a whole lot of chemistry! The author’s writing is fantastic and I am looking forward to reading more by her! I would recommend this one to a friend!

The Monster’s Lover (The Fenris Series Book 1) by Samantha MacLeod – Review by Anastasia Dodson

The Monster's LoverThe Monster’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Fenris series and is an interesting fast paced read.
When Sol’s father dies in a logging accident in the woods, her family is left with HUGE financial troubles. With no way of meeting the king’s lumber quota, Sol is offered to the king as payment for the family’s debt.
With only weeks left of freedom, Sol tries to make the best of her time left and helps around her family’s land as best as she can. In the woods not too far from her house she meets a mystery man called Fenris, who she is instantly enamored with. She is promised to the king, but how can she agree to go with him when she can’t get Fenris out of her mind.
This story was a tough one for me. I had trouble connecting to the characters and the instant catch fire love the MC’s had was hard for me to get behind…. BUT the author has a really great writing style and managed to get a whole lot of detail into a relatively short story. I am looking forward to seeing how the author continues this story and seeing where Sol and Fenris end up.
I would recommend this to a friend.

This was a very interesting book. I do not think i have ever read anything like it. It was a Suspenseful dark comedy that had all kinds of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I have to admit that it did take a little while to get into the story but as soon as it picked up i couldn’t put it down. The characters were funny and man do i want one of those GIANT Cinderella coffee cups that Ann liked to drink out of. She “dreams” of a new life without her husband and has to decide if she should come clean to him about the “dream” she had of him dying. She has to decide if she wants the life that she is living or if she should pack it up and go live her life somewhere else.
This was a fun interesting read and i would recommend it a friend.

Climbing The Walls (Hart & Cole Book 1)Climbing The Walls by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars

Climbing The Walls is the first book in the Hart & Cole series and it is also my first book by this author. It is really well written and i love the authors writing style. The story is told from duel POV’s and i think that makes the book that much more appealing because you get to see two sides of the same story.
Nicole is a hardworking mother of two and is married to a man that she loves dearly. She is a HUGE workaholic and her boss is constantly pulling her away from her home life. She wants to be a good wife and mother, but with her schedule she is always away and that is causing problems in her marriage. When her boss wants a shoulder to cry on she sees how fragile her marriage really is.
Kris whole-heartedly loves his wife and he adores his children, but with Nicole gone all of the time it has put a strain on their marriage and the people around him are making him question the marriage and if it is stronger than the problems they’re going through.
Man oh man oh man, what an awesome story. And that freakin’ twist!!! I did not see that coming! I enjoyed this book and i am looking forward to reading more of this series and also more of this author. I would recommend this book to a friend.

Their names are Emil and Perrin. Emil is a vet who’s had a rough life and has some pretty big skeletons in his closet. He is asked by a friend to teach Perrin how to dance and let’s just say he wasn’t over the moon about it.
Perrin is the perfect example of a woman i would love to be friends with. She is fun and is always looking for her next adventure. That’s when she comes across a couple and decides she wants to learn how to dance.
These two are fantastic together. There is so much chemistry and they just work. But with demons in both of theirs pasts they have a lot to overcome.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heart of a Hunk is a collection of 24 holiday romances filled with bad boys, billionaires and just all around hunky men. Two of the stories from the collection that i really are called Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott and A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson.

Foxxy Chrismas is about an escort named Foxxy who meets a mysterious man who claims he wants to help her get away from her troubles. Even though they just met, there is an instant connection between them but there’s more to him than meets the eye and Foxxy isn’t the only one running from the past. I adored this book and i would like to read more by this author.

A Kiss Under A Blue Moon is a sweet romance that gives all those Christmas movies they show on tv a run for their money. Noah just returned home from the Air Force with one thing on his mind: Mia. He is still just as much in love with her as the day her left but Mia isn’t so sure she feels the same after all this time. I thought this book was super sweet and i am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

If you are looking for a collection of great Christmas reads this is great choice!!
