I found this story to be creative and easy flowing. This story is about light vs darkness. Trinity is a young girl who has the ability to sense emotions from those around her. While she is trying to deal with haunting nightmares, boys, someone is trying to kill her too. I enjoyed her character right along with Blain who brought out the best in her. Their journey is action packed, emotional and sitting on the edge of your seat twists and turns. I highly recommend reading their story.

The story Hope’s Decree (The Fated Book 1) by Angela McPherson is a YA/fantasy/romance book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I enjoyed reading about the background information given. It held my interest and I found the book to be wonderfully detailed so that you feel like you are right there with the characters. I loved reading about the characters of Trinity Whitebone and Blain Heros. Trinity is a senior in high school and is looking forward to finishing her final year and what is to come next. She is a girl that can feel the emotions of others in her head which can at times be overwhelming. She also finds herself feeling out of place and awkward when talking to guys. This is all the more evident when she meets Blain. She finds herself attracted to Blain and seems to be pulled towards him. Blain is a guy that when around others their emotions seem to be heightened. He has an effect not only on Trinity but on the other girls at school as well. Trinity is getting mixed signals regarding his interest in her. Revelations and danger start to present themselves. Trinity is a girl that wants to be normal. Finding out she has powers is not what she was expecting. Will she be able to learn how to successfully use these powers? How far will a group of rogue immortals go in order to control her powers? What does the future hold for Trinity and Blain? Who can Trinity trust? Will she survive? Read this book to find out. There are other additional characters that are introduced, and I loved reading about those who are the friends and family of Trinity. There are also those who you wonder about their motives and if they have a hidden agenda. This is a book that kept me spell-bound and turning pages to find out what happens next. It is wonderfully written and a story that I would recommend reading.

Distraction is the first book in Angela McPherson’s Distraction trilogy and I absolutely loved it, all 315 pages of it! I read it in one day and once I was done, I dived into the second book and … guess what, once I was done with the second book, I grabbed the third book … it was a very very long day but it is ok, I really needed it! The trilogy is a story of Elle and Tristan who have been friends since they were kids. The story is full of angst and emotion and romance and … What do you get when you get childhood friends who have been in love with each other since they were kids, who go to college and hang out at a fraternity and yeah, when Tristan is a football start with a bright future … You can imagine …. At times it got so crazy that I felt like hitting both of them, what the hell, take a chance and go for it! And then I remembered how insecure I was myself when I was young and how you really thought that maybe it is better to at least have the friendship than have nothing … The story was very well written, it was both from Elle’s point of view and Tristan’s point of view so you were following both of them on their painful journey. It is a story about two people who know each other so well and who are best friends and who understand each other and share everything (or almost everything) with each other and … it is a real life fairy tale and it makes you hope and you root for them and wish for the best and grab the second book! Do not hesitate! Get the book and spend a weekend with Elle and Tristan and their best friends! And I mean, take a weekend as I can bet my head that once you finish the first book, you want to continue to the second and then to the third and you need time so start Friday night!

Addiction is the second book in Angela Mcpherson’s Distraction trilogy and she absolutely blew my mind with the second book! I took no breather between the books and it all felt like one long dream (at times a nightmare that you cannot wake up from). Do not read this book as a standalone! You will miss out on so much! Thank you so much Angela for tackling this horrific and heartbreaking topic, I forgive you for taking it to the direction you did as that is what the real life is about! I was crying so hard; I simply could not stop. I have felt what Elle’s sister Heather felt … It broke my heart but I understand … The more I read, the more I fell in love with Tristan, he was amazing and I know, we all wish for a boyfriend like him (even if we do not acknowledge it out loud). Also, this book added so many more layers to Elle and got us deeper into some of her behavior and reasoning. It is crazy what twists the writer threw us into, there were so many secrets and as we all know, secrets have a bad habit of surfacing and biting us in our butt … Angela’s storytelling is brilliant and I knew that I had to go straight to book three when I finished book two as I knew that she would bring the story together, she would not leave us with so much pain, there has to be more!

College is coming to an end and the world is their oyster. The plans that Tristan Daniels and Elle Richards are piecing together are at a standstill. Elle knows what she wants but Tristan has yet to make up his mind on what he wants. Elle knows what she needs to do to help him along. Just when things are looking up for them as a couple an unexpected discovery throws them for a loop. Tristan watching the one he loves suffer decides to take things into his own hands and call in the troops. After coming to grips with another loss they are yet again hit with something from the past that no one in a million years saw coming. Hardships have been fought, some they have lost and others they have won but this, this will definitely put their relationship to the test. The will be the ultimate sacrifice. Tristan and Elle’s friend, Paul is home from his stint in the army and wants to rekindle the love he believes is his. Will Elle & Tristan be strong enough to weather the storm that has been thrust upon them or will it be too much for them as a couple? Will Elle accept the changes to come for the man she loves or will it all be too great a sacrifice? Can Tristan and Elle accept that their lives will forever be changed and move forward together? When old and new friends come together will it be to much to disrupt and destroy friendships that they have. Will Paul be able to put the past behind him and move forward? This is the final book in the series with a lot of ups and downs, wins and losses. It was such an emotional journey and it is a great way to finish up the series.
Heather, Elle’s sister is in Rehab for a drug addiction but Elle doesn’t know, she hasn’t seen or heard from her for months. Months and months of worry over where she is or if she is even alive. Their father has told Heather that he will take her home for christmas but pulls out at the last minute. He pays Heather’s airfare and after much debating manages to catch the flight. Elle and Tristan are finally together, so in love and going strong and they have just arrived home to celebrate Christmas with family. Heather finally contacts Elle and tells her she will be home for Christmas. After enjoying Christmas day they receive a call that will change their lives forever. Elle is not able to deal with the terrible tragedy pushes Tristan away, the one person who loves her more than anything and vowed to be there if she fell. Tristan tells her he will wait but for how long? Will Elle be able to forgive and find what she needs to continue a relationship with Tristan? I understand what Elle is going through but I just wanted to smack some sense into her. Having said that I really like this story and the characters Elle and Tristan. Angela has a way of writing that draws you in.
Tristan has been happy attending the University where he is playing what he loves, football. It wasn’t his first choice but he sacrificed it for his best friend, Elle, after his father threatened to ruin her chances. Encouraged by his fiance, Kellie, he applied to the same Uni she will be attending and has been accepted. Kellie knows Elle and Tristan are best friends but she does not like the closeness between them and feels threatened especially now since they will be attending the same college. Tristan has not told Elle about Kellie and is worried what Elle’s reaction will be when she finds out about his engagement to Kellie.
After the transfer Tristan finally contacts Elle and lets her know about Kellie and his transfer to the same Uni. Elle is taken aback at this news and tries to hide her feelings for Tristan, the one she has loved her whole life. Elle tries to be friends with Kellie and get over Tristan but finds she can’t. Alyssa, Elle’s other best friend gives her the kick she needs to move on and starts to date Eric. Tristan is given an ultimatum from Kellie, it’s either her or Elle but Tristan refuses to give up Elle, the girl he has loved his whole life.
Will Tristan and Elle finally be brave enough to tell each other how they feel or will they continue to make do?
I really wanted to smack some sense into both Tristan and Elle but enjoyed this story along with the background stories. If you enjoy contemporary romance, then this is a book for you.
