My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when the person you are running from finally catches up with you, terror that’s what happens.

Saffie had left in the first book but this picks up right at the end and with all his might Narin finds her but there is a consequence that both are not prepared for.

While hiding out in pops the person which Saffie has been running from and that the Satan’s devils have been protecting Saffie from her abusive husband who just happens to be the VP of a rival gang. Can Narin persuade them he is really looking for a MC to be a part of and can he protect Saffie from the horrendous things her husband is mouthing off about.

You will have to read to find out.

This book was just as thrilling as the first part, the story is well written and will have you turning the pages to find out what the author has install for these brilliant characters. I love the character of Saffie she is so strong but is not afraid to ask for help with trying to escape from her husband and the MC.

Narin has also some demons to overcome especially when he is trying to convivence Crazy Wolf MC that he wants to be part of them knowing that they white supremist and can he tolerate them long enough to help Saffie, that was the brilliant writing.

The secondary characters also enhanced the story and I can see a few characters who I love to read there stories further on within the series. I loved every word and it had me yet again at the edge of my seat. Thank you and can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

Madeline and Mike are back in the thick if it again not only having two missing persons case but trying to run a catering business, the plot thickens.

Madeline and Like are now married and still involved in the PI game but when an old rival and mentor asks doe their help how can they refuse. Russell’s nephew has gone missing and he begs the couple to help him find him, so the couple agree and start the investigation.

Although when they get a call from a friend also asking them to fine his missing wife, MDPI is on the case and uncovers more than the bargained for. With the usual twists and turns can Madeline and Mike find Dylan and his girlfriend aswell as Tara Richardson in time.

I have read all this series and this book does not disappoint, it it full of the twists and turns which I have come to expect from Cynthia. I love the relationship between Madeline and Mike and especially six books in this relationship has grown with each book. The story breaks into essentially three stories in the end and with the secondary characters weaving through the story it makes a enthralling read.

Although this can be read as a stand alone story, there are some references to other stories in this series and it would be great to see where this couple have come from. As always I can’t wait for the next adventure with these two great characters.

Chole is not like the other woman he has dated but once he pursues her he finds that she has baggage and history which he will need to go slow but show her he is the one for her.

This is the first book I have read by this author and as for a debut book the book showed promise. I must admit I am normally like a bit of angst within the main characters path to happiness but within this book the main characters were just really nice which is not a bad thing just sometimes did not hold my interest within the story.

I do have to say that the secondary characters where brilliant each bringing their own drama to the story and you get to see the glimpse into other books in this story, I hope. I loved the well developed story and the characters are brilliantly written. I can’t wait to read more in this series and from this author in the future.

When Ben saw Jazzy he had an instant attraction but with her crass and stroppy attitude, can he try and break the outer shell of her heart and help her recover.

Ben is an all round good guy and being a jock and hot is always in the limelight, but when he sees Jazzy he instantly has an attraction that won’t go away, the only problem is that she is a bitter, twist girl but can he try and uncover why she is so broken and try to heal her.

Jazzy has a past which she would rather forget but this has imprinted on her attitude and would rather push the boundaries rather than keep within them, but when she meets Ben he is the only person who has tried to help her but can she let him in or be allowed to love again.

I loved the story and the characters which are developed within this book. The story is hard hitting and delves into subjects which are not comfortable to read, but Stephanie writes with such passion and delicate that you at times feel sorry for Jazzy but with her attitude you could hit her aswell.

The character of Ben is lovely and although these two characters are different but still complement each other brilliantly. I can wait to read the next book in this series.

I am lost and feel worthless ready to meet my maker but one wrong call changes my life forever, but can we survive long enough for her to piece me back together.

Sam is lost within a world of evil and sacrifice, now that he is within his brother’s love he feels worthless. With their father still on the loose and knowing what pure evil he is Sam is feeling that the best for him is to leave this world and fine peace with his mother as an angel, but as he makes his last phone call to his brother he dials the wrong number changing his life, attitude and will to live to protect this lost soul.

Ellie is broken, her work although rewarding is deeply hurtful also, being the last call for someone who is in need and sometimes not being able to get there is becoming more and more stressful for her, but on New Year’s Eve she receives a random phone call which changed her life and she now can’t let he creep back into the evil world, they need to find a way to play his father at his own game and crush him once and for all.

OMG I have been waiting for this book to read and it did not disappoint, I love this series and all the brothers but Sam’s story nearly broke me. I do have to say that I would not recommend this book if you have not read the others in the series, this is definitely not a stand alone book, with that said this story is what you come to expect from India Kells full of action, twists and a well written story which has you engaged from the first word to the last.

As you only grab glimpses of Sam in the other book’s you know that there is a brilliant story lurching in his past and oh my did this story hit the right spot. Sam was always a lonely soul and getting to understand his darkness was brilliant and well written, the story draws you in and you want to grab Sam and just give him a hug. Ellie’s character is the greatest to compliment Sam, with her broken history also but the inner strength she shows when in situations is a great adventure to read.

Will they escape the evil clutches of his father or will they both be lost in the world Jamieson Finch has created you will have to read to find out, but I will say one thing you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to read the next book in this wonderful series. Thank you India for allowing my imagination to come alive within your stories.

I loved the strong character of Annabelle and her determination to make the farm work and not afraid to ask for help. I loved this story as the first in the series it lays some of the groundwork for the series but it is gripping from the first word written. The story is full of twists and turns with gangs and mobsters, killings, manipulation in buckets.

The secondary character provide a great arc within the story and I loved how they all interacted with each other and love the way the story weaves and finishes off brilliantly. This is not the first book I have read by this author but this maybe the best series I have read in a long-time. I have lived in the shadow of my sister for far too long, well I want to live my life and be free. Then in walked him and changed my life completely.

Jody is stuck in a carousel going round in circles, she is beholden to her twin sister the country music star, Jilly but Jody has had enough of the constant antics of her sister and wants to just be her. That’s when in Germany she meet him, Holt is just what she needs to escape the hamster wheel.

This book was well written and I loved the two main characters of Holt and Jody, the chemistry just popped off the page and was a pleasure to read. I must admit I could have smacked her sister with the tricks and demands she was pushing but how the author wrote a character who took everything in her stride was refreshing. I felt so sorry for Jody and loved the fact that she found Holt and that he was perfect for her.

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as part of the series or a stand alone story and you would be able to follow perfectly. This is not the first book I have read by this author and certainly will not be the last.

Alicia’s new torture is to be a model, but Mary is not happy with her going alone as something does not seem right and how right Mary was. With the help of the handsome MC rider can they get themselves out of the mess they have got themselves in.

I love all of the series written by Manda Mellett and this does not disappoint, I loved the relationship between Mary and Grumbler as they seem like an unlikely couple but are so perfect for each other. Also, this is a great older couple story its not all the young people who can find love, the chemistry between was brilliant and the way the characters have been developed made them believable and relatable. This is a brilliant instalment to this series and a well written, intriguing story. I loved the chemistry between these two characters and you are just willing them to get together, but there is some hard hitting storylines which was delicately written and has you drawn in from the beginning.

I loved the character of Saffie who was strong and over come so much heartbreak and evil that it breaks your heart but her will carries on. Niran’s character is definitely a brilliant counter to Saffie and his pure determination to prove himself was also brilliant to read.

This is a book which delves into the world of mystical creatures, witches and paranormal things and although the story really drawn me in I was a little lost as I had not listen to the first three books. Although that said it did not deter me from enjoying this book.

The characters are intriguing together and drives the story through them, with the searching for the lost ancient segments of the sword they encounter evil and good along the way. This is not my normal genre and sometimes I do find it a little unbelievable but I was invested with these characters from the beginning and wanting them to overcome the dangers and reach the prize at the end.

This story is well read and the narrator has a hypnotic voice which does have you listening deeply to the story. I think I will need to go back and start from the beginning to properly get the overall brilliance of this series.

The story draws you in from the first paragraph with the interactions between Wes and Elle are hot and smouldering. I loved the way that these two characters needed each other at the greatest time in their lives and with both having flaws it just makes these two characters more interesting to read. The twists and turns with in the story will have you reading this story with out a breathe but with Elle’s history and past you will be wondering how this beautiful woman is still so open and caring is wonderful to read. The characters are well written and I would love to be friends with these people.

I can’t recommend this series enough, you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

This is the first book I have read by this author and was so drawn into this book from the first page to the last. I love the way the two main characters find each other after so long and with Patience’s history from her abusive husband makes her hard to trust but seeing Duke the old feelings start coming back, I loved the interaction and the story was well developed and written.

I can’t wait to read more books in this series and books by this author.

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angela Shirley

Turning Wheels (Satan's Devils MC, #1)Turning Wheels by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when you do a good deed and it back fires, well that’s what happened to Sophie and now how can she get out of this mess.

Sophie is a great friend and within helping her best friend escape a horrendous relationship she becomes embroiled within a contract being placed on her head. So broken and at her lowest she is in the protection of a MC gang but can she survive her own demons as well as the devil who is her protector.

Wraith is the VP of the Satan Devil’s he can have any woman he wants but why does he keep getting drawn to the one woman he shouldn’t have, he is her protector but he needs to show her that she is still attractive and does not belong in his broken world, but getting close to her can he protector like he has been order too.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say I loved the premise and the action twists and turns which will have you on the end of your seat. Did I find the attraction believable with the two main characters, well yes in certain ways but sometimes I feel that the relationship was trying to fit a certain pattern which got me a little flat at times, did this distract from the story, hell know this was only my preference and is only a slight critic. The story was well written and fast paced and was a pleasure to read.

I also love the getting to know different worlds and although I have read a few books in this genre it was fascinating to read the way the group dynamic worked and the structures and rules. I will definitely read the next book in this series and try the other books by this author.

BRINK OF DENIAL (SONS OF SINDICATO BOOK 2) by SONYA JESUS AND CAM JOHNS – Review by Angela Shirley

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato #1)Brink of Denial by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

They are attracted to each other like a drug, but she broke him and now she is back, can Dane trust her again.

Dane is a dangerous man, next in line for the Sindicato but he has one addiction but she walked out on him eleven years ago but when he receives a call from her asking for his help can he really stay away from her.

Mila left eleven years ago and did not look back wanting to put her mafia princesses title behind she starts a fresh and becomes a famous model. One day she is blackmailed by an ex lover and as he starts to become a problem she decides to invite the past into the present but what will happen when Dane crashes into her world.

OMG, I could not wait to read this instalment in this series, after Seth and Braelynn’s story you get a peak at Dane but I have waited for his story to understand what smoulders under that moody exterior. At first I thought the character of Mila was spoilt and expectant of everything to be done for her but as the story goes on your get to see the kick ass woman she is.

The story flows and picks up in the middle of the first book, although this is the second or first full book in the series you don’t really need to read the first one to follow the twists and turns but it’s a great story and brilliant.

I love these characters and feel like I’m enrolled in the family and with each word your delve further and further into the mafia world. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and hope this story gets into the mind of Gia.

Sexy Drug (Losing My Heart Book 1) by Melody Calder – Review by Angela Shirley

Sexy Drug (Losing My Heart #1)Sexy Drug by Melody Calder
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I live in a world where I am a commodity to my father, but when a new bodyguard turns up can I make nice and tolerate him or will he shock me and see the real me.

Katie is the daughter of the big crime boss, she is an object to him but she is trying to become her own person but when you are watch 24/7 can I truly let my hair down and become the person I want to be.

Ramone started at the bottom of the pole, a drugs mule for the biggest crime family but slowly through the years he has progressed through the ranks and is now in the inner circle, the only problem now he has been asked to become the security to the bosses daughter, the only problem is he can’t stand her so this assignment should be interesting.

This is the first book I have read by this author and enjoyed this book from the first word to the last. The story is a lovely slow burn where you get to know the history and back story for both characters, I loved the way the characters play the antagonist to each other and while at the beginning they can’t stand each other but slowly get to know each other and then start having feelings.

The secondary characters in the book develop and draw you further into the story and the you feel invested in the mysteries and twist that this story has to offer. I really enjoyed this book and would love to read the next instalment and see if there are more answers revealed in the next book.

Riley is a grad student, working in a coffee shop to help with the funds but one day she see him, the man who she can’t get out of her mind although she is in a relationship but what she thought was in her past, may invade her future.

I loved this story and I love Amy McKinley’s novels and this is just as good as the other stories. The chemistry between these two characters was brilliant and drawn you in. Listening to the story draws you in and keeps your attention from the first page to the last.

I also think the secondary characters enhance the story and make this a un deniable great read. The tale twists and turns and brings both of the characters history to light which just adds to the mysteries within the story. I not only recommend this book and can’t wait to read the download book in the series but if you love this book you need to listen other series by this wonderful author.
