Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Is This Me? (Being Me #1)Is This Me? by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is book one of the Being Me series. I absolutely devoured this book! This book is a coming of age/new adult clean romance.

Amanda is a college freshman and she’s got it all planned out. She doesn’t expect that her plan will be derailed on the first day. Amanda meets up with her friends and is introduced to the brothers at her friend, Mark’, fraternity. Doug and Zach are two people she ends up being pretty close to especially after an accident leaves her needing a lot of assistance from her friends, especially Doug. Even though he’s turned her down, she’s determined to be friends no matter how difficult it is. Zach makes it a little easier though, that and avoiding Doug. Can Amanda withstand all the turmoil she’s facing and make it out unscathed?

I don’t like Doug. I did at first and his develops well but I don’t like him for Amanda. From the beginning, Zach felt more like where Amanda should end up. This book is deep and you can relate to the characters and the feelings. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

At All (The Adams Brothers Book 3) by Mindy McKinley – Review by Angelina Frazzini

At All (Adams Brothers, #3)At All by Mindy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At All by Mindy McKinley is book three of the Adams Brothers series. I couldn’t get enough of this series and this book! I read it in one sitting!

This book is Sebastian’s story. We saw a bit of Seb in Mason’s book and I wasn’t sure I was going to like him. Seb redeems himself throughout his story. Seb hit his rock bottom and now he has to work to prove he’s made a recovery. To keep himself busy while he’s grounded from touring, he teaches music lessons. He’s not psyched about it but he needs something and this keeps him close to music. This is where he meets Maelie. Maelie is happy with her life. Teaching is her dream even if her father thinks she should be performing. Maelie and Seb meet at the music store but they don’t exactly hit it off at first. Seb is convinced he can win her over though.

I really enjoyed reading Seb and Maelie’s story. I loved watching them develop. Seb redeemed himself in my eyes and I grew to love his character. I highly recommend this book and the series!

Daddy’s Girl (Freshwater Book 3) by Belinda Williams – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Daddy's Girl (Freshwater Book 3)Daddy’s Girl by Belinda Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daddy’s Girl by Belinda Williams is book three of the Freshwater Series. This book can be read as a standalone.

Em is driven and smart. She’s got too much to accomplish before she even thinks about settling down. Her father on the other hand thinks the time is now. Her father is always on the look out for men to send Em’s way. Starting a family isn’t a dream Em’s had for herself. That is until she meets Joel. What is it about Joel that has her picturing a different future? Joel doesn’t have time for relationships. He’s got a business to focus on. As he’s trying to close a deal with Mr.Georgiou, he offers to set Joel up with zen to get to know her more. Joel needs to close this deal so he takes him up on the offer, not expecting what he gets when he meets Em. He realizes everything Em is and knows he wants more than a hook up with her but how does he convince her he isn’t doing this to impress her father? Will these two alter the plans they had for their futures to make room for each other.

This was a good read! It was enjoyable and I really enjoyed watching the characters evolve and change and realize that that’s okay to do to make room for new dreams while holding on to the old ones.

Heartbeats and Roses (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Heartbeats and Roses: A Small Town Valentine's Day Romance (A Hartwood Holiday Romance)Heartbeats and Roses: A Small Town Valentine’s Day Romance by Jae Dawson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heartbeats and Roses by Jae Dawson is a Hartwood Holiday Romance. This was such a good book packed with everything! Second chances, forgiveness, small town – it has a little bit of everything.

Rose is such a text book romantic and truly enjoys matchmaking. As much as she’d like to find love for herself, no one has measured up to her first love. Maybe that will soon change. Liam has had a rough go of it lately and returns to his hometown to take a step back and get his bearings. He doesn’t expect to come face to face with the girl he left behind. Will fate intervene?

This was a sweet read. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I found myself really hoping things would work out for Rose after all the match making she’s done for everyone else. I had to find out how it would end! I recommend giving this book a chance!

Stone of Destiny (Juniper Samoni Trilogy Book 1) by Nadine Travers – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Stone of DestinyStone of Destiny by Nadine Travers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stone of Destiny by Nadine Travers is book one of the Juniper Samoni Trilogy. This book is a paranormal fantasy which is not my usual genre to read but I enjoyed it. The book was action packed and suspenseful at times.

Juniper has been tasked with retrieving the Stone of Destiny. The stone’s powers are too great for it to fall into the wrong hands. She has to get it before anyone else can. There’s always evil lurking in the shadows. Will Juniper be successful in her mission?

The book was well written as are the characters. The author keeps you guessing and throws surprises at you. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next. I recommend it!

At Once (The Adams Brothers Book 2) by Mindy McKinley – Review by Angelina Frazzini

At Once (Adams Brothers, #2)At Once by Mindy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At Once by Mindy McKinley is book two of the Adams Brothers series.

Gabi is working really hard to make sure the first big project G&K Designs works on is great. To do that she needs some really great furniture. Kylie takes her to AdamsMade and that’s where she meets Mason for the first time. Gabi is still healing and doesn’t expect meeting Mason to stir feelings in her. She’s just going to have to keep him out of mind. That would be easy if they didn’t end up working together on this project. Mason didn’t expect Gabi to say no but the more time he spends with her the more he wants to spend with her. Can Gabi and Mason work together and work on their connection as well or will everything fall to pieces?

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are great and I found myself chuckling every now and then. It was such a great read I think I read it in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down!!

Stormy’s Thunder (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2)Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett is book two of the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series. I couldn’t put this book down. I had to know how it was going to play out!

Stormy is who he is unapologetically. There are times that it’s easy not to like him. This book definitely gives him his redemption. It’s not easy. He’s got to fight for it. He almost doesn’t make it but he fights. There is more to this lost soul than one would expect though and his story gives you a chance go dig deeper into his character and watch him grow. I don’t want to give anything away but if you like MCs and the Satan’s Devils, you’ll enjoy Stormy’s story.

This book was very well written. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. There is so much going on and you can’t wait to get to the bottom of it but you don’t want it to end either.

Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Happily Ever AfterHappily Ever After by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye is part of the Happily Ever After Contemporary Romance box set.

The beginning of this particular story in the box set definitely grabbed my attention. I laughed almost immediately so I had to see where the story was going. Perrie and Ash had a fling many years ago and now coincidentally or maybe not so, they run into each other in Las Vegas and Ash ends up responding to Perrie’s roommate ad. Perrie can’t really be picky at this point so she sucks it up and does the best she can to navigate being roommates with Ash. She hates him but figures she can make this work. Eventually their relationship transforms. The book is so well written you can’t wait to see how things will play out with Perrie and Ash.

This book was such a good read. I enjoyed the dynamics between Perrie and Ash and watching them grow and change throughout the story.

The Longest Run: a Ski Patrol Rescue Romance (Lawson Family #4) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – Review by Angelina Frazzini

The Longest RunThe Longest Run by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Longest Run by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book four of the Lawson Family Series. This book, as with the other books in the series, can be read as a standalone. Honestly though, the whole series is too good to resist!

Carly has been carrying a burden for many years and she’s adapted so that she doesn’t have to get too close to people. Chris is focused on training. He doesn’t have time for women or relationships. Will these two find the courage to overcome their obstacles or will they get in their own way?

This book was packed with emotion. I couldn’t put it down. It felt like such a rollercoaster. It was so well written you could feel everything these characters were dealing with. I was really rooting for them to work out all their issues. This book was a perfect addition to the series!

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 2) by T. Christensen – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Jordan's Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 2)Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jordan’s Justice by T. Christensen is book two of the Tessa and Jordan series.

It’s been four years since Tessa saw Jordan last. This was definitely not the way she thought she’d see him again. Of course their first meeting, well really every meeting is disastrous. Jordan is sure he knows the real Tessa after what happened. He doesn’t even want to hear what she has to say about it but he intends to right the wrongs he suffered. Tessa is terrified because she doesn’t have the resources Jordan has and she’s afraid she will lose this fight. Will Jordan ever learn the truth or is Tessa stuck always being afraid of what will happen next with Jordan?

I understood Jordan’s anger but honestly he was not my favorite for most of the book. While it definitely fit the story and was well written, his anger felt over the top and his reaction to the anger felt extreme. I really just wanted to shake him so he would let Tessa tell her side. Tessa did what she had to do and she’s paid for it. These characters were so well written and you could feel the emotion in the story. I read this book in one sitting. As soon as I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down!

Crave (Clark Family Series Book 1)Crave by Evelyn Sola
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Crave by Evelyn Sola is book one of the Clark Family Series. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down!

Sandy wasn’t supposed to stay for the party but she felt obligated. Then, she meets Jake and feels an instant connection. While Sandy thinks that maybe just maybe there could be something between them, some drama happens and it’s too much for Sandy so she leaves. Jake can’t let her go that easy. He messed up, more than once, trying to convince Sandy to give him a chance. They can make it work because he knows she feels the connection too. Will Sandy give Jake the chance he’s begging for or will too much stand in their way?

I understood Jake’s feeling of betrayal but for a little bit I felt like he was hanging on to the anger way too much. That being said, his character developed very well and by the end of the book, he was a hero I could enjoy! Sandy is strong and independent. She doesn’t need Jake but she can surely enjoy the partnership. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more!

Fiona agrees to help the new transfer student from the football team. She definitely had no reason to believe it would be Connor. What were the chances? She thought she’d never see him again. Will they be able to rekindle the closeness they had or is there too much history?

I truly enjoyed reading this book even though it was on the shorter side. I wouldn’t complain about reading more of Fiona and Connor’s story! It was very well written you just get sucked in until the end!

Fighting for Us (Love is Worth Fighting For Book 1) by Bella Emy – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Fighting for Us (Love is Worth Fighting For #1)Fighting for Us by Bella Emy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fighting for Us by Bella Emy is book one of the Love is Worth Fighting For series. I could not put this book down! It was such a good read.

Carissa was happy with how her life was going. Sure she decided she wasn’t going to worry about dating anymore after the disastrous relationship with her ex. She’s content with the way things are going even if her sister and her best friend don’t agree.

Lorenzo has the only girl he needs. He’s also got help from his family so what more could he need. It’s not until he sees Carissa the first time that he even entertains the idea of having more.

Carissa and Lorenzo fight the attraction pretty hard until they finally talk to one another. They take it slow getting to know each other but pretty soon they’re both all in. It’s not until their first night together that there’s any sign of trouble. Lorenzo has no idea why Carissa booked it out of his house and he hasn’t heard from her but he knows it doesn’t feel good. Will they fight for each other or will that be the end?

I couldn’t get enough of this book. Lorenzo is everything you want for a hero/main character. He’s strong but sweet. Even though Mari wasn’t a main character, I felt for her. The author did a good job giving you enough of her story to keep you intrigued. I can’t wait to continue the series.

Holiday TerminalHoliday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee and Christy Anderson is book one of The Warren Family Holidays series. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down!

Penelope didn’t intend to get stuck at the airport in the middle of nowhere on Christmas Eve but now she has no choice but to wait out the snow storm. She never would have expected that the one person she didn’t think she’d ever see again would get stuck at the same airport. Nothing good could come from both Penelope and Artemis being stuck at the same airport, or so Penelope thinks.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It was a quick read because you get sucked in and don’t want to put it down. I could feel Penelope’s terror when she first saw Artemis and realized it could spell disaster for her. I also spent a bit of time being mad at Artemis. He has a few less than favorable moments. Overall, it was very well written and a great read!

You become invested in their feelings and the outcomes. I really enjoyed this book!

The Last Playlist: A Sonic EpitaphThe Last Playlist: A Sonic Epitaph by P.A. Kane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Last Playlist: A Sonic Epitaph by P.A. Kane is about music and how music is always there in the background of life. For many, music gets you through different things or helps you celebrate. If you think of a time in your life, you can probably name the music that was playing. Alternately, you may here a song that transports you back to a different time and place in your life. This book is a collection of essays of different times in the authors life that music was at the core of his life.

Music has a lot of power and sometimes we don’t even realize it. This book isn’t something I normally would have read but I connected with it more than I expected. Music has helped me through some of the toughest things I’d ever have to go through so I definitely understand.

High Heels And Mistletoe (Kisses Under The Mistletoe) by C.A. King, USA Today Bestselling Author – Review by Angelina Frazzini

High Heels And MistletoeHigh Heels And Mistletoe by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

High Heels and Mistletoe by C.A. King is a totally sweet Christmas story! I so enjoyed reading this book!

Julietta is not exactly a big fan of Christmas. She can’t quite be blamed. Her family does not have a good track record with mistletoe. Julietta has it down to a science though as long as she takes her vacation the same time each year. This year may be a challenge. She’s now working on the biggest deal her firm has had and it’s looking like that vacation might not happen. Luke happens to love the holidays and is really opposite Julietta for all intents and purposes. Luke never really wanted a relationship but the more time he spends with Julietta he’s rethinking everything. Will Julietta get over her dislike of the holidays and let the magic of the season work it’s charms?

This was such a sweet story, I couldn’t put it down! I couldn’t relate with Julietta 100% because I love Christmas but as the story went on, I could see she was warming up to it a bit. Definitely worth a read!

At Last (Adams Brothers, #1)At Last by Mindy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At Last by Mindy McKinley is book one of the Adams Brothers series. I couldn’t put this book down and can’t wait to read book two!

Lula is the sweet, shy, if not a little awkward. Dominic is quite confident and a bit of a playboy. Lula has one goal and that is to find out who her father is. She doesn’t have time for distractions between being the best teacher she can for her students and finding out about her father. Dominic never gets attached. He’s pretty good at it. What is it about Lula that changes his mind? All it takes is one night at a Jazz club. Lula doesn’t need complications right now though. What will the future hold for these two?

I couldn’t put this book down. I loved Lula, probably because I can relate to her awkwardness a bit. Dominic intrigued me a bit honestly. He seemed like a contradiction, which hooked me. These two together – whew! I absolutely recommend!

Grumbler’s Ride by Manda Mellett is book two of the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series.

Grumbler’s life is just the way he wants it. He never felt that he missed out on anything. All he needs is his motorcycle. He never expected things to get quite so complicated. Mary, as a single mom, is used to handling things on her own and she never expected to need help let alone that of Grumbler. He seems abrasive and gruff but the way he helped Mary and Alicia was so sweet!

The build up of the characters and the story was great and kept me hooked the whole time I was reading! Each book gets better as they go!

Breaking Tessa by T. Christensen – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Breaking Tessa: A College Sport RomanceBreaking Tessa: A College Sport Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Breaking Tessa by T. Christensen is a college sports romance. I should add that though I wasn’t expecting it, this book ends on a cliffhanger but is still totally worth reading! I know a lot of people don’t like cliff hangers but do not pass up this book!!

Tess is very much a stay out of the spotlight kind of girl. She doesn’t go looking for the attention. She stays in the background. Jordan is completely the opposite as the star of the basketball team. The first time Tessa sees Jordan, she can’t take her eyes off of him. Jordan notices but still goes on his way until they run into each other again. Tessa tried but she couldn’t resist him. They definitely have a connection that is more than just mutual attraction but they come from very different worlds. Will these two be able to make a relationship work or are they just too different?

I couldn’t put this book down! I’m pretty sure I finished it in a day. I felt for Tessa. She felt out of her depth with Jordan but she really cared about him. There were some pretty emotional parts in this book and I could feel everything. It’s very well written and I cannot wait for the next book!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Playing Series 3 Book Set by Stephanie Queen is a new adult sports romance series. I was so glad I read this as a box set because I couldn’t put it down and didn’t have to wait for the next one!

Playing for Love is a second chance romance. Gabriel and Mia definitely have some sparks but there is one problem, Mia’s best friend is Gabriel’s girlfriend. Mia moves to Boston though and that’s when things start to change.

Playing for the Money is all about the bad boy. Hunter has a terrible reputation even if most of what is said isn’t true. The current sexual harassment situation doesn’t help things at all. Now he has a “handler” to keep him out of trouble and make his rep better. Cat and Hunter are attracted to each other but Hunter wants to make it to the end of the season with no drama and Cat being the coaches daughter is off limits. What are they to do?

Playing for Keeps is an enemies to lovers story. Tate and Chloe are just about instant enemies. Tate can’t stand the media after an incident at his uncle’s funeral and Chloe is a sports reporter which is basically asking for trouble with Tate. While at a bar, Chloe overhears some information about Tate that she can’t help but investigate. Will this create more tension between the two?

I absolutely enjoyed this series! I couldn’t put it down. Each book had their own flare that just draws you in.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pharoah’s Forgery: Karina Goes on Vacation by Ellen Butler is book four of the Karina Cardinal Mystery series. You should definitely read this series in order because Karina finds herself on some pretty epic adventures and you wouldn’t want to miss any of it!

Karina has been in quite a few jams as Michael would say so a girls trip is a no brainer. Of course, Karina should have expected that it wouldn’t be that easy because of course she finds herself in another pickle. This book as well as the others in the series, do a great job of keeping you on your toes. You’re always wondering what happens next! I don’t want to give too much away about Karina’s newest mystery so I’ll just say, you always wonder what’s going to happen next!

The author does a great job of keeping you intrigued. You just have to know what going to happen next! I definitely recommend this book!

That Incredible Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is book three of the Kissed by Fate series. This book! I couldn’t put it down!

Ashley and Brian fought their attraction to each other for a long time. They shared one moment and everything seemed like it would line up even though they were both leaving after high school. Not everything is as easy as that and their family drama inevitably gets between them. Ashley matured from the spoiled young girl to a very strong independent woman. That’s the woman Brian meets again when he returns to Crystal Rock ten years later. Will their family secrets and drama keep them apart again or will they be able to move passed it?

I really enjoyed this book. Ashley wasn’t exactly my favorite at first but seeing how she grew and matured changed my opinion of her. Sometimes life experiences force you to grow and adapt. Ashley is a strong one. I highly recommend this book!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Deadly Weapon by Mark Nolan is book five of the Jake Wolfe series. Though it’s part of the series, this book can also be read as a standalone. This book is non stop action and does well at holding your attention! This book all too well can be related to real life which pulls you in even further because you think ‘what if’.

Jake and his ever faithful war dog Cody are at it again. So much happens in this book I couldn’t possibly do it justice but I’ll say, it all starts with a trip to Alaska. I’m sure when Jake planned to go fishing he had no idea what would happen next.

This book is so timely with everything happening in the world right now related to COVID. Totally relatable and definitely pulls you in!

While they show up when they are needed and support the other chapters, something just doesn’t seem right. Needing to get Road some distance from Tucson, Drummer sends him to Utah.
