ShatteredShattered by Lisa Wood
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shattered by Lisa Wood is Book one of the Rhodes Family series. This book is not a standalone and the books in the series should be read in order.

Olivia never expected she’d be in the position she’s found herself in but now she’s starting over again in New York City. First on her list is to get a new job so she can survive. In walks Gabriel Rhodes. Olivia feels an instant attraction but she’s given up on men and she certainly can’t feel anything for the man interviewing her for a job. Gabriel sees Olivia and knows he will do anything to keep her close. She is definitely skilled enough for the job and he’s throwing in some extra perks to make sure she says yes. Will Gabriel be able to act on his attraction to Olivia or will she stand firm on her no more men decision?

I enjoyed this book! It was a good read and I couldn’t put it down. I read it in one sitting!

The Autumn Leaf by Brittany Tarkington is a stand-alone coming of age story.

Autumn hasn’t had it easy. Making the decision to go from Texas to Washington state for college might have been the easiest thing Autumn has faced. Autumn plans to keep her head down, focus on school and do what she needs to do. That is until she meets Liam. Autumn keeps him at a distance at first but that just doesn’t work for Liam. He needs to spend more time with her and getting Autumn to tutor him might just be the way to do it. As Autumn spends more time with Liam, she realizes they have a lot in common. Appearances can be deceiving. Just because he seems to have it all together on the outside doesn’t make it a reality. Shooting Star (Back Door Records 1)Shooting Star by Xana Jordan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shooting Star by Xana Jordan is book one of the Back Door Records series. This is the first book I have read from this author and it did not disappoint.

Aiden, as a music agent, needs to find an opening act for his band and what better way then to hold auditions, especially since they are running out of time. He didn’t expect to find Aria. Aria is everything he’s looking for and even a what he’s not looking for. Her voice is so mesmerizing. Neither of them were expecting the intense connection they have but will they be able to make something of it?

Nothing I can say will do this book justice but it was so great! I didn’t want to put it down! I highly recommend giving this book a chance.

Being Lost (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Being Lost (Satan's Devils MC San Diego #1)Being Lost by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being Lost by Manda Mellett is book one of the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego Series. Manda doesn’t get it wrong with these MC books and this one is no exception!

Lost is feeling the weight of the MC on his shoulders. He didn’t expect to become Prez and now he has to make sure he does right by the club. The Tucson chapter requested that they keep an eye on a woman and her son moving to the area. Lost doesn’t expect Patsy and especially doesn’t think he deserves a chance. Patsy had to make an extremely hard decision when she decided to move away and start a new life with her son. Now, danger is knocking at their door. Patsy has lived her life. She doesn’t need a man. Which makes meeting Lost a surprise for her. Even better because he’s attracted to her too! Patsy is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. After all, she made an impossible decision and is sticking with it despite the danger she faces. Lost doubts himself at every turn but no way will he let that interfere with his obligations to the club. Will these two work through their issues so they can work on being together?

I couldn’t put this book down. I had to find out what was going to happen next. Patsy and Lost both went through a lot in their lives but still wanted to work through it all to be together. I really enjoyed these characters and this book!

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs, #2)Be One with Me by C.A. Miconi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Be One With Me by CA Miconi is book two of the Finding Love in Green Springs series. There is some overlap from book one so I highly suggest reading the books in order but that shouldn’t be a hardship as both books are enjoyable!

Sally and Nolan both know a little about cancer and the pain loss can cause. Sally is independent and intelligent bit after the loss of her mom, finds herself a bit lost and running from the only life she’s known. Nolan also knows the feeling of loss. He however had no plans of leaving Green Springs. He’s got his business to take care of but he can’t help but feel lonely. Sally and Nolan no doubt are attracted to each other and have in common the loss caused by cancer but is that enough for them to build a relationship on?

This book was so sweet but also had some very emotional moments. You couldn’t help but root for Sally and Nolan’s happiness. I couldn’t put this book down!

New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Carolina Kisses Book 2) by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Angelina Frazzini

New Jerk in Town (Carolina Kisses, #2)New Jerk in Town by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

New Jerk in Town by Sylvie Stewart is book two of the Carolina Kisses series. This book has a little bit of everything – second chance, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers. It’s definitely a good read.

Milo and Jill haven’t seen each other in 12 years and the last time they saw each other, it wasn’t good. There’s still some resentment even all these years later but now Jill needs somewhere to stay and Milo is stepping up. With them both staying under the same roof, they have the chance to get to know each other all over again because after all, 12 years is a long time. Jill is sure Milo is nothing but a jerk but will their time together prove her wrong?

There was so much tension between these two characters but through the book you could see their feelings toward each other change and progress. You can’t help but become invested in there relationship. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!

Dares & Dice (Spicetopia Book 5)Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dares and Dice by Phoebe Alexander is book five of the Spicetopia Series. This series can be read in any order but let’s be real the whole series is good so you might as well read them in order!

Makenna is out to enjoy her bachelorette party. I mean she took her bridesmaids to the Bahamas after all! If her maid of honor has anything to say about it, they will definitely be enjoying themselves at Spicetopia. What they don’t expect is that a bachelor party will also be happening. Ty is thrilled to be away from his family celebrating his bachelor party with his friends. If he won’t enjoy the wedding or even the marriage, might as well enjoy the party. Neither Ty nor Makenna expected the best man and maid of honor to conspire but they have and they are daring Ty and Makenna – all bets are off! Who knows maybe this party is just what they need!

This was such a fun book to read as are many of the other books by this author. She always pulls you into the story so it feels like you are there enjoying the events just as much as the characters are. I highly recommend!

Be Brave with Me by J.B. Havens and CA Miconi is book one of the Finding Love in Green Springs series. I could not put this book down!!

Meg never expected the tragedies that befell her. Even though she is strong, it proved to be a bit too much. So, for six months Meg drives. She drives all over running from her demons. He can’t deny the sparks between them and he’s not sure he wants to try. Can he convince Meg to be Brave enough to give them a shot? Will she stay or will Drew have to watch her leave?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love is What You Bake of it by Effie Kammenou book one of The Meraki Series. The book was so good, I found it hard to put down at times. I really enjoyed following Kally and Max’s story.

Kally is caring and independent. She is very passionate about baking which she shows with how she runs her cafe. Hawk's Cry (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #2)Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hawk’s Cry by Manda Mellett is book two of the Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. As usual, Manda Mellett wasn’t pulling any punches with this book.

Eli, on the surface, seems to have it all. His wife is expecting their first baby, he’s got his friends and his role as VP of the club. What no one realizes is he is drowning in just about everything. All of a sudden, everything he thought he wanted doesn’t seem appealing anymore. Liv can feel Eli pulling away and distancing himself. As they say though, two wrongs don’t make a right and Liv may have made a decision that wasn’t exactly the best. The only way to find out what happens with these two is to read their story.

These characters are so relatable. Many people face the same situations Liv and Eli found themselves in which add depth to the story. I couldn’t put the book down. I had to find out how everything turned out. I highly recommend giving this book a chance!

Holding Out for YouHolding Out for You by Anna Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holding Out for You by Anna Paige is an amazing brother’s best friend romance. I read this book in less than a day. I absolutely could NOT put it down!

Ashton and Blair have been in each other’s lives since childhood. Ashton is Blair’s older brother’s best friend so he’s always been around. Sometimes, Ashton made it pretty easy for Blair to hide her true feelings. No way was she going to let her tormentor know she felt anything other than disdain. Ashton knows how to push Blair’s buttons. He knows how to challenge her and he wants so much more than that from her. It’s about time he lets her know. Will these two continue to pretend or have they just been holding out this whole time?

The only bad thing about this book is that it ended. As soon as I started reading, I was in deep. There is some unexpected turns in the book and I didn’t see them coming but everything was so well written!

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Clay
Georgia Clay by KG Fletcher is book one of the Southern Promises series. This is the first book I have read by this author and I was nothing short of blown away!

Katie Parker is a self-proclaimed workaholic, climbing the corporate ladder, she’s proud of how far she’s made it. She makes a deal with her best friend and attends her ten year high school reunion. Boy is she glad she went because while she’s there she runs into Clay Watkins and he looks so handsome after all this time.

Clay couldn’t have planned it any better when he ran into Katie. He’s happy to see her after all these years and proposes they spend more time together. After spending the entire night talking, neither of them know what’s next but they know they want to see more of each other. Eventually, Katie’s presence in his life gives him the encouragement to take this next big step in his career. Will it change everything about their relationship or will it make them closer than ever?

I fell in love with Clay as soon as I met him. I picture a southern gentleman with quite the southern accent and he is just absolutely swoon worthy. Katie is definitely a strong female character and while she faces some tough choices, I think she made the right call, even if it went against her gut at first. I absolutely loved his book and can’t wait to read book two of the series. This book is a must read for me!

Georgia on my Mind
Georgia on my Mind by KG Fletcher is book two of the Southern Promises series. This book is the story of Hart and Gia. I loved this book as much as the first book in the series. I couldn’t put it down and finished it pretty quickly. The characters feel like real people. You meet them and you are instantly drawn into their story.

Gia is passionate about dance but unfortunately her studio isn’t doing so well and she feels like she is drowning in her debt. Because of this, Gia has a second job as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. This is how Hart and Gia first meet.

Hart is swearing off women since his last hookup cost him his prestigious job in DC. When Hart runs into Gia at a party for a friend, there is just something about her that draws Hart in.

Will their paths cross again? Will they fight for each other and their happiness? Read their story and see if they can put their unfortunate situations aside and allow themselves to be happy.

These characters faced real problems that they had to try to overcome, especially if they want to be together. I was sucked into their story and by the end, felt like I knew them. I absolutely loved this book!

Georgia Pine
Georgia Pine by KG Fletcher is book three of the Southern Promises series. This book can be read as a standalone but the first two books are so good you should just read them too. This book is Tim and Jessica’s story and I couldn’t put it down until I read the whole thing.

Jessica pictured her life being a certain way and a divorce is not what she pictured. As she’s coming to terms with what that means for her and her young children, Tim walks into her life and forges a bong with her and her daughters that she certainly wasn’t expecting. Jessica doesn’t realize though that Tim has a secret and isn’t necessarily who she thinks he is. Tim knows he needs to tell Jessica the truth but life has been much easier living where no one knows his true identity. He knows they are growing closer which only reaffirms what he knows he needs to do. Can Tim trust Jessica? Can they each open their hearts to something that might be great for them?

I absolutely loved this book. I loved witnessing the bond Tim was forming with Jessica’s daughters. I wasn’t expecting some of the events in the book but it just made it that much better. This book may have been my favorite of the whole series!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 4-6): A Small Town Romantic Comedy Series by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Angelina Frazzini

This Romance in Rehoboth Box Set by K.L. Montgomery has books four, five and six all in one convenient place. I highly recommend this box set as you can’t go wrong with any of the books in this series!

One of the books included in this box set is Badge Bunny.

Badge Bunny by KL Montgomery is book four of the Romance in Rehoboth series. This book can be read as a standalone but characters from the previous books are present in this book as well. This book is Brynne and Chris’ story.

Brynne doesn’t exactly find herself with a lot of free time due to her job. Therefore, she meets guys the only way she can. She can’t help that they happen to be police officers. But even so, her coworkers have dubbed her with the badge bunny nickname. She swears she’s done dating police officers after the last disaster but she certainly doesn’t expect to meet Chris shortly after swearing them off.

Chris is a Delaware State Trooper and finds himself pretty smitten with Dr. Miller. He can’t stop thinking about her and it works out in his favor that he’ll be spending a weekend in close proximity to her for his best friends wedding.

A series of events had Brynne and Chris bonding. Brynne starts to realize Chris may not be as bad as she originally portrayed him in her mind. Can Brynne let the police officer stereotype she has in her mind go and give Chris a chance? Will Chris finally be true to who he really is?

I really enjoyed this book. It evoked a lot of feeling but also had me laughing at some parts as well. You could definitely witness the growth of the characters by the end of the book and I was glad to be on that journey with them! Definitely a great book to read!

Music Man

Music Man by K.L. Montgomery is book one of the Romance in Rehoboth series. This book is a standalone and the series can be read in any order. I haven’t read the series in any particular order and I haven’t missed anything.

This book is Jack and Claire’s story. Jack has always dreamed of making it big in the music industry. Sometimes things don’t always work out to plan which is how Jack ends up teaching music and meeting Claire. There is an instant connection between the two and things progress naturally between them. Claire encourages Jack not to give up on his dream and as unlikely as it may seem, Jack gets a second chance at it. With Jack’s dream job on the table, what will the future look like for the two of them?

This was such a fun, sweet story to read. I’ve read other books in the series and each book has its own feel making it such an enjoyable read!

The Flip

The Flip by K.L. Montgomery is book two of the Romance in Rehoboth series. Similar to book one, this book is a standalone and can be read in any order.

This book is the story of Andrew and Sonnet. These two couldn’t stand each other in high school. Little did they know a decade later, they would be thrown together by none other than Andrew’s great aunt. They need to put the past behind them and work together if either one of them are going to achieve their goals. Will they be able to make it through what promises to be an interesting remodel? Did Aunt Penny throw them together for other reasons? You’ll find out once you dive in to this great story!

This book was such a fun read! A great romantic comedy that keeps the pages turning!

Plot Twist by K.L. Montgomery is book three of the Romance in Rehoboth series. This book can be read as a standalone. I started with book three but I enjoyed it so much I’m going to have to go back and read books one and two. This book is a romantic comedy and while I don’t read them often, this book kept my attention the whole time!

This book tells the story of Meric and Lindy who both are cast to play in an upcoming musical. Lindy has almost zero self confidence as she has always viewed herself and a plus sized woman but her voice wows Meric. Meric’s mesmerized by her voice and wants to get to know her better. Lindy is sure that she would never be the object of Meric’s affections. Meric himself has some insecurities and they stem from his failed marriage. He is sure he has no need for a relationship. But then he meets Lindy. Will these two get passed their hang ups and end up together?

I really enjoyed this book but what’s more is I enjoyed the characters. Even the secondary characters add to the story in their interactions with Lindy and Meric. It was a fun book to read.

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9)Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson is book nine of the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. This book can be read as a standalone. This book tells a really great story of love in unlikely places.

Samantha and Ben has a quick chance meeting under battle conditions in Iraq. As unlikely as it would seem, Ben and Samantha meet again when Ben arrives at the training facility in Wisconsin. Ben hasn’t been able to get Samantha out of his mind and now maybe he can do something about it. Ben isn’t only at the training facility as an airman though and Samantha is in danger. Can these two foster their relationship while making sure Samantha isn’t targeted?

This was such a great story. You are able to watch the characters grow and you can almost feel their love for each other against all the obstacles they face. I really enjoyed reading this book.

2am Secrets by M. Piper – Review by Angelina Frazzini

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2am Secrets by M. Piper is the first book I’ve read by this author but it most certainly won’t be the last. This book was so great and I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t put it down!

Sadie knows that her feelings for Archer could cause a lot of issues. After all, he is her brother’s best friend. She can’t help how she feels though. One night changed everything and as much as she knew it was wrong, she couldn’t stay away from him. Nothing stays secret forever though.

I absolutely loved these characters and their story. The book was so well written you felt part of the story. So many emotions and so much feeling! I didn’t want the story to end!

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book three of the Lawson Family series. This book similar to the other books in the series, grabbed my attention from the beginning and didn’t let go. The book is so well written you feel like you really know the characters. Their struggles become your struggles and you can’t help but want them to work through their issues.

Ben knows Danielle might be his only chance to get his act together as much as he doesn’t want a babysitter. Danielle needs this job if she has any hope of paying her family’s debt. Can Ben and Danielle help each other?

Out Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Out Of The ShadowsOut Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Out of the Shadows by Theresa Sederholt is a well written book everyone should give a chance.

Dane has a horrific secret. Not only is he ashamed, he knows that exposing his secret comes with great risk. Unfortunately, he can’t keep his secret anymore and he may lose the very person he was protecting because of it.

I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this book but it was such a deep story. This book was very well written given the subject matter. It really shed light on the lack of resources for men who are victims of domestic violence. It’s really easy to forget that women aren’t the only victims and this book did a great job addressing such a difficult subject. I highly recommend this book!
