King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story By Brienne Dubh – Review by Angelina Frazzini

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate StoryKing & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story by Brienne Dubh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

King and Hunt by Brienne Dubh is an enemy to lovers story. This book is a novella so it’s a quick read but it’s steamy and so worth it!

Gabriella and Christian have always hated each other. They certainly aren’t afraid to let each other know just how deep the hate goes. They call a truce temporarily but don’t expect that the hate they’ve always had doesn’t come back as easily as they would have thought. What happens with their relationship if lines are crossed?

This was a quick read but definitely worth the read. These characters are great and you can feel how strongly they feel toward each other. I definitely recommend!

Ink's Devil: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #5Ink’s Devil: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #5 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ink’s Devil by Manda Mellett is book five of the Satan’s Devils Colorado Chapter series. I suggest reading the series in order just because it gives you more of a background into the MC and other characters. Plus, the series is great so you can’t go wrong. This book is a romantic suspense. There are so many different aspects to this book. There’s mystery, suspense, and of course a little romance so there’s something for everyone.

Ink likes his single life. He has rules and he follows them no matter what. Until he meets Beth. Beth knows she shouldn’t expect anything from Ink. She knows not to fall for him but sometimes you can’t help what happens. Because of Beth, Ink ends up in jail is is facing a quite lengthy sentence. What will the future hold for Beth and Ink?

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set (Jake Wolfe #1-3)Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set by Mark Nolan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Jake Wolfe Series bundle Box set is books 1-3 of the Vigilante Justice Thriller series by Mark Nolan.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie is book one of the Jake Wolfe series. This book is suspenseful with major plot twists I didn’t see coming. Jake wants to leave his flawed past behind him but even he can’t ignore what he needs to do this time. How far will Jake have to go to protect the people he cares about when he accidentally stumbles upon the identity of a murderer?

Vigilante Assassin by Mark Nolan is book two of the Jake Wolfe series. This book can be read as a standalone or you can read book one first. As soon as I started reading this book, I was sucked in to the suspense and mystery in the story. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it.

Jake Wolfe is not your average character. He does his own thing, plays by his own rules. However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t protective of those that need it.

Lauren Stephens thought everything she had was perfect. Until she wakes up to her husband having vanished. This is when Lauren and Jake’s story intersects and their lives become intwined. Jake finds a lot of dangerous information while investigating Gene’s disappearance and has to protect Lauren and her children from what he finds.

What will Jake’s investigation turn up?

If you want a story you can escape into for awhile this is definitely is the book for you!

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is book three of the Jake Wolfe series. This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down.

Jake has some secrets. Now, his city is racked with fear and he’s being framed. Jake just wants peace but instead, he is investigating random shootings to determine who is behind them. Will Jake be able to end the shootings?

This book is full of suspense and keeps you hanging on to find out what happens. The characters are developed well and you root for them the whole time. It was a great read!

Lillie (Maggie Trilogy Series Book 3) by Mya O’Malley – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Lillie (Maggie Trilogy Series Book 3)Lillie by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lillie by Mya O’Malley is book three of the Maggie Trilogy. I recommend reading books one and two before diving into Lillie. You’ll better understand the story and you’ll also get to read two more great books.

Naomi and Bryce are newly married and Naomi feels her life is finally settling down a bit. However, the spirits can’t control when they need her help and they are back again. The time feels different than the others and Naomi can’t quite figure out why but she knows she needs to help this spirit before her world is torn apart. It won’t be easy but Naomi has to do what needs done.

As a reader who doesn’t typically enjoy paranormal, this book (and the whole trilogy) have been really enjoyable to read. The author writes a great story and weaves so much into the story that you are in deep before you realize it. I highly recommend this book!

Naomi (Maggie Trilogy Book 2) by Mya O’Malley – Review by Angelina Frazzini

NaomiNaomi by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Naomi by Mya O’Malley is book two of the Maggie Trilogy. Book one should be read first to fully get the story. This book has just the right amount of paranormal and romance.

Naomi attracts spirits that need her help. Now though, she’s busy moving forward with her new fiancé and she has little time to plan her wedding while celebrating her engagement. Naomi is visited by a new spirit now and this time, it’s a bit unsettling for her as it is someone from her past. Naomi just wants to move forward with Bryce and his daughter but there is a risk of danger and Naomi has to figure out how to protect those she loves. Will her relationship be able to withstand all that she’s dealing with?

I was unsure how I would feel about this series as paranormal isn’t usually my go to but once I read the first book I knew I had to read this book too! I truly enjoyed the story and these characters. I highly recommend this series.

Second Chance (The Flowers in December Trilogy, book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Second Chance (Flowers in December #3)Second Chance by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Second Chance by Jane Suen is book three of the Flowers in December trilogy. Though this book is the final book of the trilogy, it can be read as a standalone. This book is an emotional story that pulls you in until you’ve finished it.

Mary Ann owns the local flower shop which keeps her plenty busy. She doesn’t have time for anything else. Connor is only in town for his mother’s funeral. Neither one has anything else on their minds when Connor wakes into the flower shop and thus into Mary Ann’s life. Mary Ann and Connor experience some misunderstandings and Connor realizes he never should have left. Can Connor and Mary Ann get past the hurt they’ve experienced?

This book is an emotional roller coaster but definitely a sweet romance. This was the first book I read in the trilogy but I definitely am going to read books one and two because this book was so good!

Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) by Mya O’Malley – Review by Angelina Frazzini

MaggieMaggie by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maggie by Mya O’Malley is book one of the Maggie Trilogy. This book is not like many of the other books I’ve read. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I really enjoyed it!

Naomi is a very imaginative writer and tries to stay open to her surroundings and uses it as inspiration for her novels. Maggie has been a huge inspiration for Naomi and there is sure a mystery to solve. While Naomi tries to solve Maggie’s mystery, she also has her hands full when she meets Ryan and then Bryce. Who knew, after her dating past, that she’d find two great guys.

This book was very entertaining and I couldn’t put it down! I had to know what was going to happen next. It was impossible to predict what was going to happen and how things would play out which made the book even better to read. I can’t wait to read book two!

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Naughty & NiceNaughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Naughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander is book four of the Spicetopia series. This book can be read as a standalone. While this book is a contemporary romance, the author adds her own flare making it such a great book to read. There is a little bit of everything in this book – drama, surprises and of course you can’t forget the romance.

Natalie is the event planner at Spicetopia and her first big event is coming up. Did I mention it’s the bosses event? Micah agreed to officiate the wedding but he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Natalie and Micah are total opposites and while it doesn’t seem logical, the attraction is off the charts.

This book was actually a little thought provoking and gets you thinking a little bit around Natalie’s thoughts on her sexuality and the idea of virginity. Like I said, there’s a little bit of everything in this book. I definitely recommend!

Hidden Obsession (An Alliance Agency Novel #2)Hidden Obsession by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hidden Obsession by Maddie Wade and India Kells is book two of the Alliance Agency Novel Series. This book is a romantic suspense and it definitely keeps you guessing what’s coming next.

Cleo works at Alliance Agency as the office manager. She is smart, independent, and strong. Mason now works for Alliance Agency after being in the secret service and to say Cleo is attracted to him would be an understatement. Cleo isn’t alone in her attraction and Mason has his hands full. A stalker sets their sites on Cleo and Mason is determined to do whatever it takes to protect her. What will the future hold for Cleo and Mason?

I truly enjoyed this book! There was a lot of suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. It was extremely well written and I highly suggest giving it a chance. There is a prequel and book one you can read before this one but I didn’t and don’t feel like I missed anything in the story but some characters do make appearances from previous books. Definitely worth a read.

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery, #3)Diamonds & Deception by Ellen Butler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Diamonds and Deception by Ellen Butler is book three of the Karina Cardinal Mystery series. This book has a little bit of everything. It’s got danger, mystery, suspense and so much more. This book can be read as a standalone but for the full experience – recurring character introductions and backstories – I encourage you to read the first two books.

Karina is fiercely independent and recently her friend Mike has taken their relationship from friendship to relationship and they seem to have hit a rough patch. Karina is determined not to call Mike for help however she seems to attract trouble. When her sister calls her to help a friend, this time doesn’t seem to be any different. Karina and Jillian find themselves deep in a mystery that leaves them with a lot of questions. Will Karina call Mike for help when trouble inevitably strikes?

Claiming the Cowboy for Christmas by Kadie Scott is book four of The Hills of Texas series. This series can be read as standalones.

This was such a sweet second chance friend romance. I enjoyed reading and couldn’t put it down. Ashley is back in town for her twin sister’s wedding to Ashley’s ex boyfriend. It’s been exhausting trying to convince everyone that she’s fine and just wishes them happiness. Jennings decides to take a chance and step in to help Ashley sell that she is over her ex. It’s risky for him though because of the feelings he has for her. Will Jennings chance be worth the risk?

I really enjoyed this book as I did other books in the series. The characters were fun to read about and it was such a sweet and sexy read!

Pyro is by Melissa’s side during some of the best and worst times in her life and their friendship blooms into a relationship people envy.

Protecting His Heart: A Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book two of the Lawson Family Series. This book can be read as a standalone but the series is so good you just have to start with book one. This book is very well written and once I started it I couldn’t put it down. There are many elements to this book. There was a bit of suspense that definitely kept me on the edge of my seat while reading.

Rachel has dreams for her life just like anyone else. She’s also given up dreams like a lot of people. She won’t give up on the idea of marriage and a family though. She thought her boyfriend was the right before for that dream but it turns out he may not love her like she loves him. That doesn’t stop her from being loyal and forgiving though. Ian moved back to town as the town Sheriff determined to protect the people. He didn’t have the easiest past and it seems to still haunt him at times. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Battling Beckett by T. Christensen is a contemporary step brother romance. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I definitely enjoyed reading it. I couldn’t put it down! I finished it in one sitting.

Greer’s life is changing. Not only is she starting her senior year but she will be starting it at a new private school and in a new home. The only problem is, her step brother has made it clear she is not welcome in either place. Beckett’s not sure he, or his father, should trust the new women in their lives but he can’t deny the protective instinct he has when it comes to Greer. Greer can’t help the magnetism she feels toward Beckett either. Will these two realize their feelings for each other or keep battling through them?

I really enjoyed this book. Greer is timid but she stands up for herself when she can. Beckett may seem like a jerk but he definitely has a sweet side as well. I couldn’t put this book down and highly recommend it!

Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Collision (Shattered Hearts, #3)Collision by Nicole Banks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Collision by Nicole Banks is the third book of the Shattered Hearts series. This book is Chase and Kris’ story.

Chase and Kris have always had a back and forth type of relationship which you see quite a bit of in the first two books. Chase is convinced nothing can happen between them but gets insanely jealous and claims Kris as his if she even shows attention to someone else remind her she is his. Chase has to leave because of a deal he made to help Angel. He doesn’t want to leave Kris but it’s something he has to do. Usually he comes back but this time he chose not to look back. Kris couldn’t believe he left the way he did and now has been gone for eight years so she did what she had to do and moved on the best she could. What she wasn’t expecting, the day of her brothers wedding was to see Chase again after so long. Kris wants nothing to do with him and Chase just wants to win her back. Will they work through their issues or will Kris be unable to forgive him for everything?

This book was a great ending to the series. I had wanted to see more of their relationship and couldn’t wait to read this book. There’s also a lot of underlying suspense in the book that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen. I loved this book and series!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Out Bad by Janice M. Whiteaker is book one of the Sinners or Saints series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I really enjoyed the book.

This book is Joe and Gwen’s story. Both characters carry some pretty heavy demons from their past. Joe tries to redeem himself at every step. He wants to be worthy of a family and a good life. Gwen is a workaholic. She’s pretty sure her chance for a family of her own has passed. When Joe meets Gwen, he knows she’s just the motivation he needs to clean up his act completely. Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love StorySimply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen is a new adult/ romantic comedy. I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book but that didn’t matter because it would have met and exceeded any expectations I had. This book was so enjoyable to read.

Tyler Smith is not someone you would say has trouble with women. The only trouble he has is keeping them but he can admit to himself that’s mostly his fault. Then he sees the green eyed girl on the elevator and he’s intrigued.

Melanie has seen Tyler before. After all, they work in the same building. Melanie is not good with social situations and anytime she sees him she can’t make herself look at him let alone talk to him. Finally they meet officially and Tyler gets the date he was looking for. The only thing that might tear them apart is their love for different decades. Maybe what they say is true – opposites attract.

This story was so sweet and fun. The book leads up to these two meeting and spending time together but there is an instant comfortableness that the characters feel with each other that really added to the story. This was such a good book, I couldn’t put it down.

The Girls Across the Bay by Emerald O’Brien is book one of The Knox and Sheppard Mysteries series.

The storyline of this book is truly engaging and I couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out what was happening. The characters, Grace and Madigan were very well written and made reading the book more enjoyable. These girls bonded through tough circumstances and grew to have great strength. The small town setting is beautiful. I truly enjoy stories with these small town settings as it makes the story more relatable.

It was slightly distracting that the characters thoughts were italicized but I was able to overlook the distraction for the whole of the story. I would read the next book in the series.
