I Will Bury You was quite the YA thriller read. I was intrigued from the very start and enjoyed the storyline. The author managed to keep me on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the very end, constantly guessing about the outcome. I enjoyed the complex, intense, disturbing and action-packed storyline. It was certainly nothing like I had ever read before.
There were just a few things missing for me, at times I had to reread and go back a couple chapters thinking I had missed reading something since it seemed like a detail was missing but that wasn’t the case. So, I found myself having to piece a few things together on my own.
This was my first book by this author but I look forward to reading more from her in the future!

50 Shades of Gray…. with some Italian sexiness. This is the first time I’m reading something by S.J. Molly, she brought an interesting new take on the dominant and submissive nature of some relationships. I was really intrigued by their backstories especially because they first met outside their therapists office. The characters are well developed and I liked the different perspectives of the story. My only critique is that some of the dialogue was a bit repetitive. I also wish that the 4th book was also in the series.
Madeline Fay just got herself a new fan!!! Spiteful Punks is the best book I’ve read in the last two years….. what does that mean…. well out of the 86 books I’ve read since January 2020 this is my favorite. It’s DARK!!! GUT WRENCHING!!! NAIL BITING!!! TWISTED!!!! AND OOOOO SO SEXY!!! I’m a huge fan of Dark Romance (The darker the better) and I just can’t put into words how much I loved this book. The characters are expertly crafted especially Tillie, her multi layered character is absolutely perfect. She’s vulnerable but still strong with some sassy comebacks but most of all she’s a SURVIVOR!!! I can’t wait to read the next book. But be warned this book does have some heavy triggers!!!

I’ve always loved a good paranormal romance, but haven’t picked one up in quite a while. Revelations brought me back to my teen years when these kinds of reads were my absolute favorite! I loved that you got to know more than one couple in this book. Though it seemed to focus mostly on Zach and Emily, and I loved the start to their story. It definitely left off on a cliffhanger, but I’ll be coming back to see what happens next for this group of friends.

Revelations is book one in the Separate Worlds series by Izzibella Beau. This is a paranormal romance that begins in excitement, kept me interested, was dramatic and left me with a cliffhanger. Revelations is a dramatic tale that would really suit the young adult audience, but can be enjoyed by paranormal romance lovers of all ages. The writing style was smooth and easy to follow, as well as being attention grabbing and entertaining. A high energy story that was quite enjoyable. 4 stars.
The Husband (21st Century Courtesan Book 4) by Pamela DuMond is darker than the other books and is full of deceit, and revenge… Pamela as tightened the threads, added more layers and complexities, and it is all coming to a tumultuous head. I love that you never know where she will take you. It is a multi-layered story line and there are lots of emotions. It is dangerous and mysterious, as it is sexy and suspenseful, as it is dramatic, and it is definitely captivating in its uniqueness. It is also hot and full of lust and love, and loyalty.
Evie had quite a harrowing childhood and one tragic event shattered her young life and affects her past and presence. She is an empath who uses it to help others and is much sought after for her specific talents. Unfortunately, it is not just the past that is catching up with her.
I am waiting with bated breath for the arrival of the final book from this wonderful storyteller. Reviewed by @jennadb

Revelations by Izzibella Beau has a bit of everything your little YA heart desires. The author builds a world that draws you straight in. There’s teenage angst but not over the top and a good dose of chemistry with a splash of paranormal thrown in. I really enjoyed getting to know each of the characters and as this is written in third person, the reader gets more of an insight into the motives behind everyone’s actions. A cliffy at the end too. I recommend this book and I will be definitely checking out book 2.

This book went full throttle! I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I do not recollect ever encountering a dark romance novel before, but I am so glad that this was the book that introduced me to it, especially with the reality of said darkness. Whether it’s the crazy, the evil, or anything else, nothing is sugarcoated. I cannot wait to keep rooting for Tillie in the next book!

Try Right was my first book in the Aloha series, but I will definitely be going back to read the others! Jill Brashear created a wonderful world set in Hawaii in the 1960s – a very different time and age to today! The attitudes of men towards women amongst other things was well written even if they drove me insane as 21st century woman! The insights into the world of Hollywood/TV shows of the era and especially that of stuntmen like Henry were fascinating! Definitely recommended as a fun, somewhat spicy read!

I don’t know whether to love it or hate it. It was such a good read. Tillie such an amazing female lead. The pain and trauma just unimaginable. The strength that it takes you push yourself to survive when everything is bringing you down. I was amazing how she kept trying and pushing herself to be better. The guys were the part that made me want to hate it. I don’t normally do harem stories so for there to be so many guys I cringed. Thought this story is well written the cringe wasn’t bad. It will definitely take some getting used to because it’s not my thing. But the author delivers such an amazing story. That I am willing to get over it and keep reading.

This story was sweet and dreamy. Claudia and Henry are dream characters. They give you all the feels and all the romance. While searching for a lost love you would’ve thought Claudia would find a new much more tantalizing love. A love so pure it has the readers falling too. I really loved how the characters were written. You got to bond with Claudia because she didn’t let game go to her head. She was down to earth and real. Henry is a dream. I was ready to be written into this story just to shoot my shot to him. These are the type of male characters that make dating for reads in real life so hard. Are expectations are really high. We want a man with flaws but also goes above and beyond for his woman. Definitely try this author out you won’t be disappointed!

If you appreciate lesser-known mythology and are looking for a story that reminds you vaguely of some of your favorite adventurous, royal families, this book should be at the top of your list. Even if you’ve never read the other books in this series, it’s quite easy to fall in line with the characters. You’ll quickly pick up on their stories without feeling overwhelmed with the details of their various activities up until this point. The book itself is full of adventure and mischief and is surprisingly enjoyable. Additionally, I found that unlike many stories that split the story between characters, I was able to follow along, interested in the stories that these families had to tell. Ultimately, it’s a detailed little story, with characters that are relatable and well-written and writing that fits the theme without being dull or unenthusiastic.

The Inheritance: The Story of an Unlikely Submissive is a short story by India Kells. Although short, this book packs a big punch. This is my new favorite books by Ms. Kells. If you like your reads Sizzling Hot, this is the book for you. Lani is a young woman who is a budding artist, who is trying to get her life together. Max is a recluse millionaire keeping himself safe from the world. When they come together it is explosive and their chemistry is off the charts. I listened to this book in one sitting and loved every minute of it. This is the first book I have listened to by Antonio Turner. He does an excellent job bringing the characters to life. 5 Stars Key West Dead (Jake Wolfe Book 6) by Mark Nolan
Key West Dead is the sixth book in the Jake Wolfe Series by Mark Nolan . Although these can be read as standalones I do however recommend reading this series in order as it will give you a better idea of all the adventures Jake and Cody have been through and get to know the characters. Plus once you read one book your going to want to read the others. This is a grab your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next. I’m a huge fan of this author and this series. I really wish it was a series on TV, I think it would be a big hit. Jake is back at it again in this suspense story. Jake is attending a wedding in the Key West but he’s not planning on there being someone who wants to kill the wedding couple. Can Jake and Cody find the killer before his plan is executed? Find out what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I was pulled in from the beginning with Claudia’s surfing lessons, or I should say attempt at surfing. She ended up having a great connection with her trainer. We then jump ahead a few years. Claudia finds herself back in Hawaii and she is determined to find her soulmate and get her career back on track.
Henry is a stuntman that Claudia meets on the set of her new job. When he agrees to help her find her soul mate, they start to grow closer. Will they be able to find him? What will happen when Henry’s secret comes out?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, the characters were great and I really enjoyed this story. If you’re looking for a great read that pulls you right in this is the one for you. This is the third book in the Aloha series that can be read as a stand alone, however it does help you get to know the characters a little better. Loved it!

This is my first time reading a work by Toya. I am in love with her strong characters and world building! Delilah and Mason are hot, hot, hot! Running has become so hard for Delilah and she NEEDS to take a stand. After leaving Mason before she has no idea if he’ll be there for her again. Mason has wondered how he would continue living without her. The extent of emotion in this book grabs hold of your heart and takes you along on an amazing journey! A must read!

However, this is a hard time for him and his friends because they going through some not-so-human changes thanks to being shifters. While they are feeling the pull their mate bonds, they are also focused on revenge. They have a hatred toward the vampires since they tore their family apart. Emily has just moved in with her aunt and is forced to complete her senior year at a new school. Luckily she makes friends quickly…but she also catches the eye of Zach. Before too long, secrets are spilled that can put an end to Emily and Zach’s relationship before it even really gets a chance to grow. This book is filled with wonderful characters and the author’s words have a way of pulling you into the story so you feel like you are there. Once it was over, I was left wanting more…so I am looking forward to the next book.
This is a fun, whimsical read! Take it to the beach and get caught up in the world of Claudia and Henry!
Let the miscommunications, and the over thinking begin! The characters were enjoyable and the setting spectacular! You couldn’t help but love Henry and want to be Claudia. While the scenes were explicit at times, you could feel the energy between the two. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

This book was one I thought I wouldn’t like from the beginning. You really have to catch me with the cover and it didn’t initially grab me. However, I am glad I read it as the story did. I liked the characters a lot. I liked Henry in particular. He really seemed like a likable guy and I found myself rooting for him as I continued to read. There were definitely times I wanted to yell at the characters because I was so into the story. Would definitely recommend it.

The emotions and development of the characters were good in this book. But I felt there were times that things moved a little too slow, that it had me setting the book down and coming back to it.

First of all, I LOVE “The Last Kingdom” (Netflix show) and anything to do with the history of England and Scotland. So, for me, this book kept me reading, looking for characters that I would know from previous readings/shows/history (for example, Aethelred, Alfred, etc…).
Jay did a TREMENDOUS job describing each person’s perspective on where they were and what was happening around them, as well as how they felt. The way in which he described it all, I couldn’t help but feel for the Agneson clan. To have your family spread all over, never knowing if you would see them again, was heart wrenching. This was a fascinating read. I truly enjoyed reading about the characters’ adventures! Can’t wait to continue the story of the Agneson clan!

As a lover of thrillers and romance novels, I have to say this book is top-notch in both categories. It’s an easy read, and Vivian Fiano keeps you guessing. A wonderful job on a book well-written.
Try Right (Aloha Series book 3) by Jill Brashear. This book was so good! Its the story of actress Claudia whose career has dried up. The only part she can get is a bit part in a tv series in Hawaii. She can’t afford to say no and she has other motives for wanting to go to Hawaii other than paying bills. She met her first love in Hawaii 6 years ago and has thought about his everyday since. Henry is a stunt man and has always been fine with not being the leading man until he meets Claudia. He is smitten the moment he sees her walk on set. She’s gorgeous and he will do anything he can for her. When he agrees to help her find her one true love is he opening himself up for the heartache of his life? This book is so fun and retro. Do yourself a favor and read the Aloha Series today!

The SEAL’s Temptation (Wounded Hearts Book 7) by Jacquie Biggar. I LOVE these books. They are all amazing and each time I read one I think its my new favorite and this one was no different. This is the story of DEA agent Maggie Holt who is suffering from PTSD due to being held captive by a drug cartel. Retired Navy Seal Agent Frank Stein just wants to relax after years of being a Chief Petty Officer. He has a ranch and wants to just enjoy his retirement. Maggie thinks this ranch will be the perfect place to recover. Unbeknownst to either of them the drug cartel has moved into the area in the manner of cattle thieves, escaped convicts and drugs. While the two help Maggie recover they are also fighting the cartel and falling for each other. Will Maggie and Frank be able to finally put the cartel to rest and will they make a go of their budding relationship? Read The Seal’s Temptation to find out!
Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance by Amy McKinley 4 Stars!!!!
I really love the audio books. I like to be able to plug in my earphones and hear the book and go about my jobs. I love how the narrator is able to accentuate her voice and bring the characters to life. I was able to just drift off into the book and visualize the goings on. I really felt as though I was part of the story.
The characters are really brought to life by the narrator. I was really able to feel all the emotions Adeline was feeling and really routed for her and Stone. It may have started out as a rouse but it all falls into place. I really enjoyed this audio book and will definitely read and/or listen to more from this author.

I got grown up Twilight/True Blood vibes from this story. I did really enjoy this book and found the character development that took place over the course of the book really well done. I especially liked the Jacob and Madison character arc. I could tell that the author had considered each different character arc and how the plotlines would interlink, and this was well thought out. When Emily starts a new school, she meets Zach, brother of the school’s star football player and resident bad boy, and his best friend’s Madison, and Danny and Alex who have just started dating. I liked the supernatural element of this story and am looking forward to each different character’s supernatural abilities being shown more in the next instalment.
