Abby is turning 40 and everything in her is saying it’s time to have a baby. Her mom tries to set her up with an old widow which only makes Abby feel even worse. When she makes an agreement with her best friend to help bring a baby into this world, she can’t imagine anything going wrong. It would just be one time and then their friendship would resume. But how could it? They both realize they have deeper feelings, but Abby keeps pushing him away. There is plenty of steam in this book and the chemistry is palpable, but it is also hilarious! I don’t know how the author combined everything so well but I am looking forward to many more reads from her. I highly recommend picking this cute, sexy, and funny book up. It’s a magnificent start to The Beaumont Creek Series!

This was a really good book! I thought it was well researched and written as well. It was a very evocative read to me, and I found it very enthralling. It was hard for me to put down and hard to read in some spots. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would and I’m glad I took a chance on this one. This is my first time reading this author and I doubt it will be the last!

I’ve read a few books by this author already, but this one has definitely raised the bar! It is an incredible story focused on a paranormal romance theme and plenty of action, tension, and steamy scenes throughout. Baz is a rogue that has pledged his loyalty to Morrigan, but he wishes things were different. Very different. He keeps making plans to escape this reality and time after time none of them come to fruition. Delaney is kidnapped by this rogue and her protector instincts kick in. Little does she know she is his fated mate. The crossroads they’re at must lead to a decision…but which will they choose? This book drew me in, and I loved every moment of it. I highly recommend picking this up and giving it a chance, especially if you enjoy paranormal romance!

Oh this was such a sweet story! Abby and Nate have been best friends since they were children. Always there for one another. And now that they’re getting older…will they be there for one another in a way that’s MORE than what they’re used too? This is one of those books that just grabbed my attention from the very start and the characters are amazing! If you love a good best friends to lovers, one night stand, second chances book, read this! I LOOOOOVE Nate so much. How he’s always there for Abby just melts my heart. There’s a lot of humor in this book too and those parts absolutely killed me 🤣🤣 and as much as I loved this book it also irked my soul. Still makes it a good book though in my opinion. I want to feel all the emotions when I’m reading. Highly suggest this!

This was an enjoyable read that can be a good time for readers of all ages. We read it as a bedtime story for the tiny humans in one night. Both enjoyed it and kept asking for just one more chapter before bed until we finished the story.
The story starts with a bang that sucks you in from page one. Noah is a twelve year old child whose life is anything but super. Bullies at school, a dad with a low paying job, and a pandemic. A pandemic in which both people and animals are getting super powers. One his dad is sent out to work in. His summer turns into a wayward adventure with some new friends. Will Noah and friends solve the puzzle and uncover the truth to this pandemic before summer ends?
Looking for a book that can bring all ages together in enjoyment. Then this is absolutely the book for you! We cannot wait to continue on with this series.

I enjoyed the concept of an alternate history of the Romanovs if their English cousins came to aid them as they asked. The start of the novel is a little slow for my taste in a Historical Romance novel, but it did pick up the pace closer to the middle. I found pleasure in the added parts at the end of the chapter where the author connects the story present to the story past for Olga! The research portion of this Historical Romance was prevalent in the story and I appreciated the author’s authenticness. This story is told from the view of Olga and how she and her 3 sisters are rescued and rushed away to England. The Romanov sisters want to live normal lives but fear Bolsheviks discovering their hiding spot with their English families. Olga seems to be able to hold the fort down and keep her sisters in line until a person wants to slander their family’s reputation! She decides enough is enough and takes matters into her own hands! However, leaving the sanctuary of her hideaway and into the real world leaves her vulnerable to triggers of events that happened both in the past and present as she is trying to protect her family’s name! It doesn’t help matters when she meets the dashing Rob! Does she succeed? Will she allow Rob or Heathcliff to become too much of a distraction or want to unburden the truth to him? I hope you enjoy finding out as much as I did!

This is the second book I have read by this author and just like the first, she did not disappoint with this second book. I can’t wait to see what else this author releases.

An enjoyable book in one of my favourite genres. The plot was interesting and suspenseful which kept me reading on to find out whether Kaela puts her trust in the right person and working to survive the attempts on her life. The story is told from multiple points of view which gives a deeper look into each of the characters which I liked.
Each character has a distinct personality and it was interesting to see how they all bounced off each other (especially when you could see things from everyone’s perspective, it gave me a deeper appreciation for their reactions).
I’m interested in seeing where the rest of this series leads as it started off well.

This is another great book to add to this series, and yet another from this author. I am really enjoying this spin off series and the change of pace it brings. The characters are have a great chemistry, made even stronger by their history. I connected with them instantly and wanted to read more. The book was fast paced and action packed yet well thought through. I love the dynamics that the author brings to her books and this is just another example of why. I am already looking forward to the next book.

This is a highly entertaining story with one of my favourite main characters of all time. She is an absolute breath of fresh air because she is so real and relatable. I loved that she isn’t the typical heroine you get in a book but I think that just made the story so much better. The storyline of the book was great. It was perfectly written and really fit with Gwen’s character. This is still a pretty new author to me but this book is definitely one to make sure they are added to my one click list. I cannot wait to read more of this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this take on the Romanov survival rumours. There are the expected moments of suspense and danger for Olga and her sisters given their identities, but there are also unexpected secrets which are revealed as the story progresses.
I related to Olga as an older sister myself, I was often in the role of protector to my younger sister. Though our situations are vastly different, having that in common helped me to connect to the story. I admired her strength in trying to do right by her family whilst at the same time protecting her remaining siblings.
I think the research, which clearly went into writing this book, only adds to the brilliance of this novel. The historical details, make the whole thing believable and easier to read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping historical novel, which kept me captivated throughout. This story gives the Romanovs an alternate future, and the wonderfully descriptive narrative along with the added historical details brought the storyline vividly to life, making it a very realistic and immersive read. Grand Duchess Olga Romanova must keep her younger sisters safe as her parents and brother are missing, presumed dead. Meanwhile the Bolsheviks are determined to eliminate the tsarist regime, which includes finding and murdering the last Romanovs. The sisters flee to England and to safety but must remain hidden in order to protect their identities, but their isolation puts a strain on their relationships and they can not stay hidden from the world forever. However, when Olga learns of a rumour being spread by a peer of the realm that accuses her mother, the late Empress Alexandra of betraying Russia and her allies during the Great War, she must act to prevent it destroying both her mother’s reputation and her sisters futures. After all, she knows that her mother never disclosed military secrets to the enemy whilst under the spell of the scheming Grigori Rasputin. Olga hatches a plan to discover the truth, and so disguised as wartime nurse turned maid “Olivia,” accepts a position in Lord Hammond’s household. It’s here that Olga meets his lordship’s heir, a veteran who has a tragic past and who she has a complicated and potentially dangerous connection with. Overall she must discover her own family’s legacy, and keep herself and her sisters safe. I was hooked from page one by the engaging and intriguing historical storyline and by the wonderfully defined characters. A five star read and one which I definitely recommend.

Heartfelt. So much love in this book. Abby is a woman who feels the pressure of her biological clock. She’s always wanted to be a mom, but she can’t seem to find a partner to do that with. Nate, her childhood best friend, has always taken care of and cared for Abby, and now he wants to help make her dreams come true. A sperm donor who will be present in the child’s life, but as her best friend, not as her partner. Nate suggests saving money and making a baby the old fashioned way. They claim it will only be once, but who can really believe that? Read this book! It is fun, hot, hilarious, cute, and very heartwarming. It’s a love story you will never forget.

This book is the first in a series. While I definitely want to read the next books, this book works well as a stand alone. It takes place in the early 1900s and follows the Romanov sisters. This book is mostly about the oldest sister, Olga. The next book will be about another one of the sisters. It was quite fascinating reading of their rescue and their fear of being discovered. Their fear was understandable and portrayed quite well. There was a twist at the end that I did not see coming. That was fun to read. Overall, it is a wonderful historic fiction that is worth the time to read!

Baz Cormac is a rogue warrior, but this is not by choice, it is because he turned 28 before he found his talisman and had to pledge his loyalty to the Goddess, the Morrigan, so for the last three years, he has had freedom from a warriors restrictions, but also the necessity of taking the lives of warriors within that community, who happened to cross swords with him on the battlefield which the Morrigan orchestrates, he has also been gathering, training and leading a group of other rogues at the same time, whom he is planning to disrupt the Goddesses plans.
Delaney Ferrell is a young woman who has given up on finding her warrior and instead thrown herself into warrior training and her business instead, she is strong, fast and relentless with her training and everything else she puts her mind to, so when she receives a mysterious note which concurs with some rumours of rogues in the area she lives in, she decides to go and check it out as she already knows the area and will be able to tell if something is off there.
When Baz senses that there is a warrior nearby, he prepares himself for a confrontation, however, when he discovers that it is a female whom he has sensed, he is understandable reticent, but Delaney has no such weaknesses when it comes to a scrap with a rogue, this is what she has trained for and she knows that she has to put him down, so the fight for dominance between the two begins, but Baz is soon to discover that this woman is more than just easy on the eyes, she is a fiercely determined fighter.
As he makes the split second decision to kidnap instead of kill Delaney, he takes her to his lair and makes sure she cannot leave until he can figure out why he is so damn attracted to her, so in a desperate and instinctive act, he tries his sign on her and much to his astonishment it works and this is where he realises that Delaney is his fated mate and this throws his plans into complete disarray. When Delaney feels the reaction of her body to Baz and he explains why, she cannot accept the fact that she is the talisman of a rogue, especially since her Uncle decided to be one and brought shame upon her family, but will she be able to accept her fate and give love a chance, or will the Goddesses tear them apart before anything can truly begin? This is a fantasy adventure which is a balancing act, on a tightrope between good and evil, where one life altering decision has to be made before time and a Goddesses patience run out in this fated mates romance where secrets, lies, truths and revelations are all that stands between the darkness and the light and the answer to the question of which is the stronger side?

Baz used to be a warrior but when he turned 28 without finding his talisman, he chose to become a rogue. He couldn’t bear the thought of living in hiding trying to stay alive, so he chose to fight and find other rogues like him who still had some sense of honor left. Unbeknownst to him, his talisman can still be found and is very much in the area. Delaney Ferrell comes barging into his life when she finds a rogue (him) checking out her truck. She doesn’t take kindly to him being near her, her truck, or finding out that she is his talisman. As they work together to figure out how a rogue can still find his talisman even after their window of opportunity is missed, they find themselves stuck between the warriors and the rogues. Can they find a compromise to make it work? Or will they be doomed to be outcasts of both?
This series intrigued me from the beginning. It was fun reading about a rogue and what they might be going through in regard to how they feel when they don’t really have a choice about their future. Since the warriors are always fighting against them, it was good to see how they might feel when confronted with someone that they trained with that felt they had to pick the other side. Delaney is a strong female character that wasn’t afraid to hang with the boys or duke it out. All in all, it was a quick read. Definitely an adult read as the bonding is graphic.

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. This story centres on Baz Cormac and Delaney Ferrell. As a warrior, Baz had to find his talisman by the time he turned twenty eight. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t and had to make a tough decision. Either go into hiding or turn rogue. Hiding and trying to survive wasn’t him so he turned rogue and fought for the war goddess Morrigan. He hated it but made the best of it. When rumours spread that the curse had been lifted, he didn’t want to believe that he had another chance. Delaney was almost thirty and still hadn’t found her warrior. Presuming he died, it can as a complete surprise when she found him. When a chance encounter unites these two, both are thrown for a loop. Will Baz be accepted into the warrior community again? Can Delaney overcome the shock of being mated to a rogue?
The story is well written and I love that the series incorporates celtic mythology. The chemistry is off the charts and there is some really good action scenes. My only issue was the repetitive indecision that Baz had over which side to stay on, warrior or rogue.

Suspicions is the fifth book in the Notebook Mysteries series. It’s a great series of historical mysteries, set in the late 19th Century. I would recommend reading the series from the start – it jumps straight into the action (quite literally – the first word is Emma being hit over the head) so you’ll need the earlier books to get to know the characters and past cases they’ve worked on. I love how we see references to the previous cases as people come back to help out, so to enjoy that you’ll need to have read the others first!
By this stage in the series, Emma is confident and has a broad range of skills. She’s had the chance to work on some of her weaker areas, such as using firearms, whilst still preferring to play to her strengths. She still has to face being underestimated, but can find that works to her advantage.
There’s plenty going on in the story, with layers of mystery to unravel. There are a bunch of interwoven threads in a well-paced book that balances tension with moments of safety and warm character moments.
This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend the series to all fans of historical mysteries.

A variety of short scary stories to keep you up and awake. LOL! Each story was fresh and new by this author. Each story was scarier than the last. They got my heart pumping and my nerves on end. A true rollercoaster of a read. This is an author I had not read before. Her imagination was Wild and Scary. The characters were believable which made the stories so realistic. I will be looking forward to reading more from this author. “Read the story they said, it will be fun!”

I have been fascinated with the Romanov story since I was a little girl so I was so excited to read this historical fiction. Jennifer Laam did NOT disappoint! She had me hooked in from the first page. I was engrossed in this take on the Romanov Dynasty because typically all we see is Anastasia’s perspective; however, in this novel we get to see all of the sisters’ perspectives and that was absolutely delightful. Laam’s writing is fantastic and engaging. I cannot recommend this book enough!

This is the 3rd book to the Chase Care Series and it did not disappoint!! While this could be read as a standalone, I would still recommend reading this series from the start. If you like drama, action, suspense, emotional roller coaster with twists and turns and romance like I do, I would recommend this read.

This romantic medical thriller had plenty of drama and suspense which kept me gripped throughout. Pete Walter has been an Air Force pararescue jumper who is used to leaping into hostile territory, he’s also been a physician assistant and is now Clinical Facility Director for Chase Care. When he’s called on to help rescue a kidnapped mother and daughter he doesn’t hesitate. Meanwhile, Dr. Rowena Andersen returned to her family’s ranch in Montana with her two children after her divorce. She now works as an ER doctor at Guardian Hospital, and the rural location on the outskirts of an American Indian Reservation means she can keep her whereabouts secret. During a severe blizzard Pete and Rowena’s present and pasts collide, and their chemistry is just as sizzling as it ever was. Rowena soon learns that secrets are not easy to keep, but being older and wiser Pete is now more willing to sacrifice. As they begin a roller coaster of a relationship, they also need a miracle to survive. This was an exciting read, the storyline flowed well and the plot kept me hooked from start to finish. The setting and characters were brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative, and the chemistry between the main characters really came across in the writing. It can be read as a standalone story or as part of the series.

This is book 1 in The Stella Maris series. I really enjoyed this paranormal adventure. The author does an amazing job of bringing the characters and their stories to life. This story is fast paced which kept me turning the pages and I love how we get 3 different views of the story. Each character is unique and different but all of them have secrets that they are trying to protect but when danger comes for them the question is who can you trust and should you not trust. When Kaela is injured in an attack her life hangs in the balance. She would die if Terran hadn’t stepped in to help her. But hurt in the process Kaela uses her magical gift to heal him. Now they both have opened their secret up to another person but was that a wise decision? Could I be the start of a trusting friendship or could it be the biggest mistake either of them will ever make. This reluctant alliance seems to work until Seth appears. Seth recognises Kaela as the same as himself and he wants to teach her all about what and who she is. He offers her a job and a place of safety when another attempt is made on her life but there is one person in the way and that is Terran.
Will Kaela choose the right person to trust? With danger lurking around the corner and clearly after her what could be the consequences of trusting the wrong person? Will Terran and Seth be able to work together to protect Kaela? With everyone not knowing who to trust and who not to trust will it be possible at app to work together or will their lack of trust be just want the enemy is hoping for to make getting to Kaela easier. I enjoyed this books and can’t wait to see where the series goes

There was a lot of action in this book. I really liked Peter as a character. I thought the insertion of Rowena was crafted nicely. I thought that the plot moved along well and was engaging. I definitely would pick up others by this author.

This book is amazing. It is packed with action and suspense. I could not put it down. The author did a great job with making the characters enjoyable. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a captivating book.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book. I never hesitate to pick up one of this author’s books. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help your enjoyment of this series and author. It is always great to see where the characters come from to where they are now. I enjoyed reading this book just as much as the first one, maybe even more. I found this book to be fast paced and full of romance and action. It is hard to put down as it is that engaging. A well written story where Jace and Cyrus are faced with a race against time and a choice to save themselves or their souls. They are great connectable characters that are my favorite. I enjoyed what they brought to the story and their chemistry is great together. They pulled me into their world and had me coming back for more. This is an easy and entertaining story to read and one you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.
What a delightfully entertaining tale! I love paranormal tales with a bit of the unexplained. A shifter and a healer with secrets. But…I think that things are not as they seem? I found this story to be one that hooked me right from the start. The action began right from page 1 and didn’t stop. The characters are well-written and relatable. The storytelling is such that it’s every engaging and keeps you interested. I couldn’t put it down. I am also a big paranormal fan. I love anything to do with out of the ordinaly so this is a winner in my book. I can’t wait for the next one.
