L.D. Rose has done it again, Vermilion Lies has been another excellent addition to the Order of the Senary series. It was a fast paced read, that left me on the edge of my seat, wondering what could happen next. With each book in this series, L.D. Rose creates more characters that really stand out and tell their story and keep it flowing. I was totally hooked with this book, i didn’t want to put this read down. Dax and Cindel have an intense and undeniable connection that i found real. This book had romance, danger, action and suspense, and was written in a way that made it mentally visual and as though you was there living out the story with the characters. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! How many more times can I possibly say that Brandi Elledge just continues to get better and better! Book 1 was an incredible start, exciting and a brilliant introduction Book 2 was thrilling, exciting and totally captivating from the start. This book The Vampire Queen has been incredible from start to finish.

Tandi and Stephan have now become my all-time favourite through this whole series, while the other characters in previous books have been amazing to follow, there is just something about Tandi & Stephan that has made me smile the entire read! I absolutely loved the banter and the back and forth these two had, but also the protectiveness that both of them showed each other at certain times. You could tell something would come of these two as their connection was undeniable even if they tried to ignore it when it was in plain sight.

I loved learning along with characters, especially finding out all what was beneath the surface of Tandi and her unusual behaviour towards Vampirism. I also loved reading that there was more to Stephan than what we found out in previous books, whether that was the amount of power he actually possesses and of the heartache he has had to face at the hands of the Vampire Queen.
Again Brandi Elledge has created a mentally visual read that I could picture the entire time I was reading this captivating, thrilling, suspenseful read, I can not fault the writing, the plot or the characters whatsoever. Everything about this book I loved! I once again would just love for it to have been in dual POV there were many scenes with Stephan that I needed to know what he was really thinking and feeling!

Death and the Crone is Book 3 in The Lucky Devil Series. After reading the previous two books in the series I was more than happy to get the follow on book, but this one intrigued me even more as the storyline and the characters are not something that you would usually put together in a supernatural/fantasy read.
But nonetheless, this book was just as interesting, captivating and packed full to the brim. The storyline was easy to follow, the characters are well developed and it was an enjoyable book from start to finish.

The Queen of Witches (Wheel of Crowns Book 2)The Queen of Witches by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, Book 2 in The Wheel of Crowns Series has just stepped up a notch. When I thought the suspense, action, adventure and sexiness of the men in Book 1 was a lot, Brandi Elledge brings us The Queen of Witches. Once again the read was captivating, thrilling and action-packed from start to finish and I couldn’t put it down.

This was a mentally, visual read that with the descriptive writing I could picture this read in my mind while reading it, I loved this take on the supernatural world and can’t wait to see where the rest of this series takes us. This author has created another extremely independent, fierce and amazing lead female, that through this story continues to show how powerful she can really be and how well she transitions into this new life she has come unexpectedly into. Once again the immediate attraction between out two main characters Charlie & Jamison is real to watch develop, even with everything they have to face they still manage to find the time to really look at each other and see the feeling and affection that blossoms there.

Another thing that Brandi Elledge brings to each of these books is the humor element of the story, and this time it was in the form of the incredible friend Tandi, I absolutely loved her, I loved her commentary that she would give and the little comments slipped here and there into the conversation just made this book even better.
My only issue is would love this read in dual POV’s there were moments in this book and Book 1 that you really needed to get the male leads POV, I think that would just make these reads that one step deeper.

Overall I have loved everything from this author, there is not one thing I can fault about this epic supernatural realm I’ve been cast into and I’m loving every second I’m reading of it! Do not miss this read, I will eagerly be awaiting Book 3 to see who’s journey we face next!

This is my second read from the Colorado Chapter series and I am never in doubt that I will enjoy the book. What makes this read even better? The Characters. I immediately loved our two main characters, Noah & Luna, you could tell from the start that they have a connection and I’m glad it wasn’t a drawn out romance, what they had was real and you could tell how deep and far their feelings go.
I read this book in one sitting and couldn’t put it down, it had romance, passion, action a bit of thriller threaded through the story. Little Miss Eyes of Blue is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte written by Holly Tierney-Bedord, but with that being said, I think you could read them in any order.

I already loved reading about Veloura’s journey in the previous book, but to go back to the beginning and see what she goes through gives you a mixture of emotions. You can understand more now the reasons why she is how she is, but after reading this you want to go back and re-read the previous book just so you can let that one sink in even more and get to love Veloura all over again!

I was drawn in with this story and found myself not wanting to put it down. It was captivating and was written brilliant by Holly Tierney-Bedord, she never fails to write an epic book, that’s entertaining, flows from chapter to chapter and creates brilliant characters.
I totally recommend this read, you won’t be disappointed by it. Don’t Miss it!

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Chantelle Smith

Drawing BloodlinesDrawing Bloodlines by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drawing Bloodlines is Book 1 in The Princeton Allegiant Series a new series by author Deborah Garland. This is my first read from this author and after experiencing this read, it most certainly will not be my last. I would love to read more from this author whether that’s other books or more from this series, I can’t wait to see where she takes it!

Its been a while since I read a vampire read, and boy this didn’t disappoint. It has elements of what you already have read or know about vampires, but it also has its own spin and take on the Vampire world. To me, this book was a mentally visual read! I loved the characters, the storyline and even the twists that are thrown at you along the way. This book was captivating, thrilling and entrancing from the beginning until the very end. I absolutely loved Alexander – he was everything and more, I could totally understand the impact he was having on Elizabeth as he made an impact on me. This book has elements of danger, action, romance, steaminess and pure passion. This was an excellent read from start to finish, it flowed effortlessly from chapter to chapter and from each being in dual POV’s. I loved that we got to experience what our main characters were really thinking and feeling, it made you understand them more and then, in turn, love them even more.
I’m so glad I got to experience this read, and enjoy following Elizabeth & Alexander’s journey to what I hope will be the Happily Ever After they both deserve.

I can’t wait to see what else this author bring to this series, but until then do not miss this read!

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D. Frettier – Review by Chantelle Smith

Flirty DancingFlirty Dancing by J.D. Frettier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flirty Dancing is book 3 in The Green Room Chronicles Series by Jennifer Theriot. These books can be read as a stand-alone as each book follows new intriguing characters and storylines.

I really enjoyed this read and each character that was involved in the story, Dee, Bonnie & Linda were bright and supportive for Kitty and just want she needed when she unexpectedly passed over to “The Green Room”. This book has humour, raw emotions and while its sad to think that Kitty was taken from her family and kids too early there was something fun about this read, I liked how she was taught channeling so that she can go back and see her kids and visit with Sam. With this being my first read from this author, I really didn’t know what to expect but after this quick, easy flowing & captivating read I will be looking forward to reading more from her, and what else will come of this series.
