What a great read! The book had my attention from the start. Loved the characters and had no problem connecting to their life, friends, and emotions. Great world building by the author, not only in New York City and other locations around the world.
Amy and Dean don’t seem to get along at the beginning but man their connection soon brings you to smile and be frustrated for what they’re going through. Oh how ones experiences can twist our perceptions and change us in ways we don’t expect.
I loved this story and I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I am always so excited to pick up a book by this author and I was equally excited for the second book in this series. I loved the characters as soon as I started reading. They connection was undeniable, no matter how much they wished it weren’t. I found them to be engaging and entertaining, adding so much to the overall story. This book is everything I have come to expect from this author. It is well written, a great story and just an overall amazing read. It pulled me in straight away and I got lost in the story and the characters. This is yet another fantastic book from an incredible author and I cannot wait for the next book.

My complete opinion is this story just seemed a little unrealistic. But put that aside, the character perspectives were written well. I didn’t really like Elyse because I felt she was a bit trashy and out for an easy target. She really didn’t focus on Becky as she should have.
Shameless Love is the second book in KG Fletcher’s The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. The story alternates between the views of Walter Bennett and Elyse Farrell. Walter Bennett has moved into the Kirby residence after purchasing the property from Mrs. Kirby. Glen Kirby, her son, still blamed Walter’s brother, Ted, for the death of his brother, Joe. Something subconsciously makes Walt take extra precautions while he is at his new home. While Becky is visiting Walter, a cat shows up, and its collar shows it belongs to Mrs. Kirby. Walt names the cat Garth.
Elyse Farrell and Albert Tompkins have come from Atlanta to ask Becky if she would like to do a screen test. Becky is unsure if she wants to go alone. Elyse offers to hire an assistant for Becky, but Walter states that he will accompany her. Elyse manages to schedule Becky and Walt before New Year’s Eve. She has her eyes on Walt, hoping to catch his attention as well.
After Walt and Elyse both acknowledge their attraction to each other, they end up spending the New Year’s Eve weekend together. Things don’t work smoothly when Becky is dressed professionally and the camera crew zooms in on her cleavage. Walt punches one of the cameramen. Becky decides she isn’t going to continue with the screen test because she isn’t comfortable with the circumstances. Elyse shut Walt out and refused to acknowledge their potential relationship.

Jack is Issac’s past that he never has been able to get over. With unforeseeable circumstances Jack’s back in the picture and in danger. Soon he realizes Jack’s daughter is his and that he missed out. Fate has a way of catching up with what’s meant to be regardless of circumstances. Very good book I highly recommend.

This is a really well written slow build romance. Honestly it almost reads like a “How to build a good relationship” style book in a way. With some self-help, healthy friendships, and a really nice irritating friends to lover’s story. Our male lead starts off getting left at the altar of his big grandiose wedding and ends up accidentally meeting the woman who is his opposite and life saver. I really can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this book!

Ella has just lost her sister, Chrissy, to cancer and is now caring for her 2-year-old niece, Tessa. Life is challenging but Ella would not have it any other way, treating Tessa like her own. Ella receives a summons, in Chrissy’s name, to Taylor Law from a stranger claiming paternity and potential custody of Tessa. Chrissy never revealed who Tessa’s father was so Ella is worried they will take the little girl that her family cling to in loving memory of her sister. Meanwhile, Jake is just protecting his family from being taken advantage of after receiving a letter claiming his cousin is the father. This story follows Ella and Jake as they work it out and their mutual attraction grows between them.
Jennifer Raines is now an author I will automatically read! This was a great read. Such depth and heart. Ella is strong and sassy, and I loved the banter between Jake and Ella. The Australian setting was fantastic. The story was so well thought out with a twist you don’t see coming and cleverly crafted characters – some with big hearts and others that I despised – a clear indication the Jennifer is amazing at this whole author thing! I definitely recommend!

OMGosh! Another heartwarming showstopping story in this series and from this author. I could not love this series more! The writing is impeccable and filled with emotion that flies off the pages. The characters are full of heart and emotion. I love the whole family dynamic. I completely bonded with Elyse in here as she has not seen her family in years and is surprised at how together the Bennett family rallies. Seeing her watch his family and learn how to count on them as her own makes her yearn to reconnect with her own family. I love that Walt tells her that “the power to make that change is all hers”. Very strong words.
These books are some of my favorites to read. I actually devoured this one in a day.(24 hrs). The family together is one of my favorite things. Also that they run a Christmas tree farm but also grow wine that we always learn a bit about. Very cool as it covers year around financially. Plus Walt smelling of pine..who could turn that down. That epilogue really made my heart pitter patter and tears to my eyes! Well done!

Wow. This book was such a god read. I rode the rollercoaster of emotions with this one. The twists and turns and budding love got me hard. Grace has the weight of the world on her shoulders and doesn’t think she can accept help especially from Ryan. It isn’t what she envisioned for her farm. The character growth is *chefs Kiss* and I probably cried more than I care to admit. It was sweet, exciting, and in a sense relatable! Loved this one!!!

This book was excellent. It built and burnt slow, the character progression was amazing and it was just a really good ebb and flow of a read. I devoured it totally, I was obsessed with Dean and Rae and the enemies to lovers dynamic with the mix of love triangle. It had it all and was genuinely happy when it finished!

I have really enjoyed the Anderson sisters series both books were quick easy reads with great characters and unique stories to each of the girls. Each book can be read as a standalone so the order doesn’t really matter. Just pick a book and enjoy!

A slow start but good read that surrounds two heart warming characters whom being at odds with one another. Being on completely different sides of the narrative while sharing a joint loss brings them together and closer than they thought possible. It deals with grief, love, and drama, and overall a good read. This book focused on development of both characters and story more than excitement and drive, so it was a hard start but good finish.

Even whilst these charming characters were in straight up denial, their chemistry was palpable. It was quite fun reading the spicy dynamic between these new lovers. Each of their personalities are so genuine and quirky and unique, which kept the reader engaged. I love entering a newly created fictional world, knowing there is more to come in upcoming books with some of our favorite characters. On to the next!

My heart……..this was a really good story with romance and heartache….I thought the first book in this series got me a bit….this one got me as well and took me on another roller-coaster of emotion. I love becoming enveloped in a story that just full of emotion and some raw moments.
Both Grace and Ryan have had such loss in their lives. Grace loses her best friend and Ryan loses his brother to suicide. Grace is trying to keep it together, with not only losing her best friend, but the threat of her family farm as well. When Ryan loses his brother and feeling at fault, he leaves and decides to go in business…no strings nor attachments. When opportunity knocks and Ryan comes back to sell his mom’s farm, Ryan also tries to buy part of Grace’s land. Will both Ryan and Grace come to terms not only in regards to the farmland but their hearts?

This story was enjoyable and definitely tug at my heart strings……with romance, drama, grief and secrets. When Ella’s sister passes away, Ella now becomes the guardian of her niece, Tessa. Ella navigates raising Tessa and trying to work and support her. When legal matters approach Ella with being Tessa’s guardian, Lawyer Jake Taylor just wants what is best for his family while being very leary of Ella and Tessa. All Jake wants to do is protect the hearts of his aunt and uncle, whom after meeting Tessa fall in love with their little grandchild. But as Jake gets to know Ella…will Jake do what is best for both his family and for Tessa and Ella as he also navigates feelings for Ella?
This story was a roller-coaster of emotions for sure….and definitely full of secrets. I loved the little bit of slow burn between Jake and Ella. Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

Echoing Hearts is book one in CR Alam’s The Echo Series. Dean and Rae were quite the interesting pair. Though they were both stubborn, they were also scared and just wanted to be loved – even if they didn’t seem as if they did. Though Dean felt dry in a romance novel aspect, he felt real, like someone I would or could know. Rae was the sunshine in your cloudy day and always the positive one. I loved that about her character. I felt as though I truly got to know the couple as individuals. It made the story that much better. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was an amazing read that filled me with so many emotions! I did not read the first book in the series, but after reading this one I will definitely pick it up to start from the very beginning. Grace lost her very best friend to suicide, which is heart-wrenching all in itself. The loss of her friend hits her terribly hard (understandably) but then she is faced with a difficult task; buy her parents out much earlier than she has planned, or lose their family farm altogether. Ryan enters the picture with some solutions, some a few demons, and an insane chemistry with Grace. Will they end up being a great team, or will their decisions alter their life for the worse? I highly recommend this astonishing, emotionally charged book. I’m heading to pickup the first in the series right now!

Echoing Hearts was a good romance book. It starts with Dean, a successful, handsome, CEO, getting stood up at the altar. Then three years later, he is a changed man who is just walking through life. Rae, is a renowned travel blogger who is asked to go do a piece for Home Magazine on a house in the south. Rae does not know who the house belongs to and seems confused when she pulls up to an empty house, however, it actually isn’t empty when she stumbles upon a sexy man doing laps in the pool. Their meeting was rocky, he didn’t want to be disturbed, and she told him how it is. They quickly however learned to tolerate each other for that short weekend Rae would be doing the piece. Months later Rae is attending an event for her BFF Brandon who fronts a band – Dean happens to own the company that signed the band. The two have sporadically thought about each other, but due to the rocky start were intimidated about running into one another. However, the two do meet and begin a friendship. This quickly turns into something else but you have two individuals not wanting or not “available” for a relationship. Rae doesn’t believe in love and Dean is still “dealing” with being left at the altar. Can the two of them find a middle ground to further their friendship and get over their pasts? As I stated before, the book was cute. The banter between the characters was on point. The book was a little longer but the chapters went quickly. Rae is an independent, straight shooter. Dean is a stuffy, misunderstood, heartbroken man, but at the same time has an air about him. The two complimented each other well. However, as a 40-year-old woman, I am getting tired of the “miscommunication” romance. The book seems to have a lot of moments where if you just say something and listen carefully, the drama could be avoided, but I guess we live for the drama. I did like how you could feel the change in both characters and the love jumping off the page. I will be interested in reading the next book in the series.

I couldn’t wait to read this book! I read the prequel “Night Hawke” and it definitely left me hanging to read this book. When Jack (Giacomina) and her daughter Vivi are ripped out of their home due to a threat, they end up at Jack’s dad’s best friend’s business in the heart of New Orleans. When he walked into the room, Jack didn’t even have to turn around to know he just walked into the office. Nolan (Isaac) was now face to face with the woman who stole his heart and broke it all in one weekend five years ago back in Chicago! These two have so much chemistry. It was a page-turner that I could not put down!

Grace Under Fire is the second book in Jennifer Raines’ The Anderson Sisters series. It can be read as a standalone, as it follows a different sister from the first book, but if you plan to read both I’d recommend reading them in order to avoid spoilers. Grace is a cheesemaker and stands to take over the farm that has been in her family for generations. She’s used to being independent and relying on herself, but is still building her business and isn’t yet ready to buy the farm. But she has to, soon, or lose it forever. Which means she’s forced to accept help from others – family, those in the community who want her to succeed. And the brother of her best friend, who she hasn’t spoken to since the friend’s suicide many years ago. This is an emotional read about accepting help and coping with challenging situations. The relationship between Ryan and Grace is well written – they’re both open about their attraction to each other, but reluctant to get involved with each other when there is so much for them to work through. I like Ryan’s dog, Satan, who breaks the tension and helps us see Ryan’s caring side. And Bluey the farmhand is fun, always bringing a cryptic crossword clue he’s stuck on (how did the author find so many cheese-themed clues?). This book gets five stars from me! I’d recommend it to fans of rural romances.

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with an enemies to lovers love triangle theme, which kept me happily turning the pages. Having watched her mother have her heart broken and then deteriorating into depression, Rae Allen has vowed never to fall in love. She’s perfectly happy and certainly does not need a man as she travels the world, getting paid for it and living her dream. Likewise, Dean Rowland has sworn off women after his fiancé left him at the alter, the only way he could continue was to keep going like nothing had happened. Working all hours has definitely paid off as he now has a thriving business and more money than he will ever need. Rae and Dean’s first meeting is not great, especially as she wasn’t expecting him to be there and he thought she was trespassing on his property! Rae admitted her first impression was that he was hot, followed by thinking he was an ass. Dean wasn’t expecting to play host to a sassy redhead all weekend, but the encounter changes both their lives forever. The chemistry between Rae and Dean sizzles off the page but I like the slow burn romance between them as well. However, when Brandon, a rockstar and Rae’s best friend arrives he stirs up jealousy and doubt between the couple. This story took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it, wondering if they would trust in love or not. The characters were brought to life, as was the setting by the descriptive narrative and I felt engaged with Rae and Dean and immersed in their story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

A beautiful story following the slow-burn romance of Dean and Rae. Watching their journey as they fall in love was truly something special and made this book a really enjoyable read. I couldn’t put it down and found myself thinking about what would come next. Unlike a lot of romance books this one didn’t feel cliche to me and helped me be able to stick with the story.
Looking forward to reading the other books in the series and seeing more of her best friend Brandon too!

Grace is working towards her goals to take over her family’s farm, but this is sped up when Grace’s mum’s health deteriorates. The years she thought she had to buy her parents out has now turned into 3 months or lose the farm. Ryan, Graces neighbor, has returned after 8years away and is ready to sell his mum’s farm. With pressure from the bank, Grace is having to consider Ryan’s suggestions to buy some of her land. Grace and Ryan are well outside their comfort zones – Can Ryan care avian? Can Grace accept the help she needs?
Jennifer Raines has done it again! I really enjoyed this read! This expands on the first story of the Anderson family, Taylor’s Law. Another Anderson sister with strength, sass and determination. Ryan and Grace have a vibrant chemistry that had me hooked from the first chapter! I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. This was sweet and brave – I definitely recommend.
You don’t need to read Taylor’s Law before diving into this story. It is just as sweet, and you won’t be disappointed to give both books your time.

Romantic and emotional This is the second instalment in The Anderson Sisters series and just as good as the first. I really enjoyed Grace and Ryan’s story. This has a bit of everything for romance lovers – angst, drama, sabotage, loss and past history. All this is well written and drenched in emotion. Recommend.

I highly enjoyed this book. The world building was amazing! The descriptions of the places had me feeling like a was there. The characters were wonderful and relatable. This was my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more! Reviewed by @mimimadge

Every time I pick up a book by this author I think there is no possible way she could ever top the last one I read. And yet each time she seems to do just that. This book was absolutely incredible and the best possible way to kick start this new series. I am so pleased we are getting even more books to add to this collection and I already know they rest will be hard pushed to beat this one for me. The chemistry and connection between the characters was amazing. It was evident on every single page and I was drawn to it straight away. And it wasn’t just the characters that was so good, the story was equally as fantastic. The combination of the two have made this book a strong contender for favourite of the year already! I would urge everyone to pick up this book today.

Grace is an Artisan Cheese Maker who is determined to become the fifth generation to live on her family farm. She wants to do it alone because she trusts nobody to help her and is used to relying on herself and doing things on her own. After having recently lost her closest friend to suicide and watching her father get swindled out of land it is important for Grace to keep the family farm going to pass down to farther generations. When she learns that her mom has declining health, she is racing against the clock to come up with money to buy her parents out.
When the bank makes it difficult for her to come up with the money Grace considers selling part of the land to her neighbor Ryan. Ryan’s brother has recently committed suicide and he blames himself for his brother’s death. After years away from his family’s farm, he has only returned with the intention to sell the farm. Ryan finds himself not wanting to become attached to anyone or anything. His only passion in life is to buy a property, flip it, and move on. He surprises himself when he offers to help Grace after someone sabotage’s her purchase. Grace and Ryan both get more out of the deal than they originally bargained for.
Grace and Ryan have undeniable chemistry going on between them but first they both must learn to open their hearts and trust again. Both are headstrong, determined, and used to being independent so learning to lean on each other for help does not come easily. Grace has to first realize that asking for help does not make her a failure and Ryan needs to take down the walls around his heart. Together, they make an amazing couple, and I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold. A great read!
