I was so excited when I saw that this book was coming out so soon and I am not afraid to admit that I read this book in one day! I loved the first book in the series, and I loved this book just as much! This book revolved around Bridger who is the known as a bachelor and Tia, who can hold her own with anyone and is a spit fire. The sparks fly for both of them when they meet the weekend doing the calendar photoshoot for the players and it just snowballs from there. The way the author writes makes me feel as though I am right there in the action and not just reading the book! I cannot wait to read more GREAT books by this author!

Romance with a thrilling twist
This was brilliantly written. Remi and Audri are amazingly characters – well developed and with underlying flaws that made them so real and relatable. The story is multilayered with suspense and drama that kept me vested right until the end. Starts as a best friend’s sister romance but moves in to so much more. A strong first book in the series (can be read as a stand-alone) and I can’t wait to read more about the Waterfyre Men.

I loved Bridger and Tia’s story! I had a feeling that I would when they were introduced in the first book. The fire between them was palpable, and they couldn’t stay away from each other. She was damaged, and he was trying to change his image. They were so good together no matter what they had to go through to get to each other. It was supposed to be just one weekend of fun, but will their no strings weekend be enough for this steamy duo?

The Mastermind : A Brother’s Best Friend Romance (WaterFyre Rising Book 1)

I am once again amazed by a first time author and their debut.  I was hooked from the very beginning and had a hard time putting it down.  I dropped my kindle on my face a few times because I had to keep going.

This book had a little bit of everything and several twists that I didn’t come close to expecting which may have made me enjoy it that much more since so often books can be predictable.

Remington and Audri are more than perfect together.  They had a lot to deal with, more than the normal couple to get to their moment.

The sparks were flying from my kindle as I read the beginning of Grayson’s house warming party, the description of the car was perfectly detailed and just wow.

There is so much more I could say but won’t since most of it pertains to certain pivotal moments.  What I will say is be ready to be surprised,  there is nothing typical about this book.

This is an author I will be looking forward to reading again in the future.

This was my first book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. It was a romance staring Bridger and Tia. I liked them both and you could see the sparks flying from miles away. They were completely different but sometimes those are the best couples together even if they fight it. And the banter between them was great! I am definitely going to go back and read the first book in this series. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything because this book can be read as a standalone but i liked this book enough that I want to check out this authors other books! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romance read!
Happy reading!

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Amy Brennan

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely love this author and her ability to make one want to feel the love that vibrates off these pages. I have enjoyed getting to know the Titans of Manhattan thus far, and I have to say, the fact that Mason has made it his life’s goal to provide the women that work for him safe and protected in their lifestyle is incredibly inspiring and though it’s a work of fiction, the way that he does so makes me so happy. I know that in real life it’s still quite difficult to find a spot where you are well taken care of in that line of work and not have to worry about one’s personal safety.

I also love that Rhyann proves that just because women elect to work in that line of work doesn’t mean that they don’t have a side story and that being a dancer is hard, in all aspects of the job/lifestyle/career. What really made me smile was the way in which Rhyann and Mason come together and show their vulnerable side, at first with difficulty, and then the way it just comes naturally. Read to find out how naturally it comes! I very much look forward to the rest of this series, as these stories just seem to get better and better. Well done!

As Close to Perfect is a great love story about two people who have been hurt in the past. Bree has not had good relationships with men. Then, she meets Nate and he helps her walls come down. At first, she resists her feelings for him. But, the more time they spend together, the more the two of them realize that they were destined for each other. The story builds on Bree and Nate’s chemistry and when they finally get together, the tension is relieved. I loved seeing the progression of their relationship from first date to everything in between. The ending was beautiful and showed that true love always leads to happily ever after. I recommend that every woman who has ever been in a bad relationship and loves romance movies to read this book. You will not be disappointed. This story proves that there is someone out there for everyone.

I love a story that draws you in. This is just that story. Remington is not only dangerous, he has a past that is about to catch up with him. Audri is also hiding secrets, yet she is up beat, creative as well as cautious. One is a sister, the other is her brother’s best friend. Neither one of them wants or desires a romance or the commitment that lies in the waiting. There you have it! No Spoilers! That is all I needed to read this suspenseful romance. The story is fast paced and keeps you reading until the very end. Leaving you wanting so much more from this author and this new series. Every emotion will be brought forth in this story. Just Know this is a must read. I can’t wait for the next in this series.

Body Checked (Astoria Bay Thunder #2)Body Checked by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Body Checked was quite the lively romance story with Bridger and Tia. They both have pasts. The big difference is Bridger’s was lived in the media. Tia’s mistakes were made in private (or so she thought). She made the mistake of hooking up earlier in life with “Daddy’s little rich boy.” He just can’t take no for an answer. Tia has been suffering ever since. Tia gets the opportunity to shoot this HOT hockey team….the rest you’re going to have to read. I guarantee you’ll love it. The writing is sensational. You can feel the chemistry between Tia and Bridger. You can feel the emotions in the story. That was my favorite part. I love a story when I can feel what they feel. It’s engaging and keeps you flipping the page. I had to find out what was coming next. The plot flowed so smooth. The final plot twist in the book I didn’t see coming and that was a wonderful surprise. It was a nice change to see in a sports romance. I love this author’s books and I look forward to reading more from her.

It was just supposed to be a wild weekend – no one said anything about catching feelings.

Bridger McKelty is a self-avowed bachelor for life. Relationships? Commitment? Monogamy? No, thank you. On or off the ice, he’s known for being a player – and that reputation is just fine. What’s the point of being a professional hockey player if you can’t have the lifestyle too?

Getting involved with yet another unreliable playboy? Been there, done that. Never again. But when sparks fly and the opportunity for a no-strings-attached wild weekend with a sexy hockey player comes up, Tia Ferris can’t say no. It’s just a weekend, right? One weekend. The only rules: No strings and no feelings allowed. That’s easy enough, right? Right??!

What happens when a fling turns into an obsession that dominates his mind both on and off the ice? How far will Bridger have to go to get what he wants? Will Tia be able to hold her ground?

Come back to Astoria Bay and witness a battle of wills that will light center ice on fire! Bridger and Tia battle their feelings, trust issues, (and sometimes each other) in this frenemies-to-lovers hockey romance.

Body Checked is a full-length contemporary hockey romance full of snarky banter, sizzling chemistry, and all the will they/won’t they lusty feelings of frenemies-to-lovers. I was completely and utterly hooked on the book right from the beginning and loved every second about it. It’s very intriguing and the mystery really draws you in. The characters are what really makes the story come alive. The author has done an amazing job of creating the story. It is well written and the development throughout the book is amazing. I loved how she portrayed the characters and the journey they are on. I’m excited to see where the author takes the story as she continues the series.

I fell in love with the Andarakis family and my my journey with them had been one of laughter , tears and precious memories made ❣️

I was rather excited to learn more about Mia , the next daughter in the family …

Being a typical dad , Pappa Andarakis wants his girls under his roof but the first one has a shop of her own and is soon to be married , Mia moved to the city and Krystina is still home and Mia is a firecracker in her own way ….

So Mia has landed her dream job but her new boss , Nick Aristedis is a thorn in her side and she in his it would seem and the 2 of them had me in stitches with their banter but thankfully Penelope , his sister , is the peacemaker between them them and I’m sure she she’s what’s between them before they even realise it ❣️😉

Penelope and Nick suffered a huge loss as children and my heart broke for them and Nick bears scars of it and Mia comes to his aid and Mia noticed her tenderness ❣️

I really enjoyed Mia and Nick ♥️ but my highlight was
“ Did you just Elizabeth Bennet me ?” “ Only after you Darcyed me , you pompous snob” 😉😂

Another chapter of the Greek family I just want to be a part of ! I’m both excited and sad to see what the “baby” of the family had in store for me , excited because I just love these people , sad because I don’t want to say goodbye ….

Kally is a girl after my own heart and I just made her my best friend 😉📕❣️ I mean hello she has a coffee shop with a book nook and she makes the most delectable Greek treats so it’s like inevitable that she’s my new BFF 😂

Kally also listens to audiobooks while working and she reminds me so much of myself except I can’t bake like her and I don’t have an epic Greek family or a friend like Egypt 😉and again she likes the same music I like ! No wonder Max fell for her ❣️

So both Kally and Max have a past and there’s a lot of hurt and deceit in their lives and I feel for them and they’re really each other’s healing balms ….

Little Athena stole my heart and that of everyone else , she’s the sweetest little thing ❣️Emma wasn’t far behind 🐾❣️

Nothing beats a grandma but I think the Greek ones are the best right yiayia ❣️

I must just warn you …. The last 23% left me an emotional mess , I cried hard , well I actually howled , I curled into a little ball and just lay there to recover 🤦‍♀️🫣

I loved every moment of being part of this family and I just want to share them with everyone !!!!

This is a very quick read romance that was very relatable. The characters were also so lovable. Bree has been hurt by love many times and because of this she has created a list of rules to help her from being hurt. She is waiting on the physical aspect of relationships until she truly knows someone. She has rules about what counts for dates. But her number one rule is that she is not going to date any more jocks. That is her normal type and she has been hurt so many times that she has decided that all jocks are meant to hurt her.
Bree first meets Nate when she is picking up her take out order of Chinese food. He has ordered the same thing and he lets her take his order. The initial attraction is undeniable, but Bree has ruled out all jocks, so he is off limits.
Nate reappears at her tennis club, something new she is trying to meet men. She becomes her tennis partner and their chemistry is completely undeniable. She continues to put him in the friend zone and dates a series of men that meet her lists of qualifications. However, Nate stays in the sidelines supporting her after each failed date and just as a steady support system. Is is possible that Nate might be worth breaking her no jocks rule for? Is is possible that her type is Nate? Might she have finally met her perfect match?
This book was so very good. My only complaint is that the last few chapters seemed very rushed. I would have loved to have spent even more time with Bree and Nate and the complexities of their lives. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Great start to the series. Lots of twists and turns along the way to continue into the next book.

Remington has been in love with his best friend’s sister since they were kids, only he didn’t realize it until she made a recent reappearance back in his life. Out of deference for his friend, Remi tries to fight the attraction. Audri grew up with Remington always there. He is just like the rest of her brother’s friends, right? Not anymore. Audri is noticing him in all kinds of new ways.

As the past comes for both of them can they fight their fears to find a way to each other? It will be great to see what happens in the series!!

I highly recommend reading them in order when you decide to read these books as the order flows and makes the stories have that much more of an impact! The way that this author writes makes it feel as though I am submerged in the story as much as the characters. This was such a quick read for me as I could not put the books down! Love is Worth Fighting for is the third book in The Meraki Series. This is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down. I recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already but it can be read as a standalone. My emotions were all over the place and at times my heart was broken. This is a frenemy you don’t want to miss. This is Krystina’s story . She kinda has known what she wanted to do with her life and how go achieve it but her pesky frenemy being around is a bit frustrating. But when something unexpected happens she starts to see him in a different light. What will happen when she lets her feelings get involved? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author. This is another incredible read by this author.

This was a great 5 star read. My emotions were all over the place while I was reading. Krystina and Loukas were great. You get pulled in right from the beginning. I loved how Krystina and her family opened up their home to Loukas. She is a little annoyed having Loukas around so much but when things take an unexpected twist, Loukas is there for her. The more time they spend together the closer they become. Will things get more serious for them? Will Krystina ever get her dream?

I have to say this is my favorite so far in the series. I had a few ugly cry moments. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing, you are done before you know it. If you’re looking for a great read and series, 1-click and get started on this one.

The Mastermind (WaterFyre Rising Book 1) by Nadia Han – Review by Jessica Stone

The Mastermind this book is just that, masterfully written! This intense, edge of your seat, brothers best friend, billionaire boss, alpha male, suspense romance with just the right amount of spice hit the spot!

Remington Starke, is a self made billionaire with a dark past, and a brilliant mind. Brought back to his home town due to business with WaterFyre, a project he and his childhood friends are working on. Remington soon runs into his best friends little sister, after buying the. Implant she works for and soon realizes she isn’t so little any more.

Audri Wu, is just a girl trying to find her way, she’s tired of breaking her back for a company that doesn’t respect her, but is unwilling to rely on the money that her brother tries to provide for her. With a passion for making beautiful jewelry, she’s just trying to find a way to make her passion her full time job.
After years apart, both having grown up quite a bit, Audri and Remington cannot deny the burning attraction they have for one another. Unfortunately dark secrets and even darker dangers from their past and present seem to be following them both closely. Will the both be able to beat their pasts and find a to be together or will the past finally win?

I’m pretty big on alpha male romances, and this one did not disappoint in that aspect, the fight for Remi to deny Audri the one thing he wants most, made my toes curl with anticipation the entire book. I love that the author made Audri soft and vulnerable, but strong willed and career minded at the same time. I love a strong male lead but I LOVE a stronger female MC. This book does all that an more, with a dash of suspense, due to hidden secrets and dark past to add spice to a book that could solely be a romance brings this book to a whole new level.

This is the first book from this series and from this author!! I’m very excited to explore the world she creates and to get to get to know all the WaterFyre men a lot better.

I never tire of this wonderful author or the books that they create! I love the characters that they create and how the story blossoms and truly comes to life! Honestly this author never does disappoint, and I am always captivated, and I fall in love with the characters every single time!

Krystina and Loukas were two very different, yet very much the same characters. I loved them as separate people and I loved them as a whole! They both brought interesting aspects to the table, and I fell in love with their relationship they had blooming between them. Outside their relationship, the story was really heart felt which I loved! I was very emotionally in deep with this book! Loved it!

Amazing writing as always from a wonderful author! I loved this book especially for all it was. Highly recommend this book, it’s a must read for sure! And for sure recommend this author as well!

I was looking forward to reading this novel having enjoyed the previous books in the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one as well. As usual I was fully immersed in the novel, thanks to the wonderfully written storyline and likeable and realistic characters. This is Krystina and frenemy from childhood, Loukas’s story, and I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. The descriptive narrative brought the settings vividly to life and I felt engaged with the characters, making this a real page turner of a novel, and one which I could not put down. Krystina wants to travel to beautiful locations, promote her blog, and hopefully achieve Insta fame, but unfortunately with Loukas in tow she feels like she can’t breathe.
However, when unforeseen circumstances occur, resulting in Krystina having to face challenging situations, it’s Loukas that helps her get through it. The mystery element of the plot had me intrigued, as Krystina‘s grandfather is missing, but her grandmother believes he will return one day. Krystina becomes determined to find him and bring him home to her grandmother, but her quest will test everything she knows. This was a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story, which kept me happily turning the pages. Will Krystina learn that ‘love is worth fighting for’, I definitely recommend that you pick up this book to find out!

This book was really good, but it also wasn’t my favorite. I hate it, because I wanted to love it so much and it just fell short to me. I loved the characters, and the sexual tension was amazing. But what got to me was the internal monologue of both characters, and then the sex scenes just felt super awkward to me, and I just didn’t connect to the story like how I wanted to. The plot was amazing, and the whole video game idea was very interesting. I enjoyed this novel, I just didn’t love it and I hate that I didn’t because as stated above the story is great. A story about Krystina and her quest that will test everything in her. Will she learn that it is okay to fight for what you want? I enjoyed her growth as well as the plot throughout the story. Oh, book 3 of the series and this one just blew me away. You again get all the feels in this story. Set during the beginning of 2020 and the beginning of the pandemic, I found this story to feel so real. The location is New York. Some of the characters are essential workers. It hits home. Some storylines come to a close and some bloom like a cherry blossom in the spring. You are smiling as you mourn. Krystina and Loukas have chemistry that has been evident since they were children, but they never realized it. My favorite story is when Melina tells her why she has Loukas’ mom’s name as her middle name. Both moms wanted them to marry when they got older. I can relate to the stories about getting teased for the color of your panties, etc. This has been such an enjoyable series to read so far. It’s like reading about your own family (even if you aren’t Greek). The flow of the story from different POV’s is so smoothly transitioned that it just works so well. The main couples are always so feisty and even with the flaws that every couple has, they work through it and still find a way to work together. This has been a new author for me and I’m enjoying her romances because they might have a sweet factor, yet they are also real about what can be wrong in relationships. I would absolutely give it more than a 5 rating if I could.

This is the fantastic first book in a series that looks like being a cracker. This is an author that was totally new to me but I was totally sold by the blurb. It sounded like it was exactly the type of book that I’d really enjoy. Sexy billionaire, brother’s best friend – what more do you need?
Remington (Remi) Starke is a dark brooding sexy billionaire with the world at his feet. Audri Wu is his best friend Grayson’s little sister who is struggling to come to terms with events from her childhood that changed her life.
This isn’t just a contemporary romance story. There is so much more to it. It has the added bonus of being a romantic suspense story with loads of drama, danger and intrigue that totally keep you gripped to the story wanting to know how the story will unravel. Let’s just say that the author has a few surprises that might just throw you.
If you are a fan of the romance part of a story then I can assure you that this story is hot and steamy and does not lack at all in the romance stakes.
I really loved this book and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the other guys in the WaterFyre Rising world.

Mia and Nicholas, a story of love that started in their teens. Lost and alone, he came to her aid and reunited her with her family,,,only to disappear into life. Many years later, he appears back in her life as her boss the publication she works for. Alas, she doesn’t realize it’s him. The humor, romance and drama begins now. There is so much chemistry between these two (if they would just realize it). They both have baggage to work through. With the aid of Grandma and their families, they can get through this? We also get more insight into Grandma’s romance with her missing husband. Nicholas is investigating his disappearance and we are a little closer but nothing set in stone yet. This is book 2 of the series and I love it. It ties in nicely with book 1. The characters are totally relatable. Just your crazy family trying to love everyone and get along. We all want a family like Mia’s. I do have to say their love story just brings out all the emotions. You ride the emotion roller coaster. It is the sweetest story. Highly recommended for all romance readers. Definitely would give more than a 5 if I could.

The story of Kally and Max is one that just kind of warms your heart. It’s full of humor, romance, sweetness and drama. Kally would love to just have a true love romance with a guy that is truly single and the love is real. Right now, that’s only in print romances. Kally learns that not everything is as it seems. She has some emotional/relationship baggage to deal with. She learns through all this and learning about her mom and grandmother’s marriage that sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith. The characters are so loveable in this story, even George, the grumpy dad. They kind of remind me of the family in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I half expected George to offer Windex for minor ailments. Grandma is adorable and probably my favorite. Such sweetness that I felt cavities forming (I loved it in this story, it fit). The plot was perfect. I loved seeing Kally trying to figure out where her grandfather is. I hope we’ll see more of that in the other two books in the series. A fun, quick read that can make your weekend enjoyable. I would give it more than a 5 if I could.

***No Spoilers*** Isn’t love complicated? At least for Bree it is, her love life has been a mess as of late. Everyone has a “type” and Bree realizes her “type” creates nothing but headaches and heartache. So, she decides to swear off dating these type of men. Low and behold, the universe throws one her way. She makes it very clear she isn’t interested, and even meets another love interest who meets more of her “new requirements.” But is she selling herself short? Is she missing on her chance to find Mr. Right because she categorized him as a Mr. Right Now?

In matters of the heart, there are no certainties. Bree is on the road to discovery, not just for herself but with her relationships as well. There are so many areas to navigate, challenges to face, and obstacles to overcome. In the end, all ends up where it should be and you will find yourself cheering her and her love interest on! This was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
