I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is a book by a newer author . I enjoyed their attention to details that made the characters come to life on every page. This made the story easy to read along with the emotional roller coaster they took me on. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the start by the characters. They are relatable and connectable. I had no problem picturing myself with them. This is a story about healing from trauma and loss. Hailey and Loch are great characters who have great chemistry and growth throughout the story. They had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen to them and if they would find their HEA. I really enjoyed what they brought to the story. This is a story you don’t want to miss for sure. I highly recommend this book.

Shayna is a single mom to Eli and Zoe and I know it tough but I’m so proud of her for walking away from her abusive ex JT she did what was best for her and precious children despite her nasty attitude from her ex in laws .
She’s a brilliant mom and a good person despite the issues between her and JT she doesn’t bad mouth him or keep him from speaking to his children ( he’s in prison) and when the time comes she stands up to them because they get get really nasty at a stage and for that I reflect her even more because she even does that with dignity ! As you can see I think Shauna is a saint and she and her kids deserve only the best and they do get that 🥰😉
Anyhoo Shayna is called into work early , unexpectedly one morning and as she’s a single mum she has no dad on hand do she calls in her bestie Dre who in turn sends her other bestie Burke aka our delectable Sir Yumminess , our knight in shining armour 🤣🥰 and from the get go my knees go weak , he takes over so naturally ( a real swoon moment
Burke is brilliant with both Eli and Zoe and if I didn’t know any better I would assume he’s their dad and thi he’s are going well but Shayna has a freak out moment and I get it but it causes a bit of a wedge between her and Burke and despite that Burke still is present for the kids and Shayna he’s a real keeper and this is what makes this read so real is these are real feelings and experiences people go through everyday and yes sone are lucky to find their Burke but some still get stuck with a JT 😢
Shayna , Burke , Zoe , Eli and the rest of these characters will stay with me for some time I laughed , I cried , I swooned , oooohed and aaahed and yes I got really really mad a few times and I just loved sharing their story , I can see rereading this on my near future ❣️📚

Make Me Want to Love You by N.D. Jackson is the second book in the Love in Emerald Creek series. This book can be read as a stand-alone, as the author does a great job filling in the blanks if you have yet to read the first book. Shayna is a divorced, single mom of 2 children. She is learning how to juggle all the hats she must wear. She has a great support system with her best friend Dre and Burke, Dre’s business partner and best friend. Shayna and Burke are attracted to each other but of course, Shayna tries to fight it. Shayna is a relatable character. We watch her struggle with her feelings of inadequacy as a mother. We also see her desire for Burke war with her desire to keep safe. I enjoyed Burke’s POV as well. He is a great guy and we get to see his depths. There were quite a few moments that made me smile. The chemistry between Burke and Shayna was great. This was a nice romance/ found family story. It makes you feel good.

This was a good read. I liked the characters and the slow burn. I especially appreciated how Burke was in regards to Shayna’s children as that is a big deal in a mother’s life. The characters had good chemistry and I also loved the setting of Emerald Creek. I do love the hook of a small town.

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me captivated throughout. Loch Mackenzie, lead singer of ‘The Oath’, a successful rock band, is in need of some R&R following the death of his sister. He reluctantly goes to spend a month at a small B&B, but then meets Hailey Prescott. Hailey is definitely not looking for love, she’s happy as she is running her business and having her two best friends near by. The first time Loch sees Hailey she is sprawled on her kitchen floor and once he picks her up and ensures she’s ok he is instantly intrigued by her. Hailey is confused by her attraction to the rockstar especially as he starts knocking down all her barriers. As the couple give into their connection and learn to love they also start to heal from loss. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking romance which took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. I loved the main characters and Loch and Hailey’s chemistry really came across in the narrative. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This book is the 4th and final book in the Love on Tap series. While you can read this book as a stand-alone, can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to read them all. In this final book of the series, we finally learn more about Lynne, the youngest Brooks sibling, and only daughter of her family. Lynne is studying to work as a physical therapist, and takes a job at the local professional baseball stadium concession stand, in hopes of connecting with the physical therapists. She meets Joey Martel, a player on the team, and they start to date until things go poorly. They separate for a year, and then fate puts them back together, and they must decide what’s truly important for them and their relationship. During this time, as well, Lynne’s family is having to deal with many unfortunate incidents that they thing are unrelated at first, until they start investigating them further and realize that sometimes the real problem and issues are those closest to you. This book wrapped up this series in a great way, though it does make me sad that it has ended.

This book had me at the dedication- For all the princesses, especially the ones battling frog infestations.
Have you ever watched those Tiktok videos where the guy turns into a sexy firefighter and you instantly imagine an interaction? Well, this isn’t it! This was more realistic, and amusing AF when they first met.
Libby- Just moved in, new house/state… everything, and on the very next morning her toaster sets on fire (Which is how she met her firefighter hunk!) She is a curvy girl so if you are looking for a book where the mfc isn’t a twig this is for you!
Zach- hotty firefighter. Very protective of Libby.
This is fast-paced and he falls first. By chapter 2 after inviting himself over for dinner he was thinking how much he liked her and wanted her to be his girl.
Honestly, when I first started reading this book I thought Zach was a little cutie. I thought their banter was hilarious and that they had great chemistry, but then he started giving me bad vibes. While I love red flags in my dark romances I don’t in my rom-coms and it turned me off from this book. Even though Libby was giving off fuck me vibes, she made it very clear she didn’t want a relationship with him, but no matter how many times she said no he refused to accept that answer and thought he could change her mind, even after she told him her reasoning. Not only that but some of the things came off a bit manipulative as well. Obvi she ignores all the warning bells in her head and does fall for him after being FWB for a while. Has a HEA ending.

Anyhoo the fire brigade are on their way and the delectable man to save her in her Disney princess jammies has eyes anyone could drown in and I’d say there’s more that just the toaster smoking 🔥😜 Zach had me swooning from the get go 🥰and he’s got confidence but not arrogance and those dimples … I know I’m weak but what can I say 🙈🤣😜
There was just something about Libby that got Zach and it went both ways and I loved watching Zach and his brothers tease , laugh and have serious moments especially when it came to the ranch and it’s future this is one of those families you just feel part of and most of all I loved how he “pushed” Libby into a relationship and not just something casual , they had me on my toes that’s for sure
I laughed , I loved and yes I shed a tear or 2 these people will climb into your heart and stay there for long after the last page ❣️📚this is one of those reads I just want everyone to read !

This author writes a beautiful story with endearing characters that make you laugh out loud, maybe ugly cry and want a friend like Dre. If those things don’t manage to keep the pages turning, the little bits of steam surely will. 😉
Shayla is a single mom of two amazing kids. Shayla’s ex is in prison for being a crappy guy and doing some terrible things. With the help of her best friend Dre, Shayla has put together a life for her and her children. She has a good job, the kids are active and happy.
Burke is Dre’s friend. He is everything Shayla’s ex is not. Tall, beautiful, classy, cultured, nice, funny, caring, and wealthy. Burke has been used for his power, status and money one too many times. Burke has found a unique happiness in this small town, so different from the big city life of LA or NYC.
When Burke shows up one day because Dre can’t, it puts him directly in Shayla’s orbit. Not that they didn’t know each other, both being friends with Dre. But Shayla has managed to stay directly out of his special sunlight because she might have developed a small, teeny-tiny, baby crush on the hot man. Lynn is the youngest of the Brookes clan with that her brothers have always protected her even if she does not want it or need it but when it comes to boyfriends it is taken up a notch. So when at her summer job and she is involved in an emergency and a hunky helper jumps in she wonders if this is a chance meeting or will see him around the ball park again.
Joey has just transferred to the Arrows not sure if he will fit in but when he meets Lynn he has this instant attraction to her but he is unsure if she will like him for him, so when Joey and his friends are drinking in the Blue Bigfoot brewery he sees her and then he has to get her onside.
Joey and Lynn’s relationship is going great but when Joey steps over the boundaries she is determined to have a boyfriend who is an equal and not a protector, can they overcome the families history and Can Lynn be in the relationship with the man she loves.
I love this series and this book does not disappoint with a great twist at the end. This book can be read as a standalone story as the author does fill in details along the way but to honest you will get the whole feel of the Brookes if you read each of the books. I love the secondary characters and I wished Duke was is this story abit more as he is such a quirky guy and a brilliant character.
The chemistry with Joey and Lynn was off the page and this is just a lovely relationship and probably my favourite story so far. The story was well written as always and the new characters were brilliantly and added to the story, I can’t wait to see if there is another book in this series.

Make Me Want To Love You by ND Jackson is a wholesome feel good romance novel. Shayna is a single mom and DV survivor with a ton of walks up but the kindness and generosity of Burke has them crumbing down. Burke is a man who is only seen for his good looks and wealth. But there’s so much more to him that Shayna sees.
These two are absolutely adorable. The heat leaps off of the page. They bring out the best in each other. I found this story extremely relatable. I was once a single mom and it’s hard. Rewarding but hard. My now husband took to my kids and did his best to make my life easier. The relationship he built with them made me love him even more. So this story really resonated with me. I highly recommend this book.

Make Me Want to Love You is a sweet romance about a woman’s second chance at love. The author presents the reader with a wonderful story about a single mom who persevered through the disaster of her first marriage and is holding her head high. Be mindful that disaster though a minor subplot could very well be a trigger for someone. The two main characters are characters to love. With the female character experiencing growth throughout the story. Shayna has been through the ringer. Now a divorced mother of two she unfortunately still has to deal with her ex-husband’s family while he’s in jail. Which doesn’t make her life easy. She just wants to stand on her own two feet and do what’s best for her kids. Never realizing Burke was right in front of her. Her best friend’s business partner, he finds a way to slowly make himself a positive presence in her life. As much as she enjoys it she’s scared. Scared to open up. Scared of being hurt again. But what’s life without a little risk? What will she decide to do? Meanwhile Burke is a patient man. Especially when it’s something he really wants. He knows if he pushes too hard he could lose her. So he’s along for the ride. Knowing full well he could end up brokenhearted in the end. But when her ex-family threatens her livelihood, how does she handle it? Does Shayna let Burke help? So many questions and tons of answers. So many ideas that pop into one’s mind that keep you turning the page, just to see if you were on the right track. Like I stated previously you will love these two. Their dynamic between each other and their supporting cast of characters. If you’re looking for sweet with some passion mixed in. What a introduction to the band. I loved all of the guys from the beginning and I felt myself immediately needing to take care of Loch and help him heal. His pain spoke to me in a way that I didn’t expect at all and I’m not sure why it hit me the way it did. Thankfully he had Hailey there to help him when he needed it most.
Hailey who is no stranger to pain but was further down the path than Loch is amazing. She remembered being where he was and helped him start to move forward instead of being stuck in that pain loop.
The main characters were great but I may have fallen in love with Nola and Jonas just a little bit, especially Nola. She reminded me of my best friend who has supported me during some difficult times in my life over the last 36 years and that may be why I loved her as much did.
I have added the rest of this series to my TBR and can’t wait to meet up with everyone again.

Shayna is a single mom that is trying to do the best for her children. She is determined to protect them from her abusive ex. Burke is supportive from day one and builds an amazing relationship with Shayna’s children as he is trying to build a relationship with her. But, Shayna has a hard time accepting that someone can treat her the way she deserves.
These characters were easy to fall in love with. Shayna is a single mom who puts her children first and her own needs last. I think most mothers can relate to that. Burke is not only determined…but he is just a good man. The way he built relationships with the children just warmed my heart.
This is another good story in a great series. You don’t have to read the first book to understand this one…but more Emerald Creek is never a bad thing! I am enjoying this small-town romance series…and I am looking forward to reading what comes next!

I’ve never read anything by Lacey Furr before Finding Love and let me tell you, I was hooked from the very first chapter! Loch and Hailey had undeniable chemistry from the very start and it was great to see how both of their stories unfolded. I was really excited to see there was a playlist at the very beginning of the book, something I often get really excited about when I stumble upon it. I liked that the author alternated chapters between both Loch and Hailey, this really adds depth to the characters in my option. Finding Love was as emotional and well written as it was fun and entertaining. I can’t speak enough about how much I loved the characters. I definitely look forward to looking into the Oath series a bit deeper.

The first book in The Oath Series, Finding Love, caught me by complete surprise. This is the first book I’ve read by Lacey Furr but it will definitely not be the last. I thought Finding Love was going to be your typical rock star story, but was wonderfully surprised when it turned into so much more! Loch and Hailey’s instant chemistry was mesmerizing, but there was so much more to their story. There is heartbreak, mental health struggles, healing, drama, romance, and so much more! I like that Lacey Furr was not afraid to touch on some sensitive topics in this book. She tackled them with relative ease and sensitivity. The other members of Loch’s band, The Oath, also played a major role in this story, which I liked. Overall, the world building was amazing (I felt like I was jumping into the cool water or picnicking on the rocks) and the characters were so realistically flawed, believable, and lovable. I can’t wait to read more from The Oath Series as well as more by Lacey Furr.

This story was a great read. There is loss, love, friends, healing, romance and some suspense about what’s going to happen between Loch and Hailey. The author wrote this book in such a way that had me glued to the pages and it pulled at my heartstrings throughout the entire story. Loch’s manager books him a getaway at a B&B to give him some space and time to heal from the tragic loss of his sister. Loch hasn’t been the same since she passed away and he isn’t able to write music. Hailey, the owner of the B&B is no stranger to loss. Both of these characters need healing in many ways. They start spending time together and it’s a beautiful thing but what happens when Loch’s stay ends? Loch and Hailey have friends that are there for them through their ups and downs. I enjoyed all the characters in this book. I enjoyed experiencing a myriad of emotions while reading this book. I recommend this book.

This is the fourth book in this series which is just as great as the previous three books. I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enjoyment of this author. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the beginning. The characters are connectable, relatable and made the story easy to read. This is a well written story about Lynn and Joey. What will happen when he ends up at her treatment table? She is determined that he is not for her but what will fate have in store for them? I enjoyed watching their growth and chemistry throughout. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story and one you don’t want to miss. I have enjoyed these author’s writing skills and never hesitate to pick up one of her books. I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book in The Oath Series as well as the first I’ve read by this author. It was a wonderful contemporary romance that I recommend picking up if you’re looking for an intriguing read. It took me a little while to find my reading groove, but once I did, I found myself unable to put it down. Our main characters, Loch and Hailey, have a lovely and vulnerable connection. I really enjoyed getting to experience the back and forth through the dual points of view as it helps you get a little bit deeper into the character’s mind. I feel like this is more on the deeper side of the genre because it isn’t just superficial love. The emotions are strong, and there is a bit of spice, so get ready to hunker down and lose a few hours in this world.

I want to start by saying I love the author’s creativity for the book title. Toasted legit starts when a girl’s toaster burst into flames while making her morning toast. It actually makes me kind of laugh out loud. I didn’t pick it up at first but once I did I laughed. So anyway this is a sweet romance novel. But as we know, the story never just has an easy meet, fall in love, finally happily ever after. But I digress. The author wrote two brilliantly stubborn characters that I relate too. Each having their own personal issues but are drawn to one another. Yet as much as the chemistry tells them to be together they are apart. This story is about the growth between them. Learning there’s positives in taking risks vs playing it safe. But does it all work out in the end? Meeting over a toaster fire in her kitchen, Libby instantly clicks with Zach. Which worries her. So she grasps onto him laughing at her reaction to the appliance catching fire and the ways it could happen to anyone. By doing so she’s hoping this pull she feels will diminish because this is negative behavior to her. She swore off relationships, and doesn’t have them. There’s no way this gorgeous firefighter will change that for her now. Or will he? Zach is determined. Libby is beautiful with a wonderful personality. He wants her to be his, but doesn’t realize that will be no easy task. When he takes intimacy off the table unless she’s willing to try a relationship, they both are in for an extreme test of their restraint. A test of wits to make the other break is now the challenge between them. They are both so stubborn that they don’t want to let go of the paths they laid. Unfortunately Zach is faced with a difficult decision and having Libby in his corner may be just what he needs to get through it. Only one problem, is she willing? I love this book and it’s the beginning of a new series I’m looking forward to reading more of!

I’ve read a couple of books by this author before, so I knew I was in for a good read when I picked this one up. This is the first book in the Love Burns series, and it is amazing! The cover obviously grabbed me, but that was far from the best part. The very first page had me incredibly intrigued, but the pages following hooked me for good. I couldn’t even tell you the other things I did the day I read this because it took over and left me with a serious book hangover. The way that Libby speaks and thinks is way too relatable and had me busting out laughing several times. The chemistry between her and Zach was extremely strong which was wonderful. There is a little bit of spice, adventure, and romance here, and you’ll find yourself rooting for these main characters. If you’re looking for an incredibly captivating contemporary romance book, this should be on your list for sure!

The Love on Tap series has had me enthralled, delighted and in fits of laughter and Stout of My League may just be the icing on the top of them all. Make sure to read them in order as Sylvie incorporates some spoilers from the first three books. I have no idea where Sylvie gets her book titles from, but I love them. In this small-town forbidden romance, there is Joey who is as warm as he is sweet. He’s just withholding the truth just for now he will tell her. That is just asking for disaster if you ask me. With four older brothers who don’t mind meddling in her life & going overboard whenever a man comes near her, Lynn is at her wits end. Can you divorce siblings? And the fun begins. It is funny, with wonderful characters, with witty banter, mayhem and madness, romance and did I mention sexy too boot. Its enchanting, engaging, delightful, interesting and its enticing. I must add that the cover pops too. I like it. I look forward to seeing what Sylvie has in store for us next.

This is book two of the series. I did not read book one but do not feel like I missed anything. I enjoyed this book alot. I do feel it was very slow but enjoyable. Shayna an Burke’s friendship turns into a wonderful romance that they both needed. Burke is amazing with her three kids, no one expected an just shows you that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Loch’s agent books him a stay at a B&B when it is obvious that he needs a break. He is grieving the loss of his sister. His manager lets the owner of the B&B, Hailey, know that he needs privacy as he recovers.
Hailey has put her heart and soul into her B&B as she works through her own traumatic past. This has left no time for finding love. However, when a rockstar comes to her establishment, and soothes her out of a panic attack, the two realize that there is a spark of something there.
They both are dealing with trauma and this creates a bond built on helping each other heal. Add in a best friend, her best friend’s husband, and some bandmates…and there are enough twists and turns to keep things exciting.
I enjoyed the growth and healing of both characters. All the secondary characters kept things interesting. This is the first book that I have read from this author…but it won’t be the last.

An intense story that will have you feeling every emotion in it. You can feel the MC struggle in the words. You feel the struggle. Unique personalities of each character all blended together to make this a really good story. I loved the writing because you felt it and it was relatable.
