Burned by Fire is the first book I’ve read by this author. It was a short and an easy read, one that I found myself picking up in little crevices throughout my day. I have to admit I was not a big fan of Sol as a character, I had a hard time connecting and sympathizing with him. Ember on the other hand, was a great main character. She was meant to be young at age 21 but she was mature and reasonable. I enjoyed that the author alternated between perspectives throughout the book. There were times where I was uncertain how much time had lapsed and I felt a bit lost but I attributed this to sporadically picking up the book. Overall, I appreciated the storyline and would recommend the book to others.

This was an enjoyable read. It is a short read however you do feel like you get the whole story and it doesn’t lack anything. I enjoyed the characters. It was hard reading about Sol and how he worked so hard as a firefighter to be then injured and retired from doing what he loves. Reading about his downward spiral was hard but also relatable for quite a lot of people in that situation. Ember is a young lady who joined just before Sol was retired. She had always looked up to him and admired him from afar. She sees how this injury has affected him and she wants to help him. Not just to help him though, she has always harbored an attraction towards him and sometimes friendship crosses over into love. Things are plain sailing for them though, with Sols drink problem, Embers possible new career in another brigade and the newness that is their relationship can this couple work through it all and find happiness with each other?

I loved this book, the characters had that sweet essence, but with their own fire going. I loved their different personalizes as well as the walks of life they come from. The book was convincing and a wonderful read.
Sol and Ember were wonderful, they both were stubborn at times, there flame between them was undeniable to say the least. I loved watching them with scenes together, and how it played out. Sometimes with fire fighting, you have to risk it all and run into that burning house, I found that was what Sol and Ember both had to do. Leap of faith. Not be afraid and just do it. Their story was a quick and easy read, but all so wonderful. Enjoyed the author’s writing and how the story played out!
Loved this book, its quick, but very much amazing read. Loved the author’s writing style and character development. Highly recommend this must read book! Loved it from start to finish! Truly loved it!

What happens when the life you planned takes a curveball? That is what happens to the leading man in this book. He finds himself in a huge hole of self pity. Desperately trying to figure out what to do with himself. The leading female idolizes the main man. She was just starting out in the firehouse when he became injured. She feels like she can help him when she notices that he is struggling. The community that they belong to come to the aide. Together they try ti figure out a way for him to find a new path in life. This book is a short, quick read. It will have you second guessing what you would do if the plan that you are following changes for some unforeseen reason. It is a sweet romance with some steam. Overall, the book was a very good quick read.

So I really struggled with this age gap firefighter romance. Connecting to the characters just was not there for me. I really liked the idea of the story which is why I picked it up. I mean who doesn’t love a firefighter story? Sol has a stress from his injury and he is gruff. Ember (who is a firefighter too!) has always liked Sol and misses him on the job. She tries to smooth out his rough edges but will he let her?
This is not my first book by this author. I usually enjoy her stories and characters but this one just fell flat for me. There is some anguish and drama along with the romance. So all good stuff but i think more expanding was needed. Sorry I wanted to love it but just couldn’t.

This is one of those stories that when you start reading it you just fall in love with the characters. I loved everything about Sol and Ember, their journeys separately and their journey together. They were both such genuine and relatable characters and I was secretly rooting for them the whole way through. I loved the storyline as well, it was really easy to follow and the flow made the story such a. Pleasure to read. This is the first book that I have read from this series but not by this author. I love that her writing style never waivers which means I know when I pick up one of her books I am in for a great read and this one was no exception. Overall a really lovely read and one that I would highly recommend.

This book was absolutely gorgeous! I loved seeing how the characters grew and changed, taking risks and doing what they felt they needed to do to save each other and their community. Pasha and Ryn were such fun characters to see build their relationship and grow to understand each other more. Kasper and Owen’s brotherly love and Kasper’s perseverance in trying to save Owen was beautiful. When the author added Maris into that mix, it was amazing to see the bonds she had with all of the characters, but especially with Kasper. I adored the fantasy and it was just altogether an amazing journey to take with all of these characters.

This was an interesting book and it didn’t take long to read. This book follows four people, three of which reside in or near Atlantis and a human. Maris is the princess and is betrothed to another royal named Ryn. Ryn is looking forward to being the next king, but he is in love with Pasha who is the best friend to Maris. A sticky situation that gets even stickier when Maris saves a human named Kasper. Kasper in on a quest go find the jug of Aquarius which he hopes will rid his brother of cancer. How far will Kasper go to find this mythical item? Will Maris return to fulfill her duties and marry the cheating Ryn? Will Pasha get the courage to walk away from Ryn? The author gave us a different perspective from each character which I normally find messy in a book. The different perspectives worked well and were seamless in transition. The story kept a good flow without feeling like there were pieces missing. I saw that this is a series of 12 books and I am interested to see what the next book will be about.

Romance under Aquarius: Stargazing Series #1 by Danielle Jacks is one of a kind. It is a fun twist on paranormal romance. What if mermaids were real? What about Atlantis? With multiple character views, every twist reveals something new. I was hooked from the first chapter. Maris, Kasper, Ryn and Pasha are all such relatable characters you almost forget this takes place in the middle of the ocean. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.!

When I first saw this book, I couldn’t stop looking at the cover! It was what caught my eye. The story is what kept me around though. It was different in a good way. It had astrology and some merfolk too! I loved reading the story from different the characters perspective. I don’t get to read stories like that very often so that was a nice treat. All of the main characters were likeable and I enjoyed the bit of romance that this story had as well. This story is part of a multi author series and I am excited to read more stories in this world! Romance Under Aquarius was a quick romance read that I was looking for! With 4 different view points throughout the book, romance and heartbreak Danielle kept you turning the page and never wanting to put the book down. Follow Maris through her journey of love, finding herself and saving her “hometown”. Maris and her best friend Pasha, her fiancé Ryn and a new found friend Kasper, all take on an adventure together to save Kasper’s brother. Can they solve the mystery, without hurting each other, or keeping their heart safe? While some of the actions of the main characters makes it hard for you as the reader to like them, overall you become very dedicated and protective over each one. I was a little skeptical of seeing a romance novel written about non-humans (mermaids) and a human, but Danielle did not disappoint. I also loved how each chapter stated qualities of an Aquarius, something that I did not know much about. While there were many good qualities to the story, there were some flaws. The major one that stuck out to me was how quick things happened. For example (without giving out too many spoilers), another character hurt the main character. The main character would be hurt, but then a few paragraphs later she is over it. No explanation or process of how she was okay over something so big. There were also a few timing issues. As a reader you would have sworn a couple weeks passed, even the way things were described/written it seemed like a few weeks passed. Then all of a sudden, it was only a day, or a night. Which left me thinking, what did I miss? Overall I really enjoyed reading my first mermaid book, and can’t wait to read other books by Danielle and the 11 stand alone books of this series.

This was my first book by this author and I was very entertained. Romance Under Aquarius is all things mermaid, treasure hunting, and sweet Paranormal Romance. This is a multi-POV book with an engaging story, and due to this, we get 4 different stories in one! Maris is a mermaid princess looking for more. Kasper is searching for a treasure to save his brother. Pasha wants more than she is destined for. And Ryn learns that what he thought he wanted, wasn’t what he wanted at all.

This was a very fun tale. 4 friends and their tales. All showing how similar but also how very different these friendships are. Friendship and adventure lead through each tale, as well as the strength of each individual. This was an interesting read and I love anything Greek Mythology. The road it takes you down is one of fairy tale and myth all in one. I would read this and other tales again.

This is a great romance story that has a fantasy element interwoven throughout. I though this was a well written book that pulls you into the lives of the characters. I enjoyed the multiple points of view that you get to experience this book through, and the different aspects that brings to the story. This is still a relatively new author to me but the more of her work I read the more I am enjoying of it. I thought this was a strong start to a new series and I am looking forward to whatever is to come next.

This is not the first book I’ve read by the author. Romance under Aquarius is a fantastic read and will leave you wanting more. This is the first book in the Stargazing Series. There were four main characters, but two that stuck out the most.
Maris is a merperson and can’t wait to get married. Her best friend is concerned about her doing an arranged marriage, but it’s what her family had planned for her. She then catches her best friend and future husband in bed together. The quote I chose for Maris is: “Don’t feel bad for me. Ryn seems like a nice merman.”
Kasper will do anything to save his brother. Including finding a merperson to help him out. He doesn’t want to trust her, but it becomes inevitable once he gets to know her. He wants to pursue a relationship with her, but isn’t sure where to start. The quote I chose for Kasper is: “Fine. Yes. I’m jealous . Are you happy now?”

This was an interesting take on zodiac mythology and something unique that was interesting to learn about. I enjoyed how easily and quickly the story flowed throughout the book. I was also enchanted by the idea of merfolk and how they live – along with their system of life and culture. Each voice of the characters was well defined and multi-dimensional in a way that really helps the reader understand them and their actions. Told from the perspective of the four main characters, this story was short but ultimately satisfying to read.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were interesting and the plot flowed nicely. The way it combined the story of a human and a mermaid, and their intersection, was unique. Atlantis is one of those fascinating topics that contains so much mystery it’s neat to hear a story about it. Overall a cute romantic story combined with a mythological/astrological element that doesn’t disappoint.

Romance Under Aquarius by Danielle Jacks is her contribution to a multi-author collaboration- the first instalment in the Stargazing series, the new series of 12 standalone stories that all use the same theme as inspiration. Romance Under Aquarius is different to anything that I have read from Danielle Jacks before, and I was captivated by the gorgeous cover even before I knew anything about the story, or series. This is a wonderful paranormal romance incorporating the zodiac, Atlantis, some mythology, mermaids, a bit of a quest for treasure, friendship, true love, sacrifice, adventure, and chemistry. We get a multi-character perspective that adds to the depth and overall intrigue of the story. I enjoyed how the added perspectives gave the story extra layers and complexity. I couldn’t help but become invested in the characters and the outcome of their stories. I will definitely be exploring more of this series as the instalments are released. And as always, I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Jacks has in store for us next. One of my favourites from this talented author. Happy Reading!

This is a truly amazing mythology romance. I really enjoyed how different this book is. It’s the perfect combination of mythology, astrology, the lost city of Atlantis and merpeople. There’s also romance which I absolutely adore. Maris has had her heart broken by the man she was due to marry. She takes off from Atlantis and finds a man drowning. She joins him on an adventure and as much as they try to fight their growing feelings for each other it seems like fate is bringing them together. It won’t be an easy feat to make their relationship work though because she is a Princess and is expected to marry someone of like status. Will Maris follow her heart or tradition? This is one unique romance that you won’t want to miss!

I totally enjoyed this story!! This book was different then what I read and do not have to many opportunities to enjoy a book with mermaids with a mix of astrology. The story unfolds with 4 points of view….. Maris, Ryn, Pasha and Kasper. I love getting a POV from each character in the chapter and fate truly brings them all together. Maris, Ryn and Pasha are merfolk where Kasper is human. Maris saves Kasper which then turns into adventure to try and save Kasper’s brother from an illness. Ryn and Pasha are mixed into save Maris. Will Maris, Ryn, Pasha and Kasper be able to save Atlantis and also Kasper’s brother?
There is adventure, deceit, choices to be made and romance all mixed in to this wonderful story. I loved it!!!

Often I read books where I find myself glazing over details to focus on the “good parts”… with this book I found it was all good parts! I was just as interested in the way all the pieces fit together as I was with the romances throughout. Danielle did a great job tying in the characteristics of Aquarius and a fun twist on a known myth.
This is the first book I read that was a romance between human and non-human beings, and I was skeptical at first, but the questions I had regarding the technical aspects of it were answered early on and very smoothly. There were seamless transitions between land and sea – with the familiarity of a timeless tale. There were a wealth of characters and the nuances between them were logical and realistic. I especially liked Owen and his ultimate surprise journey.

So when I first read the synopsis for this book I wasn’t overly sure what I was going to be reading but I am so glad that I gave it a go it really was a wonderful read. The authors writing was excellent, so easy to read even though it was a pretty complex and multi layered storyline. The author clearly had taken her time in planning to ensure that the story flowed seamlessly and it definitely did. The characters were so interesting to read about, they were all really individual but each of them great in their own way. I really did enjoy this book and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

A book that has it all. Treasure hunts, mermaids, magic and adventure. Mythology, the lost city of Atlantis and a developing relationship between two strong characters. I enjoyed this story although I felt that there were definitely some smaller plot holes and some of the central characters really acted against who they were portrayed to be. That aside I found that I really wanted to see what happened and so I finished it in one sitting. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is the first book in the Stargazing series and I was not disappointed. This is also the first book that I have read from this author. I like the author’s style of writing. She has a way of bringing the characters to life. I can feel every emotion the characters are feeling, and visualize everything they are seeing. I’m excited to see what the author has in store for this series. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Zodiac, paranormal and romance This was such an engaging read. Very well written, with mer people and treasure hunting, it was a brilliant mix. Every character was highly developed and the world building was amazing. I love the zodiac aspect and was intrigued with the spin on Greek mythology. Told from multiple POV this book is one not to be missed. Can’t wait for book 2.

This book was so well written, and so engaging for me! I was swept away by the story line, the characters, wondering what would develop! I really enjoyed reading this book by this wonderful author. I enjoyed the book through out!
This book was amazing! I loved how lives seemed to intertwine in this story. I have always loved the tales of Greek Mythology, and I must say this book truly satisfied my want for it! I enjoyed being swept with the emotions and feelings of the characters. Honestly this book had it all, the quest for love, a lost treasure, a city unknown to man. It was a trip for me and captivated truly. I really loved this one, and I can not wait to read more in the series! This book gave me so much! It was a grand and mesmerizing adventure! I wish this book did not come to an end; I wasn’t ready to reach the final page when I did!
Loved this book with a passion. The writing and story line really fueled my passion for mythology and the quest for it that lies within my heart! Highly recommend this must-read book!

If Mermaids, treasure hunts, drama and love are the key elements to a good book for you, then this book is the one you want to read. This very talented Author has created such a wonderful world for her readers to explore with such vivid images that you really feel as though you are right there with the characters. I was captivated by the story of Maris and Kasper in particular and greedily read as fast as I could to see if things would turn out the way I really hoped they would for them and all of Atlantis. I know I can’t wait to see what comes next in this fabulous series!
