Romance under Aquarius is the first book in this series. Danielle usually writes contemporary romance so it was a nice change to see something a little different. It is a paranormal romance with lots of different and interesting elements and developments. There is a lot going on so the story is told from many different POV’s giving us an even deeper look at the characters and just who they are.

With the lost city of Atlantis and Greek mythology, hot Mermen and Mermaids, royalty and cheating fiancés, drama and steamy romance there is a little of everything for any lover of paranormal.

I will not share anything more as you need discover it all on your own.

As one of twelve standalone books in this series I look forward to more.

I enjoyed reading this story. This is the first book of this new series and what a great start it is. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. One of the things I enjoy about this author is her ability to pull you into the story from the start. The characters bring her story to life on each page. They are connectable and just made the story for me. There is much going on in this story but it all fits together where it is not confusing. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story realistic. There is great growth of the plot and also the characters throughout. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and hard to put down. I highly recommend this story and this author.

Romance Under Aquarius is a story from the four-point of view of Maris and her best friend, fiance, and a stranger named Kasper. The first three are the occupants of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis and come together with Kasper to start an adventure to save Kasper’s brother. This adventure lands them in a lot of unlikely scenarios that they need to navigate their way out of. All of the characters are well-written and multi-dimensional. I instantly liked Maris and the lovable rogue, Kasper. I never came around to liking Ryn or Pasha. With the way the story starts, I just could not find it in my heart to feel anything positive towards either of them. This story is based on the qualities of the zodiac sign of Aquarius and every chapter displays those qualities beautifully. Romance Under Aquarius was a charming romance story. It wasn’t too intense but very fulfilling. The entire story kept me entertained and smiling.

I really enjoyed this romance story. It was a mixture of romance and adventure with mythology and astrology mixed in to make this a really unique story.

Maris is the princess and a mermaid.Destined to marry Ryn and become ruler she was happy with that life until she discovers that Ryn doesn’t love her but wants to be with her best friend Pasha.
Devastated and angry she leaves Atlantis and sees a human man drowning. Defying all rules and logic she saves him and this starts what would be an adventure to change both of their lives.

Kasper is on the hunt for a mystical item that is said to restore health. All he wants is to stop his brother from dying and he will do anything to do that even risking his own life. So when he gets saved by a mermaid he is amazed when she offers to help him. Together they begin the quest of unravelling the clues to find the missing pieces that they need.
As the feelings and connection between them build they struggle to keep themselves as just friends and things become even harder when it seems the gods themselves want them to be together.

Can they solve this quest and save Kasper’s brother? Will Kasper and Mari ever be able to be together? Or will Mari’s position as Princess stop any romance before it even begins? Will she have to go along with her destiny and marry a man she doesn’t love and who doesn’t love her?

What a fun romantic adventure this book is! Kasper and Maris remind me of an adult Little Mermaid (not quite so wholesome). Kasper is trying to find a way that will heal his brother’s cancer and comes across Maris, a mermaid. The two of them continue the search for the healing jug with a few misadventures. Maris’ friends try to help her but end up messing up and causing their own ruckus. This book is laugh out loud funny! My family wanted to know what I was I was giggling at. The chemistry between Kasper and Maris was so well-done. It felt so natural. Her flirting with Owen and making Kasper jealous was awesome. The sibling rivalry fun was a nice touch. Pasha and Ryn’s betrayal of Maris and further misadventures seemed just right. I didn’t see that plot twist coming. Perfect! It fit in so smooth. I would have loved to see more of Pasha’s mom’s backstory. It was so intriguing that I had to keep going and couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was coming next. An engaging read that will have you waiting eagerly for the next book in the series. A quick and entertaining read that I recommend for romance lovers.

I really loved this story as Jody is not the “normal” main character. Shes got flaws and felt more like someone I would be friends with.

The Heart of Baker’s Bay by Danielle Jacks

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Jacks. Each book seems to get better. The more I read the more I fall in love with the author. I highly recommend you read any of her books.

Jody has gotten fired from another job. Now her sister is mad at her because she can’t keep a job. Her grandmother is now hurt and her sister can’t make it down to help. Going down herself might be what’s best for everyone. The quote I chose for Jody is: “Don’t call me that, you’re not my mother. I was on a trial. The probation period has come to an end which means I’m free to go. I didn’t do anything.”

Adam has always kept his head down when it comes to new people in town. But when Mrs. Evans needs help, he’s there to help out. He keeps calling Hannah hoping to get her to come down, but he wasn’t expecting Jody to be the one to show up. The quote I chose for Adam is: “I need to get a move on if I want to finish my round before teatime. I’ll check in with you tomorrow morning unless you need anything else.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

The Heart of Baker Bay by Danielle Jacks was a really super sweet, easy to read, bring to the beach (or back patio) book!! I loved every minute. The main characters, Jody and Adam, start out as enemies, then turn into friends and then va-va-voom!! At first, Jody was not my favorite, but then, I realized that deep down, we all have a little Jody in us. I loved this and I’m looking forward to more books from Danielle Jacks in the future!!!

This book had me hooked from the beginning. Jody can’t hold down a job, is unfocused and lacks drive – as her family keeps reminding her. Once again she is unemployed, and when her grandma needs someone to help she’s reluctant to go, thinking she’ll only mess it up as usual. However, once away from her family she has the chance to thrive.
Adam had spent his whole life in Clover Bay and has no intentions of ever leaving. He isn’t sure what to make of Jody, but he’s sure nothing can happen as she isn’t staying for long.
As Jody and Adam strike up a friendship, they start to push each others self imposed boundaries, urging and supporting the other to try something new and live a little differently.
I loved how these two helped each other out and really supported each other. Adam was a total sweetheart, always there to help and support anyone who needed him. Leaving her family was the best thing for Jody as I don’t think she realised how much they influenced her work attitude.
I really enjoyed the ending, it was perfect for these two and the epilogue was so sweet.

At first, I wasn’t a huge fan of Jody. I thought she was kind of needy and I didn’t really understand her as a character. But as I read, I grew to like her odd quirks and I learned why she had certain feelings about herself – she grew on me as I got to see her through Adam’s eyes. I really appreciated having his point of view as well because it added to character development throughout. It was an easy read and had a sweet ending.

The Heart of Baker’s Bay by Danielle Jacks

When I first started reading this I wasn’t sure I was going like Jody but I quickly fell in love with her, I wasn’t the only one but I think I was quicker to admit it.

My Heart hurt for Adam and I understood her reluctance in even talking with Jody, but he wouldn’t allow that get in the way of helping Jody and the Cafe.

I loved Kayleigh and Sarah as supporting characters.   Every girl needs a beat friend and Jody is lucky enough to have both of these special ladies.

It was an enjoyable read and was a little sad when it was over.

I simply adored this story both Adam and Jody as well as a whole host of other characters make this story into one that you will want to be whisked away to the heart of the story. It did start a little slowly, but then suddenly I was pulled in and that was it, I couldn’t stop reading. Jody and Adam both grow as you read, and this is just simply a great story.

The Heart of Baker Bay by the wonderful Danielle Jacks is a beautiful story full of warmth, heart and truly wonderful characters. It just makes you feel so good to read about and be apart of this charming community that she has created. It is a five start read from start to finish!

Jody moves from job to job, unsure of where she truly fits in. When her grandmother needs help with her cafe in the tiny village of Clover Bay after hurting herself, Jody is the one that steps up to help even though she is unsure if she is really the right person for the job.

Along comes Adam, a man completely devoted to his village and the wonderful people in it. At first he sees Jody as nothing but trouble but soon becomes to realise there is so much more to the young woman who is simply trying to find where she truly belongs in life.

A friendship and deep attraction builds between the two but can they actually become more than that when Jody being in Clover Bay is only temporary. Together they will face some tough decisions the question is will love win out in the end??

This was a good 4 star read.
Jody is someone who has a hard time keeping a job. After losing her most recent job she is given an opportunity to go and help her grandmother with her store. This is where she meets Adam. There is something about Jody that pulls Adam in, he’s got some pretty big walls up due to having his heartbroken before.

Overall I really enjoyed this read. Jody and Adam were great characters and you could feel their chemistry coming off the pages. There were times that Adam could get a little standoffish and rude but as you read more of the story you will understand him better. Will Adam lower his walls and let Jody in? If you’re looking for a great romance this is the one for you. 1-click and get started today.

But I liked that she had some growth during the story because it made her more likable. Adam is also a great main character and he was such a good match for Jody. Danielle Jacks is a new to me author and I’m so thrilled I stumbled upon The Heart of Baker Bay. This story was a sweet and easy read about a City girl, Jody, who moves to a small town to help her grandma run her cafe after her grandma has an accident. Jody is always well meaning, but somehow manages to fudge many of things up in her life, going from one job to the next. She has no confidence in being able to run the cafe, and her family has no confidence in her either. Enter Adam. Adam is the postal delivery man, whom seems cold and shut off from people. As he gets to know Jody, he helps her learn how to take care of the cafe, as well as gain confidence. He also learns alot about her, and she him, making this story that much more interesting! I give this story 5 stars and am looking forward to exploring my works by this author!

I adored this. My heart connected with Jody more than I wanted to admit. She felt like the family screw up and wasn’t sure what chance she had. It was a city girl meets a small town boy with sparks flying. He didn’t think she belonged there and she didn’t know where she belonged at all. Though, Jody found out she was way more capable than she felt. I loved this story. I adore Jody and Adam’s love even more. I was laughing, tearing up, and cheering for them.

I fell in love with this book after a few pages. Jody has some major insecurities, mostly from her lack of keeping a job long term and her family’s view of her being a screw up. When she finds out her grandmother has fallen and hurt herself she soon realizes that she will be the one to go to Clover Bay to help out at her grandmother’s bakery. Jody is not feeling very optimistic and she’s afraid she will screw it up. Adam is the one who called and told Jody and her sister Hannah about their grandmother, he was expecting Hanmah not Jody who looks to him like a high maintenance city girl. Adam has been hurt in the past by an outsider so he chooses to stick to interacting with the locals. I really enjoyed watching both of these characters grow throughout the story. They both tell themselves not to get close to each other but both find themselves enjoying spending time together while Adam helps teach Jody a few things. Will Jody find her niche working in the bakery? What will happen between these two? This is a must read to find out. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This isn’t the first book by Jacks that I’ve read. Confessions of a Sophomore Prankster is a great story. Jacks has a way of spinning her words.

Casey has always been a wallflower. Losing her best friend in a fire has changed her all together. Sophomore year rolls around and she’s caught the eye of a jock. She thinks she can resist his charm, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The quote I chose for Casey is: “I’m not playing this game. It’s so stupid. I agreed to one evening with you so it would please my dad. We both know this isn’t going anywhere. Tomorrow, you’ll go back to being an obnoxious jock, and I’ll be back in the library researching how to raise the dead.”

Seeter is Wide Receiver for the college football team. Pulling pranks is all he can think about. Trying not to get caught he hides out in the library. There he meets someone who he can’t stop thinking of. The quote I chose for Seeter is: “I found a guy that’s been running a bar for over five years. He has a marketing degree and managed to turn a failing business into a successful one. He’s starting work here on Monday and he designed the flyers as part of his interview.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

This Wasnt what i expected as I really expected Brandon to be a jerk and not care about anything and he proved me way wrong.

Oh my gosh this book needs to be a movie or even better a series. This book just evokes that wide range of emotions that you want to feel as you read those small town summer romances. I was instantly swept away with Jody’s story and her complete transformation in The Heart of Baker’s Bay. This is one of those books that will take you to the beach and make you fall in love all over again. I have always loved Danielle Jacks novels but this one has quickly become one of my absolute favorites and I am so excited to own this baby on my bookshelf to devour over and over again in the future. You won’t want to miss this one if you love books with love, small towns, growth, a lot of push and pull, and moments that will make you completely swoon. I cannot wait to see what we will get next from the mind of Ms. Jacks!

This book was fantastic. It grabbed my heart from the very beginning. I could really relate to Jody and what she was experiencing by her family, although I had not been fired from many jobs like she was. Jody feels like a screw up and is scared out of wits to take on the Botanical Tearoom café when her grandmother has an injury. This was a heartwarming story and did not disappoint in any way. Danielle Jacks has done it again. Excellent.

Confessions Of A Sophomore Prankster is the 6th book in the Frat House Confessions series by Danielle Jacks. Each book can be read as a standalone. I had not read any of the previous books in the series and didn’t feel that I was missing anything. I have read other books by the author and have enjoyed them.
Brandon Setter is at college to enjoy the party lifestyle and create pranks. Casey Nelson is the polar opposite. She is most likely to be found in the library. When Casey helps him evade being caught with one of his pranks, he’s drawn to her and doesn’t understand why.
When her father, his football coach asks him to watch out for her it gives him the excuse to spend more time with the lovely Casey.
I loved reading Setter and Casey’s story. They couldn’t be any more different if they tried. Well, they do say that opposites attract.
This is a very entertaining story. Setter’s pranks alone could fill a book. Add this to their budding friendship and Setter’s family controlling his life makes for a very enjoyable read.
I was pulled into the story from the very start and remained interested and entertained until the very end. A very enjoyable read.

I may never judge a book by it’s cover but I will definitely choose to read one based on it. That is one of the things that drew me to Danielle Jacks’ book, The Heart of Baker Bay. Danielle Jacks is a new to me author with a knack for catching the reader’s attention. Or at least mine, I’m still stuck on her other book’s title, Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes. What really captured my attention during this story was the characters. Each one felt realistic and authentic and really gave the story depth, especially Jody. Despite her insecurities and flaws, Jody was a “real” character, someone you see your friends or maybe even yourself in. Overall, the Heart of Baker Bay was a cute romantic read with the importance of family woven on. 4 out of 5 stars from me.

I really enjoyed stepping into Clover Bay. A very tight knit community where the only newcomers are tourists.
Jody is a mess. She can’t or won’t keep a job, lives with her sister and is considered the screw up of the family. A call comes that her grandmother has fallen and needs help running her little cafe. Jody goes, with doubts galore. No one every relies on her, she can’t follow through and always drops the ball. Her grandmother believes she will do great. All she must do is take care of customers, clean up, ooohh and bake.
Adam delivers packages for Clover Bay and helps Jody’s grandmother. He was the one to make the call to have a family member come help. His heart has been broken before by an outsider. He holds Jody at arms length but goes out of his way to help to make sure the café runs smoothly, including teaching Jody to bake.
Jody grows up so much, learning to rely on herself and that she doesn’t have to be the family screw-up. Jody and Adam have such a great connection, but can they overcome the roadblocks that just keep popping up? I loved this read. Thank you, Danielle Jacks!!

This was such a lovely story, I absolutely loved it. I was engaged form beginning to end and the authors writing was just beautiful, it was so easy to read. The characters felt so realistic, I honestly felt like I was right there with them. The author made them so likeable and relatable. Adam’s character was really interesting, I wasn’t sure about him to start with but as the story progressed and I began to see him unravel so to speak and I could totally understand why he was the way he was. I really felt for Jody, she was so down about herself. I loved this pair together, I felt like they had a genuine connection and I was rooting for them the whole way through.
I 100% recommend this story, it is beautifully written and was an absolute joy to read.
