Rage Against The Devil (Wild Beasts Series Book 3) by T. Birmingham

This is way more than a 5 star read!!

Eire Donovan, an Others enforcer, has been assigned to to investigate a string of Others murders. She’s tough, showing no emotion and has been more than once called a cold hearted b**** and she has no problem with that, she’s actually quite happy with that. Her childhood was awful and although close to them once, she doesn’t even keep in touch with her brothers. Her investigation takes her to the town of Montville, New York, the location of the latest murder, where she finds she will have to work with a group of what she considers misfits.

Nicholas Arviso, a lone wolf, that is completely happy living alone and away from everyone. Trying with all he has to escape his past sins. He comes across a murder that has occurred in his own back yard. As he gathers his forces to begin an investigation an unknown shows up claiming to be an enforcer for the Others.

Another war rages on in Montville, and all the participants whether Other or Clan, light or dark will all be required in order to solve it and get the answers they need to solve the case. This story revolves a lot around Eire and Nicholas, and what it takes to be able to accept who they are as they are forced to learn more about themselves and each other, and in the process try to deal with feelings for each other that could possibly destroy them in the end.

This series is so hard to review, there is so much involved in this story that it would normally be hard to follow, but this author describes everything in a way that you have no problems connecting all the dots and just like book one, I’ve never read any books where the epilogues are as jaw dropping as these. I would highly recommend reading these books in order to be able to understand everything going on and getting to know all the characters because each one is important. That’s something else that I love about this series…each person in these books are front and center at one point or another all the way through. I’m not a reader of Paranormal normally, but from here on it doesn’t matter what this author writes I will be one of the first in line to one click!! I can not wait for the next book, and the best part is I will get to read the first ones again when the next comes out so that I don’t forget any one of the amazing details.

The Devil’s Pride (Wild Beasts Series Book 1) by T. Birmingham – Review by Debi Kircher

The Devil's Pride (Wild Beasts Series Book 1)The Devil’s Pride by T. Birmingham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Devil’s Pride (Wild Beasts Series Book 1) by T. Birmingham

5 Stars only because that’s max, this is an off the star chart read.

Sad I’m done with this book, but happy because I can go right back to page 1 and read it again 🙂

I normally start a review talking about the characters of the book and leave my feelings to the end, but I am putting my feelings first for this one so everyone that doesn’t hit the see more will still see them. I do not normally read paranormal romances or paranormal stories of any kind but this one for some reason caught my attention. I was scared because they normally don’t hold my interest and I then don’t finish the book, which I hate which is why I don’t read them. THIS BOOK!!!! I don’t even have words to tell you how good this book was written, it had me from page 1 and refused to let go till I was finished, and I don’t feel like I took a breath throughout the entire story. This author is AMAZING, and I can not wait to pull up her website and grab anything there that’s part of this series…I want more, and I’m sure you will too. So if you are anything like me and don’t read this book because it’s a paranormal story trust me and give it a shot..you will LOVE it!!

Alexia Maria Garda-Martinez has always known she was different, and if she didn’t know it most everyone let her know by calling her a demon and showing fear when they looked at her. With her red eyes, blood red colored hair, and pale skin. She’s lived for years in foster care and state homes, usually ending badly and forcing her on to the next, she thought she had a home until tragedy struck and she was without a home yet again, until the Martinez’s. Where she now has a family that she loves and that loves her. She has a great career, a full life and a wonderful best friend/roommate Mindy. Along with some very vivid dreams that she can not explain or forget about involving a dark, mysterious man she has named Midnight.

Devon Waters was forced to leave Montville, New York, and his twin brother Cam fifteen years ago. Now he is back trying to reconnect with his brother, who is a detective working on a case, a brutal family murder with unexplainable clues.

There are forces at work in this small town, a war between good and evil. All of the characters in this story are drawn into this war in one way or the other. The story focuses a lot on Devon and Alexia, but there are other characters as well that are just as important.

I can’t even explain anymore of this book, because I could go on for days telling this story, all I will say is that it was outstanding and I do highly recommend it and the epilogue….ugh!!

I can only think of one word to describe this story, Brilliant, every word, every twist and turn of this book was amazing. I felt every emotion while reading this book. Thank you Betty Shreffler for an amazing story…going in my to be read again folder for sure. Loved it!!

Love, Me (A Pleasant Valley Novel) by Anna Brooks – Review by Debi Kircher

Love, Me (Pleasant Valley, #2)Love, Me by Anna Brooks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love, Me (A Pleasant Valley Novel) by Anna Brooks
5x a million stars!

This is my first book by this author and all I can think of is why have I never read one of her books because this was amazing!!

Rayne Garner works at her parents restaurant, she made a promise to her boyfriend and has remained completely loyal, and faithful since. She lives her life for someone that really doesn’t even deserve it. She has amazing friends and family that are always there when she needs them. She has never thought twice about being disloyal until she meets the guy that just rented the store next door to the restaurant.

Vaughn Morris just moved back to town and rents a building to open his tattoo shop. He comes off as a tough guy yet has deep feelings. His childhood was awful and he has never had the family he wished he’d had. He is haunted daily with memories of his past life in this town and questions coming back until he meets the girl at the restaurant next door.

There is an instant connection between Rayne and Vaughn, the problem is the more he pursues the more she backs away yet always comes back. The mixed signals drive Vaughn nuts and when she begs to just be friends he makes it clear that won’t be enough for him. When he finds out there’s a boyfriend he backs away. He will never touch another man’s woman. Rayne just can’t help being pulled back towards Vaughn every chance she gets. She can see that underneath all his cockiness there is a lot of pain, but how can she help him when she can’t face her own reality. Can they both get past the challenges that lie ahead of them? Can each one find happiness?

I truly loved this story. the characters were written so perfectly and I fell in love with everyone in this book. The author caught me off guard a couple times, I can normally read a book and come up with what might happen, but in this one there were a couple surprises. I can not wait to read all of her other books. This was amazing and I highly recommend it!

12 Hours in Paradise by Kathryn Berla – Review by Debi Kircher

12 Hours in Paradise12 Hours in Paradise by Kathryn Berla
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

12 Hours In Paradise, written by Kathryn Berla. I’m giving 5 stars and that is only because they won’t let me give more.
This is my first book by this author, and the first thing I did when I finished was pop her name in google so that I could look up all her other books to read. This is a standalone novel which had me wrapped from word one. Arash and Dorothy are two young adults (under 18) that have a chance encounter on Dorothy’s last day of a family vacation in Hawaii, thanks to Dorothy’s little brother Chester who embarrasses Dorothy in front of a group of guys in a cookie store. A good deed after this encounter brings Arash who is in Hawaii for a high school band competition, to Dorothy’s hotel where he accompanies Dorothy and Chester to the hotels Happy Hour for virgin drinks and snacks. It would seem the night would end there but as Dorothy settles in for the night sharing a room with her granny she receives a text, “Come out and play” which has her sneaking out of her hotel and meeting Arash for an adventure that is all their own. They start on a journey of 36 questions that is supposed to have them falling in love at the end of the last question. Both of them knowing their time is limited and could get them both in so much trouble for sneaking out they embark on their journey “in for a penny in for a pound”. This author’s writing style is amazing, her words flowed so beautifully that every word just felt right. How she brought these two characters to life in my mind had me falling in love with both of them. What happened to these two during the 36 questions was not only them getting to know each other but getting to know themselves. The adventures that they encountered along the way really made me want to go on an adventure just like this with my husband of 36 years. The only negative I can give about this book is that it was only 150 pages, I didn’t want it to end. Actually I was scared of how it would end all the way through as I fell in love with both of them. Is 12 hours and 36 questions enough for two teens to fall in love, and what happens when the night ends? Will they both get caught sneaking out? You have to read this book! I can not say enough about it or this author…This is going in my will read again over and over file.

Sweet Water by Laurie L.C. Lewis – Review by Debi Kircher

Sweet Water (Destination Billionaire Romance #5)Sweet Water by Laurie L.C. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet Water by Laurie Lewis is a Destination Billionaire Romance.

Have you ever started reading a book and just knew from page one that you were gonna love it? It usually takes me a few pages to know but this one just grabbed me and it physically hurt when I would have to put it down to do things like breathe or fix supper and tend to my family.

This is a story about Hudson, Olivia, and Jeff, three best friends that launched a company together. The friendship and the company was strong until one day Hudson finds out that Olivia and Jeff had eloped, shattering Hudson’s heart and all the plans he had. He took this pain and worked extremely hard with the company the three of them were to share and made billions.

Years later there is a tragic accident that has Olivia waking up in the hospital with so many questions and not enough answers. The only thing she is completely aware of is that she is now a widow. A familiar voice awakens her in her hospital room and when she opens her eyes she immediately recognizes Hudson, who has come to offer her help and his home nearby for her to stay in while she gets better. A home she had spent time in years ago when her, Jeff, and Hudson were still close. Her anger bubbles up the minute she sees him telling him to get out! She blames him for everything that was wrong in her life, he stole the company from her and Jeff which caused her marriage to always be strained leading to an accident leaving her a widow and ruining her chances of being the family she always dreamed of.

After conversations with her sister in law she realized she had no choice but to take Hudson up on his offer. Going back to this house brought back so many memories and Hudson wanting to help her confused her. He offered her a job making a real paycheck and she accepted. Little things Hudson had said to her on the few times they spoke had her tied up in knots. So many questions started popping up in her head. Memories that she tried to organize and explain, right down to Jeff’s hasty marriage proposal and their marriage that always seemed to lack any kind of feeling.

Her new job and her new quest for answers opens feelings for Olivia that she had pushed aside and buried, things start coming together in her mind. Long ago events that she always wondered about start making sense. She needs to make things right, she needs to face the feelings she’s had all these years for the man she thought she hated. Can she fix what’s gone wrong in time? Will Hudson be able to see around his hurt and listen to Olivia as she explains all the pieces to the puzzle that led them all to where they are today?

I can’t put into words how much I loved this book, Laurie Lewis has a way with a story and the way she tells it that just grabs a hold and won’t let go. I felt every emotion known to man while reading this book. Do yourself a favor and carve out some time and read this book!! I’m giving it 5 stars only because that’s all there are to give. Loved loved loved it!!!

She tried the dating thing and it ended in heartbreak and has made up her mind that that will never happen again.

He works in the kitchen of his brothers restaurant with dreams of becoming an architect someday, if he could only afford to go to school. Always being reminded that he is a screw up he has never shared with his brother any of his dreams for the future.

Charlotte and Chris meet when Chris and his brother Patrick rush into her store to buy a new suit for Patrick’s first date with someone he met online. Through conversation Charlotte realizes that this someone he is meeting is her best friend Ava. With events that follow it seems the universe is against Patrick and Ava meeting which sets Charlotte and Chris on a matchmaking mission, that ends up making them both question their thoughts about dating. Their connection is immediate, what they have in common is undeniable. Can these two fulfill their mission? Can they let their guards down enough to realize what is staring them in the face? And most importantly can they both find a way to be taken seriously in their hopes for the future?

I did not read the first book of this series, but I plan to as soon as possible. I absolutely loved this book, I loved the way the author brought these characters to life for me. Her writing style grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go. Every part was perfect and I didn’t want it to end!! 5 amazing stars!!

Playing To Win by Ashlie Knapp
5 twitterpated stars!! 🙂

Callie Thompson is 21 years old and a journalism student at University of Oklahoma, with hopes of becoming a sports broadcaster when she graduates. She is an Oklahoma City Thunder dancer, which helps pay her tuition and also gets her foot in the door for her future. Losing her Mom at a young age and being raised by her awesome Dad she’s always been just a bit tomboyish, she loves her sports but especially basketball. She’s been feisty and competitive her whole life. She has amazing friends and a loving father. Her biggest rule in life is no dating athletes. Her past experiences have taught her that they are all alike and the heartbreak is just not worth it.

Kyle Kelly is 26 years old and star player for the Thunder. His team is looking at a possible championship this season and that’s all he wants is an NBA title. The youngest of five kids and the only boy, he was brought up learning southern manners, how to be a gentleman, and learning how to work hard. After one of his games Kyle has a chance to meet the feisty dancer when she literally runs right into him. Shocked by how she’s not falling at his feet and pledging her undying love to him he realizes this is someone he wants to get to know. It takes a bet and a game of H.O.R.S.E. to get his chance. Can he prove to her that he is worth the chance? Can he change her mind and prove he’s not like all athletes as she believes?

This is an awesome book, I read it in one sitting and there are two more after this one that I’m already chomping at the bit to read. The author did an awesome job building each one of these characters and their comical interactions were fantastic. I’m looking forward to finding out who the next two books are about. I no doubt will be adding her to my favorite author list. Loved it!!!

Life’s Second Chances by Anne Stone – Review by Debi Kircher

Life's Second Chances (Show Me, #1)Life’s Second Chances by Anne Stone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Life’s Second Chances by Anne Stone is Book 1 of the Show Me series

This is the story of Alejandro and Angelina.
4 Stars

This story starts out with Angelina applying for a teaching position with St. Margaret’s Catholic school. She had been teaching with another school since college and that sadly ended with the closing of the school due to decreasing enrollment. It’s only a week before school starts and Angelina is thrilled when she hears the words “You’re hired”. While being shown to her new classroom she runs into a familiar face, her best friend from college Gabriella, Angelina is thrilled that Gabriella is also a teacher at St. Margaret’s and her classroom is right across the hall. They haven’t seen or talked to each other much since college as their lives just got so busy, so they are thrilled to be able to reconnect. While catching up with each other and their families Gabriella tells her that her brother Alejandro, a renowned transplant surgeon, has moved back to town to head up the local transplant services. Angelina and Alejandro had never met but had spoken on the phone a few times during their college years. They finally meet for the first time at a surprise birthday party for Gabriella, where he had to leave early for hospital business. They run into each other again at a bookstore and he asks her to grab a bite to eat. When the night ends a phone call comes in that there had a been a terrible accident involving Angelina’s younger sister and Alejandro does all he can to help her and her family through what has happened. Then when Angelina is faced with her own health issues that will change her life forever, Alejandro feels he is the one to get her through it, although he himself is dealing with heart breaking issues from his past. Can these two people get past all the roadblocks keeping them from thinking of a future together? Can they learn to trust each other, lean on each other and find love?

This was a very refreshing, clean, sweet love story. I loved that both of them had very close supportive families and that these families came together often. I did find some of the book to be a bit wordy but that did not take away at all from the storyline and I just got used to it not far in. This was my first book by Anne Stone and definitely won’t be my last.

Make Me Yours by Charity Ferrell – Review by Debi Kircher

Make Me Yours by Charity Ferrell

Stella Mendes, a TV star whose long running series came to an end so she has decided to try her hand at movies. Being brought up in the business she never got to enjoy her childhood as her Mom had her in the spotlight from an early age. She has given up on love because a long term relationship she had ended very badly. She has an awesome best friend that is also her assistant named Willow. Her longtime bodyguard, Dallas was forced to resign so that he could go home and be with his wife and daughter. He brings in his brother Hudson to temporarily take his place until they can hire someone else.

Hudson Barnes, a Marine that just returned home after a 9 month deployment on his 2nd tour overseas. He’s from a small town in Iowa where everybody knows everybody and he loves it. Its home, and he is very close to his parents, his sister and his brother. Family is everything to him. The last thing he wants to do is fly off to LA to “follow around some fancy-ass, high maintenance chick”. His brother guilts him into taking the job temporarily and he agrees to 2 months. Hudson has also given up on love since he returned home to find his fiance is now planning a wedding with his now ex best friend.

The sparks are immediate when Stella and Hudson first meet. The connection is undeniable the more time they spend together. It doesn’t take long for Hudson to realize that he may have rushed to judgement when it comes to Stella. Both Hudson and Stella are so close to rethinking the giving up on love as their attraction to each other just gets stronger. Her contract holds some pretty strong stipulations that don’t make a lot of sense to Hudson and is an issue that he might not be able to get past. When Hudson receives a phone call and has to rush home because of a family emergency Stella joins him. Although they aren’t aware of it, so does the paparazzi. What happens next broke my heart and at the same time made me so angry I was yelling at my kindle. Can these two that have serious trust issues get past everything that lies ahead for them, and even if they do can these two people who are complete opposites make it work?

I double loved this book. I love this author and although this was my first book by her, it will absolutely not be my last. I am just hoping that there is another book coming in this series. I want more Stella, Hudson, Willow and the Barnes family. 5 Stars aren’t enough for this book 🙂

The Boy Friend by Mika Jolie – Review by Debi Kircher

The Boy FriendThe Boy Friend by Mika Jolie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Boy Friend by Mika Jolie, a standalone novel.

This is the story of Cori and Dean, 23 years ago he yanked on one of her pigtails and she punched him in the gut in elementary school and they have been BFFs ever since, like peanut butter and jelly totally inseparable. This story is told 100% from Dean’s POV, it is the first book I have read by this author and also from the guys POV, it was written so that it seemed he was actually talking to me. “Don’t roll your eyes” it really did feel that way. 🙂

Coriander “Cori” Phillips is Dean Morello’s smokin’ hot best friend, an art teacher at their former elementary school, she is smart, perceptive, funny and extremely kind. She didn’t have the most stable childhood but has just about everything figured out in her life except for one thing.

Dean Morello, is confident, cocky, good looking and has no problem finding women to spend time with him. He is definitely not into commitment, love, or marriage and is completely upfront with anyone he chooses to spend time with. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth yet along with his two best friends work hard as their fathers mold them into taking over the financial firm they own.

Cori and Dean’s relationship is completely platonic, they have never even kissed. They are each other’s shoulder to cry on and can and do talk about anything. On one of their weekly non-date dinner dates Cori announces that she has made a decision about her life. Dean is taken by surprise and a bit shocked by this decision but decides it’s best to just be the friend he is supposed to be and offer to help her. The problem is helping her has him dealing with thoughts and feelings that have never really entered his mind before. He was also starting to deal with fears that this decision could be the beginning of the end for their friendship.

Can a man and woman just be friends? What happens when one makes a decision causing the other to question this and possibly want more? What happens when those lines get blurred? Can their friendship survive?

I really liked this book, I loved the friends that were a part of Cori and Dean’s lives, I loved both of their families and I loved the comical interaction between all of them. I loved that the hot scenes were just enough and didn’t take away from the actual storyline. I’m left wondering if other characters in this book will also get their own books in the future. I hope so because I would definitely want to check back in on all of them. I’m giving this book 4 stars only because it was hard to get used to not having anything from Cori’s POV, it was hard not knowing how she felt during a lot of the book. The author did a great job from his POV of how she felt and most of the time it really worked. I definitely recommend this book..it was great!!

Choosing You (Cedarville Series #3) by Bree Kraemer – Review by Debi Kircher

Choosing You (Cedarville #3)Choosing You by Bree Kraemer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Choosing You by Bree Kraemer, book 3 of the Cedarville series.

This can be read as a standalone, which is what I did since this was the first book I have read by this author. I will though be downloading the first 2 in this series today and reading them as soon as possible.

Carly Graham, an independent woman who had her heart not only broken but shattered back in college and will never allow falling in love to rule her life ever again. She has two awesome best friends, family she adores, and owns a successful business. She lives her life exactly how she wants it. So why does a good friend of her 2 cousins cause her to question everything? He is so bossy and aggravating and makes her crazy, yet she always feels safe whenever he is near.

Anthony Scott owns his own security firm and is training his sister Addison to run it with him. He loves the new town he moved to. He has some great friends and a very supportive family. His only problem is his good friends cousin, she drives him crazy and has taken over most of his thoughts and is seriously cramping his hooking up with anyone else because all he can think about is her.

A bottle of vodka, and some seriously hot drunk texts causes too many questions that need answers. It seems Carly and Anthony are the only two that don’t know the answers to these questions. One day Anthony becomes aware of an issue with his sister and enlists the help of Carly and her friends. Fixing this issue is easy, the hard part is it causes Anthony and Carly to spend even more time together. Just when Carly is ready to face and deal with her feelings for Anthony something from her past slams into her life. She is left with a huge choice, and no matter which choice she makes it will affect everything and everybody in her life.

I loved this book, it made me happy, sad, hopeful, and angry all within just a few pages. The story flowed perfectly and the author created all of the characters in this book so that you couldn’t help but fall in love with them, or seriously detest them in a few cases. I will not only be getting the first two in this series but will also be checking out her other books as well. Definitely a five star read!!!

Head Tripped by Nicole Archer – Review by Debi Kircher

Head-Tripped (Ad Agency #2)Head-Tripped by Nicole Archer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Head Tripped by Nicole Archer, Ad Agency book 2 of 2.

I would say this could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first of this series where you will first meet Effie, as well as some of the others in this book.

I only finished the first book of this series Road Tripped yesterday and fell in love with this author, after reading this one I already want to read them both again.

Effie Murphy, aka f-bomb, a violinist who moves to New York hoping for a brand new start. She’s broken, jobless, and flat broke. Trying to overcome a terrible childhood with an overbearing mother, a twin sister she resented, and a seriously troubled past. She just can not catch a break until one night she is forced to be deceptive and stand in for her twin at an awards ceremony, where she meets Elias.

Elias, aka El Love, is trying to overcome a troubled past and is also the frontman for Urban, one of the hottest rock bands in the world, a band whose concerts are getting stale and in desperate need of some new material. Pressured by his roommate to attend the ceremony he goes along hoping he doesn’t get recognized. He hates the spotlight, he just wants to be normal so is introduced to Effie as the deadbeat out of work musician roommate.

After an incident at the ceremony where Elias helps Effie out, they end up leaving the event where Effie’s antics leave Elias wondering what in the world he is doing with this girl, yet not being able to tear himself away from her. When they end up back at her place, where she makes it clear there will be no funny business between the two of them. The connection is formed at that point through music, he realizes just how talented she is and they end up writing songs together. Then their time together comes to an end. She is heartbroken. He is ok with her believing he is an unemployed nobody because he is leaving in a few days on tour, only problem is he can not quit thinking about her. When he comes up with a way to have her join their band he jumps all over it. Effie, still not having any clue who he really is, when offered the chance to meet him overseas and be a part of what she believes is his “garage band” it only takes a few seconds to go from let me think about it to ok I’ll do it.

How will Effie react when she finds out who he really is? Will she be able to find her place within this group of people so set in their ways? There is a list of rules each member has to follow, these rules set up by Elias way back when they formed the band. The number one rule forces them to hide their growing attraction and relationship, which brings on many hilarious adventures for these two. What happens though when their troubled pasts rear their ugly heads? Can they make it through it? Can the band make it through it? Most important can their hearts make it through it?

I loved loved loved this story. I didn’t find it as LOL funny as the first book but I did find it wrapped deeper in emotion than the first. I fell in love with Effie and Elias..their characters were written beautifully and their stories although tragic in some ways were very touching and written perfectly. I have found myself very protective over my favorite authors and have only added a handful that I will read anything they write no matter what and Nicole Archer has definitely been added to that list. This is only a 5 star read because they won’t let me give any more than that!

Road Tripped by Nicole Archer – Review by Debi Kircher

Road-Tripped (Ad Agency #1)Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Road Tripped by Nicole Archer, Ad agency, Book 1 of a 2 book series.

There was more than a few times that I was reading along with my husband in the room where I tried with everything I had not to LOL while reading this book. I would end up snorting because some parts are just too much LOL. Nicole Archer has a way of describing things that make you laugh about a scene even after a few minutes go by.

This is a romantic comedy about 2 people Callie Murphy and Walker Rhodes.

Callie is a copy writer for her long time friends advertising firm. She landed there with literally just the clothes on her back, a severely bad attitude and horrendous potty mouth after he rescued her from the cause of all of this. She is completely disgusted by her coworkers and spends quite a bit of time creating a list of “murder methods for merrymaking coworkers” her boss/longtime friend inherited this ad agency and spends more time treating it like a playground then a real business. He threatens to fire her on a regular basis but she has too much on him and is in no way in fear of losing her job. The relationship between her and her boss is just one of the many reasons I love this book so much.

Walker Rhodes, the resident photographer/art director, or better known to Callie as the resident “manwhore” hates his job, is sick of women and has lost all his passion in his life long dream. An upcoming cross country tour for an RV client with his partner has him thinking this could be just what he needs to get him out of his rut, until his partner backs out and he is assigned a new partner, none other than “the ice queen” Callie Murphy.

Callie refuses this tour until her boss pours his heart out letting her know the actual stipulations to his inheriting the agency, and if they lose this client it would end them. After all he has done for Callie she can not refuse, besides the fact he was serious when he said he would fire her if she didn’t.

The 2 month adventure begins as they board the RV or as Callie refers to it as the “giant silver dildo” that will become their home for the next 2 months. How in the world these two that can’t stand the sight of each other are supposed to live in such close quarters while they tour the country…well….this is what makes Nicole Archer a genius in my mind. The adventures are awesome, the interaction by these two characters is simply LOL. The storyline is amazing, the hot scenes are seriously HOT, the secondary characters are awesome, the writing is fantastic and I’m running out of fabulous words to describe this book, and the best part??? There’s a second book!!! I can’t wait to dive into part 2 and everything else this author writes…5X a million stars for this book, read it, you will not be disappointed.

Boys of Fall by K.D. Wood – Review by Debi Kircher

Boys of FallBoys of Fall by K.D. Wood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Boys Of Fall by K.D. Wood is definitely a book for mature readers and is my first book by this author, but will not be my last. This is a story about 2 college students Jerry Mathews, local college football star and Autumn Landry, who had to grow up too fast since her mother left, taking care of her father and her brother. She is a good girl who never stayed out too late and never did the crazy things college kids do. Jerry and Autumn had known each other for years and had a crush on each other since junior high when Autumn let Jerry know that he was taking her to the dance. Through the years as they both dated other people they ended up in the friend zone. When Mr. Landry suffered a minor stroke Jerry was hired on to care for their yard. On one hot steamy day as he was mowing he accidentally catches Autumn pleasuring herself, totally unaware that it was because of him, *insert blistering hot scene here* 🙂

It was the night of the annual bonfire celebrating the big game the next day. Jerry had hoped that Autumn would be attending as he had finally made up his mind that he was going to tell her how he felt and hoped that she felt the same. At the bonfire Jerry had just about given up hope that Autumn was going to show up completely unaware that Autumn was watching him from the shadows. It was at this time Autumn witnesses someone messing with Jerry and knowing she had to do something because this could interfere with his ability to play in the big game tomorrow, Autumn rushes in to save him not realizing that her attempt will bring them out of the friend zone. But can she save him in time and will Jerry get his wish and find out that Autumn feels the same way about him, he wants to be her last, and wants her to be his last. Will his well planned evening turn out as he hopes?
I loved this novella. The writing style of this author is great and flows nicely. I read it in one sitting as it’s only 60 pages. She developed these characters into 2 people you find yourself pulling for throughout the whole story. Not to even mention that this is one HOT and STEAMY ride. I sincerely hope to read more about these two in the future. I will also be looking up any and all of this authors books. No doubt a 5 star read.

Suddenly Us by Marie Skye – Review by Debi Kircher

Suddenly UsSuddenly Us by Marie Skye
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Suddenly Us by Marie Skye
5 stars

This is my first book by this author and I guarantee won’t be my last. There is a lot in this story that I loved but the best part is she hit on one of my favorite characters, the ultimate strong Alpha Male!

Hawkins, ex military suffering from PTSD due to a failed mission that is haunting him every day of his life and every relationship in his life. One failed marriage that just won’t go away and a job in security protecting the girlfriend of a very rich extremely protective man.

Gwen, the best friend of the girlfriend Hawkins is hired to protect. Suffering herself from the lowest self esteem brought on by a 5 year abusive relationship and an equally bad break up, that also will just not go away, not to mention a severely non supportive family.

Gwen and Hawkins first meet and there is an undeniable attraction. Each tries to fight it because neither believes they deserve it or that it could be real. Gwen enters the dating world meeting in person a man she met online, unaware that her best friend asked Hawkins to dine at the same restaurant and keep an eye out. This first date ended as quick as it started as he fell into the same loser category, enter Hawkins who goes into protective mode immediately. Although they both try to fight the attraction what lies ahead for both of them is undeniable. Can they find their way to each other through both their haunted pasts? Can he convince her she deserves to be put first instead of second best. Can she help him through his haunted memories and be able to handle his guilt of a failed mission that he is determined to make right?

There are so many obstacles these two have to deal with in this story. Each one caught me off guard and when you think you know what’s going to happen and you have the story figured out Marie Skye tears that rug right out from underneath you. I absolutely adored the secondary characters in this book, and hope that I can read more about them in the future, as well as these two characters that tore my heart out through every page. I fell in love with both of them. He definitely has been added to my favorite book boyfriends list, and she while battling the lowest self esteem still had the strength to push his buttons at every turn. The story is beyond fantastic, and I especially loved that there were just enough sizzling hot sex scenes to make the storyline front and center. Loved it and it has all ready been added to my to be read again file.

Beachcomber Test: Beachcomber Investigations Book 7 – a Romantic Detective Series

I seriously never want this series to end, I love these people. Dane and Shana have come a long way and although you see hope that there might be a future for these two outside of their “business partnership”, I still see where there could still be so many more obstacles for them and those are the most fun to read about in my opinion. I have stated before in other reviews how much I love Cap and Acer and this book made me want even more stories maybe focussing on them a bit more.

I still think this would make an amazing TV show and can’t quite make up my mind who would play who if that happened, I just know Id watch it over and over just like I plan to come back and read this series over and over. The writing style of this author just gets better and better with each book I read, turning pages so fast because the action just never ends, and there’s never ever a dull moment.

You seriously have to read these books in order to fully appreciate these characters. Ronnie is still a favorite as well and I’m thinking there could be many stories ahead involving him.

This was an amazing addition to this already amazing series and I can not wait for more!!
