This is the continuation of Denise and Chris’s story. The last we saw them Denise had thought he just disappeared after giving him a chance in her life. His position with the FBI takes him on missions where he has to cut off all communication and basically turn into a ghost.
Denise is done with all that, she has enough to deal with being given custody of her cousins and trying to figure out how she is going to not screw them up, since she has a hard time taking care of herself as it is. When Chris returns with his mission to take down the man that as it turns out is the young cousins father who is supposed to be in prison but got out early and has skipped parole. Denise’s life focus has changed and the children have become everything to her, and she will go to any length to protect them. That includes not allowing Chris to use them as bait to catch their father.
Now that he’s back he wants to pick back up with Denise where they left off, but Denise is sick of being an afterthought and isn’t keen on allowing him back in.
This was an amazing story, I love this author and her style of pulling a story together. I loved the twists and turns and the danger factor that was present in this story. Sprocket was still one of my favorite parts as well as the friendship bond between Bree and Denise, I love the snarky one liners and the love and support these two share. This author has risen to being one of my new favorite authors and I will read anything she comes out with.
Loved Loved Loved It!!!

Alexa Series, Volume One by T.R. Cupak
5 Stars, but deserves so many more!
This author has snuck up on me and has me all kinds of messed up. This is my second read by her this week, and the first one about ruined me…this one has taken what was left and shattered me. I can not put my finger on what it is about this author’s writing style but it is unmatched by anyone I’ve ever read, I have favorites, and they will remain favorites, but Miss Cupak holds a new favorite spot in my heart.
This story was amazing…the twists and turns in Alexa’s life had me sitting on the edge of my seat the entire book. Her friendship with Devin was so awesomely written and I loved that it didn’t stay a perfect friendship, it had its ups and downs and time apart. I had mixed feelings about Alexa’s new neighbor Ethan, I just wasn’t sure which way his character was gonna go and the part he was going to play in Alexa’s life. The devastating events that Alexa has to endure in this book were mindblowing, losing her parents in an earthquake had me in tears, and Im having a really hard time writing this review because it’s all still so fresh and I’m so afraid I will give too much away. You have to experience this book the way I did, I did not even read the synopsis, I just knew that after reading her book Jordans Shadow that it didn’t matter what the synopsis said I was reading this. This is broke up into two books, and I keep forgetting that because I don’t even remember where the break between the two were, I just know it flowed so perfectly that it felt like one.
I do know that more characters came into play during the second, Alexas twin best friends Jessa and Becca who were completely awesome became a much bigger part of the second story and then there was Sebastian, a friend? Or business associate of her fathers? Alexa is unsure but a letter left by her father told her to trust this man known as Viper. This brought in a different twist to this story, but this man quickly became one of my favorite parts of this book, as well as Jeremy, who gets brought in to the mix by Sebastian, and his part in Alexa’s life also became one of my favorite things in this book.
I have to stop, Im rambling and going in different directions because I just don’t know what to say…This was one of the most amazing stories I’ve ever read, there’s so much going on but it is all centered around Alexa, Devin, and Ethan. I cried so hard so many times in this book, and the epilogue left me wanting so so much more, I can not wait to see how some of the twists in this book still play out.
LOVED LOVED LOVED it and am now a forever fan of this author..She is amazing!!

5 Amazing Stars

This book is officially one of my favorite books of the year, there’s only a few on this list and this one has just been added. You read in reviews often that a book was just impossible to put down, let me say this…..This book was completely impossible to put down, I read it in just a few hours and am still upset that it is over. This is my first book by this author and I promise will not be my last. Her writing style is the exact reason I love to read so much.

This book was an edge of your seat, heart racing, mind reeling kind of book. Every single word was important and every single page brought something new. Not only that, but I actually felt like an investigator during this story, working right alongside Grant and Roxie trying to solve the mystery of who killed Josh and trying to prove that Grants friend Ben was innocent.

I loved these people, both of them with terrible pasts trying to find a way to get along and solve this mystery while avoiding at every turn their attraction to each other. I just can’t say enough about how much I loved this book, I loved how everything played out, I love how the real Grant came out during the story and he wasn’t at all as he seemed to be, or actually what people thought he was. I loved Roxie’s personality and her snarky attitude, they both fit what my perfect book couple would be.

This author is amazingly brilliant, I’ve read too many books to count in my life and its seldom now that I find one that has me totally forgetting that real life is happening around me, but this one did. Thank you Thank you Thank you Miss Daniels for an amazing story, and I can not wait to read more of your books!

Simply Amazing!!

Miss Suen has found a way on to my favorite author list. I think what I love most about her is that you never know what your going to get when you read her books. She is definitely not predictable and that’s just one of my favorite things about her.

I was able to feel every single feeling that Connor was feeling in this book. I lost my Mom just a few years ago and it changed my life. This story was as real as it gets, there was no added drama and major twists and turns, I did kind of feel like I knew what was going to happen but it was more like it was what I was hoping would happen, and I’ve let my imagination take over the rest.

This author is a definite one click, her words flow so perfectly and her storylines are out of this world, and I can not wait to see what she comes up with next. I loved loved loved this book.

Oh my goodness, I loved this story so so so much. I did mess up though and read this before I read Stitched Up Heart, the first in the series. Although saying that I can say that yes, I need to read the first before I read the next one, but I was never lost in this story. This is the start to Denise and Chris’s story and at the beginning I did feel like I was missing something because it felt like it started in the middle of a story, well DUH, it did LOL.

I loved everything about this book, it read so easily, the words flowing perfectly and I just about threw my kindle when it ended. The storyline was amazing and the character build was spot on, and happened at the right time throughout. I loved the friendship interaction between Denise and Bree, and also the bond Denise has with Sprocket…There is just not one thing I didn’t love about this book!!!

The sneak peek at the end had me again almost throwing my kindle because I wanted it to go on and go ahead and give me the whole book.

This is my first by Tarina Deaton, and will absolutely positively not be my last! I have to end this now because Book 1 is calling my name and I can’t wait to finish that so I can move on to Book 2.

Many thanks to Miss Deaton for a beautifully written story, and a new series that I can already say I will be rereading in the future. I recommend this book highly, but don’t do as I did, Grab the first in the series and start there, I haven’t even read it yet and know that I’m going to love it!!!

Love On a Limb: A Love Story For All Seasons by Laurie Lewis

5 Stars…it deserves so many more!

With tears in my eyes as I just finished reading this amazing work of art I couldnt wait one second to jump in here and review this book!

I have read so many books this year, and in my life. Ive many times read and been touched by a book and claimed that it was my favorite for that year or whatever. I can honestly, straight from the heart say that NO BOOK has ever touched me the way this book has. Books often grip me and take my emotions on a ride but this one, this one will hold on forever. Im praying I’ll someday find that she has a paperback of this book because I need this in my life and on my shelf.

This is not the first book I’ve read by this author, I’ve loved her way of words, her way of grabbing a hold and hanging on, these people she writes about are so so real. If there is an even remote possibility that there is a negative to mention about this story, it’s only that it ended and I could have read about these two amazing people for days. Matt is the ultimate Book Boyfriend and I will compare every male lead to him from this point on. Mikaela follows suit with being the ultimate heroine.Watching these two progress from where they started to where they ended up was written so beautifully and has tore my heart right out of my chest. I don’t know what to say except that this was a brilliantly awesome amazing piece of writing. Every single emotion that should have been felt while reading this I promise was felt and I could not hold back the tears during some of the scenes. This strengthened my belief in hope, promises, miracles, and prayers as well as things definitely not turning out like you thought they would.

Many Many Thanks to Miss Lewis for a story that rises above and sets the bar high for all the stories I will still read in my future, some Ill love, some I won’t, but this one will always stand up as one of the greatest. I already can’t wait to reread it!!

This is not my first book by this author, and again will not be my last. I love her writing style and how the words of whatever story she writes just flow so easily. She’s so creative and I love not knowing what I’m going to get whenever I open one of her books.

This was an extremely quick and fun read. Each story took a few pages to tell but were so full of emotion that my thoughts and imagination made the stories so much longer. The first one definitely made me smile, the second one made me sad, then hopeful, and the third one was probably my favorite and made me feel content and the bonus story at the end made me laugh out loud, once I realized what I was reading I had to read it again to fully appreciate it.

Great book, I loved it!

Holy Moly what a book!! I can honestly say I have never read a book that even compares to this one, but that doesn’t surprise me because as I’ve said in previous reviews for her other books (which were blow me away awesome) this author has the most creative mind and she absolutely shatters me every time I read one of her stories.

I’m not even going to try to sum this book up, I wouldn’t know where to start unless I just copy and paste her synopsis. I will say this though…The characters of Damian, Jenn, Ashley, Nick and Leo were written perfectly as well as the others but those five were just plain awesome. This hit on every one of my emotions, there were parts of the story I was scared, angry, like throw my kindle kind of angry, heartbroken, excited, happy, and sometimes confused, and the transition from one emotion to the next wasn’t always easy. I literally read this book in one sitting because there was no way I could put it down, the twists were placed perfectly, and the writing style was perfect. It moved along quickly with no “fluff” thrown in along the way.

I love this author, she is an absolute genius. You just never know what her next book is going to bring and I think that’s simply brilliant.

Ill admit that although Im so excited about what she thinks of next, I’m also a little scared to see what she thinks of next. LOL

LOVED IT!!!

WOW, I do not think I’ve ever been so sad seeing the words The End in a book as I was when I saw them in this story.. This is my fourth or fifth book by this author and it left me wanting so so much more. I could have read 1000 pages about Rose. She is officially my new favorite book heroine EVER!!

The way this story was written was so so real, I felt like I knew these characters and while reading it I felt deep inside everything she was feeling, I’ve myself thought of my later years still to come and this story did nothing but give me hope. I swear I smiled throughout the entire story and laughed out loud a few times as well;

….Are you sure you can’t stay for some gassypatch soup? Your so funny, Mum. No, I can’t stay for gazpacho soup, but thanks for asking.

Then comes Bill on his scooter…I loved loved loved him!!!

I just can’t say enough about this story, or this author. She is an absolute favorite and an immediate one click. Everyone should read this book, it was written so beautifully and I’m still completely upset that it’s over.

Thank you Thank you Miss Abbott for a brilliantly written story that just plain made me feel good.

5 Awesomely Amazing Heartbreaking Stars

I am an avid reader and have read since I was very young, I’m not so young anymore and can confidently say I’ve read more books in my lifetime than most normal readers that read for pleasure. I without even a second thought can say that there is not another book I’ve read that has touched me the way this book has. This author has taken a heartbreaking story and filled it with so much courage and hope making me feel so many emotions while reading it that I’ve had to take a few hours to sit and get my thoughts together before being able to even think of writing this review.

I am in complete awe of this author. The strength and courage it had to have taken to write this and while writing having to relive it all is far beyond my thought process. What is also beyond what I can imagine is that this is real, and is happening right now all over the world, this author proves that it can be happening right next door to us and we have no clue.

She is a brave survivor. Ive wanted to meet many authors in person but never as much as I’d love to meet this one if only to lay my eyes on such strength and beauty. I absolutely loved how this book was written, the words formed her emotions even when those emotions were hard to feel.

I truly just don’t know what else to say, reviewing this book feels wrong because this wasn’t just a book, this was a life put into words brilliantly!! I will recommend to every person I know that they read this story!!

Have followed this author and will one click anything and everything.

This author….Oh my goodness!! I could grab a dictionary and look up every complimentary word out there and it would not be enough to explain in words how amazingly awesome I think this author is. I loved this series, and if possible I loved this book even more than the first 3, that’s hard to say because I really loved those as well. She grabs you at page 1 and doesn’t let go even after finishing the last word. She weaves words and comes up with all these little twists and turns throughout the whole book. There’s not just one big twist towards the end, it happens all the way through. This book had a lot of flashbacks to different times, every one of these were needed. I bring this up because I normally don’t like flashbacks, but the way this one read was brilliant. It was like watching a movie, and speaking of that, this series would make an awesome collection of movies, but I found myself reading a chapter and seriously looking forward to the next flashback..It was awesome!!

I loved Manny, this whole book was from his POV and while I love different POV’s through a book, this one worked perfectly. A major loss when he was younger changed the course of his life in ways that were not ideal. The decisions he made from that point on were a direct result of this loss, as well as the love he had in his heart for a girl, a love he was not even completely aware of. Their story is unique and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. The parts played by so many in this story kept me on my toes, because I never knew from one page to the next what would happen or who would be behind it. I’m not going to say anymore, I’m so afraid I’ll ruin this book for anyone that wants to read it, and trust me this book deserves to be read, but do yourself a favor and read them in order…There is one character in this book that I had a huge dislike for, until she showed up in Manny’s story…She may actually be one of my favorites now!!

I just don’t know if I can wait till January for the first book in the spinoff series, this will be brutal, so I’ll wait till December and read these again and stalk this author so I can grab Ruin the second it comes out.

Many many thanks and much Love to this author for such amazing talent and giving me a new favorite series to reread whenever I choose.

Loved Loved Loved!!!

This is my first book by this author and will not be my last. This story was written very well and had somewhat of a smooth flow. I guess if I had any issue with the writing it would only be that there was quite a few paragraphs that were completely descriptive of the surroundings or thoughts that interrupted a conversation. I personally don’t need all that in a book, but I know a lot of people like to get the feel of the surroundings while reading. Although it was written very well, I found myself skipping over those paragraphs. This is just personal preference and takes nothing away from the beautiful writing style of this author.

I loved the characters. I felt Cap and Leah were both described in a way that didn’t leave you wondering who they were. Cap lives a lifestyle that I have no understanding of and although I loved him for the man he was, I didn’t like the lifestyle choice, again just personal preference. Leah I could understand a lot more as I wasn’t raised the same way, but my beliefs are pretty much the same. I could definitely understand the battles she had going on inside herself. I knew what I wanted to happen at the end of this book early on and although it didn’t happen exactly the way I wanted it to, it was enough to make me want to read the next in the series.

I really can’t wait to check out the rest of her books, this book dealt with something I don’t understand or agree with, but to me it says a lot about an author’s talent that these few things I wasn’t crazy about still has me adding her to my authors to follow list.

I love this author so much, I became an instant fan after reading The Flip, but this book? I love the cover, I love the story, I love the writing, I adore the characters, and I’m so sad that it ended.

This is a story of how the bonds of true friendship between three women can withstand many years and many miles apart. When one is faced with a devastating loss, the other two don’t even think twice about putting their lives on hold, jumping on a plane and going home. The support they offered was spot on, the way this author handled giving us the whole story of this friendship, the whole story of the betrayal that caused two of them to not speak for years, yet come back together for their friend was brilliant. I understand this was slightly based on a true story, but I also understand that she turned this true story into an unforgettable book of love, friendship, family, self discovery, and forgiveness, and I will be rereading this so many times, I already miss it, and I can’t wait to tell everyone I know to go one click this amazingly awesome book! The way she took us into each of their lives and their thoughts with the different POV’s, and the family aspect that each one dealt with…Complete Perfection in my opinion.

I cried a lot while reading, I also laughed a few times. I finished this book last night and normally I go write my reviews right after I finish, but this one I couldn’t, my mind was so totally in this book that I had to take time to organize my thoughts, and to be honest it took me back many years in my own lifes story. There are not enough words to describe how much this book meant to me. I love my romance books, but this one was one was a refreshing change that will stay with me for a very long time! No doubt the best book I’ve read this year!!

Thank you K.L. Montgomery!

Ok so Wow is all I can think of…I started this book then poof I was done, which I guess tells a lot about the style and flow of this short story. For such a short book there was a whole lot of content and I was not ready to be done when it ended. This author created some amazing characters and they had my heart racing all the way through to the end.

Everyone needs a Calix, oh my, and seeing him so heartbroken at the beginning was so sad and I fell in love with his determination to bring back his mate. Then Vivienne comes into the picture claiming to be someone she isn’t and determined to follow through with her plan yet isn’t prepared for the way she reacts when she meets Calix. This woman that is his mates complete opposite has Calix’s determination wavering and he is then faced with a decision that will affect everything and everybody in his life.

I want more and I hope there is more to this story. The way this book ended makes me think there actually could be more to come. I absolutely loved reading this, and if you even somewhat like paranormal stories that involve vampires you will too. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

The prequel to this series was set up perfectly. With all the action and suspense and a lot of twists and turns and bad guys, two people get thrown together and become unlikely partners on the shores of Martha’s Vineyard. Shana, who has a huge chip on her shoulder to prove who she is and what she’s capable of and Dane, who’s fighting a past full of danger, loss, and sadness, and a reputation of being a legend, and just wants a vacation on his beloved island. The two work together along side others to take down the people behind the kidnapping of a rich young heiress and suspicious activity surrounding the American Invitational Surfing Competition.
The back and forth interaction between Dane and Shana was hilarious, and I could almost feel the tension as their attraction was undeniable. The ending was the perfect set up for what is to come in the series, and left me wanting more of these two and which direction they will go with their attraction.

As this story progresses past the prequel, it just gets better and better, with their Investigations firm set up these two partners in business and enemies in all things relationship wise set out to keep their business afloat, while teasing and pushing each other away the whole time, yet the tension is so high you can actually feel it. The secondary characters in this book are so amazing and stay front and center throughout and make this series perfect. I love Cap and Acer and hope Acer comes back in future books, but I think my favorite is Ronnie, the stringer lol I see future stories for these characters woven into the continuing story of the dysfunctional Dane and Shana.

I was thrilled to do a search and find that there is so much more for Beachcombers Investigations and can’t wait to read all of them…I would love to see this as a series on tv, I think it would be big hit. I don’t know what the future is going to hold for these characters but I can not wait to find out. I love this author’s writing style and the flow of the book has you turning pages so fast to see what happens next, there is never a lull in the stories, always something going on and I Loved Loved Loved It!!!!

She did it again…She wiped me out when I read Amelia’s Children and in this one she completely shattered me. I’ve decided that if I was asked which author Id most like to meet it would be Greta Cribbs…I would love to shake the hand of the author that has one of the most creative writing styles I’ve ever experienced. How she comes up with this stuff baffles me. The old saying “you can’t make this stuff up”? Well I’m thinking she had to have made it up because believing in what happened in this story would put me over the edge, kind of in a good way because I love time travel stories.

These four siblings were brought to life in this story. I felt like they were real people, the way they interacted and went off on tangents in their conversations that shouldn’t have made any sense in their predicament, yet did! There was so much content fit into what I consider a short novel and what I loved most was, I never felt lost. She had a way in her writing that kept me from never having to go back and reread anything. I also loved how I couldn’t put it down, I carried my kindle while walking so I could keep reading. I loved how I felt every emotion I think she intended me to feel. I laughed, I cried (oh did I cry), i scratched my head while trying to figure out what was gonna happen next, and i found myself asking the same questions they were..What would I do?

To go off subject, or as I described the tangents above I have to say that her description “a giant accordion playing its workday song along I-75”, was brilliant.

I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!!

I am absolutely in love with this book. The interaction between Andrew and Sonnet (competitive adversaries since childhood) and what they thought of each other cracked me up. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to go back and read the first of this series, as well as her other books.

I loved the way the story unfolded while giving us tidbits of the past and how these two arch enemies became the way they were. The flow of this story was perfect and I loved the change of perspectives throughout.

Aunt Penny and Serenity were my favorite characters in this book, well of course next to Sonnet and Andrew. The author was really creative with the hilarious obstacles that kept popping up while they were redoing the house left to them, from millipedes to rusty nails, sinkholes and then oh my goodness an alligator in Delaware. I laughed out loud so many times. This book just plain made me feel good, I Loved It!!!!

Ok my first book by this author and my mind is blown. This is about three women, each with a different issue in life. This is also about one man, “Dr.” Kite, who set out on a mission to help these three women with their life issues by offering them an answer using an implant that can control their minds.

A very quick read which definitely left me wanting much much more. I could have read the stories of these three women and Dr. Kite for many more pages. Although short, the author fit in enough backstory for each character that I was able to understand and fall in love with each one. It brought up questions in my own mind, if I could pick the one issue in life I struggle with would I take the same risks these three women took? Especially knowing that when something seems too good to be true, it could be just that..too good to be true….

I actually loved this book, her writing had me wrapped from page one, and I’m now very curious about her other books and will be checking those out as well. This will definitely leave you thinking and wanting more.

Holy Moly what a book! I started it and could not put it down. This author has spun a tale here that will have you guessing on every page. This is my first book by this author but will not be my last, this story flowed perfectly, and I fell in love with the characters.
In a small town in Georgia, Amelia was murdered, the case is still unsolved 30 years later. There are rumors and speculation but no concrete answers.

Sarah has returned from California after failing to make it as an actress, she is now working in her parent’s restaurant as a waitress, not something she wants to do. She doesn’t even want to be back home, but found she had no other choice.

David comes to town wanting to meet with Sarah’s father in the restaurant. He is a stranger and no one seems to know why he is in town. This has Sarah on a mission to find out just what he is up to, not only that but she feels drawn to him for some reason. When she guesses why he is there and that it has something to do with the unsolved murder case from 30 years ago, she sets out to find the truth, with the help of her brother. The truth though may be hard to handle and Sarah finds out a lot more than what she bargained for.

As Sarah and David grow closer, can they find the answers in time, or will the darkness take everyone they love from them, even possibly themselves?

Great book, I highly recommend it!

Oh my gosh, this series has me a hot mess, it wasn’t enough that Brandy was suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s now postpartum depression has consumed her. She loves her family with her whole heart, and feels she must do what is best for them. Ivo does all he can to help his wife and keep his family strong, but is it enough?

The first two books have taken us on a journey with Ivo’s children, as they try to understand Ivo and Brandy’s past, and how their Mom plays into it. This is a story about love, a love so strong it can fight against the most awful of diseases. This is also a story about strength, the strength and courage of a woman dealing with so much yet willing to put her family first trying to ensure their future is without pain.

I have honestly never read a series that has touched me the way this one has, this will stay with me forever. Alzheimer’s has touched and affected my own family and I could physically feel the pain and love that Ivo dealt with on a daily basis. This author is amazingly brilliant, and handled this whole series beautifully. This didn’t feel like a book series to me, this was real life, and so many deal with this every day. I will hold this story close to my heart and I will reread this often. I am already looking forward to the spin off Novel and will be watching for any and everything by this author in the future.

This is not a standalone novel…you really have to read this series in order, you will be completely lost if you don’t.

I just love this series, I love the characters so much and love that they are all in each book. This is the story of Brenda and Magnum and I couldn’t wait to read it after falling in love with Brenda in the previous book. These can be read as standalones, but you would be missing out on some great history if you don’t read them all in order.

Magnum and Brenda both have pasts that haunt them. They each have their own reasons for not getting involved with any kind of serious relationships. They have a connection through mutual friends and even went out a couple times which resulted in him not returning any calls and then nothing. They were each attracted to each other and if it hadn’t been for their pasts they probably would have pursued it further. When a family emergency brings Magnum to town and he runs into Brenda, his want for her returns but all he does is push it away. But when she receives a message from her tragic past he can’t help himself, he will protect her or die trying. Now if he could just get her to open up and let him in, but can he do the same? She knows he has serious demons and wants desperately to help him, but how can she when she’s battling her own? As the anniversary of her tragic past approaches, can Magnum get to the truth and save her in time? Can these two broken people get past their fears and tragic pasts and find their HEA?

This author has a way with molding her words around the best stories. She knows how to manipulate you into thinking you know what’s coming and I can just imagine her sitting there at her computer with an evil laugh as she knows she’s messing with your mind, and then there you are begging for more LOL She is a favorite of mine now and I will be stalking her waiting for word on what she has in store for me next.

Favor is from a famous football family. Her father is many young football players Hero. Her brother was a starting quarterback being molded to follow in his father’s footsteps. Favor has always felt like an outsider in her own family and when her brother was killed in a horrible car accident it shattered her because he was the only one that understood her. Attending college under her mother’s maiden name so that she wouldn’t be recognized for who she was she stayed away from anything football. Football ruins lives. She didn’t date football players and stayed away from the field. She had amazing friends but is just so sick of anything to do with football and still feels so empty without her brother. Then along comes Brice.

Brice is the starting quarterback for the Cougars, the college’s football team. He has always watched Favor from afar, he tried to ask her out once but she turned him down flat with “I don’t date football players” so he could only dream of her, but when his chance comes at a bonfire for the team he does all he can to win her over.

Favor can’t stop thinking about him, but she can’t give in can she? He is everything she has ever wanted, but stands for everything she hates. As Brice works his way into her life there are many obstacles that keep getting thrown at them. Secrets are kept and when they surface they could be a deal breaker. Can these two find a way over everything thrown at them and find trust and love?

This story is amazing and deals with so many things from family issues to how to forgive and trust. I loved the friendships and the twists and turns in this story. I have found myself reading a lot of this author’s work and I am never disappointed. Each of her stories really make you think and I just love all of her characters. Another great story, and another favorite!

I just love MC books, but this one will definitely go up with my favorites. I loved the story flow and the twists and turns. This author made me fall in love with everyone in this book and I can’t wait for this story to continue.

Alison is a crime reporter at the Baton Rouge Times and has worked her butt off for 5 years to build a strong reputation, but it’s just the start. She has a yearning to be a columnist and is working to fill the empty position within the paper. Problem is so is someone else, who hasn’t even been there for a year, but has been sleeping with the boss for the last 6 months. He offers a challenge to the two and whoever writes the best story after signing up for an online dating service and going on three dates will be awarded the position. She goes on these 3 less than perfect dates and writes her article with her honest feelings, knowing down deep it won’t be enough to get her the columnist position. Alison has 2 amazing best friends and a supportive family, no man in her life as she has decided not to date after her last relationship shattered her hopes and dreams.

Storm is VP of the Bayou Devils MC. He is haunted by his past every single day of his life, this past keeps him from ever getting close to another woman, the pain is too deep and it drags him down and keeps him in darkness, all of this he feels he deserves.

Storm’s Labrador puppy leads him to the front steps of his neighbor, Alison, causing a slight accident that leads to Storm administering first aid. She has sparked something in him that he hasn’t felt for years and he isn’t sure how to handle it. Problem is his past is coming back and means to cause harm. He is convinced that everything in his past will tear them apart and put her in danger. Can he walk away and save her, or will he allow his own selfishness to put her right in the middle of his past?

This had me hooked from page 1, it’s not one of those books where you figure it out early and just wait for it to play out, no, this one just kept building and I was totally off at what I thought was going on. This was written perfectly and I can’t say enough about how much I loved this book. I want more!!!! LOL

This is the second book in Hugo’s story, I absolutely loved the first and feel the exact same about this one. This story takes place five years after the first book and in that five years Hugo has been presumed dead by everyone that loves him and those that are out to kill him. Losing his sister and her unborn baby 5 years ago took all rational thoughts and actions out of the picture for Hugo. Walking away from Ava, the love of his life is another pain he will never stop feeling.

Many things have changed for Ava since Hugo’s disappearance and the loss of her best friend and her unborn baby. She’s never gotten over it and it almost ruined her. She had to stay strong though and has ended up in a less than ideal situation.

When Hugo decides that he is done hiding and running and learns that he isn’t the only one with secrets can he prove to those he loves that he won’t run again? What happens when an unexpected kiss could interfere with every part of his future?

I couldn’t wait to read this story, and now have the rest of the Enigma series yet to read. This author has won me over and I absolutely love her style, and her character building. I can already tell I’ll have these books in my to be read again file. Loved it!!!

He loved old cars and had dreams someday of owning one that he could actually race, when one day a beautiful blonde made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

He tries with everything he has to bring her back…..with a stairway only he can see yet not climb can he bring her back, can they find a way to be together again?

I really liked this book as far as the writing and the way it flowed. It definitely didn’t end the way I thought it would or hoped it would but the ending was satisfying for me. The whole story definitely tugged at the heart strings and felt so real as far as the feelings portrayed. This is my first read by this author and I will be checking out what else she has.

He wakes up realizing he is laying on dirt. Where is he? Why is he here? Who is he? As memories flood his mind he thinks he remembers better times, but everything is hazy. He tries to leave the small shed he wakes up in and realizes he is trapped by something too tight around his neck, as he cries out he is all of a sudden hit by something, many times, it’s raining, he is soaked and wet and in pain. He hears a name, Ralph, yes this must be his name. What is going on, he hears voices but it seems they can’t hear him, what crime has he committed that has him deserving to be a prisoner like this. Hungry and in pain, it’s getting worse and his flashbacks have him wondering if they are just dreams. If he had a family wouldn’t they be saving him or looking for him?

This is a heart wrenching story, making me feel all kinds of emotions during it and at the end. Written in a way that will stay with me forever when I come across certain situations especially. This is my first book by this author and it has definitely left me wondering about her other work. This was written very well and I can’t wait to check out everything else she has written.

Oh my goodness, this book..this series!! What an amazing story so far. I’m trying to find words to write this review to give this story the amazing justice it deserves. I’ll start with you must read the first book in this series first or you won’t completely appreciate what is happening in this story.

Brandy Curtis is being pulled down little by little by Alzheimer’s disease, slowly taking everything and everybody she knows and loves from her. In a moment of clarity she makes a decision to submit to an experiment that might just cure her. She doesn’t want to keep putting her husband Ivo through having to watch her suffer from this awful disease, she wants to be happy and build a future for them and have his children and she knows she can’t do this the way she is going. With her brother’s help she is whisked away to the UK without Ivo’s knowledge to begin the process.

Ivo Ferrero is watching his wife disappear right before his eyes, every day it’s getting a little worse, he loves her with every ounce of his being and will stand by her no matter what. When he realizes that she is missing and finds out what she has done and where she has gone and why he is devastated but finds a journal entry from her moment of clarity and realizes she is doing it all for him and their life together.

As Ivo arrives in the UK he finds the experiment has already begun and the tests are showing progress but all they can do is wait for her to wake up. As she does Ivo has realized his worst fears..she has no memory of him at all. 11 years of her memory have been erased and Brandy must now try to figure out who she is and deal with dreams of this man that she can’t remember but knows she feels safe when he is near.

This story is heart wrenching yet hopeful, I held my breath through a lot of this book. It takes the test of love to a whole new level. You almost forget while reading these books that there is another story at play here and watching that play out is messing with my head. I don’t think I have ever needed the last book of a series like I do this one. Thankfully my wait is not too long. This story will stay with me forever, this author has done an amazing job and I will be reading anything she has to offer from this point forward. Read these books, seriously you won’t be sorry.

Danika Eriksson, an investigative reporter for the Times can’t get a hold of her baby sister, when she finds out she is stripping at The Hawkeye Club she is beyond angry and goes on a rescue mission, she is convinced that somehow her sister was coerced into dropping out of college and taking to the pole for money. Danika is a tough as nails, take no prisoners kind of woman, she has no filter when it comes to running her mouth. She gets all she needs from men with one night stands and doesn’t want anything do with relationships. She’s currently working on trying to take down the head of the biggest crime syndicate in New Orleans who she has found ties in somehow with the Mayor.

Savage Hawke, owner of The Hawkeye Club, a high class gentlemen’s club, with very strict rules, he works hard to protect his reputation as well as his girls. He lost his dad when he was young and stepped in as sort of a father figure to his 3 sisters and younger brother as well as be as supportive as he could to his Mom.

Danika storms straight into Savage’s office at the club ready to do battle to rescue her baby sister from this man’s clutches, as soon as she sees him she is taken aback by the way her body is responding to him, but she stays strong and tears into him anyway. He is immediately captivated by her, her fiery attitude and no filter take him by surprise and he wants her. He knows he shouldn’t pursue her, when she learns of all the secrets from his past she will run away as fast as she can, but he can’t help himself….

When Danika can’t get this man out of her mind and receives a dinner invitation she wants to decline, but she can’t and their time together leaves her needing so much more. When some of his secrets are revealed her need to run is almost too much to ignore and she does just that, but she finds out quickly that what she wants and what she needs are two completely different things. Will his secrets drive her away forever or make him drive her away all on his own? Can he give her what she needs to satisfy her wants and desires? What happens when the assignment she is working on goes south really fast and to her surprise he may be the only one that can save her, but this could also be what drives her further away.

I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to dive into the next. When the book first started I wasn’t sure if I’d like Danika, I thought at first I’d have trouble with her coldness and views on men/sex and her no filter but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised that not far into the story it actually worked and I loved her very quickly and I can’t even find words for how much I fell in love with Savage. This is my first book by this author but will in no way be my last. I loved how the story flowed and there was no fluff added in to just fill pages, every word was perfect. I loved it!!!!!
