My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) by Necie Navone – Review by Erica Fish

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2)My One Love by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Necie Navone has done it again. My One Love is the second book in the Brothers of Camelot series. She does an amazing job of creating realistic characters that you want in your life. From the first page to the last page, I was in the author’s hands. The ride was wild with twists and turns that keeps your blood pumping through your veins until the last page and beyond. The story was simple, two strong personalities fall for one another. They are looking for one another but will they come together or will their personalities keep them apart? Will their past keep them from a future together?

Proper Ink (Jaded Lily #2)Proper Ink by Zeia Jameson

Proper Ink is the second book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. This can be a stand alone story but reading the first book will enhance the story that much more. Zeia Jameson has a flowing descriptive story telling ability. This keeps the story interesting, and would keep the pages to turn to the next part of the story. Blackbird's Deliverance (Book Four)Blackbird’s Deliverance by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blackbird’s Deliverance is the fourth book in the Silent Secrets Series by Lisette Kristensen, Her stories are always a good read. She hooks the readers at the very beginning. It is that hook that makes you want to finish the book. I love reading her stories because she likes to have women characters being the heros. She builds the characters story up from the beginning and with every story, Blackbird gets stronger and more of a bad mama jammer. One thing was for sure at some point and time, Blackbird’s past life would catch up with her present life. Will Blackbird handle the internal struggles or will it break her to pieces? The Girls Across the Bay by Emerald O’Brien is a great opening for the The Knox and Sheppard Mysteries series. Scarlet Fever: A Crime ThrillerScarlet Fever: A Crime Thriller by David Stever
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scarlet Fever by David Stever is the first book in the Johnny Delarosa Thriller series. David Stever writing style in this book reminded me of an old time thriller where you know what is going to happen but you still can’t believe it happened. His characters are fully developed and has a clout around their personality that he created. The story is a simple story of missing money, mafia, and a detective. Claire wants Johnny to find her the money from her mob-wife mother that was stolen. Will Johnny take the case? Will Claire get what is coming to her nor will everything go wrong? The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano – Review by Erica Fish

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale SeriesThe Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. Ashley Pagano has a way of grabbing my attention and pulls me into her world in which she has created. Once I started the story there was no way that I was stopping. So make sure you have enough time to complete the entire story. The characters are amazing because she does not deal with only vampires or werewolves. There is the full cast of supernatural cast Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Shape Shifters, and Faeries. There is white magic and dark magic and who will manipulate the four elements. Then there is the Soppranaturale Hotel which is not your typical hotel, it holds different supernatural beings that try to keep the magical world hidden from the rest of the world. This world is the best of most book worlds in the supernatural worlds. I can only hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. Happy Reading.

Moves by John Michaels – Review by Erica Fish

MovesMoves by John Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Moves by John Michaels is my first book by this author. The summary is what intrigued me the most. The plot line is engaging as it keeps you on the edge of your seat at times. The characters are fully developed and personable. Michaels understands the single parent angle and what I enjoyed about this story is the relationship between Robert and his daughter. Little girls need their dads in the picture and that is what really sold me on the story. Robert has some demons in his closet from the tour in Iraq but nothing like being home and have your wife murdered. Robert has his young daughter to look after and if that is not enough, he will have to be strong for her. Will Robert prevail? Will Robert figure what is going on in time?

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Erica Fish

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wayward by Via Mari is an excellent start to the series Billionaire Bodyguards. It is a story of romance with a little mafia/bodyguard mixed in the story. I have read other books by Via Mari and I have enjoyed those stories, so I thought I would pick this one up. I am glad I did. Her writing style is very descriptive and the characters will become part of you as you read through the story. This story is about Sasha, a Russian Ballerina who is in the US on an extended visa. She is well known for her dancing abilities, but she has secrets she does not want the public to know. Then there is Jay, who just happens to security detail for two wealthy men in the US. Behind Blue Eyes (Stockholm Murders Book 1) by CS Duffy – Review by Erica Fish

Behind Blue Eyes (Stockholm Murders Book 1)Behind Blue Eyes by C.S. Duffy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

There is nothing like reading a book and while you are reading all of the hair on your neck is standing on end the entire time. C.S. Duffy’s Behind Blue Eyes is just that, a supreme psychological thriller. The story had me turning the pages so fast because I could not wait to see what was coming next. I went on so many twists and turns that I needed to anchor myself because I did not want to miss what was coming up on the next twist. The story is about Ellie who left London to follow the man of her dreams. She gets involved in a murder investigation by accident and cannot speak the language in Sweden. She uses caution as she is not sure who to trust. What appears one way may only be on the surface and not apart of the meat of the situation . Will Ellie figure out what is going on? Will the man of her dreams has a different side to him? Hang on to your seats as you read Behind Blue Eyes.

Mielitta and the bees become one and that is when the story took off. The journey that Mielitta takes is one that she needs to make. What will Mielitta’s journey do for her? The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin – Review by Erica Fish

The Good NeighborsThe Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin was a story that I have not read in a long time. It was such an awesome read that kept me looking over my shoulders the entire time. The story is a simple family moves into their dream house and that is where it went wrong. Personally, when you find the house you can see yourself living in until you are old and grey you are excited and cannot wait until you move in. That is until you meet the neighbors. You know the little hairs on the back of your neck, which is a sign of danger proceed with caution. That is how I felt after Bryant and Harper met Jason and Tori. Something told me to scream leave when you can. This is a major roller coaster ride for a story and the ending will blow you away. I would devote time that you will not be disturbed while reading this book, trust me you will thank me when you are done with this book.

RETURN (Rewind Book 2) by Rowan Shaw – Review by Erica Fish

Return (Rewind #2)Return by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Return by Rowan Shaw is the second book in the series but can be a stand alone book as well. Rowan Shaw paints the perfect picture with her words. That makes reading her books a lot easier. There was a warning in the synopsis that I passed on in the description of my review. The story of Rapheal and Adrien can be uncomfortable for some readers. The story has some strong emotions that could spark the readers emotions. Personally, I can empathize with anyone (real or fictious) so this story, even though I loved it, took me on some big emotional moments. Rapheal is a college student looking for a place to live (on the cheap side) and he found Adrien. Both had strong emotions for one another but neither one really knew what was in store. Will Adrien and Raphael give in to their emotions or will turn away from each other?

Obsessed (Lila Casey Series Book 1) by J Collins – Review by Erica Fish

Obsessed: Lila Casey Book 1 (Lila Casey Series)Obsessed: Lila Casey Book 1 by J. Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Obsessed by J Collins is my first book by this author. She kept my interest throughout her story. This is a paranormal vampire story. J Collins has a new way of spinning her story about her vampires. It is a fun read when you do not see the same topic of vampires over and over. J Collins amazingly spins a great tale in a vampire world. Her character Lila has found vampire fiction interesting. She was able to get a way within her book covers until Adam, a real vampire meets up with her. Adam takes Lila into the world of vampires where everything starts to become real. Will Adam be able to protect Lila or will a dark vampire take her away?

Murder Creek by Jane Suen – Review by Erica Fish

Murder CreekMurder Creek by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you are a mystery lover, that you have to read Murder Creek by Jane Suen. Jane Suen is an author that I have been following with all your books. I love a good mystery book. One reason I really like Jane Suen is that she takes me on an adventure every time I open her book. She has a way with words. She is a great storyteller. In this story, Eve has found an “cold” case of a murder. She is investigating it for her journalism class she is taking. There are questions being asked that people are uncomfortable. This murder happened a long time ago and the killer wants it to remain unsolved. Will Eve be able to solve this cold case? Will Eve get herself in trouble that she cannot get out of? You will have to read this story to find out the answers to this story and more.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Erica Fish

Girl TrapGirl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Girl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton is the third book by Madeline Dawkins. I recommend reading this series in order to get the full back story with Madeline and Mike. I have been in pulled into this world and feel like Madeline and Mike are my friends and I will do anything for them. Madeline really finds herself in a bind. She found herself into two different cases, one is sex trafficking and the other a missing person. There are some wild twists and turns that keep you on your toes. Cynthia Hamilton does an amazing job with painting the picture with her descriptive writing skills. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for Madeline in the future.

REWIND by Rowan Shaw – Review by Erica Fish

Rewind (Rewind #1)Rewind by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rewind by Rowan Shaw is a contemporary bisexual romance story. This is my first book by Rowan Shaw and I enjoyed the whole book. I did read it all in one sitting. The characters, Enzo and Florian became part of my book family. Enzo had so much taken away from him. He was lied to, cheated on, and an accident that took his hearing away. My heart hurt for him. When he saw Florian the friendship came back. There are some things that needs to be mended and hopefully Enzo and Florian can move on to allow one another love again. Will there be a second chance in Enzo and Florian life?

A High Price to Pay (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 2) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Erica Fish

A High Price to Pay (Madeline Dawkins, #2)A High Price to Pay by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A High Price to Pay is the second book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. I highly suggest that you read book 1, Spouse Trap. There are some sequences in A High Price to Pay makes more sense and gives it a deeper meaning and understanding in the book. I really love Madeline in this book. It is like Ms. Hamilton took time to give the details of Madeline that were not shared in the first book. Madeline and Mike are back to investigate missing property which turns into a murder investigation. I went on the adventure with Madeline and Mike. The characters are so real that I could see myself being their friend. With this story there were moments that there was an abundance of detail. It makes reading at parts a bit too much. Do not let that stop you from reading this exciting book.

Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Erica Fish

Devil's Due: Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #3Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #3 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Due is the third book in the Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett. I have read the first two books but I have to admit that this one is my favorite (well so far). There are so many twists and turns like a wild roller coaster ride. The characters make this story with their interactions with one another. There could be spoilers and because I do not want to have any of that nonsense I am going to be vague. Within a bikers mentally it is a brotherhood that has loyalty and brave to the bitter end. They are willing to do anything for each other. When one is in trouble they all are in trouble. I love these stories and I cannot wait to see what Manda Mellett does next.

Enemies of the Desert (Silent Secrets Series Book 3) by Lisette Kristensen – Review by Erica Fish

Enemies of the DesertEnemies of the Desert by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I do not know what to say but OMG is one thing that comes to mind. One thing I am learning is that there are more authors out there beside the big names. There are diamonds in the rough and I would encourage you to read the Silent Secrets series in order of books because you will fall in love with this author. Lisette Kristensen has outdone herself with Enemies of the Desert. THis heart pounding read will keep you on the edge of your seat begging for more. We meet Blackbird in the first story and I have enjoyed watching her grow. She has become a force to be reckoned with. Everything she has done things that prepare her for the battle with Salena (her evil enemy). She has sacrificed so much, even the her love, Adam. Will Blackbird be able to overcome Salena? Will Blackbird survive this attack? Will Lisette Kristensen write another story about Blackbird? This is a must read!!!

Dark (The Dark Series #1) by Paul L Arvidson – Review by Erica Fish

Dark (The Dark Trilogy Book 1)Dark by Paul L. Arvidson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dark the first book in the series by Paul Arvidson is a beautifully written Sci-Fi fantasy book. This is my first book by this author so I did not have any preconceived thoughts of what to expect. Arvidson’s story is well thought out, characters are fully developed, and keeps you guessing on what is coming down the pike. One thing I really love about Sci-FI is that there are no rules. Arvidson created a new world that kept me turning the pages because I could not wait to see what was happening next. Dark is a planet on which Dun with his two friends are on a journey through a labyrinth. There are missing elements that Dun is trying to seek out. He is having dreams, but he is not sure if they mean anything. Will Dun and his friends make it through the labyrinth? What other dangers will they encounter?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you have not already read the first three books in this series, I highly recommend reading them. An Unexpected Sequel is the fourth book in the series. Heather Silvio’s books keeps getting better. One thing I liked about her stories is they are quick reads. There is a bit of suspense filled in the pages so you want to make sure you are paying attention to the details. In this book we learn about Robin and Jackson. Robin made a deal with a demon which made her a servant of the demon’s bidding. One day the demon told her that she was supposed to kill Jackson McKee. Dinner with the Wolf is the second book in the series of Misfits & Rogues by Kimberly Forrest. This book cover caught my eye and I was like I have to read this book. This story is about Vivian Page and Jules Kincaid. Vivian is running from her sanctuary to escape punishment. Then there is Jules Kincaid who is dying inside and does not want to go and get the spoiled little vampire he cannot stand. Smoke & Mirrors (Nite Fire #3)Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Smoke & Mirrors is the third book in the Nite Fire series by C. L. Schneider. This is a three book series and you will be missing some of the story that is referenced from books one and two. I was not sure what I was thinking with the title of Smoke & Mirrors but I can tell you that it was much more than I thought. Schneider is an author that does not disappoint.
