Fools Rush In (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 3) by Donna S. Frelick – Review by Erica Fish

Fools Rush In (Interstellar Rescue, #3)Fools Rush In by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fools Rush In is the third book in the Interstellar Rescue Series by Donna Frelick. These books can be a stand alone book, but you would get more enjoyment if you would read all the books in this series. Frelick paints a beautiful picture in my mind’s eye with her storytelling skills. Her characters are interactive and fully developed. I feel as if the characters are my best friends. Rayna is on a mission but she is finding herself convincing Sam a pirate to assist her. What will Sam assist Rayna in? Will it be just a mission or will there be something more?

Eternity (Captivity Series Book 3) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Erica Fish

Eternity (Captivity Book 3)Eternity by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eternity is the last book in the Captivity Series by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk. Like the other two books, this book is not one to miss. Biglow and Zenk brought life to their stories. The well developed characters to a well thought out plot to keep you engaged until the end. There are some surprises and a roller coaster ride is worth the read. I would be careful because once you start you may not stop until the very end. The characters are real and they belief in the Sanctuary but will a decision they make for the good or will it be their end?

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King – Review by Erica Fish

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1)Dangerously Close To Extinction by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I do not know about you, but when I see my favorite author releases a new book I am all about getting it first and fast. The problem is that I usually finish it right away and need to wait for the next book to read. C.A. King is that author. I love her stories. She really puts in her heart and soul into her work. You can always bet there is action, adventure, likeable characters, characters you do not like, far off lands, and many more exciting things. Dangerously Close To Extinction is no different. There is an adventure that makes you look around every page you turn to see what is going to happen next. The roller coaster ride starts on the first page and ends on the last page. I cannot wait to see what Ms. King is going to write next.

Surviving Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 3) by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Erica Fish

Surviving Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 3)Surviving Wrath by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Deadliest Sin Series by Gwyn McNamee is a series to get if you love romantic suspense books. Ms. McNamee does a wonderful job with her descriptive writing. She is able to paint a picture you can see in your mind’s eye. Surviving Wrath is the last book in the series. Ms. McNamee held my interest from the first page of book one, Wrath to the last page in Surviving Wrath. Her characters are fully developed and personable. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions and with some twists and turns in the plot. There are sometimes when I am engrossed in a book that I start taking to my kindle. One lesson I learned from this series is that Wrath will find you wherever you are because it is one of the deadliest sins.

Tails Always Wins (Chasing Tails Book 1) by C.A. King – Review by Erica Fish

Tails Always WinsTails Always Wins by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ms. King YOU ARE THE BOMB!!! Every time I pick up one of your books I am not disappointed. I love this series Chasing Tails. I have read book 1, Tails Always Wins and I am still in awe of what I just read. First things first, if for whatever reason you have not read any of Ms. King’s books I highly recommend all of them. Her stories are ALWAYS engaging, well-written, action packed, and always hides a little nugget of a message that she lets you find on your own. Tails Always Wins is a shifter story that has a little thriller going on with her characters, and is a fast read. This story is about Brodie. Now Brodie is a shifter who cannot afford to let everyone know he is a shifter. Now it is even harder because the laws of his world, he can be put to death because he is a shifter. He is the quiet type and now he has to decide what to do should he stand up for himself and other shifters or should he stand back on the side lines? In comes Tails that could switch up everything. How is Brodie going to react to Tails? Will Tails be Brodie’s undoing or will she help save him? I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for this new series.

Trouble in Mind (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 2) by Donna S. Frelick – Review by Erica Fish

Trouble in Mind (Interstellar Rescue, #2)Trouble in Mind by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where to begin with this action packed Trouble in Mind by Donna S. Frelick. This is the second book in the series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Donna Frelick does an amazing job writing her stories. This story is written from different points of view. This could be tricky at times but not for Ms. Frelick. The flow is spot on with who you are learning the thoughts and actions. No confusion at all. The adventure that is before me kept me on the edge of my seat turning the pages as fast as I can. In this story Lana and Gabriel team up to find a kidnapped boy and his mother. There are things that do not quite seem to fit and that is where the rubber meets the road. I highly recommend this story. I cannot see what other books I can find by Donna S. Frelick.

Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd by Christy Nicholas – Review by Erica Fish

Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd.Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd. by Christy Nicholas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd by Christy Nicholas is a mysterious read. If you are a fan of sci-fi and time travel this story is for you. Christy Nicholas has done an amazing job going back and forth from current to past with regards to time period information. Hopefully Christy Nicholas writes more stories that can be an extension of this book. The way Ms. Nicolas describes the scene make it so easy to gain the picture in my mind’s eye. I felt immersed in the story and could easily relate to the characters and what they were going through the story. The fact that there is a Temporal Agent, Wilda Firestone called out of retirement to assist in this case. She was full of spunk and her sidekick has an attitude is what is needed to help stop the murders of fellow Temporal Agents. Will Wilda be able to stop the murders? Will time travel ever be able to do so? Only time can tell by reading this story.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander Featured in the Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection – Review by Erica Fish

Sweetest Obsessions: A Contemporary Romance Boxed Set CollectionSweetest Obsessions: A Contemporary Romance Boxed Set Collection by Jane Anthony
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This collection is amazing and a great read. I am reviewing Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander.

Phoebe Alexander did it again. She has the knack of giving you more than you can even imagine in her stories. Sugar & Spice is no different. Alexander has this unique ability to take her characters and make you feel like you are right there feeling everything they feel. Her characters are fully developed and are complicated just enough to make them real for me. She creates a world that I have been there before and want to go back as soon as possible. This story is about Cy and Jolie. Cy was put in place to work at his family’s child theme park as an undercover boss. Cy picks Jolie out immediately and knew he needed to meet her. Jolie is the Red Velvet Queen who is trying to keep her job. She is attracted to Cy. She is trying to play it on the down low. There are secrets that need to be uncovered and through Alexander’s story telling they eventually come out in the open. Will the future hold a place for Cy and Jolie together? One will have to read this story to find out.

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Erica Fish

Game ChangerGame Changer by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is a romantic comedy. This is not my first book by this author and it will not be my last. Stewart creates a great story and characters that you can become apart of easily. I found that this was a fast paced story. I was reading the story and even my puppy was looking at me funny because I was laughing so hard. This is a story that proves that opposites attract. I recommend this story to anyone who needs a laugh.

Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Erica Fish

Rule BreakerRule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Phoebe Alexander is one author that comes to mind when I think of hot and sexy stories. Rule Breaker does not disappoint. Alexander has built up her books with confidence, building, and strong complex characters. I often feel like the characters can be close like friends in the “normal” life. Alexander brings out so many emotions within myself that I feel like I am in the story as well. The main theme of the story is about protecting loved ones. In this story Athena has a husband who recently retired and wants to bring another partner to their bed. Athena has a lot going on besides what her husband is asking of her. She is also trying to save a magazine business. There are rules out there to follow within the business world, relationships, and marital romance. Will Athena be able to figure out what to do? What rules are ok to break when others are not to be broken?

Love Me, Dreamy (Love Me Series) by Laura Burton – Review by Erica Fish

Love Me, DreamyLove Me, Dreamy by Laura Burton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Even before I start my review, I want to express how great it was at the end of the blurb for the book there is the following note: “Note: No sex, swearing, HEA No animals are harmed in this book. As a parent of teenage daughters, I appreciated this note. I wish more YA authors would follow this example. Now that I have said that, I love this book. Love Me, Dreamy by Laura Burton is a paranormal romance. The story was engaging. I felt the need to keep turning the pages to find out what was the mystery around Toby and Amelia. Toby knows something and he cannot tell Amelia for fear of losing her. There are hurdles that Amelia goes through and by doing this could mean that Amelia will be unraveling. This story has secrets, chances, and a leap of faith. What will Toby and Amelia’s future holds for them? Will the mysteries be revealed? You will have read the story to find out.

Sanctuary (Captivity Series Book 2) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Erica Fish

Sanctuary (Captivity Book 2)Sanctuary by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sanctuary is the second installment of the Captivity series by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. I do not know about you but I almost hate more than one installment in a story. The reason being is because I am a little impatient to read the next book. I want it now!!! At last, that is the real reason why there are series is to get you to wanting more. Biglow and Zenk has made that in their Captivity series. They hold you with their ability to give you just enough to send you to the next page in the book. There is action, adventure, and life or death situations. (What is even harder is there is one more book to this series.) Aiden and Lorelei are running from the sirens and are coming into disaster at every turn. The mission needs to be accomplished for their freedom and health. Will Aiden and Lorlei make it to freedom or will they be one step closer to death?

Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley – Review by Erica Fish

Siren's Call: Cursed SeasSiren’s Call: Cursed Seas by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amy McKinley is an author that I was introduced to when I was looking for new authors. She has an amazing ability to grab me in her synopsis. Her talents of storytelling grabs me from the first paragraph until the last word. Siren’s Call: Cursed Seas was no different. She sets up the scenery in such a way that you really get a great picture in the mind’s eye. Now add the characters like Nerissa. She is chosen to be the next maiden sacrifice and she is trying to get out of this sacrifice. Her little seaside village has been protected by the gods but time is running out. The village is already showing signs of disfavor by the gods. As the time comes near for Nerissa to be sacrificed, there is a visitor (an outsider) who comes to take Nerissa away. Will this protect Nerissa from becoming the maiden sacrifice or will it anger the gods? Read the story and find out for yourself.

Legacy of Luck (The Druid’s Brooch Series Book 3) by Christy Nicholas – Review by Erica Fish

Legacy of Luck (Druid's Brooch #3)Legacy of Luck by Christy Nicholas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Legacy of Luck is the third book in the The Druid’s Brooch Series by Christy Nicholas. Nicholas’s story telling grabs you from the beginning and keeps up the details until the very end. I loved the journey of this story. Between Scotland and Ireland the scenery could not have a better backdrop. In this book, Eamonn takes a journey to Scotland to find his bride. Kate is on a journey to find him. There are some obstacles in their way. Eammon has the brooch his father had given him. We see the power in the brooch when Eammon uses it. Will Eammon find Kate and vice versa? Will others get in the way? Will the brooch help or will it hinder Eammon?

Monty and the Monster by Rhonda Smiley – Review by Erica Fish

Monty and the MonsterMonty and the Monster by Rhonda Smiley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Monty and the Monster by Rhonda Smiley in my opinion would be a great book for elementary through junior high school. It is a well written and the story tells a tale which can be related to by most kids. . Monty is a young man who has moved four times in the last two years. Now that sounds like a lot and it is but what is even worse is that he is in seventh grade. This complicates things a little bit. He does feel like he fits in. He is looking for a friend which he has not accomplished yet. While looking in the basement he found a serum that will replicate. Monty, like any 12 year boy, decides he will create a friend. Will this actually solve his friendless dilemma? What will the other kids say? Will his friend work out or will it be more trouble than what he is worth?

The Season Finale (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 6) by Heather Silvio – Review by Erica Fish

The Season Finale (Paranormal Talent Agency, #6)The Season Finale by Heather Silvio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have really fallen in love with the Paranormal Talent Agency Book series. Heather Silvio has really made reading these stories a lot of fun. Her characters were fully developed and connectable. The stories are fast reads. There is something for everyone in the books. She also keeps you turning the pages because you just never know what is coming next. This story is no different. The last book is no different. The Agency is called into action one last time. The characters are a were-panther, ghost, and Liz to bring the supernatural world through one last adventure.

Thank you Heather Silvio I cannot wait to see what is next.

OF WAR AND TATERS by Ashley Chappell – Review by Erica Fish

Of War and TatersOf War and Taters by Ashley Chappell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am not sure what I was expecting with a title like OF WAR AND TATERS but I had to give it a read. I loved Ashley Chappell other stories so I knew it was going to be good. This story had me laughing so hard that my dog even looked at me like I was crazy. When you take a small town that have a variety of characters and what do you get? OF WAR AND TATERS is the answer. Ashley Chappell has created a great small town atmosphere. There is chaos a foot. The town of Merit really does not know what will be happening next. There is media coming into the town, a circus, and no one is getting along. If that was not bad enough there is a ghost bringing even more trouble in the town. Sheriff Stanley is on the case and he is trying to keep everyone safe. Will the chaos ever settle down? Will Sheriff Stanley figure out what is going on? Just take some time and read the fun story OF WAR AND TATERS.

Beau & Bett by Kathryn Berla – Review by Erica Fish

Beau and BettBeau and Bett by Kathryn Berla
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beau & Bett by Kathryn Berla is a fun modern day fairy tale. Her characters resemble the fairytale but there are many more layers to their characters. I was a little skeptical because I love Beauty and the Beast. I was blown away. There were some harsh moments with the Beau and Bett but that was to be expected. Overall I would recommend this story to everyone. There needs to be a little more fairy tale stories in this chaotic world.

Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) by Zeia Jameson – Review by Erica Fish

Proper ImpulseProper Impulse by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Proper Impulse is the fourth book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I have read the other stories and I really like the character development that Zeia Jameson provides her readers. Her characters are fully developed, and in this story, opposite attract like cold and hot. Milo is a by the book character and Juniper is more of the way of life is more important than the rules. It was funny watching Milo and Juniper interact in the story. Will they learn to work through their differences? What will happen if they don’t? I recommend this story to learn if they are able to give into their differences.

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Erica Fish

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2)Undercover by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Via Mari did it again with Undercover. This is another example of why I love reading Via Mari. Her stories are intriguing and keeps you involved with the characters in her stories. This story is about Matt and Marenah. Marenah is the daughter of the Russian Mafia and Matt is a security guard. Marenah does not come out and tell that she is a daughter of the Russian Mafia. Matt finds out the secret and believes that that little problem can be overcome. Will Matt be correct and will overcome the ties to the mafia? Can Marenah and Matt have a relationship? Only reading this story will you find out what happens.

Unchained Memory (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 1) by Donna S. Frelick – Review by Erica Fish

Unchained Memory ( Interstellar Rescue Series Book 1)Unchained Memory by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unchained Memory is a different read by Donna S. Frelick. This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. Frelick has written a story about lost time, abduction, aliens, and romance that should not be. The characters in the story are fully developed. I felt as if I was going through the story right there with Asia. Asia has found herself in a little predicament. She has lost time, have invisible forces clashing around her, and she has fallen for the wrong guy. The story has a good pace to the story that will keep you turning the pages. Will Asia figure out what has happened? Will Asia’s love stay with her? What exactly happened during her lost time period? This will be answered with a little more suspense when you read the book.

Happily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone – Review by Erica Fish

Happily Ever After - Brothers of Camelot StyleHappily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Happily Ever After- Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone is one magical read. Her characters are fully developed and lovable. She gives such meaning and life into her writing. It allows the reader to become part of the story. With a title of Happily Ever After there had to be a love story involved and there was. This is the story of Bella and Fitz. Bella and Fitz found the love of their life when they met as kids. Almost like boy meets girl, boy loves girl, and boy wants to be together forever with gild. That is not exactly happened. Once Fitz and Bella were torn apart before the stage of teenage love could cement their relationship. Fitz went on with his life with a motto of “One and Done”. When Bella came back into Fitz’s life and the motto changed to “One and Only” will Fitz and Bella rekindle their true love? What will be in store for them to become “Happily Ever After”?

Captivity: A Paranormal Romance Novella (Captivity Book 1) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Erica Fish

Captivity (Captivity Book 1)Captivity by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Captivity: A Paranormal Romance Novella by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is a short exciting read. Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk are new authors to me. I find that their writing style is one of mysteries, excitement, and over all easy to read. This story is about Lorelei and Aiden. Lorelei is a siren who is looking for her long lost boyfriend. Aiden is that long lost boyfriend, but there is a catch. Aiden is a Phoenix and he cannot remember any of his former lives. Aiden has a deadly poison running through his veins and Lorelei is the one that tries to help him. Will Lorelei be able to save Aiden? Will Aiden remember Lorelei from a past life? You will have to read the story to find out.

17 Marigold Lane (Prudence Penderhaus Book 1) by R.M. Gilmore – Review by Erica Fish

17 Marigold Lane17 Marigold Lane by R.M. Gilmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was amazing!!! I have to say that the cover is what caught my eye. R. M. Gilmore is off the chain. She knows how to grab your attention and keep a hold of your interest until the last word of the book. There is a mystery and suspense throughout the story. I never saw what was coming around the bend. This story is about Prudence. She is a diamond in the ruff. The other kids as well as Prue does not think so. She is a strong and will not back down if she believes in. She meets a boy from the “spook house”. There is so much more in the story but I am not a fan of spoilers. Enjoy 17 Marigold Lane and keep your eyes open to see what is coming next.

Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles by Autumn Sand – Review by Erica Fish

Ruin (The El Diablo Chronicles)Ruin by Autumn Sand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ruin: The El Diablo Chronicles by Autumn Sand is a steamy story about Tallie and Raymond. Autumn Sand has a way of keeping my interest in the story (especially romance is not my first choice of material). Her descriptive wording is what keeps me interested. I love her characters and the story line. Tallie is a woman who keeps herself guarded. She doesn’t like to show herself to every Tom, Dick, and Henry. She is reserved and doesn’t want to get hurt. In the next breath she knows what she wants and doesn’t care what the cost may be. Raymond is another person who appears to be closely guarded as well. He has a strict code and lives by that code. So what happens when Tallie meets Raymond? You will have to read the story to get that information.

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana – Review by Erica Fish

Orion's KissOrion’s Kiss by Claire Luana
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana is an interesting story. The description says it is YA Paranormal Romance, but saying that I would categorize it as MA. This is a mythological story and grabbed my interest for that point alone. It is was written beautifully. I could not stop reading the book until I read the last page. One main reason I would call this MA is because of the undertones of the words. It has face value meaning which makes it YA, but if you understand the undertones it takes on a whole new meaning. Merope is the youngest of seven sisters who sees visions of her sister’s death. Orion is the one who murders her sisters all so long ago. She needs to kill him to break the curse put on her and sisters. Will Merope be able stop Orion or will this be her curse forever?

Whom Shall I Kiss… An Earl, A Marquess, or A Duke? (Tricking the Scoundrels #1) by Laura A. Barnes – Review by Erica Fish

Whom Shall I Kiss... An Earl, A Marquess, or A Duke? (Tricking the Scoundrels #1)Whom Shall I Kiss… An Earl, A Marquess, or A Duke? by Laura A. Barnes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Whom Shall I Kiss…An Earl, A Marquess, or a Duke? By Laura Barnes is a historical romance story. The flow of the story is a nice and steady pace. Barnes puts a lot of effort into making the story match the time period she is writing about. The characters are so descriptive that you feel like you are in the same era as they are. The story is about Sidney Hartridge and her theory. She wants to kiss these three men and find out which one would protect her honor. Things didn’t go as planned. What happens to the theory? What happens to her honor? What would you do if your father agrees to suiter that is apart of your theory test subjects?

The Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree – Review by Erica Fish

The Dreamer's VengeanceThe Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Dreamer’s Vengeance by Helen Tyree is my first read by this author. Her style is vivid scenery, easy to get wrapped up in the characters, and the presentation of the story. With these three things done by Helen Tyree, makes the book that much more enjoyable to read. I would say that this is a YA book, on the other hand I would as an adult read this story. It has a fast pace movement to keep you on your toes. Since it was so easy to follow, I did not realize that I had read the whole book. I love it when you can get that involved with the story to lose all sense of the world around you to the world inside your imagination. The story is about people of Israa having evil humans take hold of their land. There is a prophecy about a Dreamer who will free them from the evil humans. It was a long time since the prophecy has been proclaimed and now there is a plan. Will the Dreamer hold true to the prophecy? Will the prophecy come true? Is there something there that wasn’t there before? All of these questions will be answered and more. I would recommend this story to forget about the world for a while. .

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 1) by India Kells – Review by Erica Fish

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance)The Debt Collector by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Debt Collector by India Kells is a hot steaming romance, suspense, and erotica story. India Kells does an amazing job of descriptive writing. Her words can form the pictures in your imagination. The story is about Dr. Freeman who helps with an underground slave ring. She gets captured by the slave master and it was not looking good. She gets rescued by a debt collector and she needs to pay him with her body. That is where the story steams up. How much will she have to “pay” to the debt collector? Will she be able to find out what really is going on?

The Trouble With Paradise (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Erica Fish

The Trouble with Paradise (Madeline Dawkins #4)The Trouble with Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Trouble With Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton is the fourth in the Madeline Dawkins. Cynthia Hamilton does a homerun with this installment of Madeline Dawkins story. Her writing style is one that pulls you into the story. Once you are hooked, you do not want to put the kindle down. The dynamic duo Madeline and Mike are back in action with two clients. Will they be able to find out what exactly happened or will the cover up remain?
