Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams, #3)Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to ask myself how have I not read anything by her before? This was a really great read and although I haven’t read any of the series previously this book was easily read as a standalone. The authors’ writing was exciting and pulled me in straight away. I loved all the different twists and turns and I was on the edge of my seat trying to guess what was going to happen on more than one occasion.
I liked the characters Helena and Thomas, they both had a past that was quite horrific but when they meet each other you could just feel the connection that they had. This is quite a dark read I will admit but I still really enjoyed it.
I am definitely going to be looking to read more from this author again in the future and I highly recommend this book especially if you enjoy a little darkness to your reads!

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) by Abbie Roads is another great book in the Fatal Dreams series where the legend continues. It is a supernatural story that is full of darkness and suspense, pain and suffering, destiny and love. Each book is about couples that are bound by a legend where they are destined to be together. Where the connection together is life long and undeniable. This series is one of my favourites and is a compelling and engrossing read that you can not put down until you know how it ends. Abbie is very very good at writing something so dark but also so sweet.

Helena is living a life not of her making. Being accused of something she didn’t do but no one believes her. Freedom is not far away but can she survive long enough to get there. Thomas is damaged and lived through a horrific and tragic past by a monster that he has to live with every day.

All it takes is one look, and their lives change in a way neither of them would have ever thought. If only they can defeat the monster that won’t let go. If only they can escape from the dark.

Even though there is a lot of dark content in this story it is one that grips your heart to the point of tears and makes you hope against hope that these beautiful broken people find peace and love in their lives.

I am in shocked and a little sick. This story was unbelievable. The thought of living a life like Helen and Thomas lived is frightening. To always be afraid and wondering when it would end. Thomas’s childhood was so depressing and to think that about what his stepfather had planned for him. It made my stomach churn just thinking about it. The author did a great job writing this story. It was suspenseful, painful and in some ways beautiful. The bond between Helen and Thomas grew and was a thing to behold. The moment he realized he could heal her and set to just that was the moment I knee this book was a keeper.

Never Let Me Fall is the third book in the Fatal Dreams series. I love this series; every book has been fabulous and this one is no exception. While it does mention characters from the previous books, it can be read as a standalone. Seriously though, the other books warrant a read, so why not add them to your TBR list!!!

The author has superbly blended romance with suspense and danger in this dark and intriguing story of healing the wounds of the past though love and acceptance. The main characters have deep and complex issues stemming from the pain of past events. Due to the nature of the subject matter, there may be triggers for some individuals.

Get it. Read it!!!! You will not be disappointed.

Abbie Roads has done it again. I am left breathless after Never Let Me Fall, book three in the Fatal Dreams series. Don’t panic if you haven’t read the first two, this can be read as a standalone novel. I would recommend that you read them as soon as you can if you have not because they are equally breathtaking.

Let me just start with the gorgeous cover. Not only eye catching but beyond fitting and makes perfect sense once you read the novel. If I hadn’t read anything by Abbie Roads before I would have picked this up without even reading the synopsis.

Helena, I just loved her. She was a strong woman because she had to be. After being convicted of a murder that she didn’t commit as a teenager she spent years in a women’s prison. Brutal beatings has left her scarred both physically and mentally, and with a lot of healing needed by the time her release date comes.

Thomas had his own fair share of scars. When the two meet on the night Helena gets released from the facility there is an instant connection between the two. Both of them are so broken, but in different ways. Could they each have the pieces that could heal the other?

I just adored the way this book came alive off the pages. Abbie Roads has the ability to paint a scene with her words and make you feel as if you are right there with the characters. Each time I finish one of her novels I feel a great hangover and this one was no different. I can’t wait to see what will come next! Thanks for the great read!

Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads is the third book in the fatal dreams series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I will personally be going back to catch up on what I have missed!
This book caught my attention from the moment I read the blurb. I was intrigued by Thomas and his “inability” to see colour. I wanted to see how this would shape his work and his life.
And when Helena is introduced it really adds more definition to the whole story. This is a new author for me and I loved how easily she captured my interest and also how easily she held it throughout the whole book. This was an interesting and unique story that I throughly enjoyed.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The third installment in the Fatal Dreams series, Never Let Me Fall, by Abbie Roads continues with its romantic suspense theme. Abbie Roads is highly talented in how she writes these stories. In Never Let Me Fall, the story immediately opens into a scene that makes you hold your breath! Oh my goodness, this book seriously had me on the edge of my seat quickly reading to see what was to happen next! Talk about a page turner!! I felt that the characters were each perfectly flawed. Helena’s past is not an easy one, yet the author handled it with flare without it feeling too weak or overly done. Thomas is enticing, the reader is drawn to him, to his personality and how he interacts. Combining these two characters together was climatic and how they juggle and combat against forces was well played. This story holds its own within the series, but I liked the touch of how there are small, minuscule pieces that overflow from the other books in the series.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3)
By Abbie Roads
Rated 4 stars

Thomas’ story drew me in when I first heard about it. A guy who sees black/white and has for years then once he sees a woman…all the colors come to life. Heck yeah! I wanted to read that! Because I know he will want her. She not only adds color but also fills those empty holes he had inside him. Win-win!

I had high hopes for this book. I read the last two books in the series and ab-so-lutely loved them. I am not sure why but this book was a struggle for me. At first I couldn’t connect with the characters. At times the story seemed disjointed and I had to reread pages thinking I had missed something. But it all seemed to flow much better the further Into the story I got. I started to feel the connection and actually “feel” the MC’s bond grow. There is quite a bit of movement in the last half of the book which makes some things come together. It was nice to briefly see Lathan and Evanee as they helped out a bit.

As stated above I loved the others in this series. Heck I am a one clicker of Abbie Roads. But I am sorry. I wanted to love Thomas’ story but it is an okay to good read for me.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams, #3)Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads is an excellent book. The whole Fatal Dreams series is an excellent group of books that you will like to read. This book can be a standalone story but would be beneficial to read the other stories. The tone of the story is a suspense, action, mystery which allows the story to move along more quickly. I was nail biting through parts of the story and wanting to close my eyes at other parts (which is hard to do when you are reading the story). This story is about Thomas and Helena. This is an interesting story as Thomas can only see in black and white, but Thomas can see the human soul (in my opinion an awesome gift). Helena has been in prison for the last 10 years being convicted of murdering her boyfriend. Now Helena has said from the beginning that she was innocent of that crime. Now the paths of Helena and Thomas have been cross and there will be answers to the questions, but will they be able to trust each other is another question that needs to be answered. Will their relationship keep going strong or will fail? You will find that answer when you read this book.

I enjoy how this book pulled me right in from the first word. I also found this to be fast reading with a plot that is engaging. Thomas and Helena are very likable characters that I could connect with. Thomas has a unique ability where he can see into someone’s soul but he sees the world in black and white until he meets Helena. She brings life and more color then he could ever imagine but she also brings a past that could be a threat. I highly recommend reading this book.

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams Book 3)
By: Abbie Roads
5 out of 5 stars

The story Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams Book 3) by Abbie Roads is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that has action, suspense, and mystery all rolled into a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is a page-turning novel. I loved reading about the characters of Thomas Brown and Helena Grayse. Thomas is a man that can only see the world in black and white. That is until he meets Helena. Helena is a woman who has suffered at the hands of others. She has strength and she is a survivor. Even so, if she is cornered or feels uncomfortable with a situation she feels the need to run. When they meet Thomas and Helena both have a connection to each other. She becomes the one person that he can’t live without. He is someone who wants to keep her safe. What will happen when they are targeted and threatened by an enemy? Will they survive? Read this book to find out. This is a story that will have your emotions going up and down all the time. I loved that the story is written with such detail that I felt like I was right there with the characters seeing what they were. This story does include some steamy scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to love the characters of Thomas and Helena with each chapter that I read, and I was rooting for them to find happiness and a happy ending. This is an amazingly wonderful book that I would highly recommend reading.

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) by Abbie Roads was a unique, heart pounding, paranormal thriller, that had me hooked from start to finish.

My first read by this author and for this series. Again, if you know me, I tend to read books out of order, but no worries this book reads as a standalones. And form what I have researched about this original series, so do the other books. That being said, this book isn’t like anything I have read before. It puts a new spin on crime dramas, and that uniqueness adds something more than special and extra, it makes it stand out and memorable.

I love finding these, out-of-box reads; it has taken something has has been done and elevates it into something rare and as I said, memorable. What I liked the most was the excellent balance of good with the dark and twisty. The tone shifts were on point and really brought this tale to life. Our MC was topnotch, well rounded and believable. His emotions were raw and powerful, not only in love but in his ambition to do what’s right.

Overall this book is a solid 5 star read. If the other books are anything like this one, then I’m missing out and need to go back and read the other two books. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will be addicted to this book.

Happy Reading

Abbie Roads loves Snickers Parfaits and acrylic pour painting. It’s her new obsession. The pour painting. Not the parfaits. Though the parfaits would qualify as an obsession too. She spends her days a mental health counselor always looking on the brightside, but at night she likes to write dark and dangerous things—with kissing and sexy times. She loves reading inspirational quotes and stories about serial killers. She is married to her favorite fellow and they have two cranky old rescue dogs that are not spoiled. Not at all. Okay. Maybe a little. Alright, the dogs are terribly spoiled, but they do give lots of cuddles and kisses in return.

Her first book RACE THE DARKNESS was a Publishers Weekly Top 10 Pick for Fall.

Hunt the Dawn (Fatal Dreams, #2)Hunt the Dawn by Abbie Roads
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was just as spellbinding as the first one in the series. The characters capture your attention and hold it until the very end. You can read Hunt the Dawn as a standalone, however characters from the first book are mentioned in it, so in order to get the full impact, I suggest reading the first one (plus, you’ll love it just as much).

Lathan is a special consultant for the government in relation to cold cases. Currently he is working on a case involving several murders that he believes were perpetrated by one person. He is insistent that even though the cases seem unrelated, they actually are. As a rule, Lathan doesn’t involve himself much with people, but that all changes when he meets Evanee.

Evanee has had a hard life and all she wants is to save enough money to move out of town. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to shake her past. In the process of trying to run from it, Evanee ends up running into Lathan. She knows she shouldn’t trust a stranger, but there is something about him that puts her at ease. When she begins having vivid dreams, she and Lathan begin a journey together that neither of them expected.

A little intrigue, a little mystery, a little romance, a little drama…what’s not to love!

Race the Darkness (Fatal Dreams, #1)Race the Darkness by Abbie Roads
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Race the Darkness is the first book in the Fatal Dreams series. Thankfully this is not a cliff hanger and the story is wrapped up well.

Everything changed for Xander when he was struck by lightning. With increased hearing abilities and the ability to read thoughts, he often helps out authorities as a special consultant. It’s difficult sometimes to manage all of the input, especially in regard to one voice he keeps hearing over and over again. It’s happened for years and his solution has been to drink it away.

On one occasion he finally lets the voice lead him and he ends up finding a girl and her grandmother trapped in a trailer with a mentally ill woman who has been abusing them. After rescuing them, he discovers an unusual connection between himself and the victim, Isleen.

As they spend more time together, Xander learns that Isleen has been having traumatic dreams that foretell the future. And, interestingly, Isleen is the only one that can help him manage his powers. The more they are around each other, the more their bond grows. But then, just as things seem to be going well, someone murders Isleen’s grandmother and then kidnaps Isleen.

This book is full of family drama, a religious cult, twists and turns, and the strange actions that some people take out of a twisted sense of love.

Race the Darkness (Fatal Dreams, #1)Race the Darkness by Abbie Roads
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Race to Darkness is the first book in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads and is a paranormal romance. I enjoy reading Abbie’s books and this one did not disappoint me. This dark story has tales of legends, people with powers and a religious cult that you just want to see the same happen to them. You will find yourself going through a myriad of emotions as you walk along this path with these characters.

Isleen Walker has given up on ever being found. She has endured 8 years of hell and no longer has the will to live and she had made peace that death but event that seems to elude her. Nothing will take her away from her living nightmare. The only thing that has kept her alive this long is the belief in her dreams. Dreams that seem so real and yet so far away.

Xander Stone has a gift but if you ask him it is a curse, but if you want information then he is your man. He uses his gift to help catch criminals but the only way for him to survive is by drowning out the noise in his head. Now he doesn’t know why but he is being pulled towards something and can not stop himself. What he finds at his destination breaks his heart and is at a loss for who could have done such a thing.

When the two connect the world is set to right. Being apart is not an option. Is it madness or something much deeper than either of them suspect?

OMG the men in this story need a good slap but they get there in the end and there is a lot of crazy goings on that keeps you glued to the story to see what was going to happen next. I am waiting with baited breath to see what Abbie comes up with next for her next book.

This is a 5 star crazy read.
