Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Time doesn’t heal all wounds. Love does”.
The Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander consists of three books, Mountains Wanted, Mountains Climbed and Mountains Loved featuring Sociology Professor Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. The series follows their relationship from their first meeting at a ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Panel event’ where Sarah is a speaker and James is in the audience, and the books tell their relationship saga. Sarah is a single Mum of two and James is about to be deployed when they first meet and start a ‘friends with benefits’ type relationship. The chemistry between the couple sizzles off the page and the box set is recommended for 18+ due to the steamy sex scenes. The couple have a very rocky relationship and encounter many obstacles but they do enter into a non conventional polyamorous relationship.
This is a well written series, full of drama, romance, steamy sex scenes and great characters with amazing chemistry. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it and I fell in love with the very realistic characters, James and Sarah. As well as the main characters there is a host of great secondary characters all of which are fascinating in their own right. I liked how the author had the couple in a non conventional relationship and that Sarah was the more sexually aware of the two. It was an original and unpredictable read full of emotional ups and downs. I loved how Sarah and James relationship changed and developed over the course of the 3 books and how despite many problems they always came back together stronger than before.
I was hooked from page one of the first book and was pleased that all three books were in the box set so I could continue reading Sarah and James story from start to finish. I definitely recommend this contemporary romance series by Phoebe Alexander.

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Lisa Helmick

Imposter (Ash Park, #7)Imposter by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! This is eye opening. I am almost speechless about what to write. The story just really…really makes you think. I was sickened as well as freaked out on numerous occasions. Then something would happen that would make me laugh. Usually it’s a crazy Petrosky comment or action. Even Jackson a couple times a some good zingers.

This isn’t my first story by this author. Ed is getting back into being Detective, sleuthing
and annoying suspects. I love his go getter take no crap attitude. Jackson smoothes out his rough edges. Morrison is tough to replace but Jackson is getting there.

This is a great thrill ride. One that will shock and surprise you.

2am Secrets by M. Piper – Review by Jennifer Gordon

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this forbidden romance story, Sadie and Archer have sizzling chemistry but Sadie’s overprotective twin brother Sam is also Archers best friend and the two have kept their attraction to each other to themselves for years. Having stopped fighting their attraction and chemistry during a New Years Eve party and spending the night together the two then can’t deny that they have something special and that it was more than a one night stand. However keeping it a secret from everyone so as not to hurt Sam, who seems to be on self destruct, puts a strain on their new relationship and once their secret is out, can any of them survive the fall out.
This was a forbidden romance but with enough twists in the storyline to keep it unpredictable and it also touched on sensitive issues such as bereavement, ill health and addiction. The characters which I fell in love with are likeable and realistic and I was fully immersed in their world whilst reading the book. This book was full of drama, romance, steamy sex scenes and took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading it. I was cheering Sadie and Archer on, wanting them to have their HEA. I could not put this book down and I’m looking forward to reading more books by M.Piper.

2am Secrets by M. Piper – Review by Erica Fish

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

M. Piper is a new author to me and I jumped into the book without blinders on. There comes a point in people’s lives that no one wants to admit. There is an attraction to your sibling’s best friend. You try to ignore it because you do not want to hurt their relationship, but on the inside you want that person. That is the kind of love 2AM Secrets is about. Sadie and Sam are twins and they promised each other no relationships with the other’s friends. They were off limits. That was until Sadie started to have feelings for Archer (who happens to be Sam’s best friend). Both tried to stay away from each other, but the attraction was strong. Will Sadie and Archer give in to the attraction? Will they be able to keep the secret from Sam? You will have to read this story to find out this information and more.

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes is the ninth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Series by Tamara Ferguson. I absolutely love this series and this is my favorite book so far in this series. I live in Northern Wisconsin and I feel like the area around my home could be Crystal Rock, so I feel A kinship to this series. I also find that Ms. Ferguson does a wonderful job showing all side of Wounded Warriors dealing with issues. The characters are so true to life and the feels this book brought out are amazing. Sam and Ben have crazy chemistry and I love how they work through their issues. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 9) by Tamara Ferguson – Review by- Lianne Probert

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9)Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from Tamara Ferguson’s Two hearts series, I can’t wait to go back and read the rest.
The story starts with Samantha, who is on a mission that soon goes wrong. After her captain is killed Sam was now in charge, after her and her team fight back Sam is badly injured. Ben Nash witnesses an explosion and when they come to help he finds and rescues Sam, but he is also injured in the process.
Two years later they are reunited in unlikely circumstances, and the story follows the pair as they become closer and look to be finding their happy ever after ending. But the past catches up to them and they find themselves in danger once again.
A must read, I loved it. The characters are so easy to like and I love how Ben breaks through Sam’s initially frost persona. Despite being part of a well established series, this can definitely be read as a stand-alone book. Once I got started reading I found this book hard to put down.

Black Cat Security is a short yet titillating story. Dragomir is a magician that’s been cursed. Suffering from PTSD, he handles it by battling in illegal fights. Upon meeting Ida, the passion ignites. She claims that she can help him. What can she do that the high mages of Scholomance can’t? Unsure, he takes a chance with her. Her remedy turns out to be quite surprising. This is an erotically intense story geared towards a more mature audience. I loved it!

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book three of the Lawson Family series. This book similar to the other books in the series, grabbed my attention from the beginning and didn’t let go. The book is so well written you feel like you really know the characters. Their struggles become your struggles and you can’t help but want them to work through their issues.

Ben knows Danielle might be his only chance to get his act together as much as he doesn’t want a babysitter. Danielle needs this job if she has any hope of paying her family’s debt. Can Ben and Danielle help each other?

2AM Secrets by M. Piper. How is this the first I’ve read by this author?? This book was incredible and I can’t wait to see what else this amazing author has to offer now that I’ve found her. From the description I knew I’d like this story but “like” doesn’t even come close to how I ended up feeling about this story. Try Loved!! The characters had me completely hooked from start to finish. I’m a sucker for a a forbidden type story it’s just right in my eyes. And this author writes forbidden so very well. I simply couldn’t put this book down no matter how much little sleep I got. The connection between the characters jumps off the pages and at times I forgot I was reading. My emotions were definitely all over but I loved every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended!!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Imposter by Meghan O’Flynn is the seventh book in the Ash Park series. These books are best read in order as the characters are recurring and you get the development over the course of the series.
This book has to be my favourite one in this series so far! It was exciting and intense. I found myself desperate to find out what was going on – did the family know something? Was it the kidnappers from previous? Was it something else entirely that I didn’t see coming?
I was hooked on this book from the minute I started reading and I didn’t out it down until I had finished. This was an amazing book and this series is easily one of my favourites!

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mountains Series by Phoebe Alexander is an amazing series that I cannot recommend highly enough. It is a series that does need to be read in order as it follows the same characters the whole way through.
The author has done a fantastic job of creating such lasting and strong characters. I found myself thinking of them even when I was not reading the books. I was behind them the whole way, even when it isn’t clear if they will find their way or not.
The books are so well written. The continuation of the story is done with absolute ease. It never felt like it was drawn out or that the story was getting “old”. The author keeps it fresh and engaging through all 3 books.
Phoebe Alexander has to be one of my favourite authors. I will happily read anything she writes. This series is no different and I would strongly advise you read it immediately.

Devil’s Spawn (Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angela Hayes

Devil's Spawn (Satan's Devils MC Colorado Chapter #6)Devil’s Spawn by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Devil’s Spawn is the sixth book in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett. I love all the books in the Satan’s Devils series, including this ‘spin-off’ series- the ‘Colorado Chapter’. Ms. Mellett knows how to weave an engrossing tale- and this story certainly doesn’t disappoint. This book is the perfect example of everything I love about this series and Ms. Mellett’s writing- emotive, heartbreaking, dramatic, heartfelt, and so sexy. Then add Ms. Mellett’s wonderful characters, and her stories really take flight.
She has given us so many great MC stories lately- one would think that she might lose momentum, or things would start to stale or stall within the series, but that’s definitely not the case here as she’s definitely got her recipe right- bringing us one fantastic story then topping it with another even better one. Each new edition holds the promise of a heartfelt and original read- one I am only too happy to explore.
I really don’t want to spoil it for you, and the blurb does a great job of letting you know what to expect without giving anything away. There are some sensitive issues portrayed in the story, but Ms. Mellett handles them thoughtfully and honestly- giving her story much realism and believability!
Emotional and Brilliant!

Thank you, Ms. Mellett!

Mountains Loved (Mountains #3)Mountains Loved by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third of the “Mountains Loved” series and I’m still finding myself rooting for Dr. Sarah Lynde and Sgt. James McAllister. From the first book to this third of the series, it’s gripped my attention more than I thought it would. The characters feel so real as you experience as much with them as we do in real life. The two main characters are making family decisions and how to move forward as a couple. No matter what they go through, I’m hoping to see them through it all. If you’re gonna read this installment, please pick it up from the beginning! This is well worth the read with so much to look forward to.

A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock 'N Sweet Romance 3)A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a beautiful story about a singer Drew Kendall and a violinist star Marrielle McKinnon whose stories come together as one after sharing a kiss under the strawberry moon. Their future seems perfect but they’re headed in two different directions as she’s headed for the moon in Hollywood as he’s finishing his education but going into teaching.
After getting into it with his family, Drew’s plans change drastically as he has to drop out of college and heads to the army instead. After being injured, he doesn’t want to turn to Marrielle, afraid he’d burden her but can their love survive?
What I love about this story is it gives you hope for what love can be despite difficult terrains, twists and turns. I love how the characters find their way back to one another and find love in the darkest of times. It makes you believe if you’re not already personally attached in real life in love again and it’s worth it. This book shows the innocence of what love can be. Great read!

A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock 'N Sweet Romance 3)A KISS BENEATH A STRAWBERRY MOON by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Kiss Beneath a Strawberry Moon is the 3rd book in the Daydreams & Dragonflies series by Tamara Ferguson. It is a sweet romance, like most of her novels. I love reading them because they are quick and provide the warm fuzzies, but I felt this one ended too abruptly. This book follows the story of Marielle and Drew, and their love at first sight. Marielle is a singer, and Drew is a composer, both attending a musical summer camp. It would seem things would work out perfectly, but they came from different worlds. Marielle is a rising star, about to embark on a wonderful adventure. Drew is torn between going to college like his father wants, and chasing his dream of composing. After a falling out with his dad, Drew enlists in the military and is gone for years, while Marielle goes on tour. They are torn apart by the circumstances, and while I was happy with the ending, it was too soon. I wanted more details and for the story to continue.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My two favorite stories are by Tamara Ferguson and Jacquie Biggar

Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance: Tamara Ferguson

Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson is one of my favorite stories in this anthology. Ferguson wrote about a teenage couple Eve and Harry. They became close friends and it grew into a loving relationship. Now they had to split ways because they had different careers. Do you remember your high school sweetheart? Can you think about parting ways only to find your way back to them? Will Eve and Harry be able to rekindle their story? This story has a roller coaster ride of emotions. Enjoy Eve and Harry and their special story.

The Player by Jacquie Biggar

This love story is about Roy and Patience. Roy is a NHL player and he had a stalker. Now he was not able to play because of them. There was PA Patience, who helped him with his PR. All Roy wants is to play hockey. There was something innocent about Patience that peaked Roy’s interest. Can there be romance in the PA Patience and NHL Roy? Will Roy allow himself to love Patience? This is a short story but it is well written and captured my attention throughout the whole story.

This was a sweet, quick read. I really liked Marielle and Drew. This is 3rd in the series and i didn’t feel lost but i will go back and read the first two as this was a great story.
They’re both attending music camp in one capacity or another, and they didn’t hit it off right away and later learn it was due to nerves of attraction.
As we move along in their lives, Drew goes to war and is injured and drops contact. But Marielle isn’t taking silence as an answer.
These two were great and I felt i could be friends with everyone in this story.

Sadie grew up alongside her brother’s best friend, Archer. Archer should’ve been like a big brother to her but she never saw him like that. She saw the good in him through everything bad that was happening in her life and he saw her through all the storms she’d been through.
One New Year’s changed everything in their relationship as they knew it. Sadie has been wanting Archer ever since she could remember. She’d been craving for him to notice and want him just as bad as she wanted him. She’d experienced hell in not knowing how to make her dreams a reality as far as he was concerned. As soon as those dreams do become reality, someone was doomed to get hurt and expose their 2AM secrets into the dawn of day.
This story is full of steamy scenes where you’re vying for the characters to get together and you’re rooting for their best interest. This is a great book to read and get into. I couldn’t put this one down. Chapter after chapter, I was glued to the page!

This was the conclusion of James and Sarah’s story which began in ‘Mountains Wanted’ and continued in ‘Mountains Climbed’.“Intended for readers 18+, the first three Mountains Series books must be read in order, as it is James and Sarah’s continuing saga”.
Sociology Professor Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister are finally together having discovered that, “Time doesn’t heal all wounds…LOVE does”. Life has not been easy for either Sarah or James and their relationship has been very rocky from the start even now they are together their relationship is not a conventional one. Having come together as a family with Sarah’s two teenage children they are happily married and even talking about having a baby, but their main concern is whether to have an open or closed marriage having had a polyamorous relationship in the past. Normal everyday pressures along with past issues all put a strain on their relationship. The couple are used to having to climb mountains where their love is concerned but have they now got a rock solid relationship or will it crumble into the sea? No spoilers, but if you have read books one and two you will definitely want to read this fantastically written book and find out their fate.
This is another action packed story by Alexander, full of excitement, emotions, hot steamy sex scenes, romance and everyday relatable issues all of which makes this a book I could not put down.

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3) Anthology – Review by Jana Teppih

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3)IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible Valentine is pages and pages and hours upon hours of goodness aka it is the third instalment in the Irresistible Romance anthology series and is filled with Valentine stories by nine amazing writers – Tamara Ferguson, Natalie Ann, Suzanne Jenkins, Cynthia Cooke, Alicia Street, Jacquie Bigger, Stacy Eaton, Susan Jean Ricci and Patrice Wilton. I love anthologies as they give you a sample of multiple writers so it is a great way of discovering new writers! This is how I had already found quite a few of the writers who contributed to this anthology.
I will share my review for Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance – she is my absolute favorite writer out of all nine writers here! I think I have read every single story she has written and I have not encountered anything that I would not love! Two Hearts’’ Reconnaissance is part of her Two Hearts Wounded Warrior romance series and it is the 13th!!!!!! instalment! (can you just imagine all the goodness you have to look forward to if this is your first encounter with her!) As you can imagine from the title of the series then the stories have a very serious subject matter but I promise you, they are filled with hope and we always get our happy ending!
Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance gives us Eva Loughlin and Harry Giordano who has survived a lot! (Have a box of tissues at hand! You will need it from the start!) There is this amazing connection between them since the moment they met when they were just kids! Life takes them into different directions and as it is with living, there are ups and downs and thorough it all we keep our fingers crossed for a chance for them to find a way back to each other! I also loved learning more about some of the characters that I have read about in the other stories.
There were three writers in the anthology that were new for me and it was Jacquie Biggar’s story the Player that took the cherry! I love sports stories (especially hockey ones) and Jacquie gives us Roy who gets sidelined from NHL thanks to his stalker ex so he ends up needing some little help from a PA Patience … so you can imagine the good laughs and antics and aww moments she mixed up for us and to be frank, I think the story would have deserved to be longer! I for sure will keep my eyes open for more by Jacquie!

This twist on the Wizard of Oz was so much fun to read! It was funny…it was sexy…and I enjoyed it. What if the Wicked witch of the East wasn’t the bad guy and Dorothy wasn’t as innocent as she comes off to be?!? That’s the premise of this story. Add in three hunky guys and you have a story that is full of laughs and hotness!!
I found myself rooting for East in this story and wanting her to see the beauty in herself and not let the opinion of others drag her down. The twist of the Dorothy’s deceit was one that brought a whole new twist to the well-known story. It was a fun read that I found myself chuckling out loud at times.
