Wow! What a great story. In Summer Princess (Dark Fae Book 1) Sloan Murphy gives us everything a great story is made of. Love, revenge, heartache, forgiveness, wild action, and adventure. This book kept me in suspense till the very end and I thought I had it figured out. Let’s just say…. I was caught off guard and can’t wait till I read the next one.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Prophecy Girl by Ravin Maurice seemed a little slow to get started but she builds really good characters and gives us a really well described world. This is Camille’s first client as a private investigator and she doesn’t expect things to get as weird as they get. This was a pretty good book, it certainly kept me turning the pages.

I Loved Loved Loved this read! What a brilliant introduction to this author I sure will be reading more from this author after reading this. This author has created characters that are incredible to read about and follow their undeniable chemistry and connection. This was a steamy romance read that I was unable to put down until the very end. There was also an added level of excitement with it being a forbidden romance, but you couldn’t help but want Sadie & Archer together and to get a HEA. I can’t wait to read more from this author and see where else she take us!

Red Riding Hood (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology – Review by Jonell Collins

Red Riding HoodRed Riding Hood by Autumn Sand
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Red Riding Hood (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology is a book packed with steamy little short stories. Who knew there were so many ways to retell a favorite fairy tale. Memorable is the story called Ruby by Autumn Sand. Our heroine shares the heart ache of breast cancer and divorce. It’s a steamy little story for sure but Ruby shares with us through her story the difficult task of coming to terms with what we think about ourselves.
I think my favorite story of them all was Cloaked by Lia Fairchild. Fairly tame, without all the hot and steamy. What I think I liked best about it was it reminded me more of Romeo and Juliet, just without the senseless tragedy. I came away from that little story with a real good feeling.

Red Riding Hood (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology – Review by Angela Hayes

Red Riding HoodRed Riding Hood by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Red Riding Hood (Down the Rabbit Hole) is a fantastic collection of stories from twelve talented authors who each weave their own version of the classic fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood”. As such, each story is quite individual to the author, having their own unique take on the theme, and creating their own identity, mood and tone within the collection. There is so much to love about this anthology, from being based on a favourite classic- the authors also give us so many genres to enjoy: everything from romance, erotica, BDSM, reverse harem, fantasy, paranormal, psychological, post -apocalyptic, and even a little horror- just to keep things interesting. There is definitely something here to suit everyone. So, do yourself a favour, grab a copy and dive in.
The stories and authors are:

Ruby By: Autumn Sand
Finding Red By: Natalie-Nicole Bates
Cloaked By: Lia Fairchild
The Wolves Den By: Laci Page
Falling For The Hood: A Fairy Tale Retold By: Amy Allen
Redd’s Wolves By: D.A Stein
Little Red’s: A Red Riding Hood Short Story By: Darlene Tallman
River Runs Red By: Kay Elle Parker
Magic of Merlot By: Lorah Jaiyn
Redbourne By: Natalia Schellhaas
Brother Wolfe By: Ceecee Elaine
Waking Red By: Jess Bagnall

The book and stories pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me entertained the whole way through. I kept turning the pages to discover what new situation, genre and characters I would discover next. There were so many varied characters in this anthology- from a cancer survivor, to various shifters, MC bikers, hunters, an actress, Witches, and a wildlife officer, just to name a few.
Some of these authors I know and love, while others are ‘new to me’- which is exciting to find more books and authors to add to my TBR.
If you love the classic “Red Riding Hood” and enjoy a variety of genres and some really well written stories with interesting characters- then this is definitely the book for you!

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
4 Stars!!!!

Once again I have delved into the Lawson family’s world and I was not let down. I was grabbed from page one and eager to see how all would end. I like how the author is able to use the characters pasts and the demons to enhance the story and to bring the characters to life.
I found that the book really had a realistic vibe and that kept my attentions.

The chemistry between Ben and Danielle is quite unique. The way that the whole tension between them builds slow makes for a more enjoyable read and makes things more realistic. I like the fact that their romance doesn’t spark straight away and it builds over time making the book not predictable. I found that the author’s use of his troubles and demons makes him try to not act on his feelings then with Danielle’s lack of self confidence it makes things more relate able. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully this series.

Mountains Series Boxed Set:(Books 1-3) By Phoebe Alexander – Review by Liz Vrchota

Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have absolutely loved reading the Mountains series from Phoebe Alexander. These books ring home for me and I absolutely love reading about alternative lifestyles in a healthy and accurate way. I have included my reviews for each separate book below. I love how this is conveniently in a box set to be enjoyed and gifted now! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next ones in the series!

Mountains Wanted: Book #1~

I sincerely can not say enough good things about Phoebe Alexander’s novels and the way she manages to take a taboo or unfamiliar subject and spin it into the beautiful love stories that she pens. Mountains Wanted is a perfect example of that and a series that I have come to love a lot! These new covers make you want to read the book just from them alone too. In Mountains Wanted we get the story of Dr. Sarah Lynde, a single mum of two and a professor. We also get a glimpse of her polyamory way of life that she lives with her beaus that come into play, James McAllister and others that will come into the picture as well.

I adored how this was so real and raw. I personally live a poly lifestyle so for me this book was such a close hit home. Communication is something that we are always working on, 24/7/365 it is very necessary part of the polyamorous life. You get that from reading Sara’s story and can see how things work a lot like they would in a traditional or mainstream relationship, just multiplied by the amount of people that you find your soul connected to.

One note I want to make is that this book is the beginning of a fabulous series and this story will not wrap up in Mountains Wanted. You will want to read the next book and the next I can promise you that but just a heads up because I know some like to start series all together. I can’t wait to dive in deeper in the next book, Mountains Climbed!

Mountains Climbed: Book #2 ~

I can’t believe that I am about to say this but the Mountains series from Phoebe Alexander is quickly becoming my favorite of hers. That is super hard for me to say because I adored her Eastern Shore Swingers series so much it became a regular read in my life.

With the Mountains series we get to see more of the hot and emotional romance that we have come to expect and love from Alexander. I absolutely adore that she takes an unconventional lifestyle and makes it seem so well, conventional. The emotions and the life changes that happen to the characters become extremely deep and embedded in your soul as you read. I walked away from this book feeling as if Sarah was very real and a much loved person I wish I could meet. The supporting characters get more of a voice in this book, especially James and boy do I love that man. So much emotions got brought to the surface and I can’t wait to see what will come next in the third book!

Mountains Loved: Book #3~

I have to say I am so freaking grateful for the realistic and accurate as well as detailed alternative lifestyle stories we get from Phoebe Alexander. She will always bring the sass, drama, and realness with her novels and I have never been more grateful to see some literature that I personally can relate to on a personal level like I do with her novels. This book did all of these things and more, keeping me on the edge of my seat to find out which fork in the road our characters will take and the consequences that come with those choices.

Mountains Loved in the third book in her Mountains series and so far now my new favorite, which is hard for me to say since I adored the second book too! DO NOT read these books out of order! I sincerely feel like you would be missing so much that makes these storylines flow if you did so. The story progresses and follows through each consecutive book. The story will provoke feelings in you that you didn’t know you had the capacity to feel for someone who is ‘made up.’ I found myself both chuckling and tearing up at many points and I just love a book that makes me want to crawl into my bed deeper and get lost in the world I am reading about. The Mountains series will take you there far away to the mountains where you will fall in love all over again. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next books!

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – Review by Lianne Probert

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Benjamin Lawson is a rockstar. He loves to perform, but faces many battles away from the stage. He is a recovering alcoholic who just wants to keep his visitation rights to see his daughter.
Danielle is set the task of ‘babysitting’ Ben, keeping him away from trouble and alcohol.
The main characters in this story are full of depth. The author really takes the time to help the reader get to know them. I really appreciate this as it helps me become even more invested. The story is a slow burner romance wise, and by the end you are really rooting for these guys!
I will definitely read the other books in the Lawson Family series.

2am Secrets2am Secrets by M. Piper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! I didn’t realize how much I needed a hot steamy and funny read until I finished 2am Secrets by M. Piper. I had read some heavy books up until this one and it was a breath of light fresh air when I least expected it. I wasn’t sure what I would get because I have not read M. Piper previous to this novel, but I knew from the sexy and bright cover and the blurb I would probably be pleasantly surprised, and I was so glad to say that I was! This book had it all and was written with finesse and passion that just jumped off the kindle screen into my head as if I was right there with the characters.

This may be an age old story line, girl falls in love with her best friend’s brother but he is off limits, but it is written in a way that still seemed fresh and relevant to now. I found myself laughing out loud and fanning myself as I read several times. The two main characters, Sadie and Archer are amazing and strong in each their own ways which makes them and their story more reasonable and believable. I loved how it ended and I am so looking forward to going to find out what else is already available by M. Piper while I anxiously await the newest thing from her!

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson – Review by Liz Vrchota

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9)Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am such a sucker for Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series. I have yet to read one by her that I didn’t fall completely head over heels in love with and TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES is no exception to the rule. I adore that she keeps her stories realistic and reasonable but real and raw. Often there is some sort of touch wounded warrior stuff that can be a heavy topic to discuss or write about but Tamara does it flawlessly and with a passion that is evident from the very first page until the bittersweet last few words.

In TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES we get the story of Sam and Ben. Sam was attacked brutally and lost some of her friends as well as gained injuries in a convoy attack. One of the men that was with her, the one who made sure to save her life, is Ben. These two find themselves thrust into each others lives and what ensues is some pretty awesome story to read! I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Tamara Ferguson!

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly – Review by Jenni Bishop

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a story immersed in emotion and is a beautifully written tale. I’ve been waiting for Ben’s story, the characters are complex and deep yet they are loveable with their flaws and all. Tracey gives us a look into the life of a rock star and addiction, second chances and new beginnings, love and family.

Ben is a rocker and wants nothing more than to have his baby girl in his life. Unfortunately his life is not all candy and roses. When his new PA comes into the picture she deals with everything, but sometimes that is not enough but knowing what you want and what you need and that they are right in front of you even if you can’t see it is something else.

Tracey took us on a beautiful journey and I loved that we got to catch up with the characters from the previous books. I look forward to Carly’s book next!

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rockin’ It Home is the third book in the Lawson Family series from Tracey Cramer-Kelly, and probably my favorite so far. I love how even though this is an orginial story line of a rocker gone rogue needing to clean up his image and falling in love, it still feels like it stands on its own and shines. The story that Tracey Cramer-Kelly has woven is a beautiful one that will draw on your heartstrings and get you cheering for the happily ever after to come. I loved how this was still an emotional story but read fast and didn’t take me forever to wade through. It was a nice smooth read and I found myself finishing it in one sitting.

Benjamin Lawson needs to get his act together for the one person that matters and is left in his life, his daughter. He has some added benefit of Danielle DeLuca to try and fix his rocker image and his father vibes. Will sparks between the two cause more drama or will it help? Then there is a small twist of suspense and intrigue thrown in when we are introduced to a zealous fan of Benjamin’s. I loved this installment and I am so looking forward to seeing what will come next in the following novels!

Out Of The ShadowsOut Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Out of the Shadows by Theresa Sederholt is a well written book everyone should give a chance.

Dane has a horrific secret. Not only is he ashamed, he knows that exposing his secret comes with great risk. Unfortunately, he can’t keep his secret anymore and he may lose the very person he was protecting because of it.

I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this book but it was such a deep story. This book was very well written given the subject matter. It really shed light on the lack of resources for men who are victims of domestic violence. It’s really easy to forget that women aren’t the only victims and this book did a great job addressing such a difficult subject. I highly recommend this book!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Kiss Beneath A Strawberry Moon is a wonderful sweet romance story by Tamara Ferguson. My usual genre is romance that is a bit more dirty but I have really become a fan of Tamara Ferguson’s sweet romances set in Dragonfly Pointe.
As with many of the others that I have read this is not a full length novel but Ferguson packs so much into her stories that you are not left wanting.
In this book Marielle, an aspiring singer, meets Drew, an up and coming songwriter at a summer camp for aspiring musicians. Both have wonderful futures ahead of them. Marielle is destined to become a huge star and Drew wants to go to college and then into teaching. Both are devoted to each other and are determined to spend their lives together but fate steps in the way. A family disagreement causes Drew to drop out of college and join the military where he is badly injured.
I loved this story of young love. Drew and Marielle are so sweet and their love for each other is so strong. What will happen when Marielle becomes a huge star? How will Drew cope with his injuries and disfigurement and will Marielle still want him? Read this wonderful sweet romance story and see how Drew and Marielle fall in love and how the cope with the dramas that life throws at them.

I loved reading the story Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn. It is the next book in the amazing Ash Park series. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. The story had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. In this book, Detective Petrosky is called to the home of a boy who, for all appearances, has committed suicide. What he finds is a family that is acting strangely. While everyone deals with death differently the detective can’t help but hear red flags going up in his head. Now the suicide has turned into a murder and it is up to the detective to uncover the clues as to why the boy was killed. The investigation will lead Petrosky down a path of other abductions. Will the killer be caught? Read this book to find out. This story had me reading far into the night as I just had to find out how it all ends up. Detective Petrosky is a character that is haunted by the past and at times he is at war with himself. He blames himself for his daughter’s murder and also fighting to hold on to his sanity. He is a character that I always root for as he follows his instincts to solve crimes. This book has twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. It has an atmosphere of suspense that seems very real. The author does an amazing job of making it feel like you are right there with the detective putting together the clues. Don’t miss out on this story. Highly recommended reading.

How Could I Forget (Plentiful in Love Book 1) by N.D. Jackson is a wonderfully written story that I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. I was pulled in from the beginning and pretty much fell in love with the characters of Kayla and Dan. All the characters are very well developed and easily relatable and the story just flowed. Kayla and Dan both had secret crushes on one another and neither one knew. There definitely was attraction and made for one another. Dan and Kayla had one steamy night together before they both went their separate ways after college. He pretty much had given up hope he would find her or run into her at some point. Boy when he did finally see her. What he over heard will change his life forever. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author

Rockin It Home is the third novel in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly.

Ben Lawson who is not happy about having a babysitter. But it’s the only way to keep himself off the alcohol to keep his visitation rights in order to see his daughter.

Danielle isn’t too thrilled about being his personal assistant either, but accepts the position because work is hard to get.

Will Ben find himself in other ways besides being on stage and find a family with Danielle?

I really love this series and look forward to meeting new members of the family and their stories.

The plot was easy to follow and the relationship progression between Ben and Danielle was nice paced and didnt feel like it moved too fast. I felt for Ben and his struggles and rooted for him to overcome them.

This was a fantastic series. I loved all three books, my review is on Mountain Loved.
This is the continued story of Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. This I think was the hardest book to read, as James and Sarah still have struggles. Don’t get me wrong. All relationships have struggles, we have all been there. But for Sarah and James, this is a whole new struggle. Learning to be honest and communication is a real struggle. James sure tried, Sarah and even my patience. So having said that let’s throw in some polyamorous and see who talks first. This is where open communication happens. Do you think these two can get through this? Can Sarah and James work together to climb yet another mountain? Recover and still love each other?

Phoebe Alexander has written yet another book that tore my heart out. I think this series gave so much to their story. You can’t help but fall in love with her characters. Phoebe Alexander writes of strong women, who fight for what they want. She also writes from her heart. This series hit so many feelings. Happy, sad, anger, and communication, let’s not forget trust. This series is for those over 18. Take a chance and give this some reading. Remember to read the series in order. Thank You Phoebe Alexander!!

This boxset was fantastic. It is a must read, and I loved every one of the books in this set. The author has a great writing style and the series is well written and emotional in such a good way. The main characters in these stories are Sarah and James. The moutains they have to climb and the problems they face along the way. They have such a fierce attraction between the two of them, but it seems that there is a challenge around every corner. With each challenge, the two pull together and have to decide if the struggles and the HEA they seek will be worth it in the end.
I would recommend this boxset to anyone that loves romance and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2am Secrets by M. Piper was a really enjoyable read. It follows the romance of Sadie and Archer, who finally give into their long-felt feelings for each other, while trying to keep it secret from Sadie’s twin brother Sam, who happens to be Archers best friend.

Sam’s overprotectiveness and self-destructive nature as well as the ill health of Sadie’s beloved grandmother means that there was never any chance that their love would be straightforward.

I really liked this book, it isn’t your standard happy every after, it touches on a range of issues such as addiction and bereavement and the impact that this can have on those around you. This was the first book I have read by this author, but I will definitely be reading more.

Rockin' It Home (Lawson Family #3)Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rockin’ It Home is the third book in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly and I loved this book

Ben is trying to get his life together after hitting rock bottom. He doesn’t need much to he happy, put him on stage in front of a crowd is the easiest way. But the demands of being a recovering alcoholic while on the road touring are more than one person can and should handle. This is where Danielle comes in.

I enjoyed almost everything about Ben and Danielle’s story, especially how Rick Springfield is connected. This old lady has some fond memories of Mr. Springfield from my childhood and I did find myself getting a bit giddy thinking about him.

Ben has been through so much through this series and I’m so glad he finally removed his head and allowed himself to be happy since it’s much deserved.

Can’t wait for the next book in this series so I can find out what’s going on with the family.

What will happen when he finds out that there are a lot more kidnapped children? Will he catch this person before any more children are lost? The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat as well as turning pages fast. This is an awesome must read story that you won’t regret picking up. I love this story. Its a classic story of two people who have loved each other for years but have never admitted it.

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7)) by Meghan O’Flynn
Genre – Hard-boiled detective/crime thriller
Page Count – 290 pages
“Little Greggie” Boyle was the amazing reappearing child—a boy kidnapped and returned to his parents after five years in captivity. So what would make him take his own life? That’s the question hanging over Detective Petrosky’s head.
It seems straightforward: the teenager was found suspended from the rafters in the foyer of his parents’ home, a rope around his neck. No signs of struggle. No note, though that isn’t uncommon despite what Hollywood says—those movie nitwits don’t know real crime from their left elbows.
But something is wrong. The victim’s parents are stonewalling the police, and Gregory’s brother is cagey—even a little creepy. None of them seem interested in finding out what drove Gregory to kill himself. Or maybe they know something Petrosky doesn’t. Then forensic evidence turns the case on its head: the boy was drugged. The death wasn’t a suicide at all. Perhaps the kidnappers came back to make sure he stayed quiet…permanently.
As the investigation continues, a darker pattern of abductions begins to emerge. Gregory wasn’t the only child taken, and it appears the kidnapper is cleaning house—are any of the other victims still alive? One thing seems clear: Petrosky and his partner aren’t just hunting a killer; they’re looking for more bodies. If they don’t hurry, the man who murdered Gregory Boyle will rip other children from their families—kids who will never again come home.
And more dead children, especially on the anniversary of his daughter’s grisly murder, is more than Detective Petrosky can handle. He needs to catch the killer and ensure no more children fall prey to this maniac before he loses his own tenuous grasp on sanity.
Fiendishly clever, unique, and replete with twists and turns that keep readers glued to the pages, Imposter is a fast-paced crime thriller in the vein of Sidney Sheldon, Tana French, and Dean Koontz’s Jane Hawk series.
