My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Impact, by Autumn Sands is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story and can be read as a standalone. I have yet to read the other 3, but they are currently ready and waiting on kindle. Rewind by Rowan Shaw – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Rewind (Rewind #1)Rewind by Rowan Shaw
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

REWIND is Rowan Shaw’s debut novel that simply was a powerful and moving read. The author has given us a story where two characters have found love but also dealt with family and homophobic society. Every character that was given to us were so well created and a story line that drew me into this M/M romance. The author and her amazing writing was able to pull so many emotions from me, sadness, happiness, and angry that truly made this story stand out and PULL me into a one sitting read.
The story follows Florian and Enzo who dated in high school and tragedy tore them apart. Then fate brings them together and that SPARK is still there. Both still hurt from what is happening in their lives they are not sure if what they are feeling is rebound, they build a friendship.
This book simply had enough romance, drama, and darkness. I highly recommend this book and really cannot wait to read more from this author!

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Little Miss Eyes of BlueLittle Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a prequel to the stand alone book called The Woman America Loves a Latte. Veloura’s parents are Paul and Marla and the story starts out with how they met and married. Paul’s family was not fond of her and never showed to the wedding. Paul wants to make it in the country music scene and fails until he writes a song about his daughter called “Little Miss Eyes of Blue” The family goes on vacation to celebrate and this is where Marla finds drugs and starts the downfall of this little family. Paul finds and falls in love with a younger woman, and disappears. Marla doesn’t raise her daughter well and has a trail of loser men around Veloura. She learns her father died and finally her mother gets help for her addiction but Veloura still finds herself judged for the mistakes of her parents. As her life can’t seem to get worse she learns that her mother died from an overdose. As the book comes to an end we see that Veloura also will make the same mistakes as he mother when it comes to her love life.
The book was hard to read as the life that Veloura was handed was a rough one for a child. She was not given a life that would show her to be a decent person and didn’t bring anyone into her life to show her the right path. My heart broke for her and I wanted to get inside this book and smack her parents. I read the book The Woman who America loves Latte and I am glad that is how I read it. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it!

The Woman who America loves Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a FUN read to get lost in. Veloura hasn’t always had an easy live and has followed her into adulthood. She was settling so much less then she deserves. Almost accidently, Veloura lands a job that allows her to be a spokesperson for a coffee chain and allowing her to travel around the country. Her future could be so lively but her dark past seems to follow her no matter where she goes.
Holly has given us an amazing story with amazing characters. Each character introduced whether big or small was complex and always made the story that much interesting. The book gives you drama, suspense, and intrigue that really draws you in which as A READER I find very important in any good book. I give this book 5 stars and so look forward to reading more from this amazing author!!

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster Book 2) By Kelly Mooney – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster #2)Me and Cinderella by Kelly Mooney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Me and Cinderella by Kelly Mooney is the second book in the Dirty Rooster Series and so worth reading! I could not put this BOOK DOWN!!! Eli left Sugar Creek years ago and vowed to never come back, he would never end up like his parents, and he would never have Remington no matter how much he loved and longer for her. When he finds out his father is getting out of prison, he heads back to Sugar Creek to help his little brother. Once back, Remington enters his life again and their story is an emotional read. I don’t want to give spoilers so I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
Kelly Mooney gave us a book that holds you and plants you right in the middle of Elis and Remington’s story and life. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I rate this book 5 stars and I wish I could double that! Simply an amazing read!

His First Lady by Avery Scott – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

His First LadyHis First Lady by Avery Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

His First Lady by Avery Scott, is an amazing read that shows even when something is supposed to stay fake, chemistry and passion can draw two together and not be anything near fake. Michael is a senior congressman and Presidential hopeful who has already been divorced twice and has a reputation of a ladies man. Many of his campaign people think that this could be damning to him and they decide that having a “first lady” will help him in many ways. That is where his new speech writer, Kendall comes in. Add in chemistry and a touch of drama and see what happens when things aren’t as fake as what they both think it is.
Avery Scott gave us a well written story with amazing characters. Me as a reader loves stories like this and it did not disappoint. I love that Avery gave us a story that pushes her characters to the wall and out of their confront zones. I give this book 4 stars and would love to read more from this author in the futures.

Captivated by the Millionaire by Nina Singh – Review By Heidi Eich Woodring

Captivated By The Millionaire (Mills & Boon True Love)Captivated By The Millionaire by Nina Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Captivated by the Millionaire by Nina Singh give us a storyline that I adore. The odd couple that no one thinks will work and when they do, the sparks fly and the attraction is through the roof. This book has everything that a romance reader will love. The sweetness, the drama, and the angst that we all love. A lot of the drama following the two leads in this story stemmed from miscommunications and misunderstandings that got to me but I still found myself unable to put the book down and was drawn into the storyline. I am new to this author and would for sure read more from her in the future.

Jessalyn, a free spirit artist who has had her fair share of heartache so she throws her compassionate loving self into the work at the Children’s Centre. She is a free spirit and she loves that about herself. Jordon, a millionaire from New York, has his life turned upside down when he becomes the guardian of his little sister Sonya. He doesn’t have the time to raise a child, he doesn’t have the time to give a home, and he certainly does not have the faith in ladies to give Sonya an environment that she needs. A encounter with Jessalyn, he finds himself unable to stop thinking about her. No matter what happens, these two always seem to be running in to each other. What happens when two people not looking for love, are drawn to eachother!!

North to Nara (Crimson Sash Book 1) By Amanda Marin – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

North to Nara (Crimson Sash, #1)North to Nara by Amanda Marin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

North to Nara (Crimson Sash 1) By Amanda Marin was unlike anything I have read before. The way the author grabbed me with her words, her world she created, and such amazing characters I was able to get lost so easily in this amazing world. The society of this book really is what helped draw me in, as it is a dystopian world. I loved the heartbreak, I loved the heartwarming, I loved feeling like I was right in the middle of this amazing book.
When Neve is given her empath is quickly retired, she is given Micah. As they grow closer, she knows that behind his smile, there is a story that tells a tale of loneliness and sadness. She knows empaths are not given the life of love and she has to decide does she follow her heart or the love of her nation?

Not many words stay with me, but, Behind the beauty is heartache…unless their love can save them, has become a favorite quote. An amazing five star read that I HIGHLY recommend.

LOVE on the LINE, A Great Expectations Love Story: The Graykens, Book 2 by Laurie Lewis – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

LOVE on the LINE (Great Expectations Love Stories: The Graykens Book 2)LOVE on the LINE by Laurie Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love on the Line (Great Expectations Love Stories: The Graykens Book Two) By Laurie Lewis is the sequel to Love on a Limb. I adored the first book and without question had to read this one. Matt and Mikaela made me feel such emotion in the first book and continues when I started reading this book.

Matt and Mikaela had a love right from the start and love blossomed even after marriage. Matt is so over cancer and trying to find his siblings. Mikaela finds the sister that so needs. Through the ups and the downs, these two characters will make you feel an array of emotion an so simply drag you into the world they live.

Laurie Lewis again gives us readers a roller-coaster so worth the ride and the emotional hangover, I simply love everything the about the characters, the writing style, and hope to read more from the author.

Vantage Point (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 4) by Amy McKinley – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Vantage Point (Gray Ghost #4)Vantage Point by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Vantage Point, book 4 in the Gray Ghost Novel series, by Amy McKinley, follows my favorite character, Hawk. When it comes it missions, he is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get job done but when it comes to his love life, he always plays on the safe side of things. Stella, his neighbor is being thrown into world of searching for her families’ treasure. One night, Hawk hears a fight with Stella and instantly he is worried for her safety. Hawk, knowing he can keep her safe, does what he needs to do. Lies, enemies, and secrets follow these two, but will these two find a happy ending?

I grow to love each Gray Ghost novel but Hawk, there is something about him. I could close my eyes while reading and picture him on his job, I could picture him caring for Stella. I love Amy McKinley’s attention to detail and a way that the story just drags me in and doesn’t let me go. Another great read in an amazing series! FIVE STARS!!

Yearning Young (Burning Britely #2) by Deidre Huesmann – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Yearning Young (Burning Britely #2)Yearning Young by Deidre Huesmann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yearning Young, Burning Britley Book Two, by Deidre Huesmann is the second book in this series and is in Braeden’s point of view as where book one was in Jeff’s point of view.

Braeden has always been popular, always seemed put together. Behind the scenes Braeden is dealing with a mother who abuses pills, a father who enables his mother, and Braeden always protecting his siblings. Jeff comes into his life and Braeden falls. His falling for Jeff caused him to be expelled and his less then understanding friends not wanting to understand sexuality and his relationships with Jeff. All the negative is not helping the fears Braeden has venturing into the unknown with Jeff. Quickly things heat up with Jeff and they get closer, which only brings more questions and fears with Braeden.

This is a book and series that is raw and a coming of age about two boys learning about each other and guiding through a new relationship that many don’t or won’t understand. I simply loved diving into the world of Jeff and Braeden, the only issue I had was the book was not as long as I would have liked. I like a lengthier story when I feel such a connection to the characters and the storyline. This is a well written book that I highly recommend.

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Burning BritelyBurning Britely by Deidre Huesmann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann is a coming of age Male/Male young adult LGBT romance. A shorter read, but does not take away the impact of the book or subject of the book. I think Huesmann has written a book that adults, teens, and tweens could learn a lot from. From the two main characters questioning their place in this world to bringing to life what many are facing in high school as they grow and find just who they are becoming. I highly recommend this book and give it a BRIGHT FIVE STAR rating.
Jeff is your local high school outcast who is selected to be the tutor to Braeden, the local popular and town athletic star. What both don’t see in the beginning is that through this tutoring a friendship between them develops. As they both grow closer, Jeff sees that there is more beneath of the surface of what Braeden shows everyone. Even worse, Jeff starts to fall for the VERY STRAIGHT star of the town and school.
This raw and real book is part one in a two book series and I for one cannot wait to dive into the next one!

Feathers: A Novel by Kylie Stewart is an amazing story with such a journey that has left a mark in my mind and my heart. Charlotte has endured so much in her life, so much pain, loneliness, due to her mothers boyfriend that sold her for drugs. A gang kept her for a year, treating her so horribly and finally she was sold and was able to escape the hell she endured. Being free Charlotte vowed and made a promise to herself to never love a man, and then Hawk comes into her life. They both find trusting each other easy, after both having issues and fears. As time goes by, the passion, the caring, and the trusting builds. But both being jaded, the questions will raise, can they overcome the past to lead to a beautiful future together.

This 5 star read was intense, emotional, dark, and one that I SIMPLY LOVED and did not want to put it down. The journey both take was real and so raw. From the dark subjects, to the passion, to the steamy scenes, I just wanted to stay lost in the land of Hawk and Charlotte. Kylie Stewart really gave us a read that will leave its mark. The characters, the meaning of feathers, the story line simply are SUPERB! I will be waiting and watching for WINGS!!!

Salvation: An Ash Park Novella By Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Heidi Eich Woodring

Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella (Ash Park, #0.5)Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn shows us just where the Ash Park series began. When Edward joined the military, he knew what he wanted and needed to calm the things around him and then one night his life comes crashing down when he finds his love, his life Heather killed. Slowly things don’t make sense about her murder and when another body is found he then knows that Heathers murder was not an isolated attack. Edward now must take decide if he ruins his career to bring justice to the one he loved and along the way finds he’s not the only one who wants justice for these killings.

This Novella was really a way to get into Edward more, and he is a character that has stayed with me since reading the Ash Park series. Being able to read what drove him and his need for justice kept me still wanting more and more. Meghan O’FLynn truly is an amazing story teller, attention to detail, and her words that drag you right into story and don’t let you go. She kept me guessing to the very end and again we learn that in Ash Park not everyone is innocent!!! Five stars again!!!
