I have been seeing this series circulate my social media pages and book review group, but I thought that it wouldn’t be of interest to me because of the age group targeted, and myself not having anything experience wise to relate at all, but how wrong I was. I ended up picking up another Marika Ray Novel, and I loved it, so when I saw this book come up again I immediately wanted to read it. I now have to play catch up with book 1 and book 2. I started with book 3, and while there were references to previous books in the series and the characters were the same, the main characters were the focus of the story, I still would recommend reading the books in order, although I didn’t feel lost or anything, I definitely felt like I was missing out on vital information. Night Sweats and Hockey Mets has a few familiar tropes such as grumpy/sunshine, the ever popular hockey star, both parties fight their attraction, single dad needs a nanny, but also some fresher tropes as well like characters over 40, plus size and confident, etc. Between Nikos random Russian sayings, and Chloe’s confident flirting I found myself laughing out loud at the banter between the characters. I also found myself truly not enjoying Peyton and her attitude. This was a wonderful read, a fun, cozy romance, and you can’t go wrong with a Marika Ray novel and now I’ve been introduced to a new author, Sylvie Stewart, as well.

All of the books by this author include foster children and the things they can achieve if only given a chance. In Cam Creates a Hero he sees that not everyone is as fortunate as he is in finding his family, even going so far as to have been abused by their family. Cam wants to come up with a hero that can help anyone in need. After staying up all night Cam is disappointed in his and his siblings attempt to do this, so back to the drawing board he goes, and his perseverance pays off. It’s such a cute and inspiring story that will remind kids that compassion, courage, and perseverance really makes a difference. Having a hero will really help children navigate through the rough patches in their lives. The illustrations were well done and depicted the scenes beautifully. I appreciated the thought put into this book and the lessons it will teach.

Sarge, going deep is a science fiction adventure story of Lieutenant Commander T J Madison, also called Sarge. I have not read the book about Mission 3047, where he was first introduced. This book is more about his personal life, his struggles, his character and his ability to overcome all challenges. With his determination and perseverance, he became a Navy seal, falls in love with a woman, marries her, comes to US and becomes a part of the secret Agency and the person he shaped himself to be in the Mission 3047. I did struggle a bit to understand the context but overall was able to grasp the bigger picture. I enjoyed the book.

Will Abby be able to continue on the path she envisioned alone or will some friends help her through this difficult time?
This is a story about a small town life that has deep roots and memories. The book is a wholesome story of people and friends who support you at your lowest moments.

This was a good 5 star read. This is part a series but can be read as a stand alone. This is Barrett and Agata’s story. Both characters have a history of being hurt so they are very cautious when it comes to others. But there is something between them that they can’t resist. Barrett is working on a case and Agata seems to be in some of the same places he is. Will these two have a HEA after everything is done? Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get twists and turns and the storyline had a great element to it. If you are looking for a good series to read, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

What a great YA story! A Tale of Two Crushes is a cute, clean romance. The main character, Holland, moves to a new city with her family and falls for twins! The characters and their relationships (romantic and platonic) were very relatable. The relationship between Asher and Holland made me smile constantly, it really reminded me of a first love story. Holland seems very obsessed with emotions and feelings to the point they become overbearing. Overall a great read.

This cover is so peaceful and having read previous instalments I was quite eager to settle down and get lost between the pages ❣️📚😉

Barrett Brockbank has 2 things to deal with in life right now , one is business and one is personal . Business wise , he’s in New Orleans tying up ends for clients that just won a big case against Blue Point Chemical and on a personal level he’s got decide where his life is heading , he can’t keep licking his wounds , his fiancé married his best friend and his dreams were shattered but he knows he’s got to move on …,

While in New Orleans he gets a job offer and while it’s a good opportunity for a fresh start he can’t just accept and family obligations “ tie “ him down and then his path crosses with Lou….

Lou is hiding from her last so she’s careful around people but when her path crosses with Barrett’s she feels he’s good people and doesn’t everyone crave to be live and accepted 🤷‍♀️ these 2 people that know hurt can heal other if given the chance

My empathic heart was very fragile after this read but I think that’s what makes this story so relatable you feel it and you feel the people and you keep rooting for them 😉

This is a generally cute story about a pig scramble. The illustrations are beautiful. The story covers themes of determination, showing kindness, mild bullying, and forgiveness. The story jumps right in with the pig scramble which made me wonder if I had missed something, so I admit I read the book twice in a row to make sure I really got the whole story. I really appreciated it so much more the second time. This would be a great book for older elementary aged kiddos.

Unmasking A Cowgirl by Rachelle Paige Campbell is the third book in a series called Match Made in Montana Book 3. It is a sweet love story that takes place in a small town in Montana. With it being the third book in the series, I sometimes worry that I won’t know the story. I did not feel this way at all! I was able to piece together the prior stories, and I definitely think it could be read out of order. Joe is a teacher and working on writing a book on the history of Herd, the small town in Montana. Abby runs a food truck, and is planning on opening a restaurant in the future. Abby has a secret that threatens to ruin her relationship with not only Joe, but several of the townspeople that she has become friends with. Such a cute story and one that I would definitely recommend!

This is a second chance at love full of tears and laughter. Tommy Graham was about to hit it big with his band Koolum Law. Years pass before the two run into each other again at the wedding of Angie’s best friend Calle. Tragedy strikes right after the wedding and Angie’s husband is killed. Tommy is there for Angie over the next few weeks and he starts to catch feelings for Angie again even though he has a girlfriend. Tommy ends up being trapped in a marriage with Chelsea. Their marriage is far from a fairytale. Tommy finally has had enough with his cheating wife and he files for divorce and takes his son Ozzie back to Tommy’s hometown of Braebeach. Could this be Tommy’s chance to fall in love with Angie again? Did he truly ever stop loving her?
This book was AMAZING! I cried, I laughed, and most importantly the author had me feeling like I was a character right in the middle of the story!!

Tommy and Angie went their separate ways right as Tommy’s band, Koolum Law, is taking off. Fast forward and one is married (on the verge of divorce) with a young son and one is widowed taking care of her own child. The two reconnect and build a friendship where they can lean on each other for emotional support. Underneath it all, they are being reminded of why they loved each other all those years ago. However, dealing with a crazy ex, people out to make a quick buck, and a past filled with many emotions creates quite the hurdles to overcome.

I felt for these characters. Angie has been through so much and has grown and persevered while trying to heal. Tommy’s dealing with his own troubles…bot in his marriage and with his band. These two rebuild a friendship that is stronger than anything they had in the past. I found myself immersed in their story and couldn’t put it down. They are dealing with adult problems that make you feel like they could be someone you know. Can’t wait to see what this series has in store next.

It encourages kind and playful interactions between siblings and is just beautiful, light-hearted, and colorful book!

Niko is a loner on his pro hockey team and never really associates with the other guys on the team. Chloe is the coaches daughter who had decided she was tired of missing out on life and wants to have fun while also using her talents in the rink to teach kids how to play hockey. Part of her choice of having fun includes flirting, heavily, with Niko. While coach has deemed her off limits, Niko can’t seem to help himself when it comes to her charm and beauty.

Chloe is drawn to Niko’s grumpy personality, and when she finds out part of his grump factor comes from being in the midst of a court battle for custody of his daughter, she offers to help. The offer comes just as he needs to find a nanny for his daughter Ayana to prove to the court that he can provide proper care for her with his professional hockey schedule. So, before they know they have too much time to think about it, Niko and Chloe come up with a plan and Chloe moves in with Niko and Ayana. Before he knows it, Niko’s house has been taken over by Chloe’s beauty, warmth and personality. The rest of this wonderfully written story is a whirlwind of chemistry, spice and ends with a wonderful HEA.

This is book 3 in a series but can be read as a standalone.

This was a cute little story about a group of kids trying to catch a pig. I think it showed how anything can be accomplished if you don’t give up. It also shows how a child can use a situation where someone is trying to intimidate them to their advantage by motivating them to succeed. I think many kids would enjoy this book and recommend it for them.

We all want our kids to be best friends and this sweet read helps us broach the subject of all the ways they can be as they grow together.

I can’t say if the books in this series can be read as standalones as I have started on book six which most times is not a good thing as there could be great background information that I have missed out on. This book has plenty of twists and turns some may be somewhat of a surprise. We also have some tragedy and betrayal; I also like the writing style of this author, which by the way this is the first book I have read by her. Kat and her brother Nat were brought up by their maternal grandma after their parents died in an accident before Kats’s first birthday. Now they have lost their grandma as well. Their grandma has left her home equally to both Kat and Nat and named him as Kat’s guardian. Kat is now 15, Nat is away in the army so until they can get hold of Nat she needs to be placed in care, as this will be a temporary placement, what could go wrong? Plenty is the answer. Kat reports that the foster parent’s son had exposed himself to her instead of being mad at their son, they were mad at Kat, so she left for school and never returned to the home. This home will now be investigated as its suitability for other children to be placed there. If that is not enough for a 15-year-old to go through she is an unfortunate witness to a murder. Kat is placed under social worker Maddi’s care, while Maddi not only needs to protect Kat but is also working to reunite Kat with her brother so she can be safe in her own home. This is a book for budding love as we find Nat falling in love with Maddi, but is Maddi able to return the feelings? Grab a copy of this book to find out what happens with Kat, Nat, and Maddi.

This is a really cute kids book about becoming a big brother. I really enjoyed the focus on all of the positives of becoming an older sibling while sneaking in some fun “naughty” bits (like not eating your peas). The illustrations are nice and bright and they follow the story line well. This is the story of an older brother/younger brother combination so I feel that it is limited to that specific audience. Overall, I really liked the vibe of the story and the message.

A little slow to start but I overall very good. I love the semi-enemies turned couple twist to the family redemption story. Reminded me a bit of a hallmark movie though which is why I gave the 4 stars. Not a whole lot of grit to it.

This is a very easy fun read to occupy your mind from the reality of life. It does have humorous parts, and some seriousness to the story. The author does well in having the main characters, and even the minor ones, complement each other really well. I love how the other characters in the previous books are intertwined in this book, however little it may be. Overall, it’s a very great read.
