I really enjoyed stepping into Clover Bay. A very tight knit community where the only newcomers are tourists. Jody is a mess. She can’t or won’t keep a job, lives with her sister and is considered the screw up of the family. A call comes that her grandmother has fallen and needs help running her little cafe. Jody goes, with doubts galore. No one every relies on her, she can’t follow through and always drops the ball. Her grandmother believes she will do great. All she must do is take care of customers, clean up, ooohh and bake. Adam delivers packages for Clover Bay and helps Jody’s grandmother. He was the one to make the call to have a family member come help. His heart has been broken before by an outsider. He holds Jody at arms length but goes out of his way to help to make sure the café runs smoothly, including teaching Jody to bake. Jody grows up so much, learning to rely on herself and that she doesn’t have to be the family screw-up. Jody and Adam have such a great connection, but can they overcome the roadblocks that just keep popping up? I loved this read. Thank you, Danielle Jacks!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming sports romance which had me hooked from start to finish. The storyline centred around the poster boy for English cricket, the English vice-Captain Claude de Lussan and the women who loves him Delilah Taylor. Claude is rich, smart, handsome, and a great cricketer all of which also makes him slightly arrogant. Delilah’s whole existence revolves around the vice-Captain and after a thrilling and exciting summer with him she finds herself married and then divorced from Claude, who she knows doesn’t love her back. When he enters Delilah‘s world again years later they have a second chance at their relationship but they have many old hurts, resentments and misunderstandings to resolve if they are to have a future together. This story introduced me to the world of English cricket and the players which I found fascinating. The story flowed well and the plot kept me happily turning the pages. I felt immersed in Delilah and Claude’s world as the descriptive narrative made both the setting and the characters come to life for me. I also found the main characters to be likeable and relatable which helped me feel engaged with them and I found myself cheering them on, hoping they would both get their happy ever after.

I absolutely love a holiday romance story, even if it is in July and I love reading stories by this author! Her books never fail to entertain me and leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved Holly! She was such a wonderful character to read about, such a genuine and realistic character to read about. I was really invested in the characters story. The authors attention to detail means that her stories are really brought to life and I often feel like I can envisage them as a movie. This was a wonderful romance read and one that I would definitely recommend to other readers! I look forward to more from this author in the future.
Taking Flight was a wonderful read. I was completely hooked from beginning to end. The author’s writing was amazing and the story was so easy to read. I loved the characters, Jody and Holt. Although this is the second book in the Code of Honor series, and I haven’t read the first, I had no problem in getting into the story although it has definitely made me want to read that first book now and find out about some of the characters that appear in this story. As soon as these two characters met, I could feel the connection between them and the chemistry was believable. Taking Flight was a wonderful read and one that I highly recommend!

This was such a lovely story, I absolutely loved it. I was engaged form beginning to end and the authors writing was just beautiful, it was so easy to read. The characters felt so realistic, I honestly felt like I was right there with them. The author made them so likeable and relatable. Adam’s character was really interesting, I wasn’t sure about him to start with but as the story progressed and I began to see him unravel so to speak and I could totally understand why he was the way he was. I really felt for Jody, she was so down about herself. I loved this pair together, I felt like they had a genuine connection and I was rooting for them the whole way through. I 100% recommend this story, it is beautifully written and was an absolute joy to read.

This was a very interesting book. Imagine being able to change something you don’t like about yourself quickly and easily. The characters in this book attempt to do just this using chips that a doctor created. Is it worth the prices they pay though? This was an easy read and very thought provoking. As someone who struggles with weight I related to the character Ellen the most.

Check Out (The Bobbins Sisters Series Book 1) by Debra Parmley. This is a sweet contemporary romance. Its about Betsy who is a very naive librarian in a super small town in Tennessee. When Nash, a Marine Vet walks in the library and Betsy is intrigued and wants to get to know him more but he’s got a bad headache and comes off super grumpy. Nash also wears an eye patch due to the loss of one of his eyes from the Marines and he came back with a good case of PTSD as well. Betsy starts to have dream about this mysterious man and wants to get to know him better. Nash is reluctant at first but he decides to become friends with her. When Betsy’s sister Leann comes to town she gets a stalker that even follows her back to College and she is terrified. Nash helps her with the situation endearing himself to Betsy even more. This is one of the most entertaining romances I’ve read in a long time. It came with a little of everything: drama, laughter, jealousy, love, etc. So many animals are being abused in reality that it is refreshing to see an important topic touched on as a plot in the book. The characters are the biggest group of quirky personalities that somehow work together as a team. They run smooth, tease each other yet get the job done. I felt the emotions flow as our two man characters went through their challenges of trying to make it work. Not sure what to think if I would run into a man just sitting there carving mini kama-sutra poses. You have to read this one!

I’ve packed my bags and am ready to move to Parker Lake!
Olivia Sherwood gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling, deciding to take to expand my authors to read list. Unlikely in Love didn’t disappoint. I am a true believer in “everything happens for a reason,” and this love story seems to be in the same boat. All great things take time, and when it comes to the two main characters, Wyatt and Annie, the time these two have put into those they love, and care for, while fighting hard to make the world a better place, is never-ending.
From the first chapter, you’re swept into a whirlwind of emotions, and it is as though nothing else matters, all you want to do is learn more about Annie, Wyatt, their best friends, and the trials and tribulations that have paved a path for them to return to one another. Being an outcast in high school, myself, I found Annie’s character to be totally relatable, and the inner turmoil she experiences, had me covered in goosebumps as I really got to know her. I am so looking forward to following these characters into this series, as I cannot wait until I get to return to Parker and see what the extraordinary Olivia Sherwood has in store for us.

YES!! The 5th book in the Life is Hell series is just as epic as the others. This book is all about Jezebel who was saved by Malakhi, and Hadassah who is Malakhi’s sister. I really love Hadassah and Jezebel’s relationship, they grow closer when Hadassah follows Jezebel as she leaves, thinking that she is putting everyone in danger. At first Hadassah doesn’t want to get along with anyone let alone be stuck on earth but she figures that Jezebel would be the least risky option. I like the introduction of Devland, it was crazy that Jezebel would be dreaming certain things and then later on they would come to light. There are some nice little curves in here in regards to Devland and his relationship with Jezebel that had me worried. Seeing the relationships from the previous books still going strong and beautifully had me smiling. I really love this author and the writing style. I look forward to what comes next!

I really enjoyed this book. It is a romance of opposites attracting. There are so emotional parts and some funny parts which all mixed together makes a great read.

Setter is a jock and a total prankster. He is spending his time at college having fun, having meanless flings with women and pulling as many pranks as he can.

Unlikely in Love is the first book in the Parker Lake Series by Olivia Sherwood. I’m a big fan of Olivia’s and love all of her books. This series looks to be one of my favorites. The amazing way Ms. Sherwood weaves the characters and the small town atmosphere made me feel like I was part of the story. My husband thought I was a little crazy when I was talking to my kindle…. I just couldn’t put this book down. It had my attention from the first page to the last. It brought on a great range of emotions from happy to sad to angry.
This story brings together Annabelle Cleaver and Wyatt Holloway. I love the witty dialog between the characters. This is a love story about learning to trust and healing wounds. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great romance. Olivia Sherwood is on my TBR list and she has never let me down with any of her books. Review by @sunbarn

I picked up this book as the story interested me with different characters and I was curious how it would come about as the story progressed.
No questions asked, right from the start, I was more than intrigued. I related to the women of the novel called Ellen, Lilly, and Gigi. All of them had truly different desires and wanted a change and a chance to be happy. This basically from the moment head first intrigued me. The desires were so common as I feel a lot of us feel this every day. One lady wanted to be thinner and her personal body appearance bothered her. Another went through a time in her life where she got divorced and she was unhappy in life and desired to feel joys of living her life again. And last, but the least, the 3rd woman is suffering from a medical illness and she strongly desired to beat it.
All 3 women I found to be very likeable characters and defiantly very relatable. I found myself rooting for them right when I learning about the aspects of their characters.
Dr. Kite, the is the doctor who says he can help them reach their dreams and desires. To be right from is introduction, I was getting the strong vibes he is a doctor mad with power…but how far does that power go? The ladies of this novel wanted their happiness and didn’t care the cost, as they truly thought was there to help them reach their inner motives to be happy.
Sadly, as I would expect, these desires and happiness the ladies wanted come with a price. And it turned out to have dire consequences…probably more than and me as well would expect truly! The book was a very fast read, and the author kept the suspense raised up high. I honestly didn’t want to put it down. I found there was no pages of filling in with info to carry the story alone. I found every page connected to the one before and the page after it, I hung on to the pages to see what would happen.
Its gripping and will suck you in to say the least. When I got to ending, it was indeed a suspenseful cliff hanger. Now I desperately need to read and get my hands on the rest of the series
I’m so glad I came across this novel and read this this book, and plus now I have a new author I can adore and await more novels from 🙂
Honestly pick this book up and read it. Its different and original. The story progresses in ways I did not expect or was prepared for. Its visionary it unfolds is strikingly suspenseful, you will only regret not reading this sooner.

I am one who loves anything of a mystery. People who know the real me know I am in fact a Sherlock Holmes at heart so when I came across this cozy mystery I just had to pick it up and see how the mystery unfolds!
Sophie the the lead in this book, was a wonderful character. She was very strong and I would dare say she could hold her own ground no matter what life throws at her. She is caught in this mystery we have before our hands, when there was a murder of her loving coupon club…which was also in her very own home! Questions arose. Why? how? when?
Sophie wanted answers and she was going to stop at nothing to get those answers. She was very much a girl with a “nothing will stop me now attitude” and strong willed and I loved how she pretty much lead the book. She didn’t back down even when things got really well trouble some or dangerous. She had a secret passion it seemed to get to the bottom of the truth, and to be honest she was rather good at getting the information as the book and plot continued! She truly was an admirable character and I love it when authors portray the skills a female can bring in these sort of situations 🙂
Sophie had to undergo a lot. There was a lot of characters and all seemed to basically be suspects. She had to go through a lot of stuff such as ambitions and could she absolutely trust them? But the main question was up in the air my dear friends, why did the murderer commit the crime? What did they seek to gain from this violent act?
As the story continued I will be honest, I was pretty sure who the murderer was, but what got me was the inner reason to why they did it. I was a bit surprised to that striking conclusion. Needless to say that was a good surprise. It made the book so much more complex and addictive. Though it already was right from the start for me!
All in all, really enjoyed reading this! And to my delight discovered its from a series, so I will defiantly be going back to read the others in the series. This book was great to sit in with my drink of hot coca and relax and get lost in the mystery beforehand!
Highly recommend, if your like me who is a sleuth at heart you will not be disappointed in the least. The author has a great writing method, the book was east to follow, very easy strokes to get to know the characters, and most defiantly very easy to get sucked into and turn those pages like your life depended on it!

Sophie Parker finds herself caught in the middle of a mystery after discovering her coupon group friend murdered in her home. After initially being cleared of being a suspect in the murder, Sophie keeps getting dragged into the mystery through unfortunate circumstances she finds herself in, whether it’s her own curiosity or kindness to others. Despite her best efforts to stay out of trouble, Sophie finds herself caught up in unraveling the mystery as she encounters a variety of potential suspects and risks losing her jobs and possibly her life.
I loved the way the author weaved the story around the quirky characters and totally left me guessing the motive and the murderer until the very end. I found it to be an entertaining whodunit with a bit of sweetness and sass mixed in. Sophie getting unwittingly caught in the cross-hairs of trouble despite her best efforts to stay out of it, along with her kindness and resilience, made her the quiet kind of heroine that doesn’t need false bravado or rescuing; this is my favorite kind of strength in lead female characters. Read this one without having read the first book, so I’m kind of excited to read more about Sophie Parker and the other characters, and looking forward to reading subsequent titles in the series.
This is a good book that just rolled along. At first I struggled to keep my attention then all if a sudden I couldn’t stop turning pages. The characters are plentiful and it kind of reads like a soap opera. Its small town living at its best.
Overall its a story that sneaks up and grabs you and doesn’t let go until the last page.

I really enjoyed this book. Annabelle is strong and real. I really enjoyed her character. This book has a little bit of everything, including some laughs. Boy, Sophie was quite the character. I definitely recommend!

I did work out what was going on, but it was still nice to escape from reality and have some me time. The reason I gave this book a five star rating was purely because of the way it was written and the way the story flows. The story progresses at a nice slow and easy pace. They don’t just jump into bed the first time they see each other. As the story flows you think that this relationship is moving perfectly and just when you think everything is perfect Olivia surprises us and throws us a curve ball. (and makes me stay up past two in the morning just to finish it.)

The Third Nanny by Michele Pariza Wacek is described in the description as a ‘Twisted Psychological Thriller, and I would say that this description is spot on!
After receiving a letter from her sister who disappeared years before, Janey sets out to discover what actually happened to her. Whilst retracing her sister’s footsteps and taking a job as a nanny in the place she last knew her sister was working, Janey discovers new clues and unearths secret after secret. As expected, all is not as it seems.
For a psychological thriller, I found this book really easy to read. The story moves at a fast pace but is easy to keep up with, and there are lots of twists and turns along the way to keep you hooked. I spent the whole book thinking I knew how it would end…well, I may have changed my mind a few times! I was completely wrong though. If you like suspense and surprises, you will love this book.

This book is very much one-of-a-kind. While you can’t justify murder the story truly pulls at your heartstrings. Allison and Lillian are kindred spirits, and one could easily be the other. The story is woven so intricately that you wonder where one begins and the other ends. It’s very obvious that’s why Lillian chose Allison, and why she knew her story would be portrayed exactly as it needed to be. A true crime Writer and a woman convicted of murder. Watching the story unfold you can’t help but wonder and feel what ifs, the why and what the future will be.

Utterly transfixed. This is the type of book I want to crawl into and just be. A perfect book for a lazy afternoon on the couch with a good blanket and good drink. This author felt familiar and her characters were just so beautifully crafted. This story found a way into my heart and is one I’m going to carry around for a while. Just wonderful.

This author seems to pull at your heartstrings in the most profound ways through storytelling. I’ve read numerous books by this author and have captivated me after reading them. This book is no different as worlds collide but don’t end like you’d suspect. You will enjoy this one just as much as I did.

Give me more!! Wow. This author is new to me and I simply couldn’t put this book down. From start to finish I devoured these pages. This dark fantasy held me in its grips and wouldn’t let go. I loved the different characters I was introduced to and the journey I found myself on. I am speechless and cannot wait to read this again. What an amazing world built by a truly gifted writer.
Seriously. Seriously. Seriously. I cannot even get my brain wrapped around this book. I’ve read several of this author’s books previously but somehow missed this one before now. Speechless. Utterly and completely. This thrill ride kept me absolutely glued to this book. I’m still trying to process it. Just an amazing amazing amazing work. This author continues to impress me with her storytelling and detail. I am always emotionally invested and this book definitely left me shattered. Wow.

I really enjoy this author and love the culture exposure I get when reading about sports I’m not quite as familiar with. Another great read from start to finish, I’ve found this author to be reliable for a good book, relatable characters, steady pacing, and all around delightful time spent. Added bonus if you enjoy a good contemporary piece with some sports thrown in. Pick it up – you won’t regret it.
