The Nearness of You By K.G. Fletcher is by far my favorite book by her,I’ve read several books by this author and love them all. I had a hard time putting this down once I started reading it. I love this author’s style of writing and her ability to make you feel as if you are right along side the characters. Her characters are very real and connectable. I just love David and Lauren. There are a few twists and turns that I didn’t really see coming but I had to see what happened next. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

The Nearness of You by K.G Fletcher is a great feel good novel with elements of romance, passion and a fast paced world of the fashion industry.

The book revolves around Lauren a Lounge singer dreaming of making it in the music industry someday and David well established within his own world but brought back down to earth with seeing a beautiful women will she adapt to his world or will the whole experience leave her screaming from him.

I really enjoyed the premise of the story it’s not often nowadays you get a good romance novel with the mills and boon esq but none of the quivering chests lol. The chemistry between these two characters jump off the page and leaves you wanting more within the story. David reminds me when reading him of a dashing old fashioned movie star but really relatable to. Lauren just felt reading her as a friend you could tell everything to and you feel like you have known these characters forever.

I have read a few books by this author and I think I love this book the most, I believe I had just added another book boyfriend to the growing list in David and probably many more to come. I recommend this book if you love a good romance story, you would love this book.

The Nearness of You by KG Fletcher is a story about chance meetings and taking an opportunity when it is presented to you.
I am familiar with this author although not overly so. That meant I wasn’t quite sure still what to expect when starting this book. I can honestly say I really enjoyed it. Lauren and David have instant chemistry and it is entirely believable. I found myself firmly on Lauren’s side before I could get too far into the book. I wanted things to work out for her. I wanted her to like David. I wanted them to make it work.
The author has this way of writing that just effortlessly draws you into the story and the characters. Without even realising it you are hooked. This book was so easy to read and one that was so easy to enjoy. It has great characters and a great storyline – what more could you possibly want?

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher a five-star read that you won’t want to put down. I have read a few reads by this author and I have to admit this one was my favourite, I couldn’t put it down. On the surface you would think that David and Lauren could be quite self-centred and selfish as he is a hot model and she is a talented singer, but they aren’t and that’s the joy of this story, they have their moments but still they will make you fall for them as they fall for each other, there is a sizzle and spark that will keep you hooked.

I love this author! I have read several of her books and have never been disappointed. This one is another winner. This is a love story between Lauren Rose (a lounge singer) and David Randle (a British supermodel). They meet unexpectedly while he’s in town for his sister’s wedding. They hit it off while having drinks after her gig at the St. Regis Hotel. On a spur of the moment decision, David decides to invite her as his guest to the wedding. They have instant chemistry and bond rather quickly. They are both falling hard and fast for each other and despite their conflicting schedules, decide to make a go of it.

Not everyone is happy about their budding relationship and David’s assistant Sabrina causes major problems for Lauren. I felt so bad for her. From the beginning of the book, I loved Lauren and my heart broke for her. I cried with some of the things that she had to endure. I really didn’t like Sabrina! I loved this book and found it was a quick read seeing as I couldn’t put it down.

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher was so adorable. At first I kept thinking that it was a little far fetched that a regular plain Jane would meet a male model, but the story was beautifully written. It was like a fairytale movie and I was obsessed. David was thee perfect guy, thoughtful, caring, romantic and BRITISH! I really wish I had Lauren’s taste in clothing and music. Her old soul fit in perfectly with the story. The attention to the details of her dress, of the environments, of both characters was breathtaking. The author does an amazing job with her descriptions and making the reader feel like they are in the stories. I throughly enjoyed reading their love grow, they had an amazing connection. The story was a smooth and fast read. I read it in a day needing to know what would happen. I would love to read more about these characters or even of David’s sister and brother in law!

A great read about opposites. Lauren Rose is a talented singer living in Atlanta struggling to make it in the show business. One Friday night she performs in a hotel like any other night. But her life is changed forever when she meets supermodel David Randle at the gig and finds instant chemistry with him. Their passion blossoms while attending his sisters wedding, but when he returns to Britain, will their love survive the distance?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Lauren doing what she loves despite the struggles or David drive for ambition but a kind heart underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the colourful and wise Jordan or the sweet and supportive Catherine. I loved the use of music in the novel with the songs used and Laurens passion for music as a lovely touch. i also loved the use of the senses with taste and smell and touch in the breakfast place to make it feel as if you were actually there. i alos loved the scenes in the wedding full of life and people and also loved the use of opposites used throughout the novel which worked well to create contrasts. Overall, a great read and i would give it four stars.

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher is another stunning and breathtaking romance that readers can immerse themselves in effortlessly and wholeheartedly.

I couldn’t help but love everything about Lauren and David. Lauren sang from her soul and David was her match. Their love was explosive and absorbing. Not everyone was happy about that and they found themselves facing impossible and heartbreaking situations. I was cheering for them to triumph over the odds stacked against them, because a chemistry such as theirs cannot be ignored or denied.

A love story of substance, complexity and thrilling passion. K. G. Fletcher is one seriously talented author and one of my most treasured discoveries. 5 stars.

The Nearness Of You by K.G. Fletcher. I LOVED this book, once I started it I didn’t put it down until I was finished. Its the story of unassuming, sweet Lauren Rose a lounge singer looking to make it big. She leads the life of a everyday girl until she meets British Super Model David Randle who is in Atlanta for his sister’s wedding. Sparks fly immediately. The only problem is his assistant is not happy with David’s new love interest. It is taking time from his super crazy schedule. Will she be successful in breaking them up or will love win out. I fell in love with David and I could just hear his British accent in my head. I rooted for him and Lauren thru the whole story. It was a super fun read!

The Nearness of You is a stand-alone read from author K.G. Fletcher. This is my fourth read from this author and she continues to never disappoint. She continues to astound me with her incredible characters and even better story lines. I was completely hooked and captivated with this read from the start and unable to put it down until I was finished. I can absolutely say this is by far the best book I have read by K.G Fletcher. But I still cannot wait to see what else she brings.

Both of these characters are relatable, lovable and totally perfect for each other. It was amazing to read their journey, following their ups and downs, and the obstacles that they face. But from the start, there was still something between these two that was undeniable totally perfect. Both of these characters had me swooning especially David, but come on once you read this read you will understand why.

With a few twists and turns that are thrown into the mix, this is the perfect read, amazing characters, brilliant storyline, it’s romantic, funny and an easy flowing read right from the start – it’s a book that should not be missed!

The Nearness of You
KG Fletcher
5 out of 5 stars

I thought I had recently become a really big fan of KG Fletcher’s writing, hooked on her stand alone Southern Promises series. When I stumbled across The Nearness of You it was a no brainer that I had to give this romance a chance too. As usual, I was far from disappointed but I realized just how much I was missing about KG Fletcher! What I do know is that KG Fletcher has a knack for creating characters you can’t help but love, they’re realistic, relatable and the kind of people you can’t help but root for.
What I’ve somehow been missing is KG Fletcher’s musical talent and the way she incorporates music and lyrics into her romance novels. I have always been someone that is drawn to the lyrics of a song so while I was looking over the amazing playlist from The Nearness of You and taking in the musical inspiration for Lauren and David’s story I was impressed to see a Cabernet act as well, incredible!
You didn’t come here for a review of the author so I’ll get back to the point! Lauren and David’s story gripped me from the very beginning with the realistic interaction between the two of them,
Lauren’s personality is so real you feel as though you’re just observing an old friend and KG Fletcher’s attention to detail really sets the perfect tone for this story, making you feel like you’re right in the midst of everything.
The Nearness of You is the perfect combination of romance and twists and turns in all the right places, with conflict that is realistic and writing that keeps the pages turning until the early morning hours. I swear I’ve read each of these author’s books in record time, they’re the kind you just don’t want to put down. I am looking forward to reading the last two books on my to be read list by this author and I will be highly recommending the Nearness of You next time I’m asked for a book recommendation…

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Karyn Taylor

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is yet another outstanding read from K.G. Fletcher. It is the 3rd book in the Southern Promises Series and I’ve loved all of them. All 3 books have a connection but can be read as a standalone as each is a complete story. I’d urge anyone to read all 3 books, not to help with any understanding of the story, but purely because this is a fantastic series that I’ve totally fell in love with and I know I’ll read them again.
In Book 2 we meet Stephen Kaufman who is Hart’s boss. We know that he’s a cheating scumbag with a beautiful wife and 4 gorgeous daughters. The book is the story of his, now ex-wife Jessica. Jessica is heartbroken by the breakdown of her marriage and is now doing everything she can to raise her 4 gorgeous daughters on her own.
Tim McGill is the gardener to the homes in the posh suburban area where Jessica lives. Hiding behind a beard and long hair, Tim is making a new life for himself, using a fake surname. In reality he’s Tim Ryan, huge star of the NFL whose mistake cost his side the Superbowl. When Tim catches Jessica having a breakdown the day her divorce papers arrive, he becomes her knight in shining armour, helping her with the girls.
As Tim and Jessica spend more time together they finally give in to the huge attraction they have for each other. This however causes a lot of friction in Jessica’s life. Her snobby parents and ex-husband are mortified that she’s lowered herself to be involved with such a lowlife as a gardener.
Again K.G. Fletcher has given us amazing characters. Jessica’s guts and determination to raise her little girls and make others see that Tim really is a good guy is endearing. Tim is just the most adorable man. The love he has for, and the way he treats her daughters makes my heart melt.
Will Tim’s secret get out? Will Tim and Jessica get the happily ever after that they deserve? I’m not going to answer those and spoil the story. Dig in and read for yourself and find out how it all ends.

Georgia Pine is the third book in K.G. Fletcher’s Southern Promises series. I have read the second book which was also my first read by this writer and I fell in love with her Southern story telling! I know now for sure I need to go and pick up also the first book (as it turns out our girl Jessica is friends with Katie who is the female main character in the first story of the series AND both Jessica and Tim love Georgia Clay music!)
Georgia Pine is the story of Jessica Kaufman – a mother to four young girls and just recently divorced from her hot shot cheating real estate mogul husband, and Tim McGill who is hiding out in Georgia and trying to rise like Phoenix from the ashes of his former celebrated career on the West Coast.
The story was heart-warming like Southern hospitality, I loved the simplicity and yet the complexity of the feelings of the two people who feel such a strong pull under the surface so you sit at the edge of your seat and keep your fingers crossed that Tim will learn to trust and open up to these little girls their mother and that Jessica will get her happily-ever-after!

First of the cover is hot! Such a great book. You seem internal term-oil, struggle, realization, heartache, and so much more. The spark that ignites their passion could burn them with the truth Tim is withholding. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Hot, steamy, and so much passion. You want to root for them. The author really has a great writing style like not a lot that I have seen. Once you start the book you will never want to stop. It’s a read again book and a read again series. Is there more because I definitely want more. Great book!!!!

What a great book! I felt really connected to these characters in a way I haven’t in a long time. You really get to know them and see them for who they are and I liked how real they felt.
When a supermodel and a singer cross paths the last thing they expect is the sparks. I mean who wouldn’t want that with a sexy male model but these lit my kindle on fire.

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher was a great whirlwind romantic love story. I loved the way Lauren and David met and how they just connected.

With as connected as they were they still had their issues in the relationship, self esteem or lack of can cause so many problems. I could imagine the level of insecurity Lauren was feeling while with David.

David with his sexy British accent to go with his incredibly sexy face and body. Whew, I do wonder if the image I got matches up with what anyone else came up with.

I have read a few other books by Ms. Fletcher and she has impressed me with her stories and writing. She is quickly becoming an author I keep an eye on to see if there is anything new.

Georgia Pine by KG Fletcher is the third book in her Southern Promises series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Jessica and Tim, you get to see these two characters grow closer and start a family together. Watching these characters throughout the series, from books one and two, you get to see the story being told from their eyes and how their lives have changed since coming together. Having fallen in love with Fletcher’s work from her previous series, and then loving the rest of this series, I knew that I couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to read this one. While each of these books are written in a way that they could be read as a standalone, I totally recommend reading them in series order, Georgia Clay and Georgia on My Mind, as the characters really came alive for me across the books. If you are looking for a fantastic series that will take you in and never let go than this is the series for you!

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher is a fantastic heartwarming romantic story. I have now read several book by this author and they are fast becoming one of my favourites. Everything I’ve read of theirs so far, I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Lauren Rose is a lounge singer in a bar in Atlanta. One evening after performing a very handsome man chats with her at the bar. He is in town for his sister’s wedding. The 2 hit it off instantly and he is drawn to her in a way he has never known before. On impulse, he invites her to be his date for the wedding. It turns out that he is David Randle, top male supermodel.
The chemistry between Lauren and David is electric and they quickly realise that what they feel could really become something special. However, there is the fact that he is a top model in the UK and she lives in Atlanta. Added to the mix is David’s assistant who will do everything possible to break the couple up.
I absolutely loved the characters of Lauren and David. It was obvious immediately to me that the author’s muse for David was British supermodel David Gandy. Well, that’s because I’m a huge fan of him. It was certainly no problem in picturing him in my head while reading this story.
With everything that seemed to be in the way to stop Lauren and David having their happily ever after, I was rooting for them from the very beginning. These 2 needed each other in their lives.
I would urge anyone to read this book. You will not be disappointed.

The Nearness of You is a wonderfully romantic and captivating story by the extremely talented K.G. Fletcher. I absolutely love Ms. Fletcher’s books and have fallen in love with every single one I have read!! She has a warm, sexy, almost lyrical style to her writing which really lends itself to the beautiful stories and characters she creates. This book was almost like watching an old Hollywood movie, but with a modern spin. Speaking of movies, this story would make a fabulous film!! The story is so perfectly sexy and romantic, with just enough tension, sparks, emotion, and drama to keep things really interesting.
As I have come to expect from Ms. Fletcher, this story played quite a fine tune with my emotions, I really was emotionally invested in the characters and the outcome of their story- feeling everything they went through right alongside them. I was completely hooked, right from the beginning, because it was so easy to read and so very easy to love Lauren and David. These two are really quite wonderful- lovingly created and fully developed individuals who were both so endearing. They had a sizzling connection, and their chemistry sparked right off the pages.
David is a famous male model who’s in town to attend his sister’s wedding. I loved him so much, he’s quite the swoony one, a perfect book boyfriend to add to my collection. He definitely has a ‘David Gandy’ feel to him, not that I’ve met Mr. Gandy in person, but I can imagine that he would be a lot like this David. Lauren is a real sweetheart, a wonderful singer who dreams of making it big on the music scene someday. They meet, and the sparks ignite. David introduces her to his world and things get really interesting. Is he looking for something permanent, or just a diversion? Can she get her head around his somewhat crazy lifestyle? Will these two find the happiness they’ve both been searching for?
This gave me all the ‘feels, and then some!
So worth the read!!

Thank you, Ms. Fletcher!

I think that this has to be my favourite story by this author so far. I absolutely loved reading Lauren and David’s story. Lauren is one of those character who you instantly find a connection with, she is genuinely really nice and a real down to earth person. David had that British charm that I really love and I adored him! The romance between the two was so sweet and I thought that their connection was really natural and genuine. There was a bit of angst running through the story with a certain secretary!
One of the things that I love about this author is her ability to make me feel like I am right there living the journey along with her characters. Her attention to detail is amazing and she really brings her stories to life.
As always I will definitely be looking forward to the next book from this very talented author!

The Nearness of You by KG Fletcher. This book is a standalone contemporary romance. As soon as I started this book, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put it down until I was done. I got sucked into the story.

Lauren is just going about her normal routine when she runs into none other than David Randle. She is so nervous and got off guard. Then the unexpected happens. He invites her to breakfast and a wedding and they bond over their many similar interests. David can’t really explain it but he just wants Lauren around as much as possible. However, there is someone that doesn’t want Lauren around and will stop at nothing to make sure she’s not.

I really enjoyed this book. The author has such an attention to detail that makes you feel like you are living the story with the characters. David is such a gentleman and you could feel how much he cared for Lauren and her feelings. By the end of the book you could really tell what Lauren was made of and how strong and sure of herself she was. All in all, the book was such a great read!

This author was already up in my favorites after reading her Southern Promises series, but she jumped even a few more spots after this one…I loved loved loved this book! And I can also say…I Love Love Love this author…she is completely awesome.

Everything about this story was spot on, the characters…sigh…i fell for both of them pretty quick, David turned out to be someone totally different than i thought he would be and I was so glad, he is what I love in my leading men. I so loved Lauren as well…The whole dynamic between these two worked perfectly. I am so thankful this story did not end up going the way I thought it would, although a few of the little twists and turns caught me off guard they were placed at just the perfect times throughout.

I had all the feels while reading this, and I shed a few tears in a few places. This is definitely one of my favorite reads of this year so far and its funny because another of this authors books shares a spot on that list.

Read this Im not even kidding, it is awesome and when your done go read her Southern Promises Series…definite rereads in the future for me.

One of those stories you never want to end…..

Brilliant!!

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Nearness of You is a standalone romance novel from author K G Fletcher. Focused around the world of showbiz, fame and glamour, we meet two characters who are both following their dreams. This is an exciting read that has all the makings for a fairy-tale story. I loved it and am already on the lookout for more of the same!

We meet Lauren, our leading lady, during a comfortable period in her life. She’s happy, but determined not to give up on her dreams of making it big in the music industry. So when a routine gig introduces her to David, thing change forever. Lauren is an ambitious, fun and completely likeable character. I loved finding out more about her life and found myself praying that all of her dreams would come true. Her instant connection David felt real and not forced at all, which is sometimes the case in romance reads. They naturally bounced off each other and it was obvious just how much they enjoyed being around each other. Let’s be honest, I think it would be easy for anyone to enjoy being around David! As a Brit myself, I maybe didn’t have quite the same reaction to him as my American counterparts. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate him! He doesn’t seem to have nay major flaws and he treats Lauren like a queen; where can I find one?! David’s relationship with his sister is also a highlight of the read for me and, again, written so naturally and authentically.

While this story is packed full of romantic moments, it also has it’s drama. When we meet David’s assistant, Sabrina, things get really interesting. Her involvement in the couple’s relationship is complex, infuriating and so addictive to read. If you like some meddling in your love stories, this a must read!

Overall, The Nearness of You is a beautifully romantic read. I fell in love with the characters and their stories, as well as the incredible locations we visited. Another wonderful element of this read is the inclusion of music. I strongly recommend checking out the playlist at the back of the book; it opened my ears up to lots of new music! This book has got me hooked onto music-romances and I can’t wait to find my next one!

OMG this book! I love so so many parts of it! I don’t want to put it down and you know…work, sleep etc. So that being said I finished this quickly since I put my life on hold. Ha ha. Just kidding….ummm not really. Well I picked this up because I’ve read other books by this author and I love them. She does an amazing job of making me feel connected to these characters.

David Randall——first off he’s British! Oh and a male model. So you know he’s a looker and a heart stopper. I loved David! He did all the right things and made all the right moves. He was gentlemanly and very concerned for Lauren’s feelings….which I could *feel* coming off the pages! I could easily tell when he was happy just being with her. It made me smile as well. I enjoyed how David looked as his sister and her new husband. I could feel their happiness and love as well as Davids joy while looking at them.

Lauren is amazing in her own right! She is a singer…I mean how sexy is that! I loved how they incorporated music and her singing into their lives. I had never heard “The Nearness of You” by Norah Jones before but I have heard it now. I also enjoyed the tie in to Fly me to the Moon….very romantic! Anyway Lauren has that vintage style going for her and her crooner voice. She did not have a easy go…being the “girlfriend” of supermodel David but she toughed it out and toughened up a bit. Go Lauren!

One of my fav scenes was Lauren and David go to a local restaurant…..

Sally at the restaurant cracked me up! I’m pretty sure she would be me when hearing a British accent.
“ did you hear that? He said pi-con. Not Pea-can!”
So I said that over and over in my head….yup! British accent started!

This is a delightful story of two people who meet by luck and see if they can make a go despite all the obstacles. This made me laugh, chuckle and care about these characters. I already mentioned how lovely the writing style is. The story flows very nicely as well. I highly recommend and this book will be placed on my Re-read list.

This, to me, was the best book of the series. I absolutely fell in love with Tim and Jessica and the little girls were an added bonus!

Tim is a gardener for the upper class in town, but he has a secret. He’s in hiding from his former life. And he doesn’t expect a family of women to bring him to his knees.
Jessica is learning how to live after a divorce where she wasn’t a wife but more arm candy, and her husband strayed.
Can these two unlikely people come together to be stronger than they have ever been?

Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises Book 2) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Karyn Taylor

Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises #2)Georgia On My Mind by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia On My Mind is the 2nd book in the Southern Promises series by K.G. Fletcher. Although part of a series, these books can be read as a standalone. I would however urge any reader to read the whole series as the first 2 books are fantastic. Having previously read other works by this author, she is definitely become a major favourite of mine.
Our hero in this book is Hartford Parker, brother of Katie who was the heroine of book 1, Georgia Clay. Hartford, or Hart as he’s better known, is living at his sister’s house in Atlanta, having been fired in disgrace from his high powered job. At a friend’s birthday he comes to the rescue of Gia Bates who is the Marilyn Monroe party entertainer. There’s an instant chemistry between the 2. Gia is struggling to keep her dance studio business afloat and is working as an impersonator to earn extra cash.
I really loved both of these characters. Gia is so head strong and will do everything to keep her business from going under. I loved her grit and determination. Hart is an adorable guy who just wants to everything he can to help her.
I would highly recommend this book (and the rest of the series) as they are amazing stories with equally amazing characters who will draw you in from the very first page.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Emily Walsh

My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3) by K.G. Fletcher was a sweet good feel read, that leaves you feeling all mushy on the inside.

My first read from this author and for this series, they read as standalones, so there was nothing to worry about in that area. This book followed a pretty standard plot, and you could see the ending a mile away, but I loved the added children and that, Tim wasn’t a overbearing, brewing, alpha male type.

First I want to give the author props for not using the whole amnesia thing, cause it’s like a weird cop-out, and frankly it’s been done so many times that I get nervous when a MC gets a head injury. I also like the way Tim’s character was developed, kind, strong and basically a decent human being. Despite Jessica’s a++hat ex, he wasn’t that overpowering jealous type, and didn’t get all piss when someone talk to her. I will say that, I wish he was just a blue-callered worker, I really do. Because him being not, and using it as a disguise, actually took away from the story. It was for me, a cop-out. I think the ending would have had a much greater and more powerful message, if Tim was simply just, a normal hardworking, decent humanbeing.

Overall I very much enjoyed this quick read. It was very well written, the detail was rich and made you feel that southern heat. It has a nice easy pace, there was drama but it was well place and belonged. There was no drama for the sake of drama. The love was a little insta-lovie, but it still felt natural, and of course the smut was…. hot… hot.. you’ll feel the heat and will need a fan.

The only thing left is to give you my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is book three in the Southern Promises series written by KG Fletcher. While it is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. This was probably my favorite of the three stories and is Tim and Jessica’s story. Both have their own set of problems and issues and this great story is how they handle each issues along with moving forward. It has it’s surprising moments and moments of “no what are you doing?!”. overall the story is great and has a little bit if everything in it. The characters had issues you can relate to and the emotions they experienced are similar to real life scenarios.
