Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)
By K.L. Montgomery
5 Stars

WOW! Being a newcomer to K.L. Montgomery, I didn’t know what to expect in terms of her books. To say I was blown away is putting it mildly! The Romance in Rehoboth boxed set gives you the first 3 books in this amazing series.

From the awesomeness that is Fat Girl, the 1st book in the series, you’re introduced to Claire Sterling. Her life may not be what she thought it would be but she is determined to re-invent herself! The characters, flow, and story (although it was a bit of memoir read) all came together to give the reader so much. The self-deprecating humor and subject matter that K.L. Montgomery spin in this book kept me entertained until the very end.

Then on to book 2, The Flip! Another great read from K.L. Montgomery introduces you to Andrew and Sonnet. These two have been competing against each other since they were 8 years old. To find out that Andrew’s great aunt has passed and bequeathed her home to both of them. As they renovate the home they begin to see they are not the same people that they were. Sparks fly and the house may not be the only thing that gets fixed! The Flip was more a “traditional” romance and Ms. Montgomery continues with her positive body image theme! Thoroughly enjoyable!

The final book in this box set is Plot Twist and Ms. Montgomery keeps on giving us the GOOD!! Meric & Lindy headline this third installment. But don’t worry, Ms. Montgomery continues with characters from past books popping in and new characters falling in love hooking you in with this series! Meric & Lindy both have ideas of how this production is going to go. Too bad there’s always scene changes and plot twists with any production! This rom-com was super fun to read!

If you’re looking for fun, easy reads pick up this box set! K.L. Montgomery will snare you and keep you entertained with these great stories. Hilarity, romance, and fabulous stories are what you will find. I would highly recommend you add K.L. Montgomery to your favorite author list! Pick up this box set today and prepare to be entertained! You will love these books!!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rehoboth Series by K. L. Montgomery is a series is about self-realization. In the three different stories, Montgomery has fully developed characters and as a reader I found myself in the story with the characters. Each story has its own characters but the stories are similar. Each one had me within the first couple of paragraphs to the last words on each story. My family thinks I am crazy because I would talk to the characters like they are right there in my living room with me. Out of the three, I would have to say that “The Flip” was my favorite one. This story has all the elements that I could feel in my life at this moment in time. You will go on a journey with each character, Claire in Fat Girl, Sonnet in The Flip, and Lindy in Plot Twist. Each female character grows within her own story. They start to trust their feelings but the walls remain up. I hope you enjoy your journey with each character as I am sure you will find yourself growing as the characters grow within the story.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Sheri Schrader

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Romance in Rehoboth Boxed set by KL Montgomery includes the first three books in the series. What a great way to get several lighthearted stories together. These can be read out of order but why would you when you have them all together.
Fat Girl
Fat Girl by K.L. Montgomery is the first book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. These are standalone stories but with characters that carry over from one story to the next. Claire is going through a reinvention of herself after her divorce. She is fat and had a lifelong challenge with her weight. She is a blogger/journalist who decides to join the online dating world. Her character is relatable and fun. I could relate to her because the character is the same age as myself and so were her references from her past. I liked the story and read this quickly. If you are needing a fun read this is for you.
The Flip
The Flip by K.L. Montgomery is the second book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. This can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. The story is about Andrew and Sonnet who were academic rivals in high school. When both jointly inherit a house ten years after high school can they put their differences aside? Andrew is the underachiever who enjoys his life. Sonnet is the overachiever who wants to continue her education and lead girls into the sciences. The two decide to flip the inherited house. There were elements that reminded me of “The Money Pit”. This was a fun read that kept me from putting it down. I wanted to see where the story went. The characters were relatable and realistic. I hadn’t read the first book in the series but am now going back to catch that one before continuing to the next book. I hope that the stories are as fun as this one.
Plot Twist
Plot Twist by KL Montgomery is the third book in the Romance in Rehoboth series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading in order because some of the secondary characters were introduced in earlier books. Lindy wants to hide from the limelight but is convinced by friends to become involved in a local theatre production. Meric is a newly divorced accountant by day but a handsome actor after work. Can Lindy overcome her insecurities to allow Meric to be more than a friend? I have enjoyed the other books in the series and this one did not disappoint. The characters have real issues and to face not only themselves but also those around them. KL Montgomery gives another strong female character and reminds us that there are nice guys out there.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Emily Walsh

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set
ByK.L. Montgomery
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery is a light hearted, good feel collection, that features a great selection of MC’s, that are, you know, actually normal people.

I love this series, it has good laughs, good messages and it has like I said, real normal people, as the leads. I’m talking, that you could pass these people on the street and not think twice. They aren’t the embodiment of greek gods, they aren’t perfect, and that makes this series all the more enjoyable and it makes you connect with them on a human leve. It was refreshing, and just, amazing.

As I have review these books separately, I’m going to give you the highlights from each, you can get what I’m putting out.

Fat Girl: “Reading this book hit home with me, and in truth I wish I would have read it sooner. I connected with Claire, I know her struggles and, damn some of things that went through he head.. I can relate. It’s so real it makes me feel this book was written with personal experience, or it was researched so well, that no detail was spared. “

The Flip: “Sonnet, she was strong willed, smart and determined. I like her, and I loved seeing her slowly loosen up, the more time she spent in the house, with Drew and, interacted with her crazy neighbours. She had a spark about her that made reading about her and Drew’s growing friendship/something, all the more fun and enjoyable.

Plot Twist: “Lindy, she is our female MC. She isn’t your normal female protagonist, for one, she’s plus size, two, she isn’t the so called “natural beauty” that makes every man or woman, in the room turn their heads. She’s a realistic character, that fits with what normal woman, look like and feel. I have seen some stunning woman in my life, and never had I seen the goddess like creatures that are portrayed in most romance novels. So reading about this normal everyday woman, made this book more than enjoyable, but real. Because no matter what movies, TV, and social media wants to make you believe, the big girl can get that hot guy. I’ve seen it, and it’s about time it’s reflected in entertainment.

There is a fourth book called Badge Bunny, so when you get these pretties read you can continue the fun, and follow our beloved character in that book. It’s just as good as these, and I really hope there is more to come from the people of Rehoboth.

There is nothing else left to say only that I give this series my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. It’s everything you’ve been wanting for in a romance series.

Happy Reading

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved the Romance in Rehoboth series. Fat Girl is the more practical love story, and focuses a bit more on how Claire grows to love herself. Really all of these cast some sort of light on body image and confidence, and it makes them that much more relatable to me. The Flip was more of a fun enemies to lovers situation, it was humorous but heartfelt. In Plot Twist, I really connected with Lindy. The way she tried to fade into the background, when she’s meant to shine. The way her friends don’t know how to act when she changes. These books were entertaining with a powerful message of self acceptance, and enjoyable love stories. I’m a big fan of this series.

Fat Girl: Romance in Rehoboth Book #1

Besides the Autumn poets sing
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the Haze…
Grant me, Oh Lord, a sunny mind-
Thy windy will to bear!
~Emily Dickinson

Once again, like I so often find myself with anything written by KL Montgomery, I am at a loss of how to do this novel justice with a review. It is hard when a book so greatly resounds with you and your life to put exactly into words how that makes you feel as you are reading, and long after you are finished. I think most of us book fanatics understand the feeling and so a simple opinion will just have to do. I highly recommend that you pick up this novel, and the rest of the series that is available now! One-click the whole series, and prepare to fall in love with Rehoboth.

Claire Sterling is dealing with a lot of life changes. You could call it a midlife crisis, but that is just because it happens to be taking place just shy of her 40th birthday. See, Claire is now a newly single mom, a divorcee to be, and a, well, a ‘fat girl’. She is struggling to find her identity as a woman facing all these obstacles that have just been dumped in her path. Throw in the fact that she now has to move home with her parents in Delaware and that she has a job writing a blog type reoccurring spot for the New York Times, and well you have a perfect equation for some funny stories and times.

In her column, Her Reinvention, she faces her problems head on, and very publically. Her Reinvention is full of her self-depreciating antics, funny dating mishaps, basically her actual ‘reinvention’ is on display, and it makes for some awesome reading material. Her humor really resounded with me. I feel like I often make something funny so that I don’t have to cry. This is something that I know a lot of women face and could connect to. I loved following her journey. I was sad when the book ended. Claire still has a lot to learn and fix so to speak, but she is stronger and a bit more confident by the end of the novel.

Another positive that I feel is worth mentioning, KL Montgomery incorporates the seasons in the novel by breaking it up into sections with poems/quotes that ring true to the seasons of life. This is something I love to see in novels. Poetry/quotes are a huge addiction of mine and I feel like it really is another great way to connect the reader to the story.

Thank you for another strong, body positive, and realistic story KL Montgomery. I can’t wait to see what else is to come from you!

How many lessons of faith and beauty we should lose, if there were no winter in our year!

Behold, my friends, the spring is come;
the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun,
And we shall soon see the results of their love!
-Sitting Bull

Then followed that beautiful season…
Summer…
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light;
And the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.

The Flip: Romance in Rehoboth Book #2
KL Montgomery is an automatic one-click author for me. I am always finding things I can relate to in her characters. This book was not anything different and I loved every second of my time spent at the beach with Andrew and Sonnet. This is the perfect poolside read, if you are like me and don’t have access to a beach, otherwise, go read this at the beach!

“Tonight is one of those brilliant sunsets you never want to end.”

The Flip is the second book in the Romance in Rohoboth series, but it can be read as a standalone. I don’t know why you would though because it too is a five-star read! The Flip has the same ring of rom-com that is prevalent in a lot of KL Montgomery’s work. I found myself laughing a lot of the book. Who doesn’t need a little more laughter and love in their lives?

Andrew and Sonnet can’t stand each other, at least that is what they thought at first. High school rivals they were glad to be rid of each other after graduation. Well not for long. Penelope Vaughn has a different plan in mind. Upon her death she gifts her beachfront property to both of them. Penelope was Andrew’s great aunt. Her connection to Sonnet is that she used to be her neighbor that she went to and sought comfort from in times of need.

The house really needs some work. The two feel like they could manage to ‘flip’ the house together. They both could use the money and have the profits set to be used for their dreams. The process isn’t as easy as it sounds though for them. Can they work together to get through this or will they continue to bash heads at every turn? What will happen when they start to see more than an irritant and enemy in each other? Will they be willing to open up their hearts to the idea of love?

I loved Sonnet. Her classy but sassy attitude is very much like myself and I really connected to her on that level. I also loved that she was strong-willed and knew what she wanted. She didn’t back down ever to Andrew and I loved that. We need more strong positive women to read about and represent for the women of this world that aren’t afraid to live in the skin they are in.

“I roll my eyes. I figure by the end of the summer, my eye muscles will be the strongest ones in my entire body, they’re going to get such a work out from dealing with Andrew Clark.”

“Boundaries, Andrew, ever heard of them?”

Andrew was also a fun guy to read about. He is strong willed as well, hence their clashing personalities. He also has a joker personality, and is funny and entertaining. His secret is that he is just a big teddy bear. A soft and sweet heart, and I loved that about him. He really grew on me.

I can’t wait to see what will come with the next book, Badge Bunny! I am sure whatever is to come will be my next obsession from KL Montgomery!!

“I know this look. And I know what it means. And I know what is happening. Every single one of my brain cells is telling me to step back, to turn my cheek, to purse my lips, but my thundering heartbeat is drowning out their pleas. Even my brain can be ignored.”

Plot Twist: Romance in Rehoboth #3
K.L. Montgomery really hits the nail on the head with this funny and entertaining Rom-Com. I have not read the other books (yet) in the Rehoboth series from her but I will be doing so soon. I loved that this book was its own force though and I was able to get lost in it without reading the others. I found myself laughing out loud, and rooting for our main characters to find the happiness they so much deserved.

Lindy is a strong curvy woman, with an attitude. She doesn’t let her self-conscious issues stop her from trying to accomplish her dreams of being in the entertainment industry. Instead she feels like she could be the next big cartoon character’s voice, maybe even a Disney princess someday? She needs flexibility in her life as she right now is tasked with taking care of her aging parents and is living with them. During the day she is a teacher at Delmarva Academy, when school is in session. She does get summers off and during this time her best of friends manage to convince her to try out for a local musical.

It is there that she meets the dashing Meric Chandler. Meric is an accountant by day, with a personality of a reserved hermit. What most people don’t know about him is his passion for theatre. It is when he is on stage that he comes out of his shell and shines brightest.

One disaster after another leaves the two finding themselves front and center of the production. Both of them begin to develop feelings for each other but are putting a hold on them because of their past issues. Lindy is terrified of putting her heart on the line. Meric is healing his heart after a bitter divorce and is not looking for a new relationship right now. Sometimes life has a way of changing our best intentions and plans and these two find themselves having a difficult time avoiding the strong feelings at the forefront. Will they be able to overcome their fears and find that happily ever after they both think that is impossible to achieve? Or will the pressures they self-impose get in the way of any future happiness they could have together?

I am itching to read the other books that are part of the Romance in Rehoboth series. I will also be keeping an eye for more installments in the future from KL Montgomery. I can guarantee this book promises laughter, love, and the right amount of tearful moments to balance it all. You won’t be disappointed you joined Lindy and Meric on their journey together. I am sure you will be finding yourself falling in love with these characters as much as I have. This is a strong five star read that will take you away from the stresses of life and have you laughing for a few hours. This is the perfect rainy day read, or even a day by the pool read.

I absolutely adored these stories! This author is definitely one of my favourites, she creates such wonderful, down to earth characters that you cannot help but fall in love with. Her writing pulls you in with ease and doesn’t let you back out until the very end. Each story is about a different character but they all interconnected in some ways.
I loved Fat Girl (book 1 in the box set) Claire really spoke to me as a character; I just loved everything about her. She was such a realistic and relatable character.
I loved how each book, although took place in the same setting, was completely different.
A fantastic box set of 5 star reads – I highly recommend it I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Rated 5 stars

This box set includes Fat Girl, The Flip and Plot Twist. I wasn’t a fan of Fat Girl to much due to way too much thinking in the characters head (I prefer action and dialog) but the character themselves were good. This proved to be true as you get to see each of them in the other two stories. The Flip was the a lot more enjoyable to me. The silly things that happened and the outrageous characters really added to the story. The two main characters had a fiery relationship. I enjoyed a lot of back and forth banters…..so full of sass. Plot Twist was full of humor and I really felt like a friend or maybe an extra on the set :). The characters really drew me in and I enjoyed reading this book immensely. The secondary characters in this one(as with the previous two) were out of this world. They all had such great roles and added to the story. Along with making me laugh and chuckle.

This is a definite series to read if you want to be taken on an adventure, or fall in love with the characters, make new friends and enjoy a good chuckle. They all have a nice message included as well from characters that seem like they could be your bestie or neighbors.

a great trilogy about finding love where you least expect it. Set in the idyllic seaside town of Rehoboth, the first novel tells the story of writer Claire starting life again after her divorce as a writer and mother. Will she lose the weight she wants and find the man of her dreams? Sonnet and Drew have been bitter rivals since high school years ago. But when Sonnet’s aunt leaves them both a house in disrepair, can they put their differences aside and sell it together? Lindy Larson has always been shy, but takes a backing vocal part in a production fo a play by Claire. When troubles arise, will she find courage and take the leading lady part?
a series of great reads. Well developed plots with twists and tunrs and surprises that you will not be able to put down. Well developed characters of women who go for what they want such as Sonnet and her science teaching dreams or Claire to lose weight balanced with the humour of Drew. Great example of switching perspectives in the novels between chapters that was well written to dispaly both sides of events and were easy to follow. Great romances placed in amazing setting of wonderful natural imagery. for example the little beach town by the seaside with its stunning sunsets and storms in vivid beauty but wild and free. Overall, a great trilogy and I would give it five stars.

They hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put them down until I had read the final page of each book. They have wonderful storylines and amazing characters. Each one focuses on a couple and I found myself rooting for them to find happiness together. While the characters show they can be independent they also are looking for true love. Will they find it? I enjoyed reading about how the characters interact/banter with each other and the other characters in the books. These are wonderfully written stories that I would highly recommend reading.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Romance in Rehoboth is three separate stories. While each one can be read as a stand-alone, reading them in order tends to develop a better feel for Montgomery’s writing style and the characters that are casually mentioned through-out each story.

Fat Girl is the first book and is about Claire. Claire realizes that “everyone’s fat is different.” Most people are going through something in their life. Montgomery has created a character that learns she is strong, she is important, and everyone deserves unconditional love.

The Flip is one of the funnier stories I have read. Andrew and Sonnet inherit a house. While this normally wouldn’t be such a big deal, Andrew and Sonnet are not friends, which makes reading about them and their situations even funnier.

Plot Twist is book three and has a stage production setting. Lindy is our overweight sweetheart. She has little self esteem until she is on stage and then she feels like she can be anyone and do anything. She also learns that taking a chance could lead to greater things.

All three leading ladies learn that taking a risk has nothing to do with the size of your body but the size of your heart!

Loving this series so far!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery, 5 stars.

This set all revolves around the area around Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Book One is about Claire, a woman whom is freshly divorced, forced to live with her parents again, and forty is looming right around the corner. Not to mention that she has always been the fat girl. The one good thing — her job as a blogger. She decides she wants to change befor she hits that ominous number. Her plan — to lose some weight, and be happy again. Will she be able to find happiness and romance again?

Book Two finds two childhood enemies reunited after the death of Aunt Penny. She willed them both her house, and now they are forced to work together to update the house and make it able to flip. A few weeks together renovating a house and then they’ll never have to deal with each other again. That is doable, isn’t it? Or is Aunt Penny still manipulating things from her grave?

In Book Three, Lindy has always considered herself to be the fat friend. But she loves her two best friends and when they keep bugging her, she finally joins them in auditioning for a musical a new local theater group is putting together. It can’t be too bad right? She can just stand in the background and sing, if she even makes it. Plus there is some great eye candy. Meric has been burned by his ex-wife. He is a geeky accountant by day, but he finally feels the pull again of the theater. Will this musical, and maybe the gorgeous Lindy, make him feel again?

This was my first introduction to this author and I won’t lie, I mainly started this series because I live near Rehoboth Beach. I enjoy a good romance, but it is not my favorite genre. These books and this author have completely changed my ideas and mind about romance! They are fun, the characters are sarcastic and so loveable. Each book has a different story too, not just the same story with different leads. Plus they all interconnect, characters from previous books make an appearance in the newer ones. Not only that, but each book can be read as a standalone if you prefer to read them out of order. (I admit, I was a bad girl and read book two first!).

If you like fun romance with great, crazy characters, this set is for you!

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3)Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Romance in Rehoboth boxed set has the first three books in the series. I love this series for so many different reasons, but I think the biggest is the way I was able to connect and understand how the women felt, especially Lindy in the third book. There is so much positive body image and girl power for a lack of a better way to describe it. I felt better about myself and a bit empowered after reading.

The first book in the series is Fat Girl. This is the story that starts it all. Claire and Jack’s story was very realistic and refreshing. Claire starting over after a divorce and learning how to navigate the dating world which is incredibly different from the last time she dated.

The second book is The Flip and this is where we get to know Sonnet and Andrew. Sonnet is very brainy beautiful woman who gets reunited with her high school nemesis Andrew. They are forced to work together without killing one another.

The third and final book in this box set is Plot Twist. We meet Lindy and Meric while they are in a local theater production. Lindy is very self conscious and tries to hide in the background. She was the one I could relate with the most and think had the strongest feelings towards her. She was amazing! Meric is a great guy and exactly what Lindy needed.

I cannot recommend this set enough. Ms. Montgomery is on to something here and I am so glad I found her early on.

Fat Girl is a story of one woman’s journey of rediscovery and self acceptance. She is a writer and blogger who has a syndicated column in the NY Times. After her divorce she seeks therapy and though she loathes herself in the beginning of the book, by the end she accepts who she is and finds love along the way. It is an enlightening and inspiring story.

The Flip is a nice romantic comedy. Two old rivals inherit a house. After deciding to put their past behind them, they decide to work together to flip the house; seeing as they both need the money. The two couldn’t be more different but as the saying goes, opposites attract. This book is filled with eccentric neighbours to Mother Nature having tantrums. I laughed from beginning to end.

This is another romantic comedy that takes place backstage of a theatre production. Crazy things happen which force the director to create a “Plot Twist”. Love happens between a neurotic accountant and a clumsy woman. It is a quick, light read.

K.L Montgomery has a way of writing. She’ll have you crying one minute and laughing the next. This boxed set is definitely worth the read.

Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by K.L. Montgomery

5 Stars

I have read all of the Rehoboth books, totally out of order but I have read them and I’ve loved every single one of them as with anything I read by this author…Just a note about this author…She is beyond amazing and is in my top 5 favorites..She actually has a book out that is absolutely in my top 5 of all time.. So back to this series…

Fat Girl – This one touched me in a completely different way then the rest…Connecting to the main character was simple as there were times in my life I was in a position that I felt like all of the words and feelings in this book were my own. I found myself getting so angry at Claire and just wanting to slap her, but on the other hand I really felt like she was very strong and confident in who she was even when she wasn’t happy with how she looked. I really loved how this story was told and how real everything felt. I appreciated the building of friendships and I especially liked that there was no love at first site, I really truly never got a feel for what might happen and with who till the very end, and this was different…Normally it is very apparent what will happen and who it will happen with. I laughed out loud many times throughout as well…Her comebacks to messages received cracked me up.

The Flip – I am absolutely in love with this book. The interaction between Andrew and Sonnet (competitive adversaries since childhood) and what they thought of each other cracked me up. I loved the way the story unfolded while giving us tidbits of the past and how these two arch enemies became the way they were. The author was really creative with the hilarious obstacles that kept popping up while they were redoing the house left to them, from millipedes to rusty nails, sinkholes and then oh my goodness an alligator in Delaware. I laughed out loud so many times. This book just plain made me feel good, I Loved It!!!!

Plot Twist – This is Meric and Lindy’s story, two people who aren’t perfect, just one of the reasons I love this author so very much…These two both dealing with their own issues made me fall in love with them just like every other character that this author writes about. She never shies away from letting these women be real and deal with real issues as far as their bodies are concerned..I can’t even begin to explain how refreshing that is. I loved this story and the return of the characters from previous books was something I loved, they didn’t just make a quick appearance, they were part of the story. I fell in love also with Lindy’s parents and with the way Lindy treated her parents.

Each one of these stories are solid no doubt about it 5 star books and I can’t recommend them enough, read the whole series and I just know you will fall in love with this author as I have. She’s amazing and makes every story feel like you are right there watching them all unfold.

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars

Badge bunny is the fourth book in the Rehoboth series written by Ms. Montgomery and the third book in this series that I have read. While it is part of a series it is a stand-alone. I enjoyed the characters and their quirky ways and the storyline is funny and entertaining. Also this author’s writing style as it is easy flowing and engaging.
This is Chris and Brynne story and I can promise you will get a kick out of it.
Brynne Miller’s job as an ER doctor means she’s always meeting cops. In fact, she’s dated so many that her friends/coworkers call her “Badge Bunny.” But she will never date Chris Everson. Nope. Not a chance. He managed to piss her off within two seconds of meeting him and first impressions are everything.
Aren’t they?
Chris Everson has a pretty sweet life: a great job as a state trooper, lots of buddies to hang out with, and he lives at the beach. What could be better? But he’s harboring a secret–a secret that doesn’t fit with his whole tough guy cop persona. He’s gone to great lengths to keep his secret from his guy.
They both have secrets what happens when they come out? Can they over-come them or will they walk away from each other?
I really enjoyed this book/series….

This was a nice romantic comedy. It made me laugh and cry a bit. I was always looking forward to what disaster would happen next. Penelope Vaughn passes away and leaves her beach house to Andrew and Sonnet. Andrew is her great nephew and Sonnet is her neighbour’s daughter. The problem is that growing up, they were rivals in school. They were always competing for top spot. Ten years have passed since graduation and they have never crossed paths. Sonnet has become an actual rocket scientist and Andrew, though he has a brilliant mind, made nothing of his life. Both were excited to hear that they inherited a house. Both had dreams they wanted to pursue with the money they would make from flipping it.

Neither realized how much work the house actually needed. They decided to put their differences aside, roll up their sleeves and work towards a common goal, flipping the house. This is where the laughter began. From eccentric neighbours to mother nature’s tantrums, from mishaps with dogs and exotic pets, this book had it all. I was laughing all the way through.

Penelope’s plan to get these two together worked perfectly. I’m happy there wasn’t an instant attraction, I want to jump your bones thing. It was a nice slow build up which I’m sure started when they were kids but neither paid attention to it. As the weeks progressed, their feelings took them by surprise. I really enjoyed the book with it’s craziness and lovable characters.

This is her fourth book the the Romance in Rehoboth series and I have to say it’s the most entertaining. This chapter revolves around the live between Chris and Brynne. Now I have to admit Sonnet and Drew were my favourite couple until I read this book. I fell in love with Chris and Brynne. There are so many layers to each of them that they are truly amazing. The story pretty much centres around Sonnet and Drew’s wedding. From dolphins to sharks, crazy parents to evil grandmothers and bites to baseball bats, there was so much craziness that I was keeled over in stitches. I loved this book. The story made me happy, emotional and had me crying tears of joy. I think the author outdid herself with this one. I highly recommend that you read this book.

Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery is a fun romance. I really enjoyed the characters and the authors writing style. This is my first book in the series I have read but it can be read as a stand-alone. Brynne is a doctor and Chris is a state trooper. Basically a man in a uniform is always a good thing so when the lead character is an officer of the law you know it’s going to be a fun book. Overall I enjoyed it and would read others by K.L. Montgomery. 4 star rating.

The Flip (Romance in Rehoboth #2)The Flip by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sonnet is a career driven perfectionist. Andrew is a late twenties bartender who lives with his parents. Sonnet and Andrew grew up together and have hated each other for years after competing for every academic achievement in their school careers. The only thing that kept them close during school was Andrew’s Aunt Penny who was Sonnet’s next door neighbor. Aunt Penny has big plans in store for them and the trouble ensues! This book was such a fun, quick read! I love the whole enemies finding a common ground and becoming friends trope, especially when it involves such interesting characters as Sonnet and Andrew. This is the second book in the Romance in Rehoboth series, but doesn’t necessarily need to be read in order. I recommend reading “Fat Girl” first so you get a better feel for some characters that are in both books. Sonnet is such an amazingly bright and complex character to read about. I loved hers and Andrews’ passions in life and how driven they are by them. This book truly was just enjoyable to read! I give “The Flip” five stars!!

Plot Twist (Romance in Rehoboth #3)Plot Twist by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! What a fun book! As a lover of musical theatre, this book was right up my alley. I used to do plays and musicals in high school and this book really took me back to all the fun, all the drama and all the friends I made during theatre. This book is about Lindy, an overweight teacher who is too scared to try out for a major role but certainly has the chops for it! Meric is a slightly OCD accountant recovering from heartbreak, and is captivated by Lindy when he hears her sing. This book has all the common pitfalls of community theatre and oh so much more! I really loved reading about these characters and what the show means to them. As a warning, this book is the third in the Romance in Rehoboth series and I highly recommend reading the first two books to get a feel for the area and the people who crop up. This is such a fun series and I love every minute of it! So, of course, I give K.L Montgomery’s “Plot Twist” five stars!!

Fat Girl (Romance in Rehoboth, #1) By KL Montgomery – Review by Emily Brockschmidt

Fat Girl (Romance in Rehoboth #1)Fat Girl by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Fat Girl” is an inspiring tale of growth and inner strength by K.L. Montgomery. Our “Fat Girl” is Claire, who has battled body image issues from a young age and finds herself at 38 and desperately needing to reinvent her life. She is a wise, witty and wacky character who I ended up really relating to by the end of the book. The story reads like a diary, a nearly weekly account of Claire’s attempts to change her life. While the story tends to get long winded in parts, I found the details to really help explain how Claire thinks and how she acts. This is a story I feel like many women can relate to on some level. Whether their love life is in trouble or the battle with weight and body image issues, I feel many women could benefit from reading this. As a person who struggles with weight, I knew this book would speak to me. I had no idea just how much I would get from this story though. Claire seems like she could be any one of us and that makes her so relatable! So, I give “Fat Girl” five stars!!

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) K.L. Montgomery is the fourth book in the series and just as fun as the others. I enjoy reading books that K.L. writes as they are fun and quirky and make you laugh out loud. I also love that she writes in several POV’s which makes them even funnier when you are reading from the male perspective. I absolutely adored each one I have read. I suggest you read them in order as the characters cross over and make them feel like old friends. One Cop possibly looking for love, One Doctor sworn off Cops, One Wedding, One Storm and some misunderstandings make for some interesting times and one great read. Trust me when I say you can not, not read this series. I can’t wait to see what K.L. has for us next.

Plot Twist (Romance in Rehoboth #3) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Sara Oxton

Plot Twist (Romance in Rehoboth #3)Plot Twist by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Plot Twist by K.L. Montgomery a four-star read that will twist you. This is the third book in the Romance in Rehoboth series they can be read as stand-alone but I have read as a series and enjoyed them as such, again as with the previous book I wanted to give it five-stars but there was something stopping me, its weird, its well written and has great characters a plot you could believe in and situations that will twist your heart. I think with this one if you have read a few of the authors previous books you will notice recurring themes through her writing and it was almost face slapping in this one, If you can get over that you will love it. If your new to the author, then enjoy her writing. Meric Chandler did make me want to punch him once or twice with just how clueless and uncaring he first appeared, but as you get to know him and understand him you will go from wanting to punch him to believing in him, like he does himself, he shows us that he can be a baddie on the stage and a goodie the other side of the curtain. Lindy Larson I struggled with, I know she doesn’t have any confidence in herself, but then she does things that show you different. By the end I changed my view and she did make a great heroine of the story.

The Flip (Romance in Rehoboth, #2) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Denise Owens

The Flip (Romance in Rehoboth #2)The Flip by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Flip is the second book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery, and it s a contemporary romance novel. The story is about a young man named Andrew or “Drew”, and a woman named Sonnet, who are both 29 years old, have known each other since they were young children, and used to hang out at Andrew’s Great Aunt Penny’s house after school and all day during the summer. Sonnet and her parents used to live next door to Penny until her parents sold the house and moved to Florida while Sonnet was in college. Aunt Penny recently died and left her house that is a couple of blocks from the Rehoboth Beach to Andrew and Sonnet. Andrew and Sonnet were “mortal enemies” when they were growing up. Andrew used to tease Sonnet all of the time, especially when his friends were with him. As they got older, Andrew developed a crush on Sonnet, but he would never have let her know about it. Sonnet was a bit overweight, had acne, frizzy hair, and wore thick glasses, back then but she has always been very smart. Sonnet was her high school class’ valedictorian, with Drew coming in second by only a hair. Drew was naturally smart, never having to study, he was the quarterback on the football team, and he could make friends with just about anyone. On graduation day, as Sonnet was walking up to the podium to give her valedictorian speech, Andrew stuck his foot out and tripped Sonnet, causing her to fall across the stage. Sonnet was extremely embarrassed, but she got up and gave her speech, but she’s hated him ever since. Andrew is not too fond of Sonnet either since she always has to be right. When he sees her in the lawyer’s office he is shocked, one of the reasons being because she is so beautiful that he almost doesn’t recognize her. Sonnet has lost a lot of weight, her hair is straight, her skin has cleared up, and she is wearing contact lenses. Sonnet recognizes Drew but he is not as fit as he had been when she last saw him, in fact he’s actually put on a few pounds since high school. After the lawyer gives them each a key to Penny’s house, they realize that if they both want to get the house sold and split the money between them, they must somehow learn to get along and restore this house together. Can Sonnet and Drew get along long enough to flip Aunt Penny’s house?

I really enjoyed this novel from K.L. Montgomery. The chapters were written in Andrew and Sonnet’s point of view which gives the reader a unique insight into what the characters are thinking. All of the characters that we meet in this book have depth and are interesting. The story is interesting, entertaining, is not predictable, and sometimes caused me to laugh out loud. I highly recommend this novel.

Fat Girl (Romance in Rehoboth, #1) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Denise Owens

Fat Girl (Romance in Rehoboth #1)Fat Girl by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fat Girl is the first book in the Romance in Rehoboth series by K.L. Montgomery. It is a contemporary romance novel. The story is about a 39 year old woman named Claire, and she writes a blog on the internet. Claire recently separated from her soon to be ex-husband, Jeremy. Claire has a teenaged son, who is in high school and his name is Elliott. Elliott lives in Lewes, Delaware with his mom, in his grandparents home, while Claire saves money to buy a house for the two of them in the Rehoboth Beach area. Elliott visits his father, who still lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, in the home that Elliott grew up in, one or two weekends a month. Claire found out that her husband was cheating on her when she found a phone in Jeremy’s gym bag, while she was looking for his dirty clothes to put into the wash. When Claire confronted Jeremy about the fact that he was cheating on her, he didn’t even try to deny it. Jeremy was cheating with a young woman who belonged to the same gym that Jeremy and Claire belonged to, and she was much younger than him. Claire had wanted to try to save their marriage, but Jeremy told her that he would plan to still see his mistress, so Claire thought it best to end their marriage, since he clearly didn’t love her any more, since he wanted to keep seeing this woman. Claire felt that maybe Jeremy wouldn’t have started the affair if she wasn’t fat. Claire was now seeing a therapist several times a week, Dr. Dawn, whose office was close to her parents’ home in Lewes, to help her to learn to deal with the end of her marriage and with other problems.

Claire had been fat since she was at least nine years old, and she had been teased and bullied a lot in her childhood because of it. Even her mother, who was tall and thin, like Claire’s younger sister, Emma, gave her a hard time about her weight. These things caused Claire to start an unhealthy habit to lose weight starting when she was a teenager. Claire would hardly eat anything and then exercise like crazy. Sometimes she felt really weak and light-headed because of it, but she would try to ignore that, and carry on with her plan to lose weight. Even though her plan for losing weight was obviously unhealthy, Claire’s mom had to have noticed since Claire was not eating many meals when she was home, but her mother said nothing to Claire about her unhealthy eating and exercising routine. Now that she is living back in Lewe’s, Claire’s best friend, Jean-Marc Tasse, has helped her a lot, too. She could always go to his house to vent or laugh at whatever was bothering her, and he was the first person that she told about the offer that she has gotten to write a column for a famous newspaper in New York.

Claire felt that she was ready to date again, but because she was a writer and she could stay at home
to work, she didn’t have the opportunity to meet men. Jean-Marc told her about a dating site, that he uses, and Claire decided to try it out. The first man that she meets from the site is a man named Jack. Jack teaches music at a private school called the Delmarva Academy, he’s 35 years old, divorced, and he has a 3 year old daughter who lives in Texas with her mother. Claire sees Jack about once a week because they feel comfortable getting to know each other and they become friends, but Claire is starting to feel attracted romantically towards him, too. She feels that Jack probably isn’t attracted to her physically because of her weight. Will Claire get the chance to become romantically involved with Jack? Will she begin to deal with her body image issues?

I really enjoyed this book by K.L. Montgomery. I’ve had body image issues my whole life, and was bullied about my weight a lot by my sister, neighborhood kids, and adults. I even dieted in an unhealthy manner during my senior year of high school, losing almost 40 pounds in 3 months. I enjoyed how the author dealt with Claire’s weight issues since I can definitely relate. I believe that this is a wonderful romance novel that everyone would love, and even though it is the first book in the series, it is definitely a stand-alone novel.

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth #4) by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Sara Oxton

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4)Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Badge Bunny by K.L. Montgomery a five-star read that will make you hop. This is book four in the Romance in Rehoboth series and my favourite of the whole series, the can be read as stand-alone but characters do pop up in each other’s stories, I have read as a series and enjoyed it as such. This book was sublime, I loved how Chris Everson the dark and broody Trooper who has a way with words that melt underwear as well as much else has this whole other side to him, he is such a playboy that I was convinced his secret was that he was a male entertainer, he just has the confidence for it. Needless to say, it’s not that but it will make your heart warm. Its not just him that isn’t what you expect on the surface, Brynne Miller is also not what she seems, a studious doctor on the surface, and a metal head badge bunny underneath, but just like deaf leppard she can change her spots, just because police officers are all she meets in her job, doesn’t mean she has to date them does it? This story will keep you hooked as they fight the drama and get ready for a wedding, will it all work in the end? You need to read the story to find out.
